the tragic thing abt wolfwood and vash is honestly how preventable wolfwoods death in both versions could’ve been. wolfwood didn’t die because he was doomed by the narrative, he died because he tried to follow vashs philosophy of not killing and showing mercy and it came back to bite him. because vashs ideology is not something anyone human can follow. because vashs ideology is fundamentally flawed and vash knows this. im very tired of people acting like vash is a naive idealistic idiot because he knows his ideology isn’t the perfect solution but that is a conversation for another day. im sure vash feels so much guilt for wolfwoods death and the fact neither him or livio even refer to wolfwood by his name after his death because “when you are linked by something so strong in your hearts, it doesn’t need to be said anymore” literally tears me apart
