Well, he has, but who can blame him? Manchester born and bred, not his fuckin' fault there's pigeons in his head and a screwdriver in his hand, or a kitchen knife. What'd you mean he forgot that in that poor bastard from last week? The one he left scattered about in a moor?

A bloody target if there ever was one. All alone and oblivious to danger, to the fact that a life-changing decision was coming up. In a way, he felt bad. Well, not really, it’s been months in the making and at this point, there wasn’t anything he didn’t know. A pity, that, what they would chat about over a cuppa then, he had no bleedin’ clue.

“‘Scuse me, luv,” Tobias smiled, just a tad too wide as he held up a pack of smokes. Bugger’s empty, of course, Tobias didn’t smoke. And he already knew what the answer to his question would be, ain’t a bloody idiot, keep up. “You’ve a light or summat?”

For three years, Vessel has been forced to endure the absolute torture of working with the band’s photographer. Oil and water don’t mix and everybody and their mother knows the two don’t get along. And when II suggests that it might be something other than animosity?

Ha! Don’t make him laugh. Vessel would rather get a root canal for the shits and giggles. Fancy the photographer? That’s the dumbest thing he has ever heard. Right?

A vibration came from his phone beside his keyboard, the screen lighting up with an incoming text from a number he didn’t immediately recognise at first glance.

“Hmm,” he mumbled, reaching for the device with a furrowed brow. It didn’t look like the initial message was meant for him to begin with. Out of sheer politeness, his fingers flew across the glass screen, typing out a reply and finishing with ‘send’.

Spizzy's Helper Bots!

Below is a collection of Helper Bots, made to make creative writing and creating characters easier and more accessible.

These aren’t necessarily only geared toward character creation, but they might also be useful in roleplays/chatting, or any creative writing project. Or they can just be used if inspiration is hard to come by.

Note that I have left the settings open on the Helper Bots, so anyone can see how Helper Bots are created. And, of course, it’s all dialogue examples.

Should problems arise with these, then edit and wipe the greeting, replacing the text with nothing but three spaces (“   ”). And feel free to reach out to me with feedback/issues.

WRITER BOTS

Dialogue Example Maker Give it a brief description of a character, an event, or a scene, and it will generate a short piece of text that could be used as a dialogue example, or at least it might be helpful to get you started. It can be a helpful tool for beginners, or just to get the creativity started. In order to help the AI, and yourself, try to keep the prompt concise. If the prompt is too long or has too much information, stuff will get missed. And remember to remove the greeting.

The Rewriter This one’s function is simply to rewrite/rephrase whatever text it is given.  It can help rewrite and paraphrase short pieces of text, find repeated words and replace them with synonyms, and shorten or extend text. It can also improve readability. Simply provide it with the text you want to be rewritten, along with a simple instruction, and it will do the rest. Remember to keep the AI’s message limit in mind, don’t send it more than 600 characters at the time of writing, to avoid losing text.

Pseudocode Translator Have you fallen for the trick that is templates? That’s where this one can help! In an attempt to help combat the use of pseudocode and tags, I have made this translator of sorts. What it does is take the “code” it is given and write it into plaintext. This text can then be used as is, or put into one of the other Helper Bots. Hopefully, this will help those of you who have been left with less-than-ideal character performance due to the use of a template.

Appearance Writer It can be tricky to write a character description that is more than “and her hair is blonde”, especially within the world of Character AI where every word matters. This one can help you with writing about a character's physical appearance. Give it a short description of your character’s physical appearance and let the Appearance Writer take it from there. This one can also read your persona.

Emo Demo Bot Learning how to showcase emotions in creative writing is a learning curve, which can be a hassle with Character AI where characters depend on good dialogue examples in the definition. This is why I created the Emo Demo Bot. You can ask this what a certain emotion can look like/how to describe an emotion. It is also capable of writing an emotional scene, and it can also take in text and rewrite it to be more emotional.

Vessel | Wembley [masc!user]

Pressing down on the keys, Blood Sport began and the room erupted, so loud it pierced through his in-ears. Hell, he couldn’t stop crying as he sang, gasping for air after every sentence. It wasn't perfect, hell, it wasn't even close. But with each strained note, each ragged scream, a fragment of his self-aimed anger turned to fierce, burning gratitude.

With a choked-up “you say it doesn’t matter” leaving his lips, the song was over. Vessel felt forced to fall to his knees in damn-near reverence, like a sinner praying for forgiveness. Cleansed and cathartic.

I got a request a few weeks ago for a Vessel that opens up with Wembley and Blood Sport, so that's what I did. The person requesting also mentioned seeking more characters tailored to users using he/him pronouns. So that's what this is. The definition is tied to a he/him user. I am working on they/them and she/her as well.

C.AI Guide Announcement!

Out of a desperate need to offer an accessible and accurate character.ai guide, I have decided to create one, right here on tumblr.

So I'd like to present my guide, named after everybody's favourite "Can I Ask You A Question?".

With the forum slowly dying, and the official C.AI guidebook is just... bad, the best and most accurate guide is written by the fantastic Vishanka over on the subreddit r/CharacterAI_Guides. Vishanka is also responsible for writing the official guide on the C.AI discord.

Problem is that users now either find bad and inaccurate information in the official guidebook, the official subreddit is filled with terrible templates, and if someone doesn't use reddit at all, they might not find Vishanka's subreddit. That leaves Discord, which not everybody uses.

So I hope I might be able to make information for accessible for users.

I hope to provide guides on not only the C.AI basics, but also guides on how to create specific characters, like RPGs, Helpers, and more. Along with a ton of examples, because they were the ones that helped me when I started.

The guide is still very much a work in progress but it'll get there!

Nippy wafts pecked and nibbled on his cheeks as Harvey, wrapped in his brown coat and scarf, made the short walk down to the museum in hopes that Gunther had received the book he had requested the previous week.

Lost in thought, Sebastian almost missed the figure approaching the house he had just left. As the passerby trudged by him, Sebastian debated not giving a damn. But then his casual cruelty crumbled. “Hey!” Sebastian called out, pausing in his tracks and turning around. “It’s Tuesday, shop’s closed. Mom’s off to aerobics.”

The setting sun mocked him as he walked, the disappearing rays casting shadows longer than his list of failures. Which was long. "Back again, Captain?" the barkeep drawled, wiping a mug with a stained rag. “Aye,” Edward nodded, leaning against the bar as he took stock of the fine establishment. Turning back to the barkeep, Edward grinned, the flickering candlelight revealing a hint of mischief in his eyes. "More trouble than a lass in a temper, I reckon."

Haytham Kenway | Trailed

It was glaringly evident to Haytham that he was being trailed, an observation made with a mix of admiration and amusement. Lesser individuals might have surrendered the pursuit long ago, yet his pursuer endured, displaying a commendable level of skill. Had Haytham been obtuse, he might not have noticed it, but Haytham was no fool. And he knew when he was being followed and had been for at least an hour. But for all their talent, Haytham was better.

IV "BAR VERSION" CHANGED.

I will be damned if I don't grab every chance I get to open up Canva and make a fun little cover.

In short, I've completely rewritten IV, specifically, the one that was previously known as "Bar" - If you have no clue what I'm on about, don't worry about it! :D

Anyway, this guy got a fun little makeover - brand new description, definition, and greeting. I feared the previous version was a bit hard to talk to. If anyone misses the old greeting, let me know.

There's a smell of rain in the air and a flickering streetlamp as IV plops down on a bench by the car park that night, feeling like he is both restless and drained at the same time.

Lost in his thoughts, IV was startled by the sound of footsteps on the pavement and he looked towards the approaching figure.
