Honestly you people need to start thinking about fanfiction like a restaurant.
You do not have to order the salmon if you don't like salmon.
If I order the salmon, I am not forcing you to eat the salmon. Nor are you obligated to order it just because I am.
If we are going with the intention of sharing food, that's okay! I happen to like steak too. I don't need to order the salmon. I'm capable of going to the restaurant and not ordering the salmon. We can order the steak.
There is a whole menu of things you can have. The salmon is just an option. We can even find a restaurant that doesn't serve salmon at all.
Yes, I know some people are allergic to salmon. But I'm not going up to them and force-feeding it to them. The only way my salmon can hurt them is if they come to our table and take the salmon.
The only way you'll expose yourself to my salmon and the unpleasantness of eating it is if I tell you my dish has salmon in it and you insist on having a bite anyway.
You're midway through your meal and realize it has salmon in it? Okay. Lets send it back and order something else. Maybe you didn't see it in the ingredients list. Or maybe the chef didn't put it down.
Its really that simple.

It is deep into the evening when you wake, the house bathed in darkness and the silence that always accompanies the hour. Sleep clings heavy upon your psyche, eager to welcome you back within its grasp, but nature calls. You pad your way to the bathroom, a guiding light unneeded—you know this place and everything within like the back of your hand.
You pay the crawling, coiling shadows flitting from corner to corner no mind, dismiss the peculiar chill in the air; the tired mind often conjures the strangest of things.
The figure in the mirror, however, roots you to the spot.
It is a simple glimpse from the corner of your eye—a passing acknowledgement not to worry, that is just you—that sets your hair raising and a chill racing down the length of your spine.
Don't look! your mind warns but it is too late. Stood before your reflection it is as if everything else has faded away.
It appears to be you but the clothes, the oppressive darkness that drapes their face...
Stop looking! your mind pleads once more but you cannot tear your gaze away. The darkness is too commanding—too alluring.
The figure reaches towards you and, unthinkingly, you mimic the action.
Their fingers thread between yours and then they pull.

There's nothing quite like getting a call from the vet you've been struggling to get a hold of for months, finally reaching out to you... a week after your cat has passed away.

I would have gone to an emergency clinic if so#I just woke up to find he had quietly passed away in the night laying beside me in bed#Excuse me I'm just really salty and angry and still hurting
