Join us for the Diagonal Slip Stitch Class held on Tuesday, May 8th and Tuesday, May 15th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. In this two-session class, Wendy will be teaching the slip stitch technique developed by Barry Klein for use in a shawl, knit on the diagonal using the new Fleur from Trendsetter along with Primavera from Lana Grossa. We are off to a good start with our Local Yarn Store Day with our free weaving class with the @trendsetteryarns kit using @djweaves weaving pattern, Holika Woven Scarf. #lysday #sheepthrillsfl (at Sheep Thrills Yarn Store)

We are having our Double Heddle Weaving Class on Saturday, April 28th from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, April 29th from 10:00 am to 4 pm. Using Deborah Jarchow's method, we will work with students who have some experience with the rigid heddle and want to move on the the next level. Students will warp the looms and learn how to set up and thread both heddles to enable the double heddle weaving. Then they will weave cloth at double the sett of the heddle used and create various beautiful patterns that the extra heddle makes possible. They will learn how to create 2 layers of cloth, each a different color, learn how to make pockets or tubes in the woven cloth and finally, they will create cloth that is twice as wide as their loom.
