The cube is just a fancier version of milk crates, so i am unsure as to how they were so mystified.

Took my cube to the charity shop today

Me: hi I've got this for you

Volunteer: what is it?

Me: it's a donation

Volunteer: no what IS it

Me: it's just like a shelf?

Volunteer: can you turn it around so I can see how it works

[I rotate the cube so the top is upwards. This makes no different to the appearance of the cube]

Volunteer: did it come off a chest of drawers or something?

Trying a new hair thing. It’s long enough that in the usual buns it brushes the tops of my ears, and that drives me right up the wall.

i ought to get it trimmed (or bite the bullet and do it myself), but money. Also people really close to my face. Which, yick.

i don’t know that i’m super-enamoured wiv the look, but there’s really only so much i can do wiv the type and amount of hair i’ve got that also nestles snuggly in the Venn diagram sweet spot of requires no time, effort, or product, and doesn’t look like a lad’s cut.
