Sometimes my clients start out their real estate journey believing these myths. They think it’s not a good time to buy, it’s too expensive, or that their credit isn’t good enough. But none of those objections are a good reason not to buy a home! Let’s break it down. - I can’t afford it: there are many programs designed to make buying your first home for little or no money upfront possible. Plus, you could save money compared to renting while building equity, which goes back into your pocket when you sell. - I don’t have good credit: Buyers can get a mortgage with as low as a 500 credit score. If your credit score is above 580, you’ll have more loan options and be able to put down only 3.5% though an FHA loan. - It’s not a good time to buy or sell: this one is so wrong! Now is both a great time to buy and to sell. The market has balanced out, which makes it a lot less stressful to buy and sell.
