So in simpler words, what Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun are saying to Taylor is that the only way she can play HER music at the AMAs is if she doesn’t re-record her songs next year (since they know it’ll destroy Big Machine Records) and if her and her team “stop being mean to them” by talking about the problem at hand. There is so much WRONG with this because Taylor has already played some of her previous music on TV this year so their argument that she would be re-recording her music before she is allowed to is BULL because then those other times would’ve been a problem but they WERENT. This just shows the immaturity and pettiness of these men; they see that she is finally getting the recognition and respect that she deserves by being nominated as artist of the decade and they pull out this ridiculous argument just to ruin it for her.

it's just so telling bc like many people have already pointed out, she's been singing several older songs on TV this era like GMA and The Voice so to block her singing on the AMA's shows that it's so deeply personal in that they don't want her to be celebrated as an artist...they don't want her to be recognized as artist of the decade or be given any praise for her accomplishments which is???? so ugly??? it was never about business or even about making money, it has been personal from the get go. it has been a means of control and devaluing her work and her as an artist. i know there's a lot of specifics that we don't know and will never know but it's so alarmingly clear that they both have no respect for and don't even see her as a person, an artist, or even as their colleague in the entertainment industry

I’m Sophia and my brother Nicholas and I have decided to make this account to support @taylorswift through all the drama that she is being subjected to recently. Throughout the years so much has been thrown at her and she has taken all of the hate and judgment and built herself a tower to lift herself above it. Not only is she strong and fearless but she’s so inspirational to everyone around her and it saddens us that some people choose not to see that. Now that she’s reaching out to the fans, we thought it would be nice to have just a little extra support out there, especially through the nonsense of her not being able to perform HER music. We’ve loved her since we first heard Tim McGraw and will continue to support this sparkling ball of happiness that brings us so much joy everyday until she finally gets everything she deserves 💗
