Sky Patched Calendar Ver. 0.25.5: A Guide for Sky Events
- Season of Nesting Post-Season Content
- Days of Nature
- Days of Color/Rainbow
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Season of Nesting Continues! πŸͺΊ (April 15th - June 30th)
Tumblr media
Nesting Challenge Board - a permanent addition to the game, so its quests (and rewards) will remain in the game even after the Season ends.
After completing all the challenges in a tree, several props will be available to unlock: an instrument stand, a music player, and a stone figurine.
Instrument stand: Use it to set out any one instrument from your closet to play. If it’s placed in an area where other players can interact with it, they can play the instrument you set out!
Music player: Plays various pieces of music that are in the game. There are several β€œchannels” that have their own musical themes.
Stone figurine: A decorative figure that can wear any hairstyle, hats, neck items, or capes you have in your closet. (This is a decorative item only; it will not allow players to copy and wear the same items that the stone figurine is wearing.)
Friends' Nest Preview Feature - a new feature that we’re hoping will spark inspiration for everyone: an option in your Nest menu to view other Nests. You’ll be able to β€œscroll” through a preview of these Nests that favors ones your friends have made while also showing Nests that other players have made too. It’s just a preview, though, so you won’t see anyone in this view, and other players won’t see anyone who might be viewing their Nest through this feature either.
Season of Nesting continues until 23:59 June 30th (all times PDT, UTC -7).
Days of Nature 🌊 (May 27 - June 16; 3 Weeks)
Tumblr media
Last year, Days of Nature had supportedΒ The Ocean Cleanup, through theΒ American FriendsΒ of The Ocean Cleanup, as they work towards a 90% reduction of floating plastic in the world’s oceans by 2040.
Tumblr media
During the event you can find 4 event currency each day, placed in different spots around Prairie Peaks. Use these to unlock this year’s new IGC items:
Ocean Mask: 16 event currency
Ocean Blue Scarf: 40 event currency
(16 + 40 = 56 / 4 = 14 Days in order to get both items - 21 Days of the Event = 7 Days of "skip" days)
This year the event will again offer special IAPs to support charity efforts focused on real-world cleanup work in oceans and waterways.
Half of the total list price of items listed here will be donated to these efforts. The remaining amount will cover platform fees (expenses from Apple App Store, Google Play, etc) and a portion of development (operations, taxes, and post-event refunds.)
Nature Wave Pack: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - Includes 75 regular candles
Ocean Necklace: 1.99 USD (1.00 USD donation)
Nature Sonorous Seashell: 4.99 USD (2.50 USD donation) - This placeable item has a toggle to play relaxing ocean sound effects
Earth Cape: 4.99 USD (2.50 USD donation)
Ocean Cape: $14.99 USD (7.50 USD donation)
Nature Glasses Pack: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - A toggle for these sunglasses adds a bluer tint to the world around you; includes 75 regular Candles
Nature Turtle Pack: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD) - includes 75 regular Candles

Days of Colors/Rainbow 🌈 (June 24 - July 7; 2 Weeks)
Tumblr media
This year we’re proud to once again share that we’ll be supporting theΒ The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people.
Tumblr media
Half of the total list price of items listed here will be donated to these efforts. The remaining amount will cover platform fees (expenses from Apple App Store, Google Play, etc) and a portion of development (operations, taxes, and post-event refunds.)
Dark Rainbow Loafers: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - includes 75 regular Candles
Dark Rainbow Pack 9.99 USD (5.00 USD donation) - includes 40 regular candles
Rainbow Pack flower hair accessory: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - includes 75 regular Candles
Double Rainbow Pack flower hair accessory: 9.99 USD (5.00 USD donation) - includes 40 regular candles
As you soar around the event space, watch out for 5 rainbow-shaped event currency each day: 4 around the area, and 1 from completing the day’s color puzzle.
Non-Charity Items:
IGC:
Color Glam Cut: 18 event currency
Dark Rainbow Mask: 32 event currency
(18 + 32 = 50 / 5 = 10 Days in order to get both items - 14 days of the event = 4 "skip" days)
IAP:
Color Bubble Machine: 14.99 USD - The bubbles from this prop temporarily change the cape color of the closest player!
Rainbow Earring: 2.99 USD
Rainbow Headphones: 9.99 USD
Rainbow Hat: 9.99 USD
Dark Rainbow Tunic: 14.99 USD
This year’s event is also the one-year anniversary of event currency! These are used for the newest in-game currency items in an event in the current year, so items introduced for event currency last year can now be unlocked for varying amounts of regular in-game currency this year.
Returning IGC items:
Dark Rainbow Cape: 177 Candles
Rainbow Cape: 175 Candles
Rainbow Trousers: 95 Candles
Rainbow Braid Accessory: 20 Hearts

~thicc list
By request! The thoroughly unscientific ~thicc list.Β
The ~thicc meter is based off a brilliant project a tumblr user did for RL NHL players (which I can’t find anywhere now :( ), ranking every team by ~thiccest to least ~thicc player, which were fascinating reads (amusingly but unsurprisingly to me, goalies usually found themselves in the top five or bottom five on their teams β€” you’ve got the lanky, very flexible goalies and then you’ve got the brick wall goalies (still flexible, they’re goalies) and very little in between).Β
The measurement’s pretty simple: weight divided by height (lbs/inches). This is of course not a perfect metric, because it doesn’t indicate build or how much is muscle mass, etc, (Ulf’s right around Dan on this index, for example, but he’s a lot more cut than Dan, who’s built a lot sturdier) but all of these guys are professional athletes and physically fit, so it works better than it would in a non-hockey scenario. Regardless, it’s about as accurate as say, a BMI, AKA: it’s a quick gauge and far from the entire picture.Β
There’s of course a fairly wide range, as there is in hockey for different roles (your power forward who throws seven hits a night is not going to have the same build as your speed demon who can turn any penalty kill into a shorthanded breakaway), but a lot of overlap because while there is that range, there’s also plenty of overlap in RL hockey. You also often find them rounded to the nearest 5 or 0, though there are exceptions, probably when a player’s smack in the middle so rounding up or down isn’t worth it, so again, one player could outweigh another in their category by a pound or two but -- *shrug*
I’ve consulted a lot of NHL stats over the years, and used comparable player by role and body type, and the guys in the 2.60-2.80 range comprise the majority of the RL NHL as well as the YCMAL β€˜verse one.Β And of course this varies by the point in their career β€” Jared’s, for example, is now that he’s in his early twenties, he’d have been lower in his rookie year. Ditto Evan’s β€” this is post final growth spurt.Β
But it helps give a bit of an indication of these guys’ builds! Andy, for example, is Scratch’s height but WELL down on the list from him. Roman is in a category all by himself because he’s built like a damn tank.
BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roman: 3.27 (6β€²1.5β€³ 240 lbs)

Mike: 3.07 (6β€²3β€³ 230 lbs)

Ulf & Alexei: 2.77 (both: 6β€²2β€³ 205 lbs. VERY different builds though.)
Dan: 2.75 (6β€²2.5β€³ 205 lbs)

Surviving the Economy: 7 More Small Ways to Save Big
This article has written by Miss MoneyBelleAvoid ATM fees. When you take out money from ATMs that aren’t affiliated with your bank, you could be charged around $5.00 for every transaction β€” $2.50 by your bank and $2.50 by the ATM provider. Take out cash twice a week, and that’s $40 a month you’re paying just to have access to your money β€” something that’s free when you go through your own bank.
1)If your bank doesn’t have enough ATM or branch coverage to be convenient for you, consider opening a free account at a different bank with widespread ATMs where you keep just enough to cover your cash withdrawals from week to week.
2) Unplug. Chargers and electrical appliances that feature a clock, a timer, any kind of memory, or that can be operated by remote β€œare all sucking electricity even when you’re not using them,” says Dale Bryk of the National Resources Defense Council. Of the total energy used to run home electronics, as much as 40 percent is consumed when these so-called β€œvampire appliances” β€” TVs, DVD players, computers, printers, stereos, automatic coffee makers β€” are turned off.
Shave some dollars off of your electric bill by either unplugging your home appliances when you’re not using them or by plugging them into Smart Strip power strips from BITS Ltd., which stop drawing electricity when your gadgets are turned off. After a few months of savings, the Smart Strips will pay for themselves.
3) Keep cool or heat things up β€” but only when you’re home. The average household spends more than $2,000 a year on energy bills β€” nearly half of which is spent on heating and cooling, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. You can save about $180 a year by properly setting and maintaining the settings on a programmable thermostat to automatically adjust the temperature for you when you’re away from home. Generally, you can save about 3 percent of your heating costs for each degree you lower your thermostat in the winter and about 4 percent of your cooling costs for each degree you raise your thermostat in the summer.

CYPRESS β€” The Bridgeland High School football team escaped the fourth week of the Texas high school football season with a shocking 48-14 victory over last year’s District 14-6A champion, Cy Ranch, at the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Stadium Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. The game left the Bears as the only 14-6A team with an unbeaten overall season record.

However, the Bears’ victory only ties them with Cy Lakes’ Spartans and Cy Woods’ Wildcats in league action, at 2-0 apiece.
The Spartans overcame Cy Springs’ Panthers, 21-7, and the Wildcats defeated Langham Creek, 31-14.
Editor’s note: All references to β€œBridgeland” are specifically to CFISD’s 12th high school.
The remaining district battle was Tomball Memorial shutting out Bryan, 40-0. Cy Park had it’s bye game in Week 4.
Overall season standings within District 14-6A have CFISD’s newest Bear team at 4-0; followed by Cy Lakes and Tomball Memorial at 3-1. Cy Ranch and Cy Woods are both at 2-2, with Bryan’s Vikings at 1-2. There are currently three teams with goose eggs in the win column: Cy Park at 0-3, Cy Springs and Langham Creek are both at 0-4.
Week 5 will see a meaty round of matchups as Cy Lakes battles the #MWT Mustangs, as Cy Ranch looks to get back on the winning path and get leverage over the Spartans on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Stadium.
The Bears battle Cy Woods in what could be a key game in the 2019 campaign for the district championship Friday at 7 p.m. at Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Stadium.
The Lobos visit Bryan Friday, also at 7 p.m.
Saturday’s lone scheduled game will force a winner as Cy Park and Cy Springs battle at 6 p.m. at Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Justin Verlander trade demand reportedly increasing
The trade interest in Justin Verlander has apparently picked up.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reports that the trade interest in Verlander increased this week, with another team joining the mix as a potential suitor.
Trade interest in Justin Verlander has increased this week; a team other than #Astros has emerged as possible suitor, source says. @MLB
β€” Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) August 29, 2017
Though Verlander’s season numbers aren’t especially great β€” he has a 3.90 ERA and 1.30 WHIP this year β€” his August numbers have been very good. The former Cy Young award winner is 3-1 with a 2.50 ERA this month and is holding opponents to a .180 batting average.
Verlander already cleared revocable waivers, meaning the only hurdle that might impede a trade is the $56 million he’s owed over the next two seasons. Teams have until the end of the month to trade for a player who has cleared waivers.
