@caemthe said (inbox):
Nobunaga was waiting for him in their office and, for once, they weren't messing with the paperwork or pretending to laze around. They stayed silent until the door closed and Nagayoshi took a seat in front of them. “Friends come and go. As fun as they are, in the end, they’re unreliable elements you can’t control. In the end, they'll only bring you pain.” A 3D hologram showed between the two businessmen. “A detail like this, as minuscule as it is, is the piece that has been missing from our plan.” And there it was, a picture of Conchobar’s nephew, someone who knew too much of Militech. “You know I wouldn’t ask this of you if I didn’t think you're a good fit. But you're one of my most trusted employees and that boy isn’t stupid enough to let a stranger get too close... But he trusts you, yes?” That’s all that mattered, that's all they needed. "It's time you show where your loyalties lie."
Tumblr media
NAGAYOSHI KNEW THE MOMENT he stepped into that room that he wasn’t going to like whatever it was that passed Nobunaga’s lips. He had known them since he was a boy, and though for other children they would fondly come to call upon a close family friend as an uncle or an aunt, never once did he ever refer to Nobunaga as any of these things. While Ranmaru stared up upon them with starry eyes, he knew better. Nobunaga was Nobunaga. To look upon them as family was to make a grave mistake. Thus, he always thought of them professionally rather than with any actual closeness. After all, they surely felt the same. Door closed behind him, he made his way towards the other’s desk, soon to come to a stop in front of it and taking a seat. ‘Friends come and go…’ Yes, he had been right. His instincts were never wrong, and that was how he was able to thrive in this company where others may come to sink. Arms that had come to cross over his chest tightened their hold just a little upon the mention of a certain ‘Conchobar’s nephew’ and the hologram that followed.
He only knew one of those.
‘Heh, sounds like bullshit,’ he thought to himself at the mention of how Nobunaga wished they hadn’t had to come to him, of all people, with this particular mission. He had firmly come to believe over the many years of knowing them, that they were incapable of feeling sympathy for another person, and he was pretty sure the only time they would show any form of sadness was if anything ever happened to his old man. Even Ranmaru’s death hadn’t done anything to move them, just as Nagayoshi knew it wouldn’t. This fact alone was what had hurt him the most about his sibling's death was how they had died for someone who simply didn't care. At the end of the day, Nobunaga had just been upset that their plans of visiting Gozen had been ruined rather than remorseful for being the reason the child of one of their closest executives had perished. ❝What do you want me to do, Boss?❞

[ nobunaga, csm ] They run a finger down the other devil's spine after casually appearing next to him. "So... this is where you've been all this time? I was worried you were trying to get away from me... but, of course, you would never do that... right Decay? Ah, no, it's... Ozymandias now, yes?"
Tumblr media
TCH, HE HAD THOUGHT that Extinction would still be in the depths of Hell, but apparently the Devil was now wandering about the surface, acting no differently than how they always acted regardless of what appearance they might wear. To be expected, he supposed. They always were an oddity to him. For all he knew, their reason for coming to earth could have been just for the sake of experiencing something 'new'. For how long had they even been on the surface? A few years? A hundred? More? In the end, it didn't really matter. In this vast world, even a Devil must learn to expect surprises...even if Ozymandias had yet to meet anything aside from this instance where he was surprised save for catching a glimpse of a specific Devil who worked at the behest of the government of this land.
His thoughts did not linger long on this topic, the other's fingers trailing along the smooth, black surface of the carapace along his spine enough to serve as a distraction. Uncomfortable! How many times did he have to tell the other to mind their personal space? No other Devil would be so foolish as to even attempt to touch him, fearful that they, like all things, would suddenly be reminded of mortality on earth. Alas, nothing could frighten a primordial being. If anything, he should be terrified of them just as any Devil or human with a desire to survive, would be. The sheer presence of a one this ancient would have any shaking and attempting to find some means of fleeing. Or like a rabbit cornered by a wolf, freeze in place, unable to do much of anything but watch and wait for the inevitable.
But Decay and Extinction were nearly two sides of the same coin in a way, and so, even with that lingering discomfort that would always remain, he spoke with usual casual ease. ❝Extinction,❞ he greeted, shifting his body a little to move just a little bit away from them. ❝I am surprised you came searching for me. Surely you could not have missed me that much?❞ Arms crossed over his chest, golden eyes watching the other with intense scrutiny. No doubt the other was here for some specific purpose (even if said specific purpose was boredom). They always were, the fickle creature.

[ nobunaga ] "How about a dance?" The Avenger said out of nowhere. They had stayed behind after the strategic meeting finished, but didn't lift a finger to help the mage put things back in place. Instead, they were just sitting in the opposite corner of the room, feet on the table even though they had been asked not to. It often seemed that the Avenger did things on a whim, without caring once about what others' opinions were, just senseless things, like now, requesting a dance when there was no music and not much space to move. "Are you familiar with western dances? They captured my attention a few weeks ago."
⩤ Unprompted ⩥
A dance?
“You mean like a Waltz, or something more modern?” As she finished putting away the equipment that they’ve used for the meeting, the magus leaned against the edge of the table and looked at the Avenger curiously. It’s been so long since she’s had any contact with the real world outside of Chaldea that the only western dances that she’s familiar with were more on the classical side. Kiomi wasn’t entirely sure what ran inside the Avenger’s mind majority of the time, so whether something was going to be a hit or miss, depended on the other’s temperament. A little waiting did no one any harm. Plus, there was enough time to spare, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Tumblr media
“I’m not entirely sure what type of dance you’re speaking of, but if you’re willing to lead and not mind risking a few toes being stepped on, then I guess you have yourself a dance partner.” But there was little space and no music to even go by. It made her wonder if summoning one of the musicians to play a tune would be better, or if imagination and a little bit of humming was enough to provide the Avenger with a bit of amusement.

caemthe asked:
[ nobunaga, for gracia ] “Oh…? If it isn’t Tamako-chan!” A smile that didn’t reach the warlord’s soulless eyes spread across their features. “It appears that this place never ceases to surprise us with familiar faces.” To think that Akechi’s daughter would make it to the throne of heroes… how peculiar. “Ah... but what are you doing there? Come closer, our Tamako-chan grew up a lot.”
!!!
A look of surprise plays on the Caster’s face. “Oda Nobunaga, it seems that fate conspired to bring us together, hm?” Her circumstances being a Heroic Spirit were tragic, her death being the final push in Tadaoki deciding for who he’d fight for. “Aye, that I did.” she grins. “I’m certain I haven’t changed too much.”
Carried on her person was a rosary and her style of dress denoted a Western sensibility to her. She also developed a dry sense of humor as a Heroic Spirit no doubt her way of coping with her traumatic death and her troubles leading up to it

@caemthe asked!: [ nobunaga, for ranmaru ] "Alright, you have my permission to speak."
Ah.
He should have expected it.
He should have expected it, lurking around corners, breathing in their scent, trying to avoid being seen-
Then their lord speaks out into the air and he stills from the hall he shadows them from. There’s nobody else around. They can’t be speaking to anyone else. How did they know- ah, because they’re Lord Nobunaga.
It takes a long minute for him to walk out from around the corner. Ranmaru waits, willing himself not to bow. Maybe it’s spiteful. But they were the one who rejected him first. So he holds himself upright, staring them down.
(Such a strong force, even now. He wants to throw himself down and weep, but it’d just expose the nape of his neck, where short cropped hair reveals skin.)
Tumblr media
“..I won a grail war for you, you know. You must know.” A prayer spoken by clenched hands with papercuts from all the folded cranes after he learned of the tradition. ‘To be strong enough to reach their side’. Yet it wasn’t enough. Countless spaces cut through, pulling himself bloody through time, yet never could he arrive before the day after they died. Their face feels wet, but there’s nothing to wipe it away. His hands are incapable of moving.
A wasted wish.
“But you were never in reach. Do you even know how much it hurt? I know you don’t care, but do you even know?” It stings. He wants to scream. His voice is as raw as shattered glass, threatening to cut the neck it speaks out of open.
“I need you to realize. I need you to. It hurts so much, but not once did I see your face again. Now... I know it must have been intentional. You must have spurned me.”
Tumblr media
“Because you didn’t care. You made me love you, and- what, did I ever matter? You gave me a precious sword, the kind given as a marriage vow- but you never meant it that way, did you? Did you even consider a single action?”
Ah, he wants to rip something open again. His lips quiver, but with a shake far more violent his fingertips shake. All those sweet and warm words might as well have been incense smoke. Promises and drunken laughter, his head that rested on that lap that was almost red-hot as flames, looked up to long hair as red as the alcohol's blush on their face. But it was never returned, was it?
“I want to hate you. I want to rip you apart, Oda Nobunaga. I want to pull out your heart like a butterfly on a board. I never will have a future by your side, isn’t it right?” A chick still in the egg that was incubated by the very fire that would cook it. Ranmaru’s hands twitch. “Was I not good enough on the inside? Because you certainly liked my insides when you used them in bed! You certainly liked my hands when they served you, so were they only good enough to touch you when they were still soft? But that’s not enough, is it? You can speak of your consorts, but your former lover is just someone to be hushed away, is that right? Or did my body use up it’s good for you when it kept your body from being despoiled in death? Was the only spoiling I was worth taking my virginity? Am I too disgusting when I’m not a perfect and pure lily before you?”
His chest heaves against its bindings. Tight. Everything is too tight, his body is too wound up by emotion, but he shakes despite it all. If only he could cut them open. See what changed, compare it against his own guts and sickly organs. Ears twitch underneath his hood, unaware of the fox’s snarl that escapes his throat.
Tumblr media
“You. I can’t... I can’t even hate you. I still wish I could-” It chokes. The words choke. A past affiliation he cannot shake, love that even sick and impure cannot be shaken out from the heart it roots around. If only he could overdose on lily seeds to see them smile so fondly and softly again, if only spirits took their breath again to turn their attention back to him-
It makes him sick. The hair he was never allowed to cut brushes against the back of his neck like their hand.
“You want me to speak, then I’ll speak. You threw me aside after death even when I let you have that death on your own terms. I’m not such a dumb dog that I can’t even get a message. So don’t assume you can demand of me. You demanded everything from me and when I gave it so willingly it still wasn’t enough. There isn’t any more to give, Oda Nobunaga.”
Tumblr media
“I want you to pray. You, who abandoned the buddha and all faith- I want you to pray I never learn to hate you. I love you too much to exercise this passion. Pray. Pray and hope it always stays love, because I have so many things I want to do while I love you that would show the world your ugliest depths. Pray I love you eternally. Need my love like I need your own. Because if I run out of love, I’ll have to devour you to finally sate my passions.”

[ nobu, for nagayoshi ] "Oi, Katsuzou, mind me asking a couple things?" Chacha had left the room to steal search for snacks, which gave the daimyō the perfect chance to say something that had crossed their mind that day. "Why are you so stupid?" Each word would've been accentuated by a smack to the head if they hadn't been lying down. "I mean, you ever stopped to think why I approved for the Ikeda and Mori clan to tie the knot? Come on, your wife was one of a kind so... the hell was that with your daughter not becoming an onna-bugeisha and not marrying a samurai?" Because, seriously, such wasted potential. The children of terrifying warriors should become even more terrifying warriors themselves. Ugh, it didn't take a genius to figure that out. "If I had known, I would've sent her to be fostered by another family." A yawn. "Actually, the hell were you doing instead of making more brats? Being a couple years away from the battlefield wouldn't have killed Sen-chan." Tch, just thinking about it pissed them off but it wasn't like it could be helped now.
Tumblr media
AS IF HE COULD refuse Nobunaga. What was he supposed to say? No? To them? Seemed ridiculous. However, sometimes they liked giving the illusion of choice, so he would go along with it. ❝Sure. What’dya want?❞ Considering they purposely waited until Chacha left, no doubt whatever he was going to be asked would be annoying. Even so, one did not refuse Nobunaga, and so he’d have to answer it – whatever it was. The question that came was one that earned a raised brow, his head giving a slight tilt to the side. ❝Huh?❞ Nagayoshi couldn’t recall doing anything that was too…outside…of his usual habits. He tried to dig through his thoughts to find something, although in the end, there was no reason to do even that. Nobunaga continued on, stating what they had meant by him being ‘stupid’. Teeth clenched, his expression darkening, but he didn’t say anything. At least, not at first. For as loud and quick to state his mind as he always was, there was switch between his usual boorish and brash habits to something far more cunning and cautious – the very things that one would assume that Nagayoshi was not. ❝Well, you can’t trust a rabid dog to do everything you want it to do. You know that much, Boss.❞
He was obedient, though also not quite. Nagayoshi did what Nagayoshi wanted to do, and they were very much aware of that fact since the beginning. Was that not why they wrote off his behavior at times, as him just being him? Why they did not punish him for killing each and every guard that had attempted to block his way and make him get off his horse back in the past? Why they hadn’t punished him for things said or done when others would have been slain on spot after a good laugh from Nobunaga? ❝Anyway, why would I want to have more kids when I could be out there killing? My daughter would have been a terrible onna-bugeisha. A good wife, yeah, but warrior? Not so much.❞ He waved his hand, brushing aside the very thought of it. ❝She didn’t have the disposition for it and would have been more liability than anything else…and I know how you hate those you can’t properly use. ‘Sides, the time I spent lounging about the estate would have been put to better use taking enemies heads.❞ He leaned back, his hand lifting to cup his chin as he glanced up at the ceiling. ❝Nah, that other stuff never really came to mind when war was a lot more interesting than setting up a marriage.❞

[ nobunaga, for nagayoshi ] Ranmaru was a genius with a bright future. Emphasis on was, past time, as whatever bright future was waiting for them was thrown away they chose to shield one of the custom-made proxies of the CEO of Tsunami from a surprise attack. What a waste. What a pain. But the Oda owed at least some level of recognition and respect to the Mori family so Nobunaga went above and beyond for the funeral and memorial, even a public apology to the Mori family... everything that looked good on the news and showed how much the company cared for its people.
Ugh... it already had been an entire week and they still hadn’t heard a word from that damn Katsuzou. They didn't have time to waste, especially not now, so they ended up showing up at his doorstep, ringing the bell many times. The CEO sighed and rubbed their temples but still tried one last time. “Oi, Katsuzou, stop moping around and open the damn door already!" No answer. "Remember the full body armor project? Oni Musashi, its first prototype has been finalized and it's safe to use. I thought you were excited about giving it a try as soon as it became available to the public. Well, no need to wait that long, it's all yours now." No answer. Tch. "I also know the location of the bastards that killed Ranmaru. You sure you don't wanna pay them a visit with your brand new equipment?”
Tumblr media
WHY DID HIS BROTHER have to die like that, huh? Why give up his life for a damn proxy? They could be replaced in literally no time, and yet, he had done something stupid and got himself killed protecting one. Idiot, idiot, IDIOT--! Nagayoshi had been filled with rage upon hearing all of this, torn between wanting to yell towards the heavens in anguish or grabbing the nearest person and smashing their face against a wall until it was unrecognizable. For days he had stayed in bedroom, staring at nothing in particular on the celling, the sound of the television droning in the distance while multicolored fish swam about in a large, glowing blue aquarium in the background. He had gone to the funeral, of course. Nayagoshi had been eerily quiet the whole time in a way that was abnormal for someone who loved to hear the sound of their own voice. What a joke. None of those people at the funeral gave a damn about Ranmaru. They were all ass kissers who thought that by attending and saying how much they would miss him, that would somehow earn them bonus points from the Mori family.
     It was always like that.
There was nothing real in this city. He had learned that a long time ago. The doorbell rang once, twice, three times – he lost track after a bit, that noise soon blending in with everything else. ‘Katsuzou’… Was that Nobunaga? Tch, who cares. They may be his boss, but that didn’t mean he’d listen to them. Not right now, at least. He clicked his tongue, eyes closing as he clasped his hands upon his stomach, trying to deal with the massive headache he had from the alcohol he had ingested earlier. Before Ranmaru’s death, he would have been overjoyed to hear that the armor project had been completed, but now? None of that mattered. What thrill he would have felt was like a pinprick at the back of his head. It wasn’t until the mention of Nobunaga having found his brother’s killers that suddenly life flared back in him. With little to no time as if he had suddenly appeared from one place to another, he soon stood before the CEO with door ajar, peering down at them with a mad look in those golden eyes that almost made them seem to glow red.
❝What’d you say? You found ‘em?❞

[ nobunaga, for tomoe ] After listening to the input of other heroic spirits on how to advance and pass to the enemy undetected or, at least, minimising confrontation, the warlord crossed their arms and closed their eyes. For almost half a minute, it appeared that the Avenger was pondering on how to proceed, weighing pros and cons, and determining the best strategy. They were, after all, a great strategist knowledgeable in the art of war so, clearly, they had to have a plan. "I'm rather jealous," they finally said as they opened their eyes and looked at the archer of the party. "A fierce warrior well-versed in the battlefield and a loyal wife as beautiful as the first sakura blossoms of the season... it's a shame that we existed in different times." That was not... what the group had been discussing about for the last half an hour...
Tumblr media
WITH EVERYONE'S OPINIONS OFFERED in regards to battle strategy put out there, Tomoe had waited patiently for Nobunaga's own. Surely a famed daimyo from the Sengoku era would know how best to proceed. She knew all about the other's exploits, their reputation as chaotic as any controversial figure in history. However, one thing that held her focus was just the fact that they had done what many would have deemed impossible -- nearly united the warring states into a singular body. Thus, when it was their time to speak, she couldn't help her curiosity. What wisdom did they have to bestow? What holes did they see that the others might not? Surely the silence that lingered must have been Nobunaga wracking their brain for a proper, elegant response. At least that had been her initial thought...right up until they actually opened their mouth.
❝...W-Wha?!❞ Why was this topic suddenly aimed in her direction?! How did she fit into any of this?! The Master had specifically asked one thing! Not used to being the center of attention to this extent, cheeks began to burn as she cleared her throat, struggling to come up with some kind of response. ❝Ah...Nobunaga-sama, I am flattered, but I think the Master wanted to hear your input on, ah...other...things.❞ Things that weren't her, for example! How did Tomoe even fit into this equation? It’s okay. She had watched Yoshinaka’s other wives enough to know that she just needed to gently steer everything back on track---

[ nobunaga, for masamune ] "...Oh? I didn't know that boys were allowed to be running around with weapons. Ah, but who am I to judge... My cute retainer has an intriguing way to handle their troops and, to tell the truth, this development is rather... entertaining. So, Tojiro... make sure to amuse me."
Tumblr media
THIS NOBUNAGA WAS DIFFERENT from the one he knew in his reality, yet the ultimate fact of the matter was this: Nobunaga was Nobunaga. They were still very much a snake in the grass waiting to strike any who so much as lowered their guard around them for even a second. ❝Are you still drinking out of skulls? You always did have bad taste in décor, so I doubt that has changed much since my absence.❞ Tch, taking shots at him already, huh? What a reunion this was. Lips curled, toothy and arrogant as blue eye took a colder sheen, pupil slit like the dragon he was meant to represent. ❝Be sure to keep watching, then. It’s going to be a real PARTY going forward.❞

[ arranged marriage ] The Demon King had sent out an elegant attire, golden jewelry and an invitation for Tomoe to join them for dinner. But if their lovely and deadly wife thought that meant she wouldn't have to see the Demon King until then, she would be oh so wrong. Their entrance wasn't subtle, fire that didn't burn engulfing the room until Nobunaga came out of the flames, but then again they had never been one for subtleness. "Surprised? I realized you might not know how to wear some of these and it would be disrespectful for a servant to touch your horns." They stood behind Tomoe, in front of the large mirror of her room. A smile that was more arrogant than calm adorned their features as they, ever careful, arranged the golden rings and pieces on Tomoe's hair and horns. Nobunaga knew how important were an oni's horns, how much pride they had in them, and how oni of higher rank would polish and adorn them. That's why the Demon King loved to castrate that pride whenever they were slighted by an oni, as death was momentary, and living in shame was a far more fitting punishment. Alongside skulls bathed in gold and turned into cups, the Demon King had a collection of horns decorating one room. "Fierce and beautiful." Strangely cold fingers skimmed over Tomoe's nape as they tied a necklace around her pristine neck. "Tomoe-chan, did you know that there's only one type of flower that grows here? It blooms from the blood and tears of the souls trapped here. You would think that it's the most atrocious flower to ever exist but, I think it's the most beautiful one." The flower of hell, the red spider lily, it was the only flower that could be seen in Nobunaga's domains. "Almost as beautiful as you are." To finish their work, they placed a kanzashi that was made to look like spider lilies on their wife's hair.
Tumblr media
TOMOE WAS NOT ONE for fancy clothing – at least, not to this extent. She lived a rather humble life back at her village, and though others would have been pleased with the ‘gifts’ they were given by the Demon King, she felt…out of place and awkward. How did one even put any of this on? Should she…call for a servant to assist her with it? How aggravating that she had to go through all this to begin with, but alas…it was necessary. She had to play along with the other’s game for the time being until she could find some kind of weakness or opening to exploit. However, that was…difficult…when it seemed as if the person you were trying to murder was basically immortal. The familiar sound of flames sounded behind her, Tomoe not even needing to turn around to know who it was that came to visit her. Impatient, were they? It took a great deal of effort for her to stand still when the desire to quickly turn and keep her back from them with the same caution any creature would have in the presence of something so dangerous, but she managed to keep herself in place. ❝I thought you said that you would wait until dinner to see me.❞ Those were not their exact words, but it was implied, at least.
Ever since she had tried to kill them and managed to cut their neck, it seemed as if the Demon King had been even more interested in her…much to her chagrin. This wasn’t the plan at all, though at least she could continue to live another day; plotting and planning. Standing stock still, she allowed them to slowly slip golden rings upon her horns and adorn her hair with gleaming metal. There was discomfort having anyone who could so easily snap her horns near them, although showing weakness to someone like this demon would have been foolishness. No…Tomoe had to stand her ground – had to maintain her image no matter what transpired. ❝Do you speak of the Spider Lily, My King?❞ she asked, knowing that flower full well. It was a most beautiful shade of red…and yet…the flower itself signified death and rebirth. It was a guide for the dead, thus, it made sense that it would grow here amongst these poor, suffering souls…even as it drank in the blood and tears spilt. When the flower was presented to her and slipped into her hair, she wondered why it was this flower chosen for her aside from its beauty. Was there some deeper meaning?
     ❝…I see. You flatter me.❞
That seemed the polite thing to say.

[ for masamune ] "Oh? To think there would come the day in which you required my aid." The Demon King smiled, amused seeing the weakened state of their dear 'ally'. They were carrying the unconscious mage over a shoulder, unbothered by their retainer's insolence as it had indeed been a tough battle with various casualties. "Unfortunately I can't carry you so you'll have to stand on your own, but since I, Oda Nobunaga, am such a magnanimous being..." The Avenger materialized one of their golden skull cups and allowed their own blood to fill it. "Ah, but you wouldn't wish to be in debt with the Demon King, yes? Then, as payment for my benevolence..." They gave no further warning before slipping their fingers under Masamune's eyepatch to push the fabric out of the way. Then they leaned down and licked the man's blind eye. "I'll be taking my dear retainer to their tent and once they wake up, we'll be discussing new strategies. Do not make me wait."
Tumblr media
MASAMUNE LOVED CHALLENGES, BUT the monster he had battled was far stronger than he had initially assumed. Arrogance was the real reason for why he was currently struggling to stay on his toes, the young lord too proud to allow his knees to touch the ground in the presence of a certain Demon King. ❝Shut up… I don’t need…your help.❞ He shot them a glare, words dripping with venom as his single eye glared intensely in their direction. However, as they approached, as much as he willed his hand that still firmly gripped the hilt of his blade to move, to slice that pristine cheek on the other’s face just to mar it in all its inhumane imperfection, his body was far too exhausted to put up much of a resistance. If he tried to strike them, they would just laugh and infuriate him all the more. Besides… His attention shifted to their Master, the poor mage passed out from overexerting themselves as well. If there was one thing he appreciated about them, it was the fact that they were willing to be on the battlefield with their Servants rather than hiding behind something or giving orders in the distance.
     A good retainer.
❝Stop talking and leave already.❞ He would get back to camp on his own without the other’s unwanted assistance. If he were to ever meet any of his retainers somehow, they’d be appalled to know that he accepted anything from this grotesque excuse of a person. Masamune made a face when they summoned one of those tacky skull cups of theirs, blood filling its gleaming surface and tainting what splendor could be beheld of it. Gross. Deciding they weren’t worth his attention anymore, Masamune had intended on ignoring them so they would be on their way…at least until they moved even closer than before, causing him to nearly stumble in his attempt to intercept whatever it was that they were planning. His one eye widened when his eyepatch was casually moved aside, closed eye, or flesh where an eye used to be, that was normally out of sight out of mind soon licked the way one would their favorite flavor of ice cream. It repelled him, Masamune instantly recoiling and stumbling so far back that he couldn’t keep his balance this time and fell back upon the ground.
Tearing eyepatch completely from his face, he lifted his hand and rubbed at where he could still feel the warm, wet drag of Nobunaga’s tongue and scrubbed as hard as he could just to get rid of that unwanted sensation. His injuries screamed at him, and oh how he felt it all profoundly, but this was just -- he could not believe---! ❝DISGUSTING! I’ll cut that tongue out of your mouth!❞ Well at least he still had enough energy to want to commit murder and bellow with such strength that all the birds must have fled the area in terror. How dare they, how dare they---!!

[ for masamune ] Nobukatsu's noble phantasm was quite useful in the battlefield. And as the weak servant vanished into nothingness, he called out for his sibling... but the Avenger was busy crushing the enemy troops and laughing madly because of their strength boost. But that should be more than enough for a weakling like Nobukatsu, yes?
Once the agonizing voices of the enemy ceased and the hellfire vanished, Nobunaga yawned, once again bored. "It's interesting, isn't it? Even small fry can prove themselves useful if they've been trained well enough. Gotta know how to use your tools, wouldn't you agree, Tojiro-kun?"
Tumblr media
MASAMUNE HAD CAUGHT A glimpse of the fading Nobukatsu; lips curling into a deep frown upon noticing that Nobunaga couldn’t even spare them a glance – anything to show their gratitude to their younger sibling who had given everything to them even in this newfound existence. Disgusting. However, was that not to be expected of the Demon King of Sixth Heaven? The one who had used their own children, their own family as tools towards bigger and better things? He could still recall how Nobunaga had used his sister, Oichi, uncaring of how anguished she was upon seeing her husband killed on the battlefield. To him, she had been a tool to keep that clan under watch just as much as they too were just pieces on a board to be discarded just as easily. Six blades were soon placed back into their sheathes once the battle was over, but his single, piercing gaze did look elsewhere but at the demon in the distance. ❝Tch, tasteless.❞ Never would Masamune ever look upon his followers nor his retainers as mere fodder to the flame. Just the very thought made him want to run the other through.
He didn’t take his blades out, though.
As difficult as that was, he stayed his hand if only because of the promise he made to the Master about not attacking allies. ❝No idea why your brother is even loyal to you. I would have skewered you on the battlefield a long time ago.❞ Family or not. He’d deem Nobunaga too dangerous to keep around just as the other retainers of the former Oda had felt the same for many reasons. Too bad none of their scheming amounted to anything, however. His hand came to rest upon the hilt of one of his blades, so tempted to draw one as fingers brushed along the outline. Temper, temper...

[ arranged marriage au. ] "Woman, your insolence amazes me." The Demon King laughed as they passed a thumb over the slash on their neck, cauterizing the wound so they wouldn't bleed more. Soon a hand was raised to stop their guards from immobilizing their wife, a wife that had just attempted to murder them. It didn't appear to bother Nobunaga at all. In fact, it pleased them. "If you dare lift a weapon against my wife, I'll incinerate you to the point that your soul won't return to the cycle of life," the Demon King threatened the guards and servants with a smile. Then, their gaze fell on their lovely wife, their beautiful... "Tomoe-chan... As deathly as you are, I hope you haven't forgotten that you're an offering for the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven... Even if you're poisonous, that won't stop me from consuming you whole."
Tumblr media
TOMOE COULD HAVE SWORN that she had used enough force to behead the Demon King, and yet, here they were, still standing, and still so insufferable. How many wicked beings had she killed to protect her home? Many. Despite being partially a demon herself, she wanted very little to do with that part of herself and actively did her best to live as a normal woman…or as normal as she could considering her circumstances. If she protected others, then surely that would mean something, would it not…? But for all her preparation, in the end, Nobunaga was on a completely different level from anything she had ever encountered. The name ‘Demon King’ was clearly not just a moniker. They were the real deal in every since of the word…and though she had realized that, seeing how easily they had survived her attack and casually healed themselves without a care in the world, it showed just how far away they truly were. The Demon’s guards made to subdue her, Tomoe prepared to cut them all down if they so much as dared place even a single finger upon her, and yet…that never came to be.
     Nobunaga’s word was law.
None would dare go against the Demon King lest the other make good on their threat, and they always did. ‘Tomoe-chan…’ Oh how she loathed this way they addressed her. Lips pressed into a thin line, her weapon soon slipped back into its sheathe. She would have to find another way to deal with this demon since traditional methods clearly would not work. If she was going to take their head, it had to be in one cut. However, how was she to do that when their skin was like armor? Someone in the past had to have killed a demon as powerful as them before. She just needed to find something, anything, that could be used as reference. ❝I was the one who offered myself to begin with, so do not compare me to the other maidens whose lives were forfeit, Demon King. I am nothing compared to them.❞ She would consume the other first. Tomoe was not some smitten human who desired the other’s power, nor was she a victim given by a village as a sacrifice to turn the other’s gaze away.
     Prey didn’t approach predator.
She hoped the other remembered that.

[ for tomoe ] One moment the demon king was talking with their 'retainer' about the last missions and how the mage should leave the ugly decisions to them... and the very next second they were leaning down and biting lightly Tomoe's cheek. There was no warning and no explanation for their senseless actions. They didn't even give the Archer time to recover as they were already back to their intriguing conversation with Chaldea's master. The only proof of their senseless behavior was the teeth marks now adorning previously unmarred skin.
Tumblr media
TOMOE HAD BEEN WAITING patiently for her turn to take to the Master, although it seemed like Nobunaga had a great deal they wanted to discuss. Perhaps she should return at a later time? Oh, but sometimes the Master was so busy that it was difficult to find time to ever have a chance to talk to them, most especially when various Servants snatched their attention away before one could even blink. For a moment she glanced away, her attention falling elsewhere as words droned on and on in a way that made her temporarily forget the most important thing for any warrior: situational awareness. Her guard had dropped far more than she would like to admit, so much so that even Nobunaga, who was atrocious at any kind of stealth (mainly because they didn’t bother to hide themselves to begin with), managed to get close to her. Teeth sank into her cheek, a gasp of surprise slipping from her lips as she jumped nearly ten feet back. Hands instinctively made to reach for the blade by her side, but upon realizing who it was that had just…casually chomped down upon her skin, she stood there, dumbfounded.
The Master looked equally horrified and confused as well by what had just taken place right before their very eyes. ❝L-Lord Nobunaga?!❞ What was that even for?! Why were they going around biting people of all things?! Hand resting upon her cheek, she clicked her tongue and sighed when she felt the faint indentation of teeth. It hadn’t been enough to leave a mark, but it was certainly enough to be seen for a bit before it would disappear. None of that made remotely any sense, and try as she might to try and comprehend the other’s actions, at the end of the day, she was once again, left perplexed.

[ nobunaga, c.yberpunk v. ] On the security cameras, a laidback young man showed up unannounced at the front door. He didn’t have any weapons or dangerous cyberware on him. The youth laughed it off when the guards confronted him and pointed their guns at him. A few words came out of his mouth, a red screen with a golden logo was shown, the identity was verified, and the attitude of the guards immediately changed and he was allowed inside without further issues. There was only a handful of people that had the privilege to just waltz inside the home of a Fixer. One of them happened to be Nobunaga, who was paying a visit to the Fixer in one of their many custom proxies.
They yawned and stretched their arms once they finally got to the room where the Fixer was. “Your security is as tight and efficient as always.” That was rather annoying because that meant they couldn't surprise the man like they often did to their subordinates and colleagues. The face of horror and shock people made once they learned they had been talking back to Nobunaga of all people was simply priceless. “Ha? What’s with that look? I thought you would be thrilled to see me after such a long time. It wasn't easy to squeeze the time to make it happen.” Once Nobunaga was near the large couch, they allowed gravity to do its thing and lay down with their hands behind their head. “Arasaka has been suffering loss after loss for a while now. To whom do I owe the pleasure?”
WHEN HIS SECURITY CAMERAS instantly zoomed in on his ‘guest’, he only needed to see their appearance for a moment to know exactly who they were. None would be so brazen as to visit him like this no matter their situation for wanting to speak. He was the one who controlled how his meetings would go, Ozymandias’ rules so strict that none would dare earn even an iota of his ire. However, there was a certain CEO of Tsunami Defense Systems that just liked to do as they pleased one way or another. Their seemingly laid back attitude could put many at ease, but Ozymandias knew better. Leaning back against his seat, he clicked his tongue, lifting his hand and pressing his communications button.
❝Sir?❞ came the voice at the other end, voice deep and professional.
     ❝Continue your duties.❞
There was silence for a moment before an ‘affirmative’, the guards putting their guns away and moving out of Nobunaga’s path so that they may continue unhindered. Ozymandias’ doors slid open automatically, whatever he had been looking up on his computer temporarily placed to the side for now since he was going to be ‘entertaining’ company for a good while. ❝Another one of your proxies? Well, it would have been a surprise if you had come in person.❞ Hands clasped in front of him, golden eyes watching Nobunaga with quiet contemplation. Huh…for what reason have you come to see me this evening? They were prone to coming whenever they so wished, always putting his men on edge in that brief moment until Nobunaga’s identify was verified and they were given permission to go further inside. Huffing at the other’s teasing remark about his less than thrilled expression, Ozymandias’ nearly waved his hand as if to brush aside their words.
Tumblr media
It was when they spoke next that his lips nearly curled into a smirk. ❝Mmm…I do not quite know what you mean. Has something been happening to the Arasaka Corporation? I had heard that they were having issues, but even so…I only get so much information through the grapevine.❞ He turned a bit on his leather swivel chair, gaze flickering to his computer screen as a news article flashed on his screen with but a press of a button. ❝Ah...such a shame about one of their promising employees being involved in such a major information leak. I suppose they will not be working for anyone after all of this.❞
