i want to share with you some of my favourite graffiti from Pompeii
“Weep, you girls. My penis has given you up. Now it penetrates men’s behinds. Goodbye, wondrous femininity!“
“Amplicatus, I know that Icarus is buggering you. Salvius wrote this.“
“We two dear men, friends forever, were here. If you want to know our names, they are Gaius and Aulus.“
“Floronius, privileged soldier of the 7th legion, was here. The women did not know of his presence. Only six women came to know, too few for such a stallion.“
“On April 19th, I made bread.“
“ I have buggered men.“
“If anyone does not believe in Venus, they should gaze at my girlfriend.“
“It took 640 paces to walk back and forth between here and there ten times.“
“Chie, I hope your hemorrhoids rub together so much that they hurt worse than when they every have before!“
“Epaphra is not good at ball games.”
“Two friends were here.  While they were, they had bad service in every way from a guy named Epaphroditus.  They threw him out and spent 105 and half sestertii most agreeably on whores.“
“Secundus likes to screw boys.“

Do u have any possession trope ramblings (that aren’t linked in your pinned) that you would like to share. Looking up at you with my big autistic eyes
Actually i don't have anything comprehensible because most of my ramblings are unhinged discord messages to my friends in the context of specific characters from strange media let me see if i can find things that are broad enough to be applicable anywhere though

something i think works well in both certain types of comedy and certain types of horror is having characters constantly walk the line between being confused by their circumstances and seemingly understanding, going along with them unquestioningly
like having characters briefly begin to acknowledge their surroundings as strange before continuing to participate regardless (or participating while acknowledging it as strange), or establishing the narrating character like they're speaking impromptu, simply reacting live to the events unfolding in front of them before breaking that establishment by having them go into seemingly pre-planned monologues or poetic recitation before returning to blind reaction.
or the opposite, setting it up so they're recounting something that happened in the past but still having them react as if they didn't already know what was going to happen like it wasn't already set in stone
in comedy it's usually the juxtaposition that becomes funny but in horror i think it adds a sort of uncertainty that can become unsettling. or if it's not unsettling i at the very least find it very very interesting, time-limited or faltering self awareness. i think knowing and not knowing is very uhhhh compelling
