Hydration is very important, especially during the hot summer days, so be sure to stay cool however you can and drink lots of water, especially with ice. If you don’t enjoy the taste of plain water, try adding some extra flavor with fruit or mint leaves. Of course, you can also use that water to make some tea. Iced tea with a bit of lemon is a wonderful drink for the summer.

It’s nice to go outside and get some fresh air. Lie down in the grass, feel wind and hear water around you, take some time to appreciate the things unique to this season. The outdoors can be a good place to relax, get comfortable, and release the tension in your body.

It’s okay to have times when you feel weak and vulnerable. You’ve been through a lot, and trying to stay strong at all times is difficult and exhausting. It’s not that the strong survive, it’s that the survivors are strong, and part of that strength is being able to admit that you’re hurting and that you need help or a break.
