I want season 1 of the Netflix DMC show to be DMC2.
But like re contextualized as Dante going through a depressive episode?
He killed his brother, the two women in his life just up and left and he's just treating Vie de Marli like a desk job. Like the combat mostly Dante just walking through shooting his guns with sweeping camera work and hard hitting music. But it's comparable to "Hollywood Hacker vs Real Life Hack" where without the camera work, techno music and pseudo tech jurgon hacking is just a dude typing at a computer.
Oh sure DMC 3 and 1 get episodes and the action portrayed as being more genuine? Mostly because Dante is far more happier dude in comparison? And you get the Impression that he's dragging his feet because if he let's this plot happen MAYBE it'll be fun? Only for like Alucard (Remember the Castlevania shows are canon in this) to confirm that it's not going to be interesting? And Dante really doesn't treat this with any amount of urgency? Like he's treating this more like "Aw Fuck I gotta go into the basement to restart the breaker."
Like the show is REALLY treating Argosax as being this End Time threat but Dantes like "I'm gonna win anyway why should care about his reputation?" But not in a cocky manner? More like to him Argosax is a varmint digging through his garbage ONE NIGHT before garbage day. He's Genuine about it, and that provides a bit of a cold comfort?
And the Final Battle is a tad disappointing? Because Dante is right he wins but it's not exactly fun?
And then we get the Set up for season 2 which is DMC4.
But seems like we're getting a DMC3 adaptation and I think thats neat.
