You don’t have to personally agree that saying the ones who said they were just here to race didn’t do anything wrong. It’s a fact that they didn’t. I really understand your frustrations, and I understand that they did sound ignorant, but that doesn’t mean that they’re in the wrong for not choosing to say that he didn’t feel comfortable commenting. No one should have to outright say that they aren’t comfortable commenting. You either get what you want and you’re happy, you don’t get what you want and you’re unhappy, or someone chooses not to comment by saying something else and you’re still not happy. No one has to say the exact words that you want them to just for them to not be in the wrong. it’s your opinion that they did something wrong by choosing to say I just like racing cars instead of saying I don’t want to comment. That’s your personal problem.

For anyone tries to get angry at me and say I’m hating or whatever, I’m not. I am not happy with these drivers either, but just say that the people who said they just like racing cars are wrong for saying that, or lumping them in with the people who said it’s just “noise““drama” or a “distraction“ is wrong. Just because they didn’t even say the words you wanted to hear, does not mean they are in the wrong. Well, I admit, it is kind of ignorant sounding for them to say it the way they did, but if that’s how they deflect the situation, then that’s how they do it. Not everyone’s gonna be like “I’m sorry, but I don’t want to talk about it”

They are the ones who are neutral in the situation. They’re not for Horner and they’re not against him. They don’t want to speak about it. They have done nothing wrong, except for say words that sounded a bit ignorant. Yet, you’re treating them as if they said they support Horner. How about we focus on the ones who said they are on his side rather than the ones who said they didn’t want to talk about it by saying they were just there to race? I hope you understand what I’m trying to say because whatever I say tends to come out router and not how I expect it to be. I tried to revise what I say, but it’s sometimes it still comes out like I’m being rude or something.

I agree with you guys. They definitely shouldn’t have said it was a noise, distraction, or drama, but the ones who said they were only focusing on racing didn’t do anything wrong. You have to understand that not everybody wants to answer that question. So if they said they are only focusing on racing, that’s fine. What I can’t excuse are the ones who said it was just drama or a distraction or noise or whatever. You don’t have to speak up, but if you aren’t gonna say anything and defensive with that woman, don’t say anything at all is my current mindset also, don’t know why you guys are really surprised. For real one has always been rooted in misogyny and racism

No wonder why Lewis is always the only one showing consistent support for F1 Academy also. None of these other folks seem to care about anything but their own ‘racing careers’ I guess

Right so I saw something about f1 not being safe for girls/women - I have to agree. Even though it breaks my heart since Ive been in motorsport since I was 4 .I won't leave the sport as I have connections and hopefully will work in that area of journalism.

My family have never trusted Lewis Hamilton - like ever , I thought what he said was wrong fully . We as women should be takin seriously in this sport ( just like Wags , mother's , sisters etc if the driver ) I honestly believe just like what they did with the whole protest with ' your not alone ' that should also be that women should be aloud into the races , to the teams and feel comfortable just like men are .

honestly idk why i bother with f1, like with the allegations and the eay most drivers go about it is fucking diagusting. the way lewis is the only one to say that it needs to be cleared etc is alarming, but at the end of the day most of them are rich white privileged men. and have grown up that way. it really makes me want to take a step back from the sport with they way the whole situation has been handled. this shows that f1 is not and never will be safe for women.
