Second story I sold is in this anthology. :D It's about a policeman on a journey to supposed safety with his toddler son while being pursued by a werewolf that killed his wife.
The first story that I sold will be in an anthology coming out soon! That one... is about a... werewolf running from her Hunter family.
Hollywood has no concept of what 5th century Romans looked like. If I'm watching a movie about the final days of the Western Roman Empire, I should be seeing zero togas. It's like if you made a movie about the Trump administration, you wouldn't have people dressed like the founding fathers. That's how wrong it is.
This is what 5th century Romans looked like:
I think the problem is that pop culture has this theme park version of history that treats time periods like distinct worlds with no fluidity between them. In Roman Times, people dressed like this vs Medieval Times when people dressed like that. But that is obviously not how time works. Again, the end of the Western Roman Empire was the beginning of medieval Europe, and it already looked like it.
The notable exception was the Franks, who apparently really did dress like that:
There really is an exception to everything, and it's usually the French.

Only peace.Lexx stood on the rocks, the salty breeze coming off the waters stirring his wing feathers. He let them hang, catching the air. If he wanted, he could stretch his wings and fly into the golden beyond. It…
Welp, that didn’t work out right. I had computer problems and errands and a short story I had to fix and send back to the anthology. I have a nice little cat story in a charity anthology to be released in February of next year. 😀
I’ll try to get Vincent and Filaire done tomorrow. – Tiff
I’m pacing myself and able to concentrate right now. I’m actually clearer than I’ve been for months. I don’t believe that’s all the chocolates doing. I may have gotten sick again at some point and not even noticed.
I’ve got all of the next chapter of Vincent and Filaire laid out, lettered, and will print it out today. I have Alien Dice’s next chapter laid out and will get it lettered by tomorrow…
