Just a reminder that there's so much more that we still don't know about ourselves and that's what makes life so beautiful. Next month you might see a new shade of blue that will become your new favorite color or you could become obsessed with a new song that you thought you once hated. We change as life goes on. We grow as life changes. Our experiences shape us into beautiful people.

i’ve been rewatching sanders sides again after one came up on my youtube recommended. i watched sanders sides for the first time when i was around 11 or 12, and now i’m turning 17 in a few months so i have practically had sanders sides (and thomas’ channel as a whole) by my side as i’ve grown through my teenage years - i used to watch the episodes so many times that i know several of them by heart now, especially Dealing With Intrusive Thoughts (that one helped me to recognise i wasn’t a monster for some of the thoughts i had. i didn’t even know what they were before the episode, so it was extremely comforting to know i wasn’t alone.) my teenage years were not easy but the solace that the series and thomas himself provided me with is insane. i discovered thomas’ channel at the perfect time - i was just starting to figure out who i was and starting to figure out my gender and sexuality, and thomas helped me in accepting myself for that. coming from a pretty much non accepting family (except my mother and sister) i think i would’ve felt a lot worse about myself had i not found thomas’ channel when i did, and, while i’m no longer active in the community, the fandom also helped as it was the first lgbtq+ friendly space i had been a part of. aside from that it helped me to reignite my creative flame, and on top of that, as i go back to sanders sides now as i am older, some of the messages in the episodes resonate more than they did back when i first discovered it, and stick with me, hitting quite close to home. i almost cried watching the nostalgia episodes a few days ago. i think i will always go back to it when i feel down.
