Evenin' I hope your day has gone well~☆ Can I please get some newsies musical Sniper with prompt #5 “The thought of losing you scares me.” ? Thank you~☆ - Romeo

Meeting your parents was something that was going to have to happen eventually. So what better time than the holiday season? Sniper had been your lover for what had felt like your entire life, and while you’d never openly said this…you were absolutely positive he was the person you wanted to spend the entirety of your life with. That being said, your parents. 

You had been sent to the city at a young age with the goal of leading you to follow the life of sophistication. While the private tutor who trained you had provided you an education, your nights were spent in the lodging house far from the propriety your parents expected. And Sniper knew this. He knew he was far from what your parents wished you had snagged as a partner. And while he was ensured that you loved him, there was little comfort in the world that you could provide that they would feel the same.

“Why don’t we wait till next year? I’ll…I’ll search for a betta job and it’ll at least give me a fightin’ chance for ya…” his hands gripped the cap in his hands till his knuckles were white. 

“Love, you don’t ‘ave anything ta worry about, they’re gonna-”

“I’ve got everythin’ to worry about!” he tossed his hat to the side, turning away from you. Fingers threaded tightly into his hair, you witnessed his shoulders begin to quiver. You stood from your place on the bed as you, slowly reached out to trace your fingers across the tight muscles in his back. A soft sniff echoed through the silent room, as he hung his head.

“The thought of losing you scares me…” admitting in a soft voice, the sound came out weak and strained. “You’s the love of my life…an’ I…I ain’t good enough for ya…” 

You instantly wrapped your arms around his waist, pressing your forehead to his clothed skin. “I wanna spend eternity with you…and my parents ain’t gonna change that.”

He let out a soft exhale as he turned slowly to take both of his hands in yours. “Ya serious?” his lip quirked into a hopeful smile. 

“I’m proud of who you are, and I want nothin’ more than to introduce my boyfriend…my person to my folks.” His eyes searched over your face, mouth opening and closing to try and find the right words.

“I…I can think of one betta…” He said gently, and you raised an eyebrow. The breath he exhaled was shaky, as he lowered himself on both of his knees, gaze not leaving yours.

“Introducing them to your financé?”

ssssspot and elmer?? hcs? together? rarepair? i love you

Spelmer

-their personalities are so different they mesh perfectly well

-Elmer is outgoing and sweet and is just the softest boy

-Spot is intimidating and introverted and has a crunchy shell with a gooey inside.

-there are few things in the world that make that gooey inside come out

-small children, dogs, cats and Elmer

-they’re first date (modern) was to a 1920’s themed restaurant

-so after that they make it their mission to do decade themed dates

-the fifties roller rink and milkshake date was both their favourites

-Spot died at seeing Elmer in his cute patterned silk button down

-and Elmer nearly fainted at Spot in a motor jacket.

-Spot drives a ancient car and it needs fixing a lot

-Elmer always comes by to keep him company and bring his mums famous chocolate chip cookies

-when they’re alone, Spot lies with his head in Elmer’s lap and let’s him play with his hair

-Elmer always brushes back the strands of hair that fall in Spots eyes before he kisses him

-Spot comes to all of Elmer’s baseball matches and Elmer goes to all of Spots debates.

-Elmer had a replica of his baseball jersey made for Spot who was always stealing it

-Spot proudly wears Elmer’s last name on his back 24/7

-Elmer LOVES it

-they hang out every weekend and catch up on trash reality television while Medda makes them homemade pizza.

Davey angst when he finds out you’ve been placed in an arranged marriage

Pacing the floor in front of you was David Jacobs. Though, to say he was furious by any means would be an understatement. More like, the teen before you is seething in resentment. Not towards you, but rather for your parents. See, you had just told the teen that you can no longer see each other due to an arranged marriage. This obviously didn’t go over well.

“I can’t believe your parents!” Davey exclaims, still wearing a groove into the floor. Sighing, you watch him from your spot on the Jacobs’ couch. “Do they not realize they’re hurting you?”

“David…things aren’t always the way we want them to be, this is just one of those times. We can’t help it.”

Stopping in his tracks, Davey turns to you. “You’d rather be in a loveless, forced marriage than stand up to your parents?” The teen asks incredulously, eyes wide in disbelief at what he’s hearing.

“That’s not what I’m saying David..” you mutter, putting your face in your hands. “Do you think I want this? If I had the choice, which I don’t, of course, I wouldn’t be doing this!” You exclaim into your hands, trying to get your feelings across.

“You do have a choice! Runaway, argue, threaten to leave, do anything to change their minds!” David argues back, crossing his arms. Shaking your head, you let out a forced laugh.

“And then what? If I run away, they’ll either call the cops or if by some miraculous reason they don’t, I’ll die in the streets. If I argue, I get punished. If I threaten to run away, which I have, I’ll be locked in my room again. I don’t have a choice, David!” You exclaim, rising from your seat. Steeling your resolve, you walk towards the door to exit the Jacobs’ apartment. Turning to face him after opening the door, You give the teen a tight-lipped smile. “David Jacobs, this is goodbye. It’s been fun.” Then you were gone.

Jealous Albert angst please!

Walking through the doorframe of the Newsboys’ lodging house, you let out a sharp squeak in response to receiving a sudden pair of lips against your own. Furrowing your eyebrows, you pull away almost as quick as you were planted on. Though, that still wasn’t quick enough to avoid being seen by Al, who is furiously storming out of the newsboys’ house. Watching him storm out with wide eyes, you quickly turn to Romeo with the fury of a god.

“Look up,” Romeo mutters quickly, backing up before you can soak him. Looking up in confusion before sighing in defeat once you see a mistletoe hanging above the doorway.

“Asshole,” you huff before running out the door to follow Albert. Spotting the tuff of red hair, you call out to the teen. “Al! Al, baby, please wait up!” you call as you run to catch up with him. Rolling his shoulders back, Al stops and turns to face you, jaw clenched.

“What?” he spats when you finally reach him. Recoiling at the harshness in his voice, you look at him with wide eyes.

“Al, that meant nothing to me,” you defend, looking him straight in the eyes. Scoffing, Al looks away from you, running his tongue across his teeth before turning his attention back to you with a sigh.

“How am I supposed to know that’s the truth?” He questions, crossing his arms.

“There was mistletoe,” You state, watching him cautiously.

Scoffing, Al turns on his heel and walks off. “We’re through.”

Is a lot more excited than he’ll actually show

Has to try not to drag you along

Gets so many different ideas for things to paint that he almost just starts sketching then and there

Kathrine:

Enjoys browsing lights while snuggling into you

Will completely write an article about the best light shows or houses

Spends a ridiculous amount of time walking through the lights just to spend time with you despite it being freezing

Davey:

He makes sure you’re not too cold every five seconds because he’s worried about your health he actually just wants to see you in his jacket though

Will do research before to find the best ones

Brings snacks and warm drinks

Sarah Jacobs:

Enjoys the downtime where she’s not working or watching Les

Enjoys chatting with you about the different light shows and how they’re different

Will want to go on a long walk even after you two are done with the lights for the night

Crutchie:

Steals your jacket 100%

Is nervous about asking you to go with him to view the lights Jack has to talk him into it

Overall he enjoys the date-not-date

Spot:

The King of Brooklyn will make you a light show

You’ll be going on this date whether you know it or not

Despite not showing it, greatly enjoys the offtime and viewing the lights

Racetrack:

Takes you to the lights for a date on surprise

Eagerly pulls you to view “The spectacular shows” while holding you close to him

Completely uses this as an excuse to still hold you and be close

Specs:

Turns it into a talk about how much people have to pay for bills

Loses his shoe in the gutter

Gives you like two jackets

Finch:

Will shoot the lights with his slingshot

Tries to climb a tree to get a better view of the lights through the crowds

Brings you a jacket but forgets his own

Henry:

Brings lots of snacks for the both of you

Throws a tomato at someone’s head because they stepped on your foot

Brings a blanket so you can sit and view the lights while you eat

Mike:

Will slip on nothing

Keeps putting his hat on you

Would sneak onto one of the shows and somehow get tangled in the lights, needing the others to help him out

Ike:

Watches his brother and doesn’t stop him

Has Spec’s shoe with no intent to return tonight

Will put his chin on your head while watching the lights with you in his arms

Sniper:

Flips off everyone who looks at you

Ends up in a contest with Finch on how many lights they can shoot out

Shoots Race in the ass at least 10 times on purpose

Albert:

Lets you hold onto his arm but grumbles about it he loves it though

Puts you on his shoulders so you can see better

Trips Race at least 4 times an hour

Mush:

Kisses you at each house

Keeps you pulled close to him to keep you warm

Starts dancing to legit any music that’s happening. Someone is humming? He dances. Some carolers? He dances.

JoJo:

Cries at a statue of baby Jesus because “It’s so ugly!”

Dances with Mush

Find a bug? Put it down Race’s shirt.

Bill:

Takes you to view the lights after a candlelit dinner

Is happy purely because you’re enjoying your after-dinner date viewing the lights

Hand on your hip at all times

Darcy:

Brings you gloves so your hands don’t get cold

Takes you shopping before going to see the lights

Hides from people that he may know so they don’t interrupt

Elmer:

Brings hot chocolate with little marshmallows

Panics because there’s a lot of people

Accidentally wanders off, requiring you to find him

Buttons:

Manages to once again lose one of the buttons on his vest in the snow

Gets into a race with Race

Kisses you by surprise under a mistletoe that’s hanging outside one of the shows

Romeo:

Uses at least 3 pick up lines per hour during your date

Kisses you on the cheek or lips when he thinks someone might try to hit on you, or just because he wants to

Gets lost in your eyes and not the shows

Smalls:

Pouts about not being tall enough to see over people

Kicks someone in the calf so they move out of the way of you two

Does not release your hand the entire night

Kenny:

Takes you to view the lights as a surprise for an anniversary

Jumps around a lot because nervous energy

Keeps you held close in crowds

Kid Blink:

“The show must look great with one eye” “I’ll kill you Racetrack”

Possessive boy ™

Straight up stares a guy down from 20 feet away because he gave you something you dropped

Tommy Boy:

Takes you out  to view the lights because he heard you wanted to see them even though he’s tired after selling

Ends up in a fight with a guy that tries to flirt at you

Keeps you close to help you stay warm and to make other guys back off

Barney Peanuts:

Takes you by the circus first so you can see the show

Comments on how each of the light shows are different

Makes you a paper crane out of newspaper

Snitch:

Makes a cross at every statue of Jesus

Is nervous about being on a date but glad you’re enjoying it

Somehow manages to fall into a snowbank

Skittery:

Nervous energy ™

Holds your hand and apologizes for it being clammy

Keeps getting scared about losing sight of Tumbler

Bumlets:

Dancing with JoJo Mush 10000000%

Enjoys walking through the lights at his own pace with you, opting to stay out of the crowded areas as much as possible

Takes you to see his family before the lights

Itey:

Talks a lot about Italian Christmas traditions

Kisses you any chance he gets

Is so happy to be able to go on a date with you

Dutchy:

Mentions a little about how he would celebrate with his family

Talks about your future together

Is worried he might somehow ruin the date

Snoddy:

Wants to show you the absolute best shows possible

Gets possessive if someone so much as looks at you

Gives you a cute bow to wear in your hair

Swifty:

Has like 300 watches and bracelets by the end of the night

Enjoys how beautifully the lights sparkle

Pulls down exactly three (3) Bull’s pants

Denton:

Takes you out after setting up the Christmas tree

Ends up watching the newsies get into trouble, much to your amusement

Takes a slow walk with you to look at the lights a second time once the crowds clear out

Pie Eater:

Enjoys viewing the lights, taking his time to admire them

Comments how you’re even more beautiful than the lights

Somehow gets a pie and throws it into Race’s face

Jake:

Takes you through the smaller ones first

Tells you about the shenanigans the boys have been up to

Gets you onto the roof of The World building so you can see a bunch of light shows at once

York:

Will fight anyone for glancing at you funny

Gets teased by Spot and Hot Shot

Enjoys seeing the lights reflect in your eyes even though he’d never say it

Hot Shot:

Smacks your ass. A LOT.

Won’t admit it but is really excited to see the lights with you at his side
