sometimes i remember that this leon lore is genuine canon (re6), and it makes me so *sad*. but on a personal mercie note it also helps me get through my bad episodes, if that makes sense? like if leon can keep going, so can i. it's my coping mechanism for pmdd and bpd flare ups :')

i do this literally all the time with resident evil characters all the time. when i was at one of my lower points mentally, i'd always try to do one task a day to look after myself— even if i'd only manage to brush my hair, or get a few calories in my system, i'd use the characters as motivation to keep going because i'd tell myself they'd be proud of me :3

if your coping mechanism works, then it works. never be ashamed of what helps you get through it <3

sometimes you just have to let yourself be a bit neurodivergent.

i hate going out, it gives me a lot of anxiety and sensory input that i dont like, and i am often forced to talk to people.

so i do this thing on more difficult days, or sometimes just for fun, where i "bring a fictional character with me". i walk and imagine Fictional Character walking next to me. they talk to me, reassure me, hype me up, whatever i need them to do.

today dean winchester came christmas shopping with me. he went over the list with me of stuff i needed to get, told me i was doing a good job every time i finished in a certain shop, reminded me to take a deep breath when i got a little overwhelmed.

and yea. its kinda silly. and i know its just me talking to myself in a different voice, but it Works! especially since all of my special interests/hyperfixations tend to be tv/movie related.

so do what you gotta do to Get Shit Done. stop holding yourself to neurotypical standards. if you need Fictional Character to tell you you're doing a good job, do it! if you need Favourite Singer to walk you to school, do it! yea it might feel silly but you're literally fighting against your own brain to get stuff done every single day. you can have a little self indulgent daydream, as a treat.

hi guys!! just figured i'd give you all a little life update <3

i ended up dropping out of university back in january. the place was beautiful, but tbh i wasn't doing well mentally, and i really struggled with the culture there in terms of partying, and trying to make friendships (i went to a university which has a bit of a reputation for attracting a group of people who look down on working class people myself).

i've moved again, and i'm now living near the lovely town of whitby— if the hometown of dracula doesn't inspire me to post more, i don't know what will! ;) currently working on chapter two of 'lips of an angel', however i can't post anything bc i'm living super rural, and i need to get starlink (currently living on mobile data!)

i hope you're all doing well, and thank you all for sticking through all my shenanigans!! this summer is gonna be for WRITING
