For those who don't know, Rafah Crossing is closed. Meaning Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are technically not allowed to go into Egypt through Rafah Crossing (with exceptions, like holding a foreign passport) so in order to evacuate, Palestinians need to bribe Egyptian border security officials. The standard price used to be about $5000 - 7000 per person but some Palestinians have been told to pay $10,000 per person just to cross the border, forget other expenses like food and boarding.

For a group of people who are enduring genocide and the complete destruction of their homes that money is impossible to raise without the help of fundraising. That and the collapse of the UNRWA is the reason you're seeing so many Gofundmes nowadays. The entire aid system is gone with the exception of local aid organisations that have limited reach.

So if you see a credible fundraiser, please at the very least share it so it can reach more people. This list by @el-shab-hussein is a good place to start.

Mohammed Abujamous is a 24 year old Palestinian living in Greece. As a parkour athlete, Mohammed was able to leave Gaza in 2022.

Today, Mohammed appeals to your kindness and compassion to help his family trapped in Gaza with no safe place to go.

The Egyptian company HALA has set a paywall of $5000 (USD) per person for those who are trying to escape the genocide, exploiting their suffering.

This is an impossible amount for Mohammed's family, who have to pay $105,000 (USD) to save the lives of 21 family members, 8 of whom are children. Together, we can give them a fighting chance. Together, we can ground ourselves in our humanity. To one day reach the end of our lives knowing we did something. For the future generations to know that we tried. That we cared enough.

I keep seeing him on my tiktok fyp, and even though his videos do get engagement he's very far from reaching his goal. I AM DOING A HUNGER STRIKE FOR GAZA

It has been almost 200 days of genocide in Gaza, and during this time Palestinians have been in the worst stage of starvation and famine. Children have begun dying from starvation and malnutrition, and more and more photos of Palestinian children are coming out where the child is nothing more than skin and bones.

Personally, I know I take the food I eat for granted every single day. I am no more deserving of a meal than the children of Gaza, so for that reason me and a few of my friends will be doing a minimum of FIVE day hunger strike in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Palestine.

We will be starting on 1 May, as to hunger strike safely there is preparation needed. I making this post now in case anyone wants to join me and will want to prepare. I am not doing a dry hunger strike, I will be having fluids and I also don’t believe I will be able to hunger strike safely for more than 15 days for health reasons.

Baby Adam update! Previously, I shared this video from Anas, Adam's uncle, of the little boy taking his first steps during the war. Yesterday, Anas shared that the family has started a Go Fund Me to help Adam, his mom, and his dad (Anas's brother) leave Gaza.
