In Dragon Age's setting, mages are always born and not made. Demons, so far, don't seem able to turn people into mages, and they mostly "grant" the wishes in their temptations by just deluding the individual they deal with via hypnosis, mind control, etc while simply possessing the poor victim. Elves are no more likely to be mages. Their immortal ancestors were always mages, but mortal elves are very different beings because the immortal ones are (implied to be) embodied spirits who stepped over before the Veil was drawn over the Fade. At least magic can awaken in an individual at any point in life, even if it is usually childhood.

There's some indication that non-mages can make use of blood magic through somewhat indirect means, but that's about it.

I could see someone becoming a mage through blood magic, probably by sacrificing another mage to more or less take their power or the special, inborn quality that allows them to interact with the Fade (because that's what allows them to manipulate reality via magic in the first place). This might or might not need a 3rd party mage to conduct the ritual/spell. It wouldn't be out of character for ancient Tevinter magisters to have once possessed the knowledge to do just that sort of dark thing.

Moira: She likes to thrift in silence, she loves dressing up so she will even buy stuff blindly just to see how she can work them out back home c: When she was not a vampire she looooved to hike

Thom: He loves clubbing so much it's a joke. The more insane the bass the better. No functioning ears after da club

🍓Does your OC have any particular scents they like? Or hate?

Moira: She likes the smell of diesel 😂 She's one of those people who start sniffing in bliss when filling up their car. She hates perfumes because she has bitten soapy tasting necks due to them, so she always associates perfumes with oddly tasting blood.

Thom: He loves the smell of blood so much more than a normal vampire, he is a little emm special. It's a problem. He also likes flowers, he will stop and sniff them when walking in a residential area with posh fronts. He hates the smell of rot coming from the undead, he gags big time 😔

Don't think I've ever drawn her without her choker 😂

She's more awkward than she is cool. She 'umm's a lot and her sentences make no sense sometimes. But she is still my charming babygirl

She is giggly and awkward and she looks like a pushover but once one tries to do so she will absolutely turn hostile and cuss out. (But if you got enough charisma you can definitely push her over :V)

🥃: If your OC was in this universe, what would be their favourite show/book/band/social media platform?

I've said before that she would LOVE Seinfeld, maybe even Peep show since I animated a lot of bits for her using their audio, I don't read a lot of books to know 😔, for bands she would love Gorillaz and SOAD, and she would totally rot on tiktok 😂

🍷: What's one of your OC's pet peeves concerning food?

Diana has difficulties bulking up due to her being a vanguard and using up way too many calories on using her biotics. So when she's on missions she always opts for caloric/protein dense shakes, the grey sludge is her sustenance. And chicken. So much chicken. So yeah she doesn't want to eat sugary stuffs, she's very particular about her diet.

🍕: How does an OC spend a lazy day?

Assuming lazy means she isn't following her routine of keeping her body and mind sharp... She loves watching Takeshi's castle with a bucket of corn puffs 😭 And be like 'haha I can do that'. She would also write on her diary a lot which is very articulate, date on top, location, log of activities of the day, feelings 😂

My vamps I will sometimes split into 2 categories, VTMB and my own story, since it's not a continuation but a parallel.

🍋: What is your OC's most painful memory?

VTMB: Ming Xiao absolutely girlboss manipulated her, she was feeding her with opium and fake promises of accepting her in her family, which Moira totally believed. She needed a harsh wakeup call by Jack to snap out of it, otherwise she would have given the sarcophagus to her 😂 It hurt her really bad seeing herself getting manipulated like that, daark places.

HTBAV: A vampire hunter kidnapped and tortured her best friend/adoptive sister, and she had to find her and mercy kill her , as she had become a bloodthirsty monster. Julie to her was the epitome of a pure, harmless being, and seeing her getting screwed over like that really gave her perspective just how dark the vampire world can be.

🌽: How does this OC feel about acts of affection? What's their favourite act of affection, physical or emotional?

Moira had to build an emotional wall around her after getting screwed over by vampire society and lovers alike, Thom had to really fight for Moira's genuine affection. Before they were together, she was very dismissive, either by laughing or by downplaying his acts. She even made fun of him :V But it's really easy for her to give someone a hug or to touch their shoulder, poke them on the ribs, stuff like that. Sometimes she's awkward and her timing might be bad, but she will always try and say something to make someone giggle, most of the times by being self deprecating.

🍪: What is something that's sentimental to you OC?

It's not an object, but she misses the act of eating junk food. She cries when she sees a cheeseburger, freshly made or a half eaten one on the street floor 😔

I just logged into my gmail and I notice a lot of emails for commission requests with attachments go to the spam folder, and some are as early as September! I apologise a million times for not reaching out sooner. I will try and respond to all of them as soon as I can 🙏
