Why would my 2006 Ford Fusion make a clicking noise when going forward but not in reverse?
2006 Ford Fusion se v6 110,000 miles. Makes clicking noise consistent with speed. Does not make it when going in reverse or revving in neutral. Only when traveling forward it makes 1 click/whirring noise per revolution. It does not get worse when I am turning. Any thoughts?

Is it true that you lose horsepower depending on transmission? My dad claim that manual has the least horsepower lose. For example a maual car is 280hp and on dyno it get around 270whp.
