Surreal the number of litg fics that will, in a few days, be connected to canon that no longer exists. 1-3 going is so fucking mad to me, the game was fundamental to me getting through 2020 and the amount of friends I made through it. The continuous Hope slander is exhausting when the comparison being courted is more apt for someone like Lottie, who weaponises girl code and follows the bylines of internalised misogyny and shame to keep the girls in line in the hopes of finding a partner. She downright belittles MC on a Gary route but ofc the Hope hate is massively exaggerated and perpetuated when as a character she’s been made to apologise and has been downright removed from any of the post villa content? Like I don’t get it how many times of her being written to grovel/apologise does it have to take for it to sink in that she’s not this inherently bad horrible person?

Ivy is just like Hope but more annoying

Kefalonia, Greece, is Love Island’s new homestead. A sprawling blue and white Villa sprawls a patch of land adjacent to a craggy mountain view, gnarled trees covered in fairy lights twinkling by the entrance where patterned tiles lead to a pair of heaving double doors. Outside are flower beds, neatly pruned hedges that frame paths. There’s a homely, welcoming vibe to it rather than a party pad fit for a lads trip to Mallorca. In the early hours of the morning, town locals come in their pairs to clean the mess the inhabitants of the Villa had made the night before. They neaten up strewn loungers, fluff up throw pillows and brush away glittering debris to set a scene for the soon to be viewers. A buzzy radio plays Grecian Kitscherella, and Naomi and Winona hold court with staff in the kitchen. Winona’s Greek is surprisingly fluent and her English interpretation is determined and fast, eager to include Naomi in the conversation. There’s the odd moment of shiftiness where Naomi isn’t quite sure she’s saying the whole truth, bolstered by a tense exchange with a moustachioed man by the name of Mikelis. Winona will scrawl something down into her notebook with a dutiful nod, and then she’ll avert to Naomi.

“Mikelis says we’ve got to go up on the Roof Terrace, apparently there’s a surprise.” Winona says this with an emphatic wiggle of her eyebrows. Naomi chortles.

“Do you reckon we’ll need to get ready?” Naomi queries.

“Considering they got on our case for not having a full face on after the slime thing yesterday? Most likely.”

“They sure are setting a totally realistic standard, aren’t they?” Naomi groans with a roll of her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose.

A foray into the abbaverse and a shamelessly self indulgent fic that asks the question - what would happen if two OCs were to be in the same Villa? The lovely Naomi and the majority of the premise is based off of the fantastic Lay All Your Love On Me.

Too Hot to Handle, The Game, Season 1 Episode 5 Recap (Spoilers ahead!)

FINALLY, I'm able to get my thoughts together for this episode! 🥴 First of all, my app kept glitching out until just about the end of the date, but in a way I was grateful for the reset the first time around because I was able to admit to Theo that, I was nervous about possible heartbreak in the future, because there is a part of me that... is? was? 🥺 Because my line of logic was, "if half the cast kinda hurt MC's feelings early on with the mistrust/Justin thing, when's the other half gonna hurt us?"

Theo was thoughtful when I shared my honest worry, and he's had my back throughout the season so far, AND this episode just showed him doing more of the right thing, so I'm finding it easier to trust him (funny how that happened with the trust-building workshop going on too 🤣).

Also, he got big brownie points for saying this in the confessional + that he didn't regret anything we did in the suite (which I don't either! 😌🧡)

From his hidden spot behind the bedroom door, he couldn't see what was on the video. He had managed to make out the voices of some of the boys in the main villa, though, and going by the girls' expressions, whatever they were looking at had crushed them.

Without even realising it, he had his hands clenched into a fist at the sound of Levi's voice. When the video ended, his heart constricted as Milly's shining eyes landed on him.
