Soooo TOH AU where Raine doesn’t join a coven and stays with Eda and Raine is there for the whole series.

Like just one day Eda shows up with King like ‘SUPRISE’ and Raine is instantly in panic mode reading parenting books and trying to babyproof because ‘WTF WTF What even is he? EDA WHAT DOES HE EAT?’

First episode ends and Raine gets home and they just stare and Luz and is then like ‘it happened again’ and is trying to humanproof house ‘EDA WHAT FOODS CAN HUMANS EAT? IS SHE ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING?’

Just Married Raine and Eda being parents, Raine teaching Luz and King music and bard magic and Luz showing Raine some songs from the human world. Raine trying to be the responsible parent…but them also being almost as chaotic as Eda.

Raine finding out Lilith cursed Eda and Eda being captured and being in murder mode.

Them finding out about Luz fighting Belos ‘I am so proud of you right now but I do need to go over there and have a panic attack for 5 minutes I love you’

Just Eda and Raine watching Lumity unfold like oh boy this is fmaialr…they have a betting pool on how long it’ll take them to start going out.

Alador, spreading toothpaste on toast: Multitasking.

Odalia: I can’t believe you changed your hair. And you two helped. Just wait until your father sees you in such an unbecoming color Amity.

Alador enters, mumbling: Morning.

Everyone stares at him as he sits and sleepily sips his coffee. He looks to the side and sees Amity.

Alador: Who are you?

Amity: It’s me, Amity.

Alador nods in recognition before leaning forward and examining Amity’s hair, Amity leaning back slightly in discomfort.

Alador, with all seriousness: Amity?

Amity, holding her breath: Yes?

Alador: Can you help dye my hair? That color would really help hide the abomination goo stains.

Odalia, rubbing her forehead: Alador…

Eda’s Requiem!

         Ukla! Derwin! Amber!

         KATYA! DARIUS! EBERWOLF!!!

         We got NAMES y’all… And Scooter Crane, the previous head of the Bard Coven, who has retired! No relation to Raine Whispers… Wonder how Belos felt about Crane retiring, or if he preferred a younger replacement for whatever role the Coven Heads are playing?

         Because… Well, firstly- WE FINALLY see Kikimora’s other eye, and it’s red! And she’s able to activate the coven binding (so confirmation that Coven Heads are bound) to restrict and potentially mind-control Raine… Well, at least Raine is alive and not a traitor to Eda! BUT DANG IT RAINE WWWHHHYYYYY!!!!!

         Also, needing a group of people to activate a powerful spell, and being unable to kill them for it?! This is just like the sacrifices from Fullmetal Alchemist… Though if it’s anything like the ‘Sacrifices’, then the Coven Heads MIGHT be okay! If Raine doesn’t know, it’s probable that the others like Darius and Eberwolf are unaware… But who knows, Belos may have left out Raine due to their obvious recency! I could definitely see OG coven heads knowing the specifics of the plan…

         And all nine coven heads, to represent all nine forms of magic, united to form magic as a whole- And likely to draw power from each of the nine forms of coven binding! Because this episode confirmed what a lot of us suspected, that the coven bindings form a dual purpose- Not JUST to restrict magic, but to even DRAIN IT for whatever spell Belos will use to merge the realms! The question I gotta ask is- Will witches still have magic leftover?

Hunting Palismen!!!

         HUNTER!!!!!

         WE HAVE A NAME AND HE’S HUNTER!!!

         I cannot WAIT to use this tag now!

         Also Hunter the Golden Guard… My beloved… Your tooth gap was NOT expected but it’s literally the most ADORABLE thing, I can’t believe it!

         Hunter is babey, I don’t care anymore… He really DOES have a soft side, and like Lilith, he’s caught between the Owl House and the Emperor’s Castle… HENCE, his placement in the intro! Speaking of;

         NEW INTRO!!! Amity has a new necklace now, it’s a crescent moon over a black circle, which reminds me a LOT of that cloaked, crescent moon figure from the trailer… Is this the guardian of the Eclipse Lake, and after her trial there, Amity will be gifted a new necklace in recognition? Just like her shoes…!

         Also, Amity stayed home- Alas, the show had to focus on the palismen, having Lumity would’ve overbrimmed everything… I bet she’s LOVE sick! HA-haaa… But alas, no Palisman for Amity! But we DID get Palismen for a few others…!

         Firstly, I’m so happy to see Eda use her whistle… AND HELL YEAH it’s a scenario where the Bat Queen tells Eda that this one is on her, this doesn’t COUNT as a ‘favor’ because the Bat Queen wants to do this! And Bump… BUMP MY BOY! Letting Eda be a mentor and teacher here, as she gets to erase and redo her past pains from Hexside, gets to teach OTHER kids besides Luz… The symbolism of her becoming a teacher as well!

“Eda reached Raine’s wrist and paused, her face softening in pain and sadness as she gently ran her fingers over the agitated and darkly-colored coven seal. Instead of tending to it like any of their other wounds, she instead lifted Raine’s wrist to her lips and pressed her lips against it. As cliche as it sounded, Raine could’ve sworn any pain they had been feeling evaporated the minute Eda’s lips connected with their skin.“

"Eat your Berries Bat!" Oldalia remarked, picking up another berry to throw at the Bard covener.

Alador stood behind her, holding their violin, so Raine couldn't preform their magic to escape. They were stuck and Oldalia relished in it.

Raine covered their head as berries continued to rain down on them. Odalia's friends laughing as the berries splattered onto Raine's hair and clothes. It's only been a week since they split the curse with Eda. At first Raine could handle it...but one day they accidentally forgot to take their elixer and they transformed in the middle of class, luckily Eda shared the same class so she had an extra elixer. But everyone saw their cursed form and of course Odalia found out.....she's the most popular witch in school afterall. She just loves the drama and to feel superior.

Jerk.

"Aww is the bat not Hungry?" Odalia said with fake sympathy. "That's ok...." She snapped her fingers and two of her friends came forward.

They were in the illusion coven and before they knew it they were drawing circles.

Odalia smirked, "You love music right, Rainy? Let us show you our music! It'll blow your ears off!" She exclaimd, a huge smile on her face.

Her illusion friends had microphones on their hands, glowing a slight blue as they gave one to Oldalia.

Alador seem distracted, not receiving his blue microphone as his focus was on a spider he was examining.

Raine started to tremble, they knew what Odalia was planning. She knew they hated loud noises...especially now that their ears became sensitive thanks to the curse. Raine covered their ears with their hands as they dropped on their knees. Oldalia still had a smile on her face though.

Time slowed for Raine as a sudden blast of sound filled the role. Over the noise Raine could hear Oldalia laugh, her laughter echoed the walls thanks to the microphone.

Tears started to stream down Raines face as they cried out from the pain in their ears. Even with their ears covered they still could hear that sound.

Raine could feel the bat scream and bash under their skin. They desperately told the beast to calm down, but it wouldn't listen as it whined and cried out from the noise.

Raine started to tremble uncontrollably, if this keeps going the beast will take over. Raine doesn't want to hurt anyone, they just want Oldalia to stop.

"Aww....are you waiting for that orange haired freak to save you, Rainy?" Oldalia remarked, chuckling as the noise slowly stopped.

Raine uncovered their ears as relief was shown on their face but that relief soon disappeared as they felt Oldalia kick them down with a hard thump.

Oldalia's grin became malicious as she continued to kick them.

"Monsters aren't allowed, Rainy! That Freak, Clawthorne ruined you!" Oldalia seethed, enjoying Raines cries of pain.

Suddenly Raine grabbed Oldalia's foot, stopping her kicks as they growled, "Eda didn't ruin me....AND DONT YOU EVER CALL EDA A FREAK!"

Oldalia took a step back at the green haired witches aggressiveness, it was very uncharacteristic of Whispers to get angry. It shocked Oldalia a little....

Only a little....

"I can call her a freak If I want too! She isn't here now is she?" Oldalia mocked.

Too cocky....

Suddenly loud screams of her friends echoed in the room, then Aladors. She turned around instantly to find no one. When Oldalia turned back to find Raine, they weren't there either....they were taken. Oldalia looked around frantically, a dash of yellow flying past her.

Oldalia knew who it was.....

Clawthorne!

"Come out you Owl Freak!" Oldalia Yelled, sweat apparent on her face she started to tremble.

Oldalia knew how strong Clawthorne was from all the battles she's seen. Even after Clawthorne was cursed her powers didn't weaken....

Clawthorne was a true MONSTER

Suddenly Oldalia was struck in the back

Then her side

Then her head

Clawthornes speed was inhuman as she kept getting struck until blood was drawn. The yellow blurr slowing down until she faced Oldalia.

Eda looked so pissed. Her usually wacky and weird self seemingly gone as she gave Oldalia a death look.

She seemed like a whole different person.

She almost seemed inhuman....

A yellow aura surrounded her, her eyes even glowed as she growled.

Oldalia wiped the blood from her mouth yelling, "where are my friends!?"

Eda simply grunted, "there fine.... but you should worry more about yourself...."

Eda suddenly came closer, feathers appearing as she growled loudly.

"You hurt Raine...."

Oldalia took a step back, words stuck in her throat. Eda continued, her voice getting deeper as the curse grew.

"You hurt my Bat!....Now your going to face the consequences of your actions...."

Oldalia fell to the ground, tears straining her eyes in fear.

Eda caught and gripped Oldalia's shirt bringing her closer, Eda's hands becoming claws as she whispered,

"What do you say Oldalia? Afraid of a little Owl like me?"
