i love how garnet and pearl are just continuing to use the name of their infamous guerilla military organization while their current jobs are fighting lv4 rpg monsters and giving each other basket weaving seminars. and steven has no context for this and just thinks of "The Crystal Gems" as basically the name for his mom's side of the family. so he walks up to lapis and says "you should hang out with me and my treehouse friends, the Viet Cong!"

Rewatching SU to show my partner and it’s SO cool to do with new context for behaviors (like understanding at an even deeper level why Pearl is so distraught after learning about Rose keeping secrets from her in Rose’s Scabbard) it’s also really cool growing up with the show and now watching in a different developmental stage! So many interactions like in Winter Forecast with Steven and Connie watching the snow and Greg being able to show himself as a responsible parent are so sweet and mean so much now just from a life perspective. Can’t believe it’s been about 10 years since the show started.

This show is beautifully and intentionally made from the character interactions to the music choices. My love for the music, fusions, Steven and Connie, and lion has increased even more. I even gained more appreciation for Ronaldo LOL

i really think rose quartz is the voice of our times she was suicidal she was bisexual she was a libra she was fat she was horny all the time she was pink she went to war against herself she fumbles people who demand emotional intimacy from her she has a very loose grip on reality she loves everything and hates herself she somehow has mommy issues despite belonging to a species where mothers do not exist her boobs are self-made she was into soundcloud rappers she has committed identity theft and a hundred other war crimes she has several pet lions one of which is a zombie and she couldn’t break out of herself. peace and love on planet girl
