Self shippers whose f/os have canon love interests are so incredibly strong. It can be difficult, especially if you see fanart of them with their canon love interest a lot ... but we stick by our f/os despite that. And that takes a certain level of strength that I want to acknowledge.

It’s been said before but I think it should be reiterated that your f/o doesn’t think you’d look better if you were lighter. They don’t care if your hair isn’t perfectly straight, they don’t care it’s frizzy or ‘nappy’. They don’t think your accent sounds funny and they would make a genuine effort to correctly pronounce your name instead of settling for a nickname because it’s ‘easier’. Your f/o does not think the food you eat smells weird or sounds gross just because it’s a different kind of meat than they’re used to. Your f/o loves you and they love the parts that make you.

Pony Proposal-

Morbid Curiosity had no idea that Sunburst was going to propose. Especially since the ring Sunburst brought was an antique, unicorn horn wedding band. He just thought his antique loving boyfriend was excited to get his hooves on a new, old artifact! That was until Sunburst popped the question alongside popping open the little wooden box, “Will you marry me?”

It took Morb some time to process what had just happened, but once it struck, it struck. And he threw himself across the picnic blanket to envelope Sunburst in a big hug. Tears welled up in his eyes as he shouted ‘Yes!’ over and over between elated sobs, burying his face in the stallion’s neck.

Morbid Curiosity’s sniffles died down as he leaned back to look up at Sunburst, a smile beaming on his face as he watched the unicorn stallion wipe away his own tears. He held his right hoof out, his eyes following the ring box as it was magically placed onto his awaiting appendage with a soft ‘click!’

#this is a very intriguing question to me so much so that I almost don’t know how to answer?? lol #I think it depends on what their original setting is or if it’s a modern au (if applicable) #like for fire emblem f/os. if that was a modern setting I can see myself being a fire emblem character kf that universe lol. but otherwise #I’m probably from a novel? or like in animal crossing I’m probably from a tv show or something.
