maybe it's cause she sees a different light in rafe. that all he wants is someone to love him, dark parts and all. how soft he can be when it's just the two of the away from prying eyes. he's not innocent or perfect by any means but he's perfect to her and that's all that mattered to juniper. the reaction to her touch has her smiling. it really was a power trip to have someone like rafe cameron at your mercy.

junie did say they were going to talk. it felt easier to talk on the water, just the two of them. it was calming and peaceful. plus, the way he reacted early signaled that the thought she could easily walk away sat in his mind.
