attention f1 fic writers

Please read very important. There is someone on Wattpad reposting fics that were first posted on Archive of Our Own. As far as I’m aware this was all done without consent. This person has credited all the work, HOWEVER anything posted on Wattpad now immediately belongs to them and they can do literally anything with it if they want to. Wattpad will also not protect your work from companies or anyone that wants your work or you sued. AO3 however does this which is why most fandoms stay on there. I need you to understand this very well because it can be dangerous.

Down below I will post the list of all the AO3 writers that were posted on there, a lot of people were posted multiple times there. I tried my very best and if I am right I went through everything they have posted now.

First of all what can you do? You can send them a personal message and if you need it I will post a generic text down below. Second you can report the story to Wattpad, and if you want to go full out you can post on their public profile board.

Please I ask you that if you see a friends name or someone you know that you message them to let them know. Don’t mass message just if you are close or they havent posted about it yet just check in. And check in with friend because this can feel very violating and can be emotional.

Generic message: Hey I saw you have posted fic on mine on here which I do not consent to. You have credited me but I still dont want my fic on wattpad because anything posted on here is immediately under ownership of wattpad and they can use it however they want and i do not consent to this. I ask you politely to remove it.
