Stop buying from Muji.
Tumblr media
It’s being reported that Muji uses cotton produced by Uyghur Muslims in Chinese concentration and labor camps, specifically in Xinjiang. Obviously, the atrocities being done to the Uyghur Muslims are horrific, and a company profiting off of said atrocities is disgusting.
I know Muji is wildly popular on studyblr, but I’m asking you to think about real humans being forced into labor camps. As an average citizen, we only have two ways of imposing our power: by voting and by being deliberate with our money. Do not give Muji your money.
Do not support Muji. Do not support concentration camps. Do not support the violation of human rights. Stay aware, read the news, and be a critical consumer.

I don’t know if anyone else needs to hear this right now, but I need to hear it so i’m gonna say it.
you are not hopeless. nothing is set in stone for you. you are not destined to be anything other than great. we can fail and we can be upset, but failure doesn’t mean it’s the end. failure is a chance to change course and there are endless possibilities for you, but you have to believe that it’s not hopeless for you.

here is my advice of the day that i wish someone would have told me sooner
something is always better than nothing.
even if you procrastinated on that assignment and its late as hell - turning it in less than perfect for half credit is better than just not turning it in
if you cant brush your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes apiece and floss - brushing them once a day for 30 seconds is better than not doing any teeth care at all
can’t shower? just wash your face. even with just water. or wipes, if you cant even manage that. No spoons to wash dishes? just rinse them a little with water before you put them in the sink, so when you eventually can do them it will be a little bit easier
something. anything. no matter how small, it’s always better than nothing
your illness will tell you its hopeless. that theres no point in trying if you wont succeed. but in those moments, something is always a success. it is always valuable. and it is always worth doing.

Just a reminder in case your mind is playing tricks on you today:
You matter. You’re important. You’re loved. And your presence on this earth makes a difference whether you see it or not.

The more you're struggling, the kinder I need you to be to yourself. It's going to make it unbelievably harder and more painful for you if you're beating yourself up for what you can't do right now, or blaming and hating yourself for all the ways that your struggle is inconveniencing your life.

You don't ever need to prove your worth or your value to anyone else. Ever. No matter how they feel about you, your worth, your strength, the things you've survived, your beauty, your courage, what you bring to people's lives, those things remain unchanged.
Your worth cannot even be proven by anything you might be inclined to do to prove it. It is immeasurable. They either see that or they don't. Either way, you don't have time to waste or energy to spare to prove it to them. It exists whether or not they see it.

You survived another week in a very tough world, even though at times it felt like you wouldn’t, and I’m so proud of you.
