also, have you ever seen ramshorn snails? They’re really cool, they come in blue and pink and purple and orange and can have spots. They’re teeny but gorgeous, I have them in my fish tank (they’re aquatic but also have lungs and go up to the surface to breathe)
aquatic snails are so cool. Nerites get so Many different patterns and colours across all the species and they’re pretty interesting (they’re still figuring out how to raise them in captivity, with the wild ones in northern Australia the adults will find brackish water to lay their eggs, then once the babies hatch they are swept out to sea by the current and grow up out there. Then they slowly move inland to freshwater).
And mystery snails have a snorkel for breathing. It gets impressively long on some of them.
Ive seen nerites (in images) before but I've never heard of the ramshorn snail!
left is ramshorn, right is nerite,
Also I'm used to mystery snails being called "horned-apple snails" especially since a mystery snail sounds like something a kids channel would unbox
