John from Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (GNG) / Ginga Densetsu Weed (GDW) I love John, he's such a great character. Him and Jerome are probably my favorite Ginga dogs as of now lol. 

One thing that kinda bugged me is that GNG and GDW anime have two different designs for him, so I based him mostly off of GDW with a hint of manga.

@sketch-shepherd and @skekteksfurby wanted to see my interpretation of Kurojaki’s “beloved” son Tesshin, so I took some time out to speedpaint The Babie.

In the rewrite he’s stated as being a “grey brindle merle”, i.e. his dad but desaturated. There is some very sloppy merle in there, but I smell a retcon coming since I’ve been toying with the idea of the little guy being a tweed merle (hence the brown patches) with some subtle brindle mixed in. Idk if “tweed brindle merle” is an actual color, but go away its cool shut up

also hey how come we never talk about how tesshin was gin’s heir before that little blue bleeding heart came along

@thedogyeller came up with a pretty neat AU idea where Kaibutsu is instead a good guy and creates his own group of escaped lab animals. Not just dogs but also other typically experimented lab animals like monkeys, rabbits, mice, and rats (the latter two were too small to draw in this picture)

If you’re wondering why Kaibutsu looks so much smaller here than usual it’s because I based him off his size in the manga where he’s only a little bit bigger than Ken. It’d also be easier for him to stay hidden from humans when he’s not the size of Godzilla lol

I personally still like the fact that I actually colored in a blurry photo of my sketch for this instead of a clean scan because it kinda looks like an animation cel.
