This week's @schittscreekdrabbleblog word prompt was "courage." Here's my fill:
---
David had really never thought of himself as a man of courage. After coming to Schitts Creek, he'd realized he'd led a luxurious life few had the chance to experience. But Patrick insisted he was brave. Opening the Apothecary. Being vulnerable and honest in relationships. Spending his youth looking after his sister. David wasn't sure he agreed. But hearing those words from Patrick's lips, the same lips that whispered words of love and devotion to him, the same lips that pressed love into his skin, he was inclined to believe in what Patrick saw. Perhaps he was a courageous man.

My fill for this week's @heartstopperdrabbleblog prompt, "silver."
---
"This feels weird."
"What? What feels weird?"
Charlie lifted his left hand, indicating the silver band. "This. It feels weird."
"Good weird? Or bad weird?"
"Amazing weird. Like I never want to take it off weird."
Nick giggled, pulling Charlie into his side. "Me, too."
"Do you think we'll get to that point where it feels weirder to not have it on than to wear it?"
Kissing the tip of his nose, Nick said, "Maybe if we give it longer than a day."
Charlie giggled. "Okay. Now, I'm being weird."
"I think it's cute. I love you."
"Love you, too."

I loved this week's @galladrabbles prompt, "I am not from here," and I finally found some time to write it!
---
Mickey swallowed hard. "I... I can't stay." He couldn't look Ian in the eye. It was too painful.
"Why? Where do you have to go?"
"I am not from here. I... I don't belong."
"Mick..." Ian grabbed his arm, forced him to look at him. "Stay. Please. Just because you aren't from here doesn't mean you don't belong here. With me. In my heart."
Flashes of their summer romance played behind Mickey's misty eyes, images of sunshine, red hair, cool breezes, and freckled skin. And though he couldn't speak, too choked by strong emotion, he nodded, falling into Ian's embrace.

"Stain" was the word of the week for @heartstopperdrabbleblog.
---
"Ugh!" Frustration came from the bathroom.
"What's wrong?" Charlie asked, sticking his head into the room.
"I got a stain at lunch today! And this is one of my favorite shirts!"
Charlie shrugged. "Take it off. I'll toss it into the wash."
"Then what will I wear?"
"I'll give you a blanket if you're cold. Or you can wear nothing. I don't mind."
Nick peeled off his shirt and handed it to Charlie, pausing to kiss him. "You would prefer if I wore no shirt, wouldn't you?"
Charlie looked him up and down before walking away, calling back, "I do."

This week's @schittscreekdrabbleblog word was "lamp."
---
"Patrick, turn it off!"
"I need to be able to see, David."
"Just...do it in the dark!"
"You want me to get dressed in the dark? I can't even see my socks!"
"But I can't hide in bed with the lamp on."
"The curtain is closed, David."
"Emphasis on the word 'hide.'"
"If it's dark, I can't see your face."
"That's sort of the point?"
"You have a handsome face, though, David."
"Well, then why don't you just come back to bed? You can see it perfectly well from up close."
"Fine. I guess I will." Flop. "Oh, hi, David."

I'm finally back from holiday vacation, and I managed to write a fill for this week's @galladrabbles prompt word, heat.
---
Mickey was too close. He was too close and yet not close enough. It was a cool night, and they were pressed against one another, sharing heat beneath the blankets on the bed. Mickey was breathing deeply, and his breath against the back of Ian's neck was making him squirm.
"You alright, Red?" Mickey asked, the hand that had been resting on Ian's hip moving, sliding lower. He knew.
In response, Ian turned in his arms, shifting his cool shoulder into the warmth of Mickey's chest, and closed his eyes as Mickey's mouth covered his entirely, stealing his breath away.

My fill for the @schittscreekdrabbleblog prompt words remind and sled.
---
"Remind me what we're doing again."
Patrick turned, putting his hands on David's shoulders. He smiled at the wild expression on David's face, his arms thrown wide. "We're making holiday cards."
"And what's that?" He pointed to one.
"A sled."
"Are you sure?"
"Entirely."
"Are they all going to have them?"
"No. I'm drawing a tree on this one."
"Oh. Do I have to do this?"
"Would you rather address and stamp all of them?"
"No..."
"Then draw something, David."
"Fine. But I'm doing something easy. Like Christmas balls."
Patrick snorted, and David looked offended before bursting into giggles himself.

My late-Sunday fill for @heartstopperdrabbleblog. Innocent and jacket were the prompt words.
---
Nick gasped when he felt a batch of Cole snow hit his back, a bit sliding down his neck. He turned, fixing Charlie with a look. His eyes were innocent, his hands tucked firmly in the pockets of his jacket. "Was that you?"
Charlie shook his head.
"Uh-huh..." He turned back around, and a few moments later, he felt another one. Not waiting this time, he turned and charged Charlie, knocking him down gently. He kissed his lips, rubbing their noses together as they giggled.
"Stop making me cold," he said finally.
Charlie just smiled. "I can warm you up."

I'm suuuuuuuper late today. I have a bunch of holiday stuff coming up that I'm prepping for. Here's my fill for the @galladrabbles prompt word spoiled.
---
"You're spoiled."
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yes, you are."
"No, Daddy."
"Uh-huh. Then how come Tato is snuggling with you in our bed when you're supposed to be in your bed."
"Acuz 'm scareded."
"Ohhhhh... I see. And Tato can't stand it. Can he?"
Their son shook his head.
Mickey peeked over their son's back at his husband. "I think Daddy has a stick up his a—butt because he's jealous."
Ian grinned. "Tato's just lonely."
Mickey glared, eyebrows raised. "Shut up. We can snuggle if we want to."
"Well, can I join?" Ian asked.
His two boys responded by opening their arms.

My fill for the @schittscreekdrabbleblog prompts "echo" and "cozy."
---
“Patrick?”
“What?”
David heard Patrick’s voice echo down the hallway. “Come here!”
“What do you need, David?”
“Can you bring me a drink?”
“Can’t you get it yourself?”
“But I’m all cozy back here. And besides that, I’m sick!” For good measure, he coughed.
There was a pause. Then, “What do you want?”
“Some peppermint tea?”
“I’ll be right there.”
True to his word, a few minutes later, Patrick came back with a steaming mug, setting it down on David’s nightstand. “Anything else I can do?”
“Stay with me?”
Patrick smiled. “Okay, David.” He climbed in beside him, snuggling in.

This is my fill for the @heartstopperdrabbleblog prompts "neighbor" and "evergreen." I was influenced by this country song from the 90s.
---
It was something they’d never forget, meeting up beneath the pines, saying nothing but speaking with their eyes, putting everything into the presses of their lips together. Charlie had never imagined that he’d find himself with his hand against a freckled cheek, being held in the strong arms of Nick Nelson. He’d watched him for years, playing in his backyard with his dog, but it wasn’t until recently he’d had the guts to tell him how he felt. Now, they didn’t need words, silently meeting up beneath the evergreen trees to kiss, slowly falling in love with the neighbor boy.

It's Sunday, which means I've finally found the time to write a drabble or three. Here's my contribution for this week's @galladrabbles prompt word, universe.
---
Ian was an angel when he slept. That was never something Mickey would share, but he felt it, the smattering of freckles across Ian’s face like a universe of stars. Mickey had memorized every inch of him, and still, he liked to look.
“What are you staring at?” Ian asked, eyes still shut.
Mickey shook his head. Ian always knew. “You.”
“Well, quit being weird and go start the coffee pot if you’re awake.”
“You like it.”
“I like my caffeine.” Ian hooked his arm around Mickey’s waist and pulled him over on top of him.
“Addict.”
Ian kissed him.

Here's my fill for the @schittscreekdrabbleblog prompt word, "snuggle."
---
David found that waking up with Patrick was like magic. He was warm, snuggled into David’s side, and as David stretched, he moved a little, letting out a soft, adorable grunt.
Then David rolled onto his side and opened his arms, and Patrick burrowed into David’s chest happily, never opening his eyes.
And they spent a beautiful few minutes wrapped up together before Patrick woke, blinking at him with pure love in his eyes, and whispered, “Good morning, David,” in a quiet voice that made David’s heart melt.
“Good morning, Patrick.” Yes. Waking up with Patrick was certainly like magic.

This week's @heartstopperdrabbleblog prompt word was "galaxy." I took a very soft approach to this week's word.
---
It was funny, that feeling that ran through him when he closed his eyes and thought about kissing Nick. It was like electricity that blossomed and sparked, branching out through his entire body. And behind his eyes, colors and stars whirled in their own beautiful galaxy, a replica of the swirls that had erupted in his mind the first time their lips had met. He wanted to hold onto that feeling forever.
And it helped when he heard Nick whisper his name, “Charlie,” so softly in his ear, then bend and kiss him, the electricity and stars exploding once again.

Here's my drabble for this week's @galladrabbles prompt word, collide.
---
“Where’re you going?” Ian’s voice was husky.
“Can’t sleep,” Mickey said. “Going for a walk.”
“Stay with me.” It wasn’t a question. Mickey knew if he tried to leave, he’d be followed.
“Don’t know why I can’t go for a walk,” he mumbled, crawling over Ian to lay down again.
“Because I know where you’ll walk. To the South Side. And we know what happens in the dark on the South Side. Stay with me.”
“And do what?”
Ian didn’t answer. Instead, Mickey felt their mouths collide, the beginning of an option that was immediately better than a moonlit walk.

My late night contribution to the @schittscreekdrabbleblog prompt of the week, "wedding."
---
“Three months. I couldn’t have done it,” Patrick whispered into the early morning light. “Couldn’t have waited three more months.”
“No. Not once we decided we didn’t want the huge wedding. It seemed perfect in my binders, but it just wasn’t us.”
“Do you regret it?”
“Sneaking away to a tiny town no one’s heard of, getting married by the mayor, and spending the night in a run-down hotel with mirrors on the ceiling? Never.”
Patrick could hear his smirk. “Maybe we should stay,” he suggested.
“Where are we?”
“I think the sign on the way in said Schitts Creek.”

Here's my last-minute fill for the @heartstopperdrabbleblog prompt, "pillow."
---
Nick shifted, rolling to see Charlie better.
His dark curls pressed against his pillow, one hand above his head.
Nick thought back to Charlie standing at the base of his parents’ stairs, wrapped in a blanket. “You look so cuddly like that,” he’d said then hugged him tight. He really wanted to do that again right now but didn’t want to wake Charlie.
Instead, he settled for pressing a gentle kiss to Charlie’s forehead. And though he stirred for a second, Charlie didn’t wake. Nick lay back down against his own pillow, contented, and tried to go back to sleep.
