Trying to get Price to stop smoking because you’re worried about him. He only stops because of how worried you are and actually does well for the first couple days (he’s gaslighting himself)…until almost a week passes.

He’s so stressed out and going through withdrawals that he practically threatens the boys to give him a cigarette.

“All of your asses will be strung up with your fucking mics if no one gives me one.”

Safe to say that Price still smokes, the boys beg you to try to not do that again and you just try not to let your anxieties get the better of you.

"You cold?"

In the time you've known Simon he's never asked you how you felt. You assume he never gave your comfort much thought. He informed you recently it was because he didn't want to treat you differently than the men around you.

That dynamic changed last night when you fell into bed together.

"A little," you concede.

"Come 'ere." He drags you into the shelter of his warm body, his spot on the mattress already noticeably toastier than yours.

"So what happens now?"

He takes a moment to consider your question, or perhaps he already has and he's drawing a blank the way you are.

"We'll get breakfast, for starters..."

As you nod in acknowledgement, his nose bumps the back of your head. Rather than withdrawing, he snuggles closer.

"...and then we'll figure out the rest."

"You're not worried this will get weird?" you muse out loud, bracing for him to say yes.

"No. We deserve some happiness. Don't think anyone would begrudge us that."

"Do you think they know?"

"Pretty sure they do. Gaz told me to look after ya before we left the pub. Not in a sexist way, but...he cares."

Tears stand in your eyes, but not for shame nor hurt. When he kisses your shoulder your emotions spill. You realize he must have felt the subtle shudder in your lungs as hugs you tighter.
