Stella giggled as she watched along to the TikTok video, her feet absentmindedly kicking in the air as she laid on her stomach in her bed. The video showed a girl trying to wrap her boyfriend's chest with a ribbon to make a bow. It was simple but it was adorable and now all Stella could think about was trying it out on her own boyfriend.

Stella liked the TikTok before shutting off her phone and dropping it somewhere amongst her few plushies and pillows she had on her bed. She lifted her jaw that she had rested on her hand and tilted her head back to look at Rutger who was sitting at her desk, his laptop in front of him and his headphones on his head as he worked on his homework.

He was wearing one of his gray compression shirts that drove her wild, to the point where Stella had playfully banned him from wearing them around her because she was afraid, she wouldn't be able to ‘control’ herself around him. Rutger wore them anyway . . . he loved her stares.

Stella bit her lip as she watched her boyfriend who was oblivious to her stares, his shoulders flexed as he quickly typed his paper and his head occasionally bopped along to the song, he was listening to through his headphones . . . it was probably a playlist she had made him. It wasn't fair how effortlessly attractive he is.

Stella sadly tore herself away from her thoughts of her boyfriend's very . . . very muscular shoulders and quietly slipped out of her bed. She felt the cold air of her dorm hit her bare legs as she left the comfort of her warm blankets to distract her boyfriend. Stella wrapped her arms around Rutgers shoulders and leaned down to rest her chin in his shoulder, she felt her ⸺ his shirt rise up, she shivered feeling the cold on the back of her bare thighs.

Rutger smiled and paused his typing, tilting his head to face her while he took off his headphones, setting them next to one of Stella's many sketchbooks that were stacked on her desk. “Hi pretty girl” he whispered before he placed a quick smooch on her jaw, Stella smiled and placed her own kiss on his jaw before whispering back “so . . . i have this silly idea.”

“Oh? say more” Rutger turned around in her spinning chair to face her, his hands moving to her hips and bringing her to sit sideways on his lap while one of her arms were still wrapped around his shoulders. Stella smiled as she made herself comfortable in his lap, she fit perfectly against him. “Can I wrap a bow around your biceps for a TikTok?” Stella asked him quickly.

Rutger couldn't help but have a chuckle of shock leave his lips at the strange request, but he could never say no to that pretty face, so he smiled and quickly pecked stella’s lips before saying “get your ribbon” Stella almost squeals in happiness, quickly placing a big kiss on Rutgers cheek before hopping off his lap and rushing over to her bedside table, opening the bottom drawer that had some of her arts and crafts supplies.

Rutger bit his lip and leaned back in her chair as he watched her lean down and look through the supplies, giving him a good look at her panties. A hum of success leaves her lips as she pulls out a pretty pink ribbon, quickly turning back to face him as she holds it up. Rutger quickly looks up to her face and he smiles “Where do you want me?”

“Just stand here and look pretty” Stella winked as she motioned for him to stand in front of her. He got up from her chair and stood where she wanted him to, watching as she got on her knees on her bed to look for her phone that got lost in the blankets and pillows. “That just so happens to be what I'm best at,” Rutger jokes, smiling when Stella giggles. Rutger stopped himself from grabbing onto Stella's waist and pulling her against him, once she found her phone and stood in front of him.

“Would you mind holding this for me you stud?” Stella teased him playfully as she held her phone out for him to hold so she could tie the ribbon into a bow. Rutger felt his lips twitch into a smirk at the nickname Stella loved to tease him with, he grabs her phone and slides it into the pocket of his sweatpants. Stella smiled and grabbed one of his arms, wrapping the pink silk ribbon around it, humming along to the song that was playing from the TikTok she had watched.

Rutger watched Stella with a fond smile as she tried to smooth the ribbon around his bicep so the bow would be pretty and neat. Her fingers were so gentle as she tried to tie the bow, he didn't understand why it drove him so crazy. Stella looked up from his bicep when she felt him flex under her touch, she looked up at him through her eyelashes “Stop flexing, I can’t tie the bow.”

“I’m not flexing . . . i guess I'm just too muscular for your ribbon” Rutger smirked as he shrugged his shoulders, pretending like he totally didn't flex his arms so she could feel his muscles. Stella rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's antics before letting out a giggle when he flexed again as she tied the bow “I can literally feel you flexing” Stella rolled her eyes again when she saw the bashful smile on Rutgers lips.

“Save the flexing for the video sexy” stella gave Rutger a wink, teasingly placing a kiss on his shoulder right above the pretty pink bow. Rutger bit back a groan as he felt her slip her hand into his front pocket to grab her phone, her hand teasingly lingering near the inside of his thigh for a few seconds before pulling her hand out and acting like nothing happened. Rutger chuckled and shook his head in disbelief as he watched Stella unlock her phone and find the perfect audio. She knew what she was doing.

“What?” Stella asked Rutger as she looked up at him, batting her eyelashes innocently as she pretended to be oblivious. Rutger smirked and crossed his arms over his chest, he felt the bow tighten around his bicep and he held in a wince at the tight pressure. He watched as your eyes dropped from his face down to his arm, eyes widening slightly at the sight. Rutger clears his throat and gives stella a smirk when she quickly looks up at him, her cheeks flushed as he spoke “Are you gonna keep staring or are we gonna film the TikTok.”

“Cause if not, i have an idea of something else we could film” Rutger smiled as he leaned his face closer to stella’s, this wasn't the first time Rutger had hinted at them making their own home movie . . . stella was always worried about their iClouds getting hacked . . . but stella had a perfectly good camcorder they could use. Rutger gave Stella a toothy smile when he noticed her breath hitch and the shy look that comes across her face at the thought.

“Shut up and stand there please” Stella shyly mumbled as she grabbed her boyfriend's arm and moved it so it wasn't folded across his chest, her cheeks were burning, and she felt her heartbeat faster under Rutger's gaze. Rutger didn't look away from Stella's pretty eyes as he let her move his arm however, she wanted. “I love when you're so demanding. '' Rutger decided to close his mouth when Stella looked up at him with a heated glare, but he could see that his words were starting to affect her.

Rutger kept his mouth closed as Stella started to film, he could hear the familiar sound of Lana del Rey playing from her phone. When he noticed Stella started to zoom in, he lifted his arm up and flexed, a gasp leaving Stella's lips when she heard the rip of her ribbon before it fell to her floor. Stella stopped filming, deciding it was long enough already, and before she could complain about her ripped bow Rutger was putting his hands on Stella's waist, pulling her flush against him as he leaned down to whisper in her ear “Wanna see something else wrapped in a bow?”

“But your homework!” Stella exclaimed as she put her hands on Rutgers chest and softly pushed him back from her neck he was about to kiss. Rutger chuckles and slides his hands down from her waist and to the back of her thighs, effortlessly picking her up and moving to drop her softly on her bed. Stella giggled and moved her hips a little to get comfortable before Rutger was swiftly moving between her legs.

“Consider it as helping me study my anatomy” Rutger breathed out before leaning down and taking her lips into his in a passionate kiss. Stella let out a sound of surprise at the rough kiss, but she was quick to kiss back, her mouth opening and his tongue smoothly sliding into her mouth as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Stella softly tugged on the hair at Rutgers' nape as his hands traveled her sides. Stella pulled away from the kiss to whisper as she caught her breath “You don't take anatomy classes?”

Rutger smirked and slid one of his hands under her shirt, his warm touch sending shivers down Stella's spine as he softly moved his hand up her side. His thumb teasingly resting under her boob as he stared into Stella's pretty eyes. A smirk makes his way across his lips when he sees the look in his girlfriend's eyes. His homework was long forgotten in both of their minds.

“I do now”

It was a horrifying sight, to watch as your boyfriend gets slammed into the ice, only to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. And that’s exactly what Stella had to go through, feeling completely useless and scared as she stood up from her seat, tears were already rolling down her cheeks as her friends tried to reassure her that he's going to be fine. Stella couldn't focus on her friend's words, or the loud screams and shouts coming from all around the rink, all she could focus on was getting to rutger as soon as she could.

Stella was silent during the car ride to the hospital besides the small sniffles she let out, she couldn't stop crying since they left the rink. Stella was quick to respond to all the texts from Rutgers mom, letting the worried mother know that she was already on the way to the hospital and that she would keep them updated until they could make it to the hospital themselves.

When Lily pulled into the hospital, the trio rushed into the hospital looking for the room rutger was in. Lily led the way, a panicked Stella being guided by Carmen who was holding her hand, doing her best to reassure her best friend. The image of rutger slamming into the ground, the look of pain on his face and him being on the stretcher kept on flashing through her mind. She would never get that image out of her head.

After asking a receptionist for directions and a quiet elevator ride, the trio of girls stood in front of Rutgers room. Carmen brought up to Stella that she and Lily would go find a vending machine and get some snacks, so the couple would be alone for a little bit. “It's going to be okay Stella, we'll text you when we're on our way back” Carmen smiled at Stella, squeezing her arm reassuringly before her and Lily walked down the hallway to find the vending machine.

Stella turned to face the door, her eyes looking at the plaque that had the number of the room on it. 204. Stella let out a nervous and deep breath before she softly knocked on the door to alert that she was coming in. Stella slowly opened the door and peeked her head into the room, her eyes immediately being drawn to the bed in the middle of the room. Rutgers eyes are lifted from his phone where he was trying to text Stella with one hand and to the door, when he hears the knock and the door open.

“Whoa whoa don't move so fast I ⸺ ” Stella quickly spoke as she rushed to rutgers side, one of her hands moving to his bare shoulder while the other was on his chest, softly stopping him from fully sitting up in the hospital bed. As soon as rutger had seen his girlfriend he had quickly moved to sit up to move closer to her, a look of pain decorating his face at the fast movement. Stella spoke softly, her tone showing just how scared she was for him as she continued speaking, tears brimming in her eyes at the sight of rutger “I’ll come to you.”

Rutger moved his arm that didn't have the iv in, up and rested his hand on top of the one Stella had on his chest, softly grasping it in his hand and bringing it up to his face; leaning his face into the soft skin of Stella's palm as he slowly leaned back in the bed. Letting himself relax now that she was here. Stella looks away from rutger when she hears the sound of someone clearing their throat and it was then when she realized they were not alone. “I’ll give you guys some privacy, I'm gonna go call coach ⸺ Tell him the news” Brain, the head trainer for the hockey team tells the couple, giving them a small smile before leaving the room.

Stella looks back at Rutger when she hears the soft click of the door closing, and she drops her bag into the chair that was by his bed and moved even closer to him, a few tears slipping out of her eyes and rolling down her cheeks as she really takes in the sight of her boyfriend in the hospital bed. Rutger looks up at his girlfriend and his heart clenches in sadness when he sees the tears “I’m okay pretty girl, please don't cry” rutger mumbled as he used the hand, he was holding to pull her closer, letting her sit on the edge of the bed.

“I was so scared rut, seeing you down on the ice . . . seeing you get pulled off on that stretcher” Stella sniffed as she shook her head, trying to shake the image out of her mind. She has seen her brothers and her friends getting hit and injured during a game, but this time it was different. The fear she felt was different . . . she never wanted to feel it again.

“Hey ⸺ Hey, feel” Rutger quickly cut stella off, he could see the wheels spinning in her head, she was starting to panic the more she thought of it. Rutger moved her soft and cold hand from his face to his bare chest and rested it over his heart, letting her feel the rhythmic beat of his heart. “See it's still beating, I’m okay stella” he whispered reassuringly, his eyes not leaving hers.

Stella nods and brings her free hand to wipe off her tears and the small trace of mascara on her cheeks, she tries to give him a smile but rutger can see right through it and her quivering lip didn't help hide her true feelings. “C’mere pretty girl it's okay” rutger whispered as he gently pulled her down to lay on his chest. Stella closed her eyes and let herself relax against her boyfriend, the rhythmic sound of Rutgers' heartbeat soothing Stella and helping her calm down.

Rutger used his free hand to softly play with Stella's hair, knowing that it would help calm her down. He hated seeing stella so upset but it also felt a little nice seeing how much she cared for him ⸺ such a weird feeling he didn't know how to explain. The couple stayed like that in silence for a few minutes, just taking in the feeling of being in each other's arms again. But when Stella felt that familiar uncomfortableness in her back from leaning down for so long in an awkward position, she knew she had to sit up.

Stella sat up and softly pulled her hand out of Rutgers gentle grip, she brought both of her hands up to her face and wiped away any tears and mascara off her face. She let out a heavy sigh and looked up from the hospital floor, giving rutger an embarrassed smile . . . she hated crying in front of people ⸺ which does not work in her favor since she's quite the crybaby.

“m’sorry” stella whispered with her adorable bashful smile, her fingers were nervously fidgeting in her lap. Now that she had calmed down the self-doubt came creeping in, and now she was starting to worry that she had overreacted. Rutger shakes his head softly with his own smile, reaching his hand up to softly take Stella's eyelash off her cheek. He held it out in front of her and whispered back “Make a wish.”

Stella couldn't stop the loud giggle to escape past her lips when she heard rutgers words, she opens her mouth to tell him how silly that is but closes it when she sees the sweet but serious look in his eyes. Stella let out a soft hum and leaned closer to his hand, closing her eyes and softly blowing the eyelash as she made her wish. I wish that rutger will never get hurt again. Stella is pulled out of her sweet wish by the sound of the door loudly opening, causing her to flinch away from her boyfriend at the intrusion.

“Oh, we totally interrupted something” Lily muttered to Carmen as she nudged her with her elbow, noticing the flushed cheeks of the couple. Lily had to stop herself from giggling at the small glare rutger sends her for running there moment. Carmen's eyes widen and she gives the couple a bashful smile as she holds up her arms that were filled with many kit-kat bars, her sweet voice breaking the silence “We got your favorite rutger!”

Stella stepped back from her phone, a mischievous smile on her lips as she made sure that it was in fact filming. Her phone stood on a long bookshelf next to the tv, leaned up against a book she was sure none of the boys in the house had even lifted up once. Stella turned to look at her boyfriend who stood next to her, a bowl of cereal in his hands as he looked at her with a curious smile.

Stella cleared her throat before looking back at her camera, trying her best to have an intimidating look on her face without breaking out into giggles. “You want to get to him, you gotta get through me first” stella spoke confidently as she pointed between her and rutger. Rutgers eyes lit up at the confident tone she was using, happily surprised with how hot he found her being possessive over him.

Rutger doesn't take his eyes off hers as she gets on her tippy toes, leaning up to place a kiss to his lips, just as he fluttered his eyes close at the touch, she was pulling away. It was too quick for his liking. Stella smiled up at him before stepped back, her hand on his shoulder as she looked back at her camera, with a big smile “Best big brother ever.”

Rutgers eyes widened and his jaw dropped, thankfully he had a tight hold on his bowl or else he would have dropped it in shock at his girlfriend's words. Ethan and luca who were sitting on the couch behind them can't help but break out into a fit of laughter at the situation in front of them, God the look on rutgers face was hilarious. Rutger takes a step back from stella who's watching him and trying not to break out into giggles at how he's shaking his head no “No, no, no”

“I am not her brother!” Rutger exclaims loudly, shaking his head no as he looks at the camera and then back to Stella who finally lets out a laugh at his reaction. Holding her side as her head tips back in laughter, her knees almost going weak at the wide-eyed stare rutger was giving her.

Luca exclaimed jokingly from the couch between his own laughter “Awe aren't you guys just the cutest siblings.”

“Shut it luca” rutger hissed as he glared at him, looking back at stella and giving her a concerned look at how hard she was laughing . . . he was so confused. Stella rested her hand on ruts shoulder so she wouldn't fall over from laughing and he moved to hold his bowl in one hand while the other held onto her waist.

“Yeah, luca be careful, he might beat your ass for calling his sister cute” Ethan was quick to chime in, a teasing smile on his lips as he sent rutger a wink. Stella calms down from laughing and wipes at her wet eyes, she squeezes rutgers bicep and smiles at him “it's just a TikTok trend baby . . . god you should have seen your face.”

Rutger rolls his eyes playfully and bites his lip, of course it was. Rutger smirks and he looks at Stella up and down before saying “Is it too late to say how hot it was seeing you so possessive?”

Stellas cheeks immediately go red at his words, flustered under his stare, and it didn't help that luca and ethan started wolf - whistling at the couple, loving to tease them. Stella softly pushed rutger away from him making him laugh loudly as she quickly grabbed her phone.

The last thing the video films is stella’s obviously red face up close to the camera, with ethan, luca and rutger laughing in the background as she whines shyly before she stops the video “Oh my god rut stop.”

I feel like Stella posts that when she’s feeling extra bold ! She definitely got some encouragement from her bestie Lily. She was just feeling all pretty, because she was dressed up for a night out with Lily and Carmen. So she posts the TikTok of her singing along to the lyrics in her bathroom.

Feeling extra bold and tagging Rutger in the caption . . . he was definitely blushing, not only because Stella looked absolutely stunning because obviously the lyrics she was lip syncing too !

I feel like turcs would see it first and send the link in the big group chat, that included all the Hughes siblings, Cole, and trevor. He’d be like wtf ??? “How are you so good at that?” Rutger asked his girlfriend as he took a break from stirring the ingredients for some more sugar cookies, letting go of the plastic spatula to stretch his sore fingers from mixing. His eyes were trained on Stella who stood at the island, leaning forward as she carefully piped icing onto the batch of sugar cookies the couple had made earlier.

The couple were alone at her brother's lake house, her brothers, their friends and her parents all out doing last minute Christmas shopping. The house was filled with the wonderful aroma of some Christmas candles Ellen had bought and the smell of the many batches of cookies they had made. If you looked outside the windows, you would see everything was covered with snow. And the faint sound of Christmas music playing from the radio on the counter made the home feel even more lovely.

Stella stood straight and rolled her shoulders to ease them from being hunched over for so long, setting down the white icing bag on the counter and tilting her head to smile at him “Many years of practice, me and Luke were the only ones my mom would trust with helping her” stella scooped up the small drop of icing almost dropping out of the piping bag with her finger, bringing it up to her mouth to suck it off, smiling cheekily at rutger “Quinn and jack always ate all the ingredients.

“You mean they were the ones that would get caught” Rutger laughed as he went back to mixing the dry ingredients, after they added the wet ingredients, he would soon have to use his hands. Stella laughed and moved away from the island, her slippers shuffling against the floorboards of the kitchen as she moved to stand next to him at the counter next to the oven. She leaned against his left side, resting her chin on his shoulder after she placed a soft kiss on his gray short sleeve clad shoulder. Her eyes glanced down at his flexing forearm from mixing before looking up at him with her brown doe eyes “Exactly.”

Rutger looks away from the Christmas themed mixing bowl and to his girlfriend, he gets lost in her enchanting eyes for a few moments before he gives her a small smirk “My sneaky girl” Stella feels her cheeks instantly warm up at the way he uttered his words. He felt his smirk turn to a grin when he noticed the way her cheeks flushed, Stella bumped her hip into his before stepping back from him. She refuses to walk into his trap and decides to go back to working on the cookies, not before landing a nice slap on his ass. Giggling quietly to herself at the sound of surprise leaving his lips.

Rutger turns his head to look back at her, ready to complain how it's not fair that she can slap his ass, but he can't slap hers, she had made it clear before they got to the lake house that they can't be as touchy at the house. Stella already had her back faced to him as she looked down at the island, picking up a tree cookie cutter and a stocking one. “Christmas trees or stockings next?”

“Christmas trees” Rutger picked between the two, knowing that she wants to do Christmas trees next by the way she said it. Stella smiles widely at his choice and sets the tree cookie cutter to the side while she puts the stocking one back in the bag with all the other cookie cutters the family had collected over the years. She cheerfully replies “Great choice” Rutger laughs and starts adding the wet ingredients, making sure to check the laminated piece of paper that had the family sugar cookie recipe. Stella took baking very seriously.

The couple spent the next ten minutes or so singing along to the Christmas music playing, Stella finishing decorating the cookies and Rutger finishing up mixing the last batch of cookies. While rutger washed his hands from the access cookie dough from his hands, Stella started to roll the dough flat on the marble island, struggling to roll out the dough thoroughly. Rutger dry's his hands off with a towel, it of course being Christmas themed. He moves from the sink and stops to stand behind Stella, his chest pressing against her back as he moves his arms around her to take the dowel style rolling pin from her tired hands.

Stella smiles and leans back against her boyfriend, his body heat comforting her, feeling the vibration of him humming along to the song on her back. Stella grinned when she noticed that she didn't have to remind Rutger how thin the dough should be rolled out, he had remembered. She tilts her head to look at his side profile, his eyes focused down as his arms flexed and rolled out the dough. She placed a kiss under his jaw, the action immediately making his cheeks flush.

“What was that for?” Rutger mumbled shyly.

“What do I need a reason to kiss my boyfriend now?” Stella sassily answered him with a question, raising her eyebrow to emphasize her words. Rutger laughs at her sassiness and places a soft kiss on her temple “Never.”

“Oh, I love this song!” Stella excitedly exclaimed, startling her boyfriend for a moment from the loud reaction. Rutger doesn't even have to be asked, he moves one of his arms to let her move out from between him and the island, already knowing what she wants. Stella basically skips over to the radio and turns the volume knob to the right, the song getting louder. The very familiar song “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber fills up the kitchen.

Rutger tore his eyes from the dough and stopped his hands, a grin on his lips as he watched Stella sway her hips and sing along to the song. She looked so pretty she was wearing green plaid pajama pants that matched with his red ones, she was wearing one of his umich sweaters that looked so big on her, and her hair was in a braid, messy from sleeping in it last night. Her face was bare, and she of course had her grinch slippers on her green sock covered feet. God he was so in love with her.

“I love you” Rutger voiced loudly over the music, Stella stopped her swaying and turned to face a dimpled smile on her face. Stella stepped closer to him, rutger not flinching when her cold hands cupped his face, he was already used to her cold touch. They both closed their eyes when Stella leaned her face closer to his, rutger leaning down a little to capture her soft lips in a kiss. He’s welcomed by the taste of her peppermint ChapStick, and he eagerly continues the kiss, wanting to taste more. Before he could let go of the rolling pan and move his hands to hold her hips, she pulled her lips away. Rutger fluttered his eyes open, his eyes staring into hers as she whispered, her tone filled of love “I love you more.”

“We're just missing the mistletoe” he whispered back, his tone playful as he glanced up at the ceiling above them before back down at her. His heart was racing from the kiss, he would never get used to the feeling he felt from kissing stella. Her eyes sparked and she giggled, her tone playful but serious at the same time “Don't worry, I made Quinn buy some. Trust me we will be utilizing it a lot.”

He kept up his playful tone as he laughed out a response “Oh tons.”

“So, what Christmas movie should we watch this time?” Stella asked as she plopped down on the living room couch, in her hand was the remote as she turned the tv on. Rutger followed her into the living room, being careful not to trip over her slippers by the couch and set the two steaming mugs of hot chocolate that they had just gotten finished making, on the snow globe coasters that were on the coffee table. He plopped down on the couch next her, lifting her legs for them to rest over his lap. His warm hands already absentmindedly tracing shapes on her covered legs.

The couple had just put the last batch of cookies in the oven, well Rutger did since stella’s fear of the oven was still very much real!

“We never did finish the polar express last night” Rutger reminded her, resting his head back against the couch. The couple had started the movie, but they were quick to fall asleep cuddled up in Stella's bed, tired from the long day where they played in the snow with her brothers and their friends. Stella hums in response and goes to her profile on max to resume the movie.

Stella pressed resume on the movie and adjusted her position to move closer to her boyfriend, her legs still draped over his lap, now her head resting on his shoulder and holding onto his arm. Stella’s eyes were trained on the tv as he watched the movie, but Rutger couldn't find himself focusing on the movie, instead his eyes were trained down at her face. Stella was so into the movie that she didn't feel his stare.

Rutgers' heart soured with love as he looked down at his girlfriend, thinking of how wonderful it has been being here with her. It was awkward at first, because of the situation with Luke and Jack but they apologized, and Stella made it all worth it. It felt so domestic to be at her home and baking with her, doing family things, he loved it so much. Seeing her so happy with her family and the Christmas spirit she had. He just found himself falling even more in love with her as the trip goes on.

Rut moved his left hand from her calf and moved to cup her cold cheek, gently tilting her head to look up at him. As soon as they made eye contact, Rutger leaned down to lock her lips in an eager kiss, both of their eyes closing as their lips touched. Their lips moved perfectly against each other as if they had been kissing for years, the taste of her peppermint ChapStick flowing through his senses in the best way. Stella was a little surprised by the sudden kiss, but she was quick to tilt her body more to face him better, letting him lead the kiss.

They didn't know how long they had been kissing for, both of them pulling away a few times from the passionate kiss to catch their breath before quickly jumping back into the kiss. Rutgers hands rubbed her sides while Stella's hands rested on his chest and shoulder as their tongues moved against each other, taking advantage of the empty house to make out on the couch without the fear of getting caught. Just as he moved one of his hands under her sweater, she abruptly pulled away from the kiss at the sound of the alarm going off.

“The cookies are ready!” Stella exclaims, quickly moving her legs from his lap and sliding her feet into her slippers before rushing into the kitchen. Rutger groaned at the interruption, throwing his head back against the couch as he caught his breath from the kiss, his mind exploring the thought of them letting the cookies burn and continue. He heard Stella call his name from the kitchen, knowing that she would need him to get the cookies out. He licks his lips tasting her peppermint ChapStick on his lips before getting up from the couch and making his way to the kitchen.

“Coming pretty girl.”

Stella loved the thrill she felt whenever she watched hockey, especially if someone she loved was out on the rink playing. There was just something so special being present and watching the world juniors. She was there to watch her brothers and friends play the years before, and this year she was watching her boyfriend. It was a well-known thing that Stella was quite the cheerleader in the stands, even if she was surrounded by fans of the opposite team she still would cheer for her team. So, she wasn't going to let a half empty arena stop her from screaming her lungs out for her boyfriend and his team.

As soon as she saw the puck go into the net she was up on her feet, jumping up and down as she cheered loudly for her boyfriend who just scored his first goal since his injury. Seeing the grin on his face as he celebrated with his teammates only made her cheer louder. When he scored his second goal, she nearly spilled her soda from jumping to her feet so fast, her throat was already hurting from her cheers and her cheeks hurt from all her smiling.

But she didn't care for the soreness as she cheered her heart out along with the people around her when Rutger scored his hat trick. She had jumped to her feet and cheered loudly, a happy laugh leaving her grinning lips when she saw Rutger point at her from the ice after celebrating with his teammates. Stella giggled shyly and blew him a kiss before sitting back down. Stella was absolutely buzzing for the rest of the game, her smile not leaving her face, she was so proud of her boyfriend and his team.

Stella just couldn't wait until after the game so she could see him. Seeing that big smile on his face and the sparkle in his eyes as he celebrated his goals made her a little emotional as she watched, especially since she knew he was being a little hard on himself for his gameplay. She stood on her feet and clapped as team USA won, and when the game was over, she waited in the stands a little, knowing that they had interviews and things to do after. But after a while she practically skipped to wait outside of the locker room, smiling politely at everyone she passed.

She leaned against the wall and took her phone out of the back pocket of her jeans and started scrolling through her text messages, answering the ones from her parents and siblings who were sending congrats texts to Rutger. “Hey stella” she looked up from her phone when she heard her name, and a smile resurfaces on her lips. Walking up to her was a smiling Frank Nazer and a shy Gabe Perreault following after him.

“Hey guys! Congratulations on your win” Stella greeted frank with a side hug and a sweet smile to Gabe who she hasn't talked much to. They both thanked her, and Frank couldn't help but chuckle at the few sizes too big McGroarty jersey she was wearing, it obviously was one of ruts. “Forget to pack your own jersey?” frank teases. Gabe just stood next to him awkwardly, a little shy and intimidated to be in Stella Hughes company.

“Yeah, and rut refused to let me come not wearing his jersey” Stella laughs as she remembered the conversation they had earlier and the cute pout on her boyfriend's lips when he saw her all dressed up without a jersey on. Stella always wore his jersey to his games, Rutger loved knowing that his pretty girl had his last name on her back in the stands. Letting everyone know she is with him.

“Well don't worry your lover boy should be out soon” Frank teases, the trio say their goodbyes and the two world juniors' players continue to walk away from the locker room. She smiled at Rutgers teammates who left the locker room, most of them saying hi to her. Of course, they knew who she was, how could they not with how much their captain talked about her. Stella scrolled through her phone for another 5 minutes before she heard her name being called by a smiling Seamus, a grinning Rutger following behind him and rushing towards her.

Stella stops leaning against the wall and before she could congratulate her boyfriend and their friend she was pulled into a big hug and lifted off her feet. Stella giggles and wraps her arms around Rutgers shoulders and nestling her face into his neck “You did so good” she whispered between the soft kisses she placed on his neck. Rutger grins at her words and places a kiss on her temple before pulling his head back to look down at her.

“You played so well rut, m’so proud” Stella said with her dimpled smile, bringing one of her hands from his shoulder to cup his cheek, the pad of her thumb rubbing his cheek gently as they stared into each other's eyes. Rutger didn't care that there were people around him, all he could focus on was Stella and the happiness he felt. He moved his hands from Stella's waist and brought them up to cup Stella's Rosie cheeks from the cold, and eagerly leaned down to lock her lips into a kiss.

Stella’s usually not the one for kissing in public but she quickly followed his lead. Her head tilted to the side at how passionate he was kissing her, her other hand moving from his shoulder to his hat to turn it backwards before her hand moved to his nape and softly tugs on his wet hair from his shower. Rutger groans at the feeling and chases after her lips, while one of his hands moves from her cheek and down her back to slide into the back pocket of her jeans and squeezes her ass softly.

“Poor will’s not gonna get any sleep tonight with you two as his neighbor” Seamus snorts as he watches the couple finally part for air. He wasn't used to seeing the couple so touchy like that in front of others, in front of him. Stella has an embarrassed smile on her red cheeks and hides her face in Rutgers chest, she couldn't believe that she basically just made out with her boyfriend in public…in front of their friend. Rutgers chest shakes with laughter, turning his head to look at Seamus with a playful grin “be a good friend and buy him some earplugs?”

Seamus laughs and mutters a quick good luck to Stella before patting Rutger on the back and walking away from the couple. Stella lifts her head from her boyfriend's chest and smiles up at him, her eyes were filled with love as her mind replayed that moment of his scoring his hat trick and the smile on his face, she was insanely proud of him. Rutger looks away from his retreating friend and back to his girlfriend, a shy smile on his lips by the way she was staring at him

“What?”

“I'm just so proud of you” Stella whispered sweetly, leaning up to place a few kisses along his jaw and on his flushed cheeks. Rutgers eyes close at the soft feeling of her kisses, basking in the feeling of her touch and words. He felt a weight being lifted off his shoulders, he had tried his best to stay positive, but he knew before he wasn't playing his best, but today showed him that he still had it. The win, The Hat Trick, was great, but it was even better because Stella was there with him.

“I love you so much” Rutgers voice is filled with emotion and all he wants to do is take his girlfriend back to their hotel room so he could really show her how much he loves her. Stella smiles and places a few more kisses on his cheek before pecking his lips a few times and whispering against them “I love you most.”

“C’mon let's get out of here” Stella grinned as she grabbed onto Rutgers hand and pulled him away from the locker room. Rutger laces his fingers with hers and picks up his duffle bag from the floor and follows his girlfriend. Rutger looks at Stella's side profile, his eyes lingering on her pink lips “Where too?”

“To the closest store” Stella tells him as they make their way to the exit of the rink, Stella sees the confused look Rutger gives her and she gives him a teasing smile as she leans closer to him and whispers in his ear with a wink. “To buy will some earplugs of course” Rutger pulls her closer to his side and eagerly pulls her out of the rink and to the cars, his other hand already trying to pull his phone out of his bag to search up directions to the nearest store.

“Can you finish the game for me please” Stella spoke softly as she paused her game of suika and held out her Nintendo switch towards Rutger, who was watching her play as he rested his head on her sweater clad shoulder.

Rutger lifted his head off her shoulder and grabbed the switch out of her hands. He hasn't played the game himself, but he's watched Stella play many times before. Stella slipped her feet out of her Ugg slippers and brought her knees to her chest before resting her head on rut’s shoulder.

“Does your head hurt?” Rutger spoke softly, not wanting to get the attention of his teammates that sat in the seats around them or wake up a sleeping and hungover frank who had his head resting against the wall of the plane, Stella sitting in the middle seat. Stella mumbled out a small yes and moved her arm to hold onto his bicep, neither of them had gotten much sleep the night before.

“You're really bad at this, you do understand the concept, right?” Stella sassily whispered as she squeezed Rutgers bicep, Rutger wasn't even paying attention to where he was dropping the fruit and next thing, she knew the box overfilled and he lost. Rutger shuts off Nintendo and leans down to grab the case from her carry-on bag that was next to her shoes, to put it away.

“I’m not bad, I just wanna cuddle with my girl” Rutger winked at Stella as he slid the case back into the bag and leaned back in his seat. Stella lifted up the arm rest and adjusted herself so she could comfortably snuggle into her boyfriend's side without the seat belt digging into her.

“Hmm sure” Stella joked as she snuggled into ruts warm side, his arm wrapping around her shoulder and her head resting on his chest. Rutger rubs his hand up and down Stella's arm, while his other hand pulls out his phone from the front pocket out of his hoodie and goes to Disney+ to pick one of the many movies he and Stella downloaded to watch for the flight.

Rutger set his phone in his lap before he pulled out his air pod case out of his hoodie, holding out the opened case for Stella to grab one. After they both slid the air pod into their ear, he held his phone up so stella could see and pressed play, a smile forming on ruts lips when he looked down his nose to see a grin on stella's face as she realized the movie he picked. Tangled.

The couple watched the movie in silence, and it was only 30 minutes in when Rutger felt Stella's head fully drop on his chest, letting him know she had fallen asleep. Rutger places a few soft kisses on the top of Stella's head before continuing to watch the movie, not wanting to turn it off in case it would disrupt Stella's sleep.

His eyes were on the screen, but his mind was looking back on the memories he had shared with her the night before. A day and night he would never forget.

Stella tiredly walks down the hallway leading to her dorm, smiling politely at the girls she walked past. She knew she looked like a mess, she felt like a mess. Her tight bun was giving her a headache, stray hairs poking out and falling down her nape, her body sticky from sweat and God did her feet ache. Today's practice was a lot more intense than the previous ones for the week, she was finding her new routine hard to memorize so that meant longer practices.

Her heavy duffle bag brushed against the hallway walls as she moved to the side to not bump into a duo of laughing girls. Stella lets out a heavy breath of relief when she finally stops in front of her dorm, she pulls out her keys from the pocket of her hoodie that she stole from Luke and swiftly unlocks her door. She's welcomed by the faint smell of lavender and vanilla as she opens the door to her room. She closes and locks the door behind her, slipping off her shoes and dropping her bag on her desk chair. Her feet and shoulder thanking her.

Stella is so tempted to just flop in her bed, hiding her face in her pillows and falling asleep, but she knows she can't. She refuses to get in bed sweaty and she knows that if she gets in bed, she will fall asleep and miss her date with her sweet boyfriend. Speaking of her boyfriend, Stella pulls her phone out of her hoodie pocket when she feels it vibrate against her. A small smile forms on her pink lips when she sees who's calling.

“Hello” Stella's soft voice goes through the phone; the sound of his girl's voice brought an immediate smile to his face. Stella walked into her bathroom and put him on speaker, setting her phone on the counter so she can start pulling the many bobby pins out of her hair and into the small clear holder for them.

“Hey pretty girl, how was practice?” Rutgers' smooth voice fills up her bathroom and she couldn't help but smile at her words, she could tell he was smiling just by his tone. Stella gently took out her hair tire, her hands immediately massaging at her scalp at the feeling of her hair coming out of the style it's been in all day. A quiet sigh leaves her lips as she thinks back on her practice “It was alright, these spins are gonna kill me though. I just can't seem to get it right.”

“Don't say that '' Rutger started and she could hear the faint sound of ruffling in the background, as if he was sitting up from laying on his bed. He could hear her disappointment in her tone. Rutger opened his mouth to continue, his tone sweet and encouraging “if anyone can do this routine it's you, don't be so hard on yourself stell you've only been practicing for a week.”

“It's just so frustrating” Stella mumbled with a pout as she brushed through her hair. Stella didn't like being bad at things, she wanted to be the best she could be, and she knew she wasn't doing her best. Stella looked at her reflection in the mirror, she could see the tiredness in her eyes, nothing a little makeup can't fix. Rutger frowns when he hears how defeated and tired, she sounded, he wished she wasn't so hard on herself.

“I know pretty, hey let's just not think about it for the rest of the night. We can talk about it tomorrow” Rutger spoke in a hopeful tone, his mind already thinking about how he could make tonight better for her. He smiles at the soft okay that leaves Stella's lips, and he listens as she starts talking about her day, chuckling at how passionate she sounded as she complained about the petty argument, she and Luke had in the Hughes siblings group chat. Interpreting herself when a yawn escapes her lips.

And in that moment Rutger decides having a comfy date night in her dorm, cuddled up in stella’s bed, sounds a lot better than having a date in a loud bowling alley. Not tonight, he knew his pretty girl was tired and needed her rest.

“Anyways, that little shit is lucky I’m not there to totally wreck his ass” Stella ended her small rant as she undressed and put her dirty clothes in her hamper. Stella took her phone off speaker and brought it up to her ear, and before he could tell Stella his idea of staying in tonight, she was already talking.

“Okay, well I'm going to get in the shower. I'll see you soon?”

“Yeah, I'll see you soon baby, be careful” Rutger trails off to a worried tone, he would always get worried about her slipping or passing out in the shower. Stella always reassured him that that never happened and that he didn't have to worry about it. Rutger decided to keep his date idea to himself, wanting to surprise you instead.

“I will,” Stella giggled, finding his worried tone sweet. They say there I love Yous and goodbyes before Stella hangs up. Rutger smiles and shuts off his phone before he grabs his hoodie at the end of the bed and putting it on, he grabs his phone, keys, and wallet before leaving his room. He makes his way out of the house and to his car, with one destination on his mind.

It was a known fact that Stella enjoys long showers, so she spent the next 13 minutes in the shower singing along to Mitski and Lana del rey. By the time she got out of the shower, her mirror was all fogged up. She spends the next 10 minutes drying off and changing into a matching bra and panties set and covering her body in her favorite scent lotion.

She was standing in front of her mirror in her bathroom, wearing her beige fluffy robe and finishing the braid in her hair, when she heard the familiar knock on her door. A look of confusion comes across Stella's face, and she quickly pauses her music before making her way to her door. The sound of her cute grinch slippers patting against her floor, Stella unlocks her door and is greeted by a grinning Rutger.

“Rut what are you doing here so early? Am I late?” Stella asked in a worried but confused tone. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if she did take too long getting ready, she always lost track when she was listening to music. Rutger laughed and stepped into her dorm room, sliding off his shoes as she closed and locked the door.

“No, you're not late, pretty, just a change of plans” Rutger smiles, dropping the plastic bag on her bed before he steps closer to her. He softly cups her soft face looking into her tired eyes, a small smile on his lips at the cute pout she had on her soft pink lips. Rutger closes his eyes and leans down, softly pecking her lips a few times. The last one being long and hard, Stella pulling away to laugh.

“Change of plans?” Stella asks as she tilts her head slightly in confusion, her hands coming up to softly hold onto his forearms. Rutger pecks her lips one more time before walking over to her bed and lifting up the plastic bag that was filled with some of their favorite snacks.

“I know you must be drained after that practice, so i thought maybe we could just watch a movie and cuddle” Rutger shyly spoke with a flustered smile. He couldn't help but feel flustered as he told her his idea, it was cute how flustered they got in front of each other. Stella smiled big and watched as Rut set the bag on her side table before sitting on the edge of her bed. Stella felt very moved that he changed their date plans because she was tired. “Awe rut, that sounds perfect.”

“I’ll set up the projector while you change into something comfy” Rutger told her, as he turned on the projector before turning on her laptop and picking a streaming app. Stella walks over to her closet and pulls off her robe and hangs it up on the back of her closet door. Stella slides on some soft hello kitty pajama pants, taking off her bra and putting on a canucks t-shirt she definitely stole from Quinn last summer.

Stella was sliding on some fluffy socks when Rutger asked her what genre of movie she wanted to watch. “Hmm what about a drama?” Rutger looked away from her laptop and watched her with a content smile, she was standing in front of her vanity and putting on some Chapstick. Rutger loved seeing her like this, all dressed up in her pajamas…it felt so domestic, and he loved it “sounds good to me.”

After grabbing her phone from the bathroom, she turned off her room lights and carefully crawled over Rutgers legs, and laid on her side by the wall, joining her boyfriend under the blankets. Her bed wasn't big, but it fit the two perfectly. Rutger was laid on his back, and Stella curled into his side, her leg over his midsection. She rested her head on ruts shoulder as her eyes focused on the intro of the movie Rutger had picked.

Rutger was snacking on his second KitKat, and Stella looked at her boyfriend's side profile with a smile. His eyes lit up as he watched the movie. He was so focused, it was adorable. Rutger felt her stare and tilted her head to look down at his tired girlfriend. A shy smile on his lips “do you not like the movie?”

“No no it's perfect” you’re perfect stella thought as she kept looking at him. Rutger nodded and brought the last piece of KitKat towards Stella's mouth, Stella giggled before opening her mouth and letting Rut feed her. Rutger grinned and kissed the top of her head, as she licked any remnants of chocolate from her lips.

Rutger brought his hand that he fed her with to her leg, caressing the back of her thigh. Stella snuggled closer to him, nestling her face into his neck and losing her eyes. Rutgers hold on, Stella tightens, loving the feeling of her so close to him. After a few more minutes of silence between the two, stella muttered tiredly “Thank you.”

Rutger looked away from the movie and down at Stella, he placed a few more kisses to the top of her head. His hand that was caressing her thigh moves up to rub her back under her shirt, his warm touch soothing her. Rutger would do anything for Stella, he could feel her breathing slow down, a sign that she was falling asleep. He brought the blanket higher, making sure that she was all covered up before whispering.

When Stella invites Rutger over to the lake house during the summer, he’s really excited! He’s already been to the lake house before . . . but this time he was going as Stella’s boyfriend, not just as Luke’s friend. Don’t get me wrong, he is a little nervous, because not only will he be with Stella and her brothers, but also a lot of her brother’s friends . . . Friends that are very protective of the Hughes sister.

But rutger doesn’t let his nerves bother him, he is committed to having a great summer with his friends and his pretty girl. The couple pretty much acts the same as they always do, just with less PDA.

The boys pretend to be disgusted when Stella and rut cuddle on the couch or how touchy they are together, but they all secretly find it sweet. They also notice the small things rut does for her, reminds her to take her medicine, always gets her water so she would stay hydrated, covers the top of her head with his hands when she bends down so she wouldn’t hit it against anything, the way he lets her hide her face during the scary parts of the movies they all watch.

But what really makes them realize they are perfect for each other is the way they are on the boat. The couple is snuggled up together, sharing a drink and some fruit, Rutger reminds her to put on sunscreen and lets her wear his hat or sunglasses. Rutger keeps her company on the boat when they all swim but Stella reassures him that she’s fine on the boat. But what really lets them know that they are perfect together, is the fact that Stella JOINED Rutger in the water . . . Stella very rarely goes in the water because of her fear of drowning, but she trusts and knows she’s safe with Rutger. That really seals the deal.

They are so sweet together and everyone is happy to see how happy Stella is, because she’s never been as happy as she was before she was with Rutger.

Stella and rut have had one pregnancy scare yet! Stella is on birth control (to help with her menstrual cycle, and to not get pregnant)

Because of her anemia, Stella sometimes does have irregular periods. So she wouldn’t be too worried if she missed a period, and she goes to the doctor quite a lot and she always gets checked, so she would find out pretty quickly!

So this time Stella does skip a period, but this time she’s feeling different, nauseous, she’s thrown up a few times (actually from stress) and after lily makes a joke about her might being pregnant it makes her worried, after making an excuse of having to run some errands she leaves , she try’s to get into her doctors but can’t because it’s so busy.

So she secretly buys a pregnancy test and she rushes home to her parent’s house, needing her mom for this. Ellen is happy when she sees Stella home, but quickly becomes worried when she sees how upset she is. When Stella tells her and shows her the test, they make their way to Stella’s bathroom, and Ellen holds a scared Stella while they wait for the results.

Stella is relieved that the test comes back negative, but she’s also very upset . . . and she’s not really sure why. Stella lays in her bed and cry’s, and Ellen asks her what she needs, and all Stella wants is rut. Ellen calls Rutger and tells him to come over and Rutger rushes over and goes up to Stella’s room after a hug from Ellen. Rutger is so worried and rushes to Stella’s side when he sees her crying in bed, Stella tells him what happened and he just holds her in his arms, quietly crying as he listens to her talk, they both were definitely not ready to have a kid . . . but they both were a little bit disappointed??? It’s all confusing and emotional for them really.

Stella is relieved but she’s also really sad because she wants to be a mom, she wants to have a family with Rutger, and before this happened she wasn’t so sure about those feelings and desires, it’s a really sad situation for them both really, and it definitely brought them even closer than before.

Stella and Rutger doesn’t tell anyone, the only one who knows besides them is there moms. But a few people have noticed Stella was not like her usual self a few weeks after that.

Stella and Rutger love being close to each other, there very clingy. Rutger got the idea one day when the two of them were laying in his bed watching pretty little liars on her laptop.

Rutger started placing soft kisses on her neck and whispered the idea of trying it in her ear. Stella’s eyes lit up and she eagerly agreed. They adjusted there position and got comfortable, Stella straddling his lap.

The first time neither of them lasted that long, it just felt sooo good and they couldn’t help but move.

But over time and many times of trying, they got used to it, and it became one of there favorite things to do. Being so close, it was not only sexual for them but also emotional.

Rutger quickly uttered an apology to the two girls he almost ran into, as he rushed down the hallway leading to Stella's dorm room. The two girls looked behind them and watched as he jogged down the long hallway, one rolled her eyes while the other shrugged before continuing their way out of the elevator to leave the dorm building. His heavy footsteps echoed through the hallway, and he was sure that the people on the floor under them weren't too happy about that, but he honestly didn't care at that moment.

Rutger pulled out his keys from his basketball shorts and looked for the key that had a worn-out sticker of a cherry on it, aka his copy of Stella's dorm key that she had gotten him months ago. He is moving quickly as he unlocks and opens the door, being welcomed by the sight of Stella's back to him and the smell of her favorite candle burning. Not only did she have her back to him she also had her pair of green headphones on, both reasons on why she didn't hear him come in.

“Oh, my fuck” Stella exclaims in surprise and fear when she feels two hands on her hips, her first reaction is to push whoever it was away and quickly turning around to face them. Stella had her first up as she turned, ready to punch wherever it was but her abrupt movement is stopped when her fist is grabbed by a very familiar face.

“Rutger what the hell!” Stella shouted as she gently pushed her smiling and now laughing boyfriend away from her, taking a seat on the edge of her bed being careful not to sit on her laundry that she was folding, taking her headphones off, placing her hand over her heart as she tried to catch her breath from the fright. Stella frowned and spoke quietly “You scared me.”

“I’m sorry baby, I didn't mean to,” Rutger cooed as he grabbed her hand that was resting in her lap and pulled her up to stand, opening his arms for her. Stella wraps her arms around rut’s waist and shoves her face into his chest, breathing in his familiar scent. Rutger smiles and wraps one of his arms around her shoulders and the other around her waist, holding her close to him. Now even more eager to tell her the good — no the great news.

“What's got you so smiley?” Stella asked as she pulled away from the hug, her hands resting on his waist and her fingers softly gripping onto the bottom of his hoodie. Rutger had a big smile on his face and Stella had a matching smile on hers, how could she not smile when he looked so happy. Rutger smiles and moves his hands up to cup Stella's face, Stella leaning into his warm touch.

“I got the captain position on the juniors” Rutger whispered, repeating the words over and over in his head. It was the first time he has said it aloud since he found out before practice earlier, Stella being the first person he wanted to tell. A wide grin spreads across Stella's face, her dimples on full display at her boyfriend's words, a squeal leaving her lips “Oh my god Rut!”

“I’m so proud of you I could scream!” Stella exclaims excitedly jumping up and wrapping her arms around Rutgers shoulders and hiding her face in his neck. Rutger laughs and wraps his arms around her waist and lifts her off the ground and spins around a few times, before setting Stella back down on her feet, his hold on her not wavering. He closes his eyes for a moment and just takes in the moment. He had his favorite person in his arms, he was now the captain of the U.S.A junior's team, everything was perfect.

“It's probably best if you don't, we don't want another noise complaint” Rutger whispers in her ear teasingly, placing a few quick kisses on her temple. Stella laughs and gently pushes rutger on her bed, not caring about her laundry anymore. Rutger lets himself fall back on her bed, a small smirk forming on his lips when Stella quickly moves to straddle his lap. Their chests touch as Stella leans down, rutger expects to feel her lips on his but instead he feels her lips on his cheek.

“I’m so proud of you” Stella said between all the kisses she littered all over his face, smiling as he started to laugh from the feeling of her lips all over his face. Rutger moved his hands that were at his sides to her jean covered thighs, his hands traveling up to the mid-section of her back. Stella leaves a trail of kisses down his jaw and neck, rutgers eyes closing at the sensation, his grin still on his face.

Stella pulled her face from the crook of his neck and placed her finger on Rutgers cheek, tilting his head to face her. His eyes flutter open at the feeling of her hands on his face and their eyes meet for a few moments before stella leans down and brushes her lips against his, rutger moves one of his hands from her back and tangles it in his lover's hair as he seals their lips in a passionate kiss. Stella hums in surprise at how fast the kiss progressed but was quick to follow his lead.

Rutger moves his hand that was resting on her lower back under her shirt, his warm hand on her back sending shivers down her spine. Their lips move in sync as stella moves her hand that was on his jaw to his nape, stella pulling away from the kiss and opening her eyes to whisper against his lips “My captain.”

Rutger lets out one of those belly laughs that makes Stella fall even more in love with him every time she hears it. She smiles at the sound and moves her hand from his face, rutger moves his hand that was tangled in her hair to join his other hand on her back, holding her down against him so she wouldn't move. Stella giggles when she realizes what he was doing, she places a few kisses on his cheeks before one soft peck on the tip of his nose.

Rutgers thoughts were still focused on the fact that Stella called him her captain, and the way it made him feel. Rutgers hand that was under Stella's shirt travels down and slides into one of the back pockets of her jeans. A smile on his lips the more he thinks of his new title and the way it sounded coming out of Stella's pretty lips.

“I could get used to that.”
