Tbh 06 Silver and IDW Silver exist in such different contexts that I feel like it's hard to directly compare them to see which one is "better". 06 Silver had never been to the past before, had presumably only interacted with one other person in his entire life before Mephiles showed up, and is very determined in his goal to the point of it kind of clouding his vision. IDW Silver has been traveling back to the past and interacting with others for a while, and has also already saved the future in multiple instances, so obviously he's less stressed and tunnel visioned when it comes to doing what he needs to do to prevent his time period from being ruined since he now knows he can rely on others for help. Because he's less stressed and more familiar with everyone, he's also learned to relax, and just enjoy the smaller things in life. If you expect IDW Silver to be like 06 Silver, then you're going to be disappointed. I don't say that because I think IDW Silver is a bad portrayal, but because it's showing him off in a different context. He's not meant to be 06 Silver, he's meant to be a version of him who's been saving the future for a while now, and has allowed himself to become more open and laid back. If you think that Silver would develop differently after he becomes more familiar with everyone in the past and has saved the future multiple times, even though I would personally disagree, I would still think that's a more valid criticism of IDW Silver. They're both two sides of the same coin, not separate coins entirely, which is why I believe that it's not super fair to say that one is definitively the more true version of Silver

(Silver thoughts I have nowhere else to put) 06 Silver is like. A complete meal. He's got a backstory, develops relationships, meets people, and has some of that sweet sweet angst and conflict to play around with. He's also one of the very few Silvers with a well-defined past and future.

The problem is that 06 is kinda hard to consume in general, and there's no nice easy way to get that complete meal. It's like it was left in the fridge, and you're not sure how to heat it up right, so at best it's still gonna be kinda wonky.

In comparison, IDW feels less complete, but much fresher, and oh so sweet. There's more, and it keeps coming, and he's put in many situations.

anyways I voted for IDW but best of luck to all the 06'ers out there!
