me slowly sliding to the floor: i just think its really interested how zoe WAS infected by evie like she could still ‘heal’ like her family but she wasn’t totally far gone, maybe because she was always a loner and didn’t immediately latch onto evie or was quick enough to avoid being forced into it like jack forced lucas into it and since she got away first, she had this hope that she could still get out of it, that there must be a cure but it wasn’t until ethan that she had a real shot of being saved like this was three years since it first started so she was definitely at the end of her rope at this point but then holy shit this could really be it he could do it and then the serum is made and then OOF it all comes crashing down, he uses it on mia instead and zoe like.....she understands his reasoning, that’s his wife but it’s still heart breaking for it and THAT’S how evie finally got a solid grasp on her because she lost all hope and was absolutely done

wiki says zoe was born in 1994 so in doing some math (ew), she’d be 22/23 when re7 came out and she mentions that she was stuck with her infected family (plus the other infected) for three years so she was 19/20 when it first started and that’s so fucking sad????? like she was already a loner beforehand, just wanting to get out of this swampland she lives in to get her own life and after??? imagining a life outside of constant survival was something she could barely comprehend for three years so it’ll be hell trying to get back into a ‘normal’ routine
