Street Fighter 6 character birthday commentary audio

From November 11 to April 15. I’ve compiled these into one vid. Characters include A.K.I., Dhalsim, Guile, Juri, Cammy, Blanka, Ken, Luke, Chun-Li, and Kimberly.

I’m still a little salty on the AKI one and much preferred the Japanese version where it says that “she adores him so much that she almost poisoned him” rather than the doom and gloom one of the English version. And I swear, I’m not one of those people that think everything in Japan is better—I’m just F.A.N.G bias, that’s all.

Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve made an SFV mod. Of course, it had to be F.A.N.G in his SF6 outfit 💜💜. I probably would have worked on this much earlier if it wasn’t for me still trying to figure out how to swap and extract FANG’s SF6 model with his parameters intact. I’m still trying to figure that out, or if it’s not possible at all. What prompted me to make this mod recently was because of a conversation between Sleepy_Scrub and AegisGN where the latter wanted an SFV FANG mod in his SF6 clothes. I realized I’m not gonna make a proper SF6 FANG swap over AKI anytime soon, so I might as well make the SF6 back port to SFV lol.

This mod is not perfect, but it indeed took a lot of time for me to make. I wrote my process in the download link here:

Sometime after I released my mod, Sleepy_Scrub made this awesome SFV vid that featured all of his SF6 backports that included my FANG mod here:

There were a few comments asking why AKI wasn’t replacing FANG for the vid above. I’ll tell you this: if FANG didn’t have a pseudo 3D model in SF6, either me or Sleepy would have ported AKI over FANG in SFV. But since FANG exists in SF6, it makes much more sense to port FANG’s SF6 clothes over himself.

And for those curious, I made a vid showcasing my FANG mod along with Sleepy’s here. They’re all FANG scenes, so I apologize that there’s no Juri or Kimberly/Ibuki parts. The vid has both English and Japanese audio, and showcases the mod with Glasses and No Glasses versions:

By the way, I learned how to mod SFV because of Sleepy_Scrub’s wonderful modding tutorial here. It’s very beginner friendly and it’s what made me got over my dread on using Blender 3D. Because of this tutorial, I end up making multitudes of SFV mods, learned new things on the way, learned to mod other UE4 games, and eventually got into RE Engine modding that had me making SF6 modding tutorials. It’s basically all thanks to Sleepy’s tutorial :

Screenshots of F.A.N.G (Fang Fei) in Street Fighter 6. Knowing him SFV and then seeing him in SF6 will always be wild to me, especially when his glasses are removed. He was from a cartoony looking Disney villain to something more realistic…and they made him so gorgeous 😍😍. I love both his SFV and SF6 designs by the way 💜💜

I think it’s an interesting detail that the devs gave him dark smokey eyes. Yes, FANG had them too in SFV with his story Nguuhao costume, but it wasn’t as prominent as his SF6 iteration. I’m not really sure the reason why they gave him such eyes like that (the World Guide book said nothing about FANG’s design). But I’d imagine SF6 FANG doesn’t get enough sleep because he’s hard at work in trying to revive Shadaloo…and his continual usage of poisons.

World Tour lighting isn’t really the greatest because a lot of nice detail on the characters are made to be unnoticeable. Playing around with the lights and rendering through REFramework had opened my eyes on how well-made these avatar and NPCs are. They’re not at the same level as the roster characters, but they still look quite stunning in this lighting.

OMG THIS!! 💜💜. I love A.K.I.’s small bust. I’m glad Capcom made her that way. I much prefer her like this than any depiction that blow up her breast size. Plus, I feel represented lmao.

At first I thought the devs made her small chested just to match her with F.A.N.G’s body type (both have similar slender build), but I saw a concept art of AKI a long while ago. The written notes suggest that they want AKI to have some sort of “immaturity” with her body because she’s one of the youngest in the SF6 roster.

Well, if she grows up and appear in later Street Fighter titles, I still want her to be small chested lol.

Aki isn't flat but I'm happy we have a female character with smaller-than-average-by-fighting-games-standards chest without her being childish or masculine

So about them Season 2 SF6 Leaks

There were a mixture of reactions for this. The people who main those characters are happy while everyone else, which I think it’s the majority, were really upset. The leaker is supposedly Vergeben, who actually had a hit or miss record in leaking info. But his leak for the SF6 season 1 characters was almost 100% accurate, down to “Cammy wearing pants.” To me, if there’s a short written description of the characters’ appearance, they tend to be true as oppose to just naming the characters. But I read that this Vergeben may be an imposter because that’s not his real Reddit account. His real account is DasVergeben while the most recent one is shinvergeben. But the DasVergeben account hadn’t posted anything in the past 2 years, so who knows if shinvergeben is the same guy or not, but created a new Reddit account.

Ngl, when I saw the list, I was kinda sad. F.A.N.G’s purpose in Street Fighter 6 is to revive Bison and Shadaloo. This was known since the TOXICITY story was released in 2018. I’d like to see how his revival journey would unfold in his Arcade or World Tour Mode because it sounds like a compelling character story. But if Bison comes back as a DLC before a playable F.A.N.G, that could mean FANG’s moment to shine in SF6 would become unlikely because his goal had already been met, so what’s the point. Sure, we might see FANG’s revival journey through Bison’s story, but it would be much better if it was through a playable FANG. It would give more meaning and significance to his story. Alas, I guess I’ll just accept FANG as an NPC for the entirety of SF6. FANG would be happy for Bison’s return, at least. But I’d still be salty that Capcom decided to steal FANG’s thunder. It would be nice if both FANG and Bison were to some back to SF6 in the same season…preferably FANG coming before Bison. Oh well. Dee Jay and Ed spoiled me so much because they proved that characters don’t have to be super popular in order to come back to a Street Fighter game.

Anyway enough of my rant. Regardless if the leaker source is true or false, I personally believe the Bison part is true. Back many months ago in October, I found unused voice clips for F.A.N.G. I had a feeling they’ll eventually be used in a later dlc. At first I thought they would be heard in the Ed DLC, but that didn’t happen. So I have a feeling they would be used in the Bison DLC instead. F.A.N.G did say Bison’s name twice in unknown contexts, and they were not heard during the AKI dlc. I’m assuming he either thinks about Bison or he finally sees Bison alive again. You can listen to extracted unused voice audio here, starting at 0:39 :

Now I have my own thoughts on what may happen during the Bison DLC. Based on the voice lines above, I think the avatar would be helping F.A.N.G in finding resources to revive Bison and Shadaloo. Unused lines like “You have my gratitude” and “Splendid job” sounds like you’re doing some tasks for him. I did mentioned about this in an older post:

Concept art of SF6 World Tour characters from the “Street Fighter 6 World Guide” book. I got myself the kindle version because I heard from atgrbread that there’s one concept art pic of F.A.N.G. I wanted to see it so bad that I end up buying this…just for one little picture lol.

But look what I got here!

Characters include Bosch, Li-Fen, Alice, Carlos Miyamoto, Thrasher Damnd, Rudra, Kalima, Yua, Uou & Saouo, Punch, Rewancha, Retsu, Bao Bao Bro, R.O.B.B.I.E., Blanka-Chan, Mel Masters, Singing Wolf, Azam, Eternity,

I post these here because hardly anyone goes to Tumblr lol.

Anyway, the book essentially contains information and images about the characters that are already present in the game. There’s a lot of behind the scenes content that was written. It’s all in Japanese, so I used Google translate to read it lol. The information was quite intriguing on how the characters were conceptualized, how the game was designed, and why some of the returning characters were chosen to be part of SF6.

Some interesting things:

- A.K.I. was going to be a charge character, but the nature of her moves proved to be too difficult, so they changed her to motion.

- One of the inspirations of creating JP was of villain Magnussen from the Sherlock series.

- Ed was a huge drive for creating Street Fighter 6. It is said that his character in SFV had a handsome aesthetic and is easy to use. He was popular amongst new players. And that was how World Tour was created—it was meant to draw in new audiences and players and to ease them into fighting games. Also SFV Ed was the predecessor for Modern controls, despite him becoming a totally different character playstyle-wise in SF6. And his SFV theme song was a big inspiration for the music in SF6 as the theme of this game is hip hop.

I can’t believe I bought this just for a F.A.N.G pic, but I end up enjoying what i read 💜💜

I was looking through some old F.A.N.G art and forgot I made another version for Garnet. I don't think I ever released this one in public??

More old art of F.A.N.G mains from 2022 to 2023. A continuation from a previous post:

Capcom Cup IX…my goodness, I remember it was absolutely glorious. And can you believe there were 3 F.A.N.G mains that qualified on that year?! First it was Mono of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, Vegapatch of Spain 🇪🇸 , and Mortsy of Canada 🇨🇦 . At first I thought I’d celebrate F.A.N.G’s last hurrah at EVO 2022, but Capcom Cup IX was even more hype. I was rooting for all three of them.

Though sadly Mono and Mortsy had to face each other since they were in the same pool, but their mirror match was spectacular.

A fun bit from that same pool was that Mono helped Momochi (Cody) get into Top 16 by winning against Big Bird’s Ken. From then on, the two were dubbed Monochi 😎👍😎👍

Vegapatch managed to nab the #7 spot, so a F.A.N.G player made it to TOP 8 in Capcom Cup. He beat out EVO 2022 champ Kawano’s Luke. Yes, a F.A.N.G won against a Luke, and that Luke was played by an extremely strong player from Japan. Now THAT is something to talk about!

Yes, that’s me screaming like crazy there lol!

I must mention that Garnet of Italy almost made it to Capcom Cup IX. He would have been the third F.A.N.G player (I drew that picture before Mortsy became the actual third) to have make it. There would have been 4 FANG mains really lol. But he was outdone by Geeck-O’s Cammy. That is not the end of it though. Garnet is qualified for this year’s Capcom Cup X as a Dhalsim main. Yes, he did tried out A.K.I. because of the F.A.N.G affiliation, but her playstyle is not quite the same as her Master’s…and AKI is in serious need of buffs lol 🙏🙏, and the game mechanics can be overwhelming. So he went back to Dhalsim. Nevertheless, I’m rooting for Garnet because he was an amazing former F.A.N.G main. And don’t mind the error on my other Garnet fanart as my mind slipped away writing 2020 instead of 2022 😅😅

One F.A.N.G main placed at 9th at Capcom Cup in SFV’s Season 1 in 2016. Three F.A.N.G mains at Capcom Cup was made possible in 2023, and one placed at Top 8. Hopefully we’ll get to see at least three A.K.I. Players in a Capcom Cup event by the end of SF6’s lifespan or even earlier than that 💜🤞🤞💜

Happy (late) day of Birth to F.A.N.G!!

I know I’m pretty darn late, it’s not like I totally finished weeks ago but my art app refused to work anymore because of me, so I couldn’t download it!! 🤩

You know what though, it’s the uh- Thought that counts or uhm let’s just say the number 22 which is actually the number 2 twice, which is today so actually I was late on purpose!! ☝️🤓

Anyways, I wanted to make a post related to my favorite wacky poison guy’s birthday yayyay!! Even if I’m late uhm, anyways I love this dude, he’s just kinda lovable for being so evil and goofy in my opinion, which is gonna the only reasoning I need to validate myself. 😎👍

Also because I unintentionally missed A.K.I.’s birthday, unfortunately by a long shot even more so then this dude’s- I decided to “plan” better ahead and managed to finish this drawing within a “reasonable” amount of time, UP UNTIL MY ART APP STOPPED WORKING HAHAHAHAH AND I GOT BUSY WITH SCHOOL WORK, and to just add A.K.I. into this drawing as a mini version on his shoulder :))

Funnily enough I meant to post this sooner, but have I mentioned that? HAHAH. 😀 I’ve been almost done with this drawing for like, forever!! I just haven’t gotten to “finish finish” because I didn’t shade A.K.I. and add my @ yet from my sudden need to go attend to school matters- 😭

(And I just wanna point out that I did go out of my way to make sure it’s mainly just “two” of everything. Two hearts, two figures on the cake, and two extra little triangle/line details I always draw instead of my usual three!! 🤭)
