Something to note, we are very particular in keeping to the rules, and we are also going for a story based RP. With this, we are sticking to a formal RP story based writing style; all members are expected to adjust to this novel like format. All in all, a maximum of fifteen people is needed for the server to work.

During combat situations, instead of strictly writing out combat, there will be a system that will be relatively close to Dungeon and Dragons’ combat system. We have a Stamina Bar for characters, or SB, to cast spells. Some of these spells have lasting effects but weak, and there are spells that are strong but cost a lot of points. Based on what kind of caster the RPer is- classical casting, elemental, fortifying, creation, summoning, or healing- they will get a set amount of points and four spells.

Over time, the spells can improve or they can switch out spells for something different! It can help control what player realistically have- making it easier for players to understand and conserve points when they need to in combat, make it concise for their character, and has them figure things out creatively!And maybe over time, with the right tweaking, people could gain spells in the other player types! Maybe even gain more spell slots!

Base Spell Slots for all Casters: Four Slots. (2 small, one medium, and one large spell) Base HP: 7.

Magics that are allowed (so far):

Classical Casting: Saying Magical words, casting from a wand/staff/book/etc. Stamina based/knowledge based casters are constant learners of spells and incantations in order to fight or use effects. Casters are inquisitive, as they are bold in figuring out the ways of the Magical World. They are able to learn many spells, given study time and materials. They are the basic canvas of witches and wizards, and their spells can be combined together into a more powerful single spell at the cost of additional Stamina Points. Base Stamina Points: 10 SP per Spell: 3-5 (small spells) 5-8 (medium Spells) 9-10 (Large Spells) Special Ability: Spell Combination (Limit 2 spells, First spell is Source and second is Delivery. For example: Firebolt + Swarm of Insects= Swarm of Insects w/ chance of Fire.) Class Weakness: All spells must be learned in order to be cast. Either through practice or writing in a spellbook, with preparation. All preparation must be sustained in RP before Combat situations. There are limits to what spells can be memorized or performed in a given time.

Elemental Sorcerer: Magics based in Nature (Only one element per OC; Water, Earth, Fire, Wind.) Very temperamental and unpredictable when not controlled, but under the correct tutelage can be very effective. Character’s personalities sometimes reflects the element they use, shy and quiet earth to spontaneous and emotional fire. They have a little more stamina than regular Classical Casters and are able to cast their elemental magics easily. But, as nature is unpredictable, so is their spell successes. Should they fail, who knows what accidents could happen on the battlefield? Base Stamina Points: 15 Spells per SP: 5-8 (Medium Spells) Special Ability: Elemental Terrain (For two cycles- two turns after activating- an Elemental caster can give themselves an advantage on Success Rolls for attacks, Class Weakness: Disaster of Nature (Second Die roll to check on success or fail. 1-10 (fail/mixed failure), 11-20 (Mixed Success/Success) If either of these rolls happen, something good or bad happens.

Fortifying: Magics based in strengthening the body or improving a certain part; clearly improving one’s chances in single one on one combat, or multiple person combat. It takes years to focus one’s magic to the whole body, and even more so to control the energy. But with patience yields focus, and with that comes devastating close combat power! Fortifiers are people who want to become stronger or be a protector of a way of life, a person, or even their own goals.

Base Stamina Points: 15 Spells per SP: 4 Medium Spells Special Ability: Fortify Self (Hardens Body or Body Part as Magical Focus) Harnessing the inner power of magic within a person’s body, they can focus on hardening a part of their body to protect or to hit. Body: Increases Difficulty to Hit- Person Hitting would have to reach a 12 or higher to hit. Part: Increases Damage from 2 harm to 3-4 harm, depending on spell. Class Weakness: Stamina Drain. (3 SP is taken from SP Pool to maintain Fortifying Focus. This is taken after the Fortifyer’s Turn.) Fortifyers, even the strongest, still fall to the hubris of invincibility. The magic that they burn is taxing to the body, and can’t be maintained for a long time.

Creation: Magics based in using forging or brewing potions or items to support or directly affect combat. These items that they make are quintessential to who they are as a caster (Blacksmith, Alchemist, Potion Brewer, etc...) and they are constantly improving and changing their formulas for more effectiveness. Creation Based Casters, technically, have no direct magic powers like Classical Casters, and can’t attack directly. But, with given resources and time, they can stand just as tall as any of the others. Stamina Points: 10 Special Ability 1: Magical Item Research; with given time in RP, A character can find out about a certain item, appraise it, or try and copy the blueprints of it. Based on the difficulty on the item, they could be able to make the item given the materials. Special Ability 2: Magical Item Creation; with given time in RP, a creation caster can start to create a item- based of difficulty and a dice roll on success, it can create said item based on a realistic Check. If failed, then either something goes wrong or it has no effect. Class Weakness: Creation Type Casters cannot directly cast spells on their own. They are directly based in their equipment- should it be taken away from them, they would have limited to no magic abilities in combat situations.

Healing: Healing Magics/Medicinal Magics are based in apothecary or purely energizing magics. Characters in this type are interesting in purely supporting others instead of directly fighting people, though they do have methods to protect themselves in one on one combat, not to fight back. SP: 10 Spells per SP: 2 Medium spells, 2 Small Spells Special Ability: Rejuvenating Energy: Once per Combat Situation, a Healer can give 5 SP back to a specific Person. This will directly drain from their SP count, and will be transferred to the Caster of their choice. Class Weakness: Combat Deficient: Healers are terrified of combat or direct involvement against forces of darkness. Even though one of the Healer’s first spells would be a Shield of some kind, they only have that as a defense mechanism. Any other magic casting style/method can be discussed with the Mods for balancing and making sure that they are not overpowered. If these casting methods have any problems, feel free to express your criticisms as well. Banned Magic:

Time Magic: While messing with time sounds pretty cool and has been used in other forms, we’ve agreed that Time Magic is a lot to keep in check and will not be used in this RP. Line of Sight Magic: Magics that, upon seeing something in line of sight of the target, the user would activate an effect that would happen. That would be unfair in combat situations, and would be overpowered. Necromancy: Raising the Dead is classically a cursed type of magic, and following through with this type of logic, it would be banned in the world as well as in this server.
