SPN Rare Fic Friday
Welcome to SPN Rare Fic Friday!
What is it?
The goal of SPN Rare Fic Friday is to create content for relationship pairings that have less than 500 works on AO3. Visit our Rare Ship Spreadsheet to see the latest numbers we've gathered, or see if you can find a pairing that we haven't included! (The Orange and Green Labeled Pairings are fair game for Rare Fic Fridays.)
When is it?
Our Rare Fic Fridays in January are the 14th and 21st. This is a often-occuring event, so check out the calendar for even more Rare Fic Friday dates!
What are the prompts?
There are no prompts for Rare Fic Fridays - you get to create anything you want for the rare AO3 relationships.
How do I participate?
No sign ups are required! Post any and all rare fic fills on any Rare Fic Friday. Be sure to include #spnrareficfriday and tag us @spnrareships in your post. We will reblog everything we see, but if we haven't reblogged your work within 24 hours please send us an ask.

Welcome to the SPN Angels & Demons Weekend!
What is it?
A weekend to celebrate the Angel and Demon rare ships in Supernatural. Any rare ship relationship works for us, as long as at least one angel or demon is involved. (Except, of course, Destiel, which is not a rare ship unless you add a third to make a poly group.) Whether it is platonic, romantic, familial, or any other kind of relationship is up to you!

What are the prompts?
Friday, January 7 - Missing Scene / Episode Tag
Take this opportunity to fill in the empty spaces of episodes with your headcanons of what happened. Whether you have an idea of a scene in the middle of the episode or something that should have been added to the end, share with us your ideas! (Tag the episode number in your posts, too!)
Saturday, January 8 - Flangst
Flangst - the perfect balance of Fluff and Angst. Maybe it starts fluffy and gets angsty, or maybe we're angsty and a little fluff pulls us out of our bad mood. Let's be flangsty with our rare ships today!
Sunday, January 9 - Alternate Universe (AU)
Let's take those angels and/or demons to another dimension! Maybe Crowley is a grumpy coffee barista, or Anna owns a pet shop. The sky is the limit when you write AUs!

SPN Poly Bingo Blog Update
Hey Friends!
We have decided, after two rounds of lower participation, to retire the SPN Poly Bingo.
If you're upset, WAIT!
Even though the bingo isn't going to continue in this form, we are still going to be helping curate content for our favorite SPN Poly Relationships.
How, you ask?
First of all, please join our Discord! This is a shared server between many different rare ship challenges, and we'd love to have you there for discussion, link sharing, and shenanigans.
Secondly, we are merging with the SPN Rare Ship Bingo in January 2022 to begin a new kind of creation challenge over at @spnrareships. On that blog we will be hosting different celebration weeks, bingos, and events of all kinds throughout the year for different rare ships (both duo and poly).
Oh, and don't worry about losing us completely - this blog will stay as is so that the archive is here for you when you want to peruse it.
We hope that you will join us for our new future of SPN Poly Ships. This is not the end, this is just a new beginning!

Cas is standing in front of the wine row of their local liquor store. He knew what he wanted to buy until he got here. Now he’s not so sure. There’s so much to choose from and he’s not a wine person.
There’s one brand that he likes, especially their sweet red wine. There’s only one bottle left of it in the store, but that’s not going to be enough for 3 men. It would be enough to drink over dinner, but Cas is planning to move to the living room after eating to chat with their guest.
Dean is having his new boyfriend over. Cas hasn’t met the man, but he’s eager to get to know him. The way Dean talks about Benny, he seems like a sweet man. He’s also a wine enthusiast, which Cas is very much not. But he wants to leave a good impression on his husband’s new boyfriend, so he’s buying wine.
They’ve been polyamorous for a few years now. Neither of them is actively seeking out new partners, but when the opportunity is present, they’re open to other people. Their only rule is that they won’t bring anyone into their home until it’s serious.
The fact that Dean invited Benny over means he’s a special person to Dean. Cas is happy for him and he loves seeing his husband being so excited over a new partner, a new person Dean can enjoy life with. Cas hopes Benny has a similar taste in moves to Dean because Cas can’t be forced to watch one more Adam Sandler movie in his life.
Cas takes a deep breath as he’s trying to focus on the wine selection in front of him. Nervousness and excitement are bubbling inside him at the same time, which makes it hard to think about wine right now. He figures he can buy something else from the same brand.
He reaches for his favorite first, but the moment he lifts his arm up, someone grabs the exact bottle of wine he wants. He truly has no idea what else to choose if the only kind he likes is out. When the other man lifts it off of the shelf, his hand bumps into Cas’s arm.
