Best of my muses' costumes - Poll 2 of 2
Yes, as the title says!
If you can, please vote in both polls - take it as having a second vote, for someone else than you chose in the other poll, please. Link to the other poll here!
Okay, now on to the question.
Next here's all the costumes again for comparing them, or for looking at them if you missed them. Links for the bigger pictures of each costume (and some blabber about what I made or thought or didn't like about it) will be put at the end of this post, below a cut.

Power switches. Like, with anyone, even a ‘normal’ human, I just like the concept of like experiencing things from the other’s perspective in rgeards of powers. Even better if mixed with multiple others, that each has the power of someone else but no two have simply ‘exchanged’ powers.

Results of my poll(s) are in!
At the very least 2 people must not have realized/understood the whole "please vote for different people on both of the polls" idea I had - there were 2 more votes on one poll than on the other. It's okay though, I'm thankful for the votes I got!
After some work counting, I have the numbers. I added a vote from someone that didn't get to the polls in time to vote, so if you're doing the calculations yourself don't be surprised that it doesn't completely add up to this here.
We're gonna start with the lowest, because I have a picture for the top three and that'll be below the cut.
Cat, Kage and Sheshe all got 1 vote and thus share the last, 7th place! Hey, at least no one ended without a vote!
Wildfire, Starlight and Mia got 2 votes each, so they are all on 6th place.
Moonshot got 3 votes, which brought him 5th place.
Blackfire and Mar'i ended with 4 votes each, leading them to 4th place!
Now, for the top 3, find those below the cut!
Tumblr media
Place 3, with 5 votes, Lightning!
Place 2, with 6 votes, Pyrrha!
And (unsurprisingly) the winner, with more than double the votes than 2nd place, with 13 votes, Starfire!
Thanks for voting, I'm very surprised Lightning managed to get into the top three, and I had a lot of fun watching the votes - so thank you for being here and part of this!

Wishlist entry coming up!
Blackfire caught someone (a stranger before this happens, or someone on very bad terms with her because otherwise her later confusion wouldn’t be there), intends to sell them (for being a test-object for experiments, or maybe to be transformed into some sort of trophy for someone, or maybe for a zoo of a kind, or for becoming a slave, or maybe for simple killing or sth), but eventually something goes wrong and the situation turns around, with Blackfire being the one caught and unable to get away. The buyer offers the other to let them go if they hand Blackfire over, but they refuse and while she doesn’t understand why they would do that the two have to work together to attempt to get out of this before they’d both be belonging to the buyer.

[[Another reposted thing]]
Things that make the Tyrant-verse* a great concept:
You get to turn your muse around, perhaps try how to manipulate their story without changing it all too much and yet creating a whole different, almost opposite, version of them
All of the friends’ of the muse would stay the same since they would have switched sides too
The whole idea of the bad guys ruling the city, in this case that’d be the Tyrants (and maybe the Tyrants East too?)
The characters/muses we grow to love-hate as villains are actually the few and far between heroes trying to do something against this group of super-powered criminal evil brats
This whole thing can totally be done with muses/groups of other fandoms too, just, mirrored-verses or however to call it, I’m sure you can see how it could be interesting
I guess all I really wanna say is give me other people with Tyrant!verses! It’s such a cool idea and probably awesome and I really need it!
At the moment my muse at the Tyrants would still be Blackfire, see her verse of it (once I get to writing that info-post on here), but I do see it like she’d sooner or later get convinced by some heroes and betray the team (and get chased by them after it fails, and then end up forced to just keep travelling worlds because those that have the upper hand on Earth hunt her, on Tamaran her little brother rules and he had already thrown Starfire into a horrible prison, she definitely couldn’t expect anything else for herself if she went there, and he’s probably sending out troops to search for his sisters or maybe even set out a bounty for them), and probably during the same thing or shortly thereafter, Starfire - perhaps with Moonshot (because he follows her like a puppy anywhere) at her side since he's probably the one to free her from her prison on Tamaran - comes to Earth for some reason and perhaps then sees the fun in the group that the Tyrants are and joins them, so I’d totally have a truly switched scenario there too!
I repeat once more - please consider the Tyrant!verse! It’s a cool thing and it’d be so awesome to have people to play through it with!
*What is the Tyrant-Verse?
Well, I’m glad you ask! It’s a universe that we see for a brief moment in one of the TTGo-comics (the ones following the TT-03-cartoon), and to summarize it as short as I can, it’s one where the roles are reversed! Those that are usually the heroes are the bad guys, and those that are usually the bad guys are the heroes!

Since it's Vday today, and I don't know if I'll even be able to answer that one (non-valentine) ask that I still have in my inbox much less be able to write anything, and even then most likely nothing of the shippy sort - have some blushy icons of my muses because why not.
(Icons below each other bc when putting them next to each other they turn ridiculously huge - giving a cut here bc it's gonna be quite the length)

(some of these blushes of these BF-KK-icons are way too strong but I probably won't be going back to remake them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No blushy-lovey Galfore bc I simply don't have that for him but also never felt the need to have it
(Sadly) no Moonshot or Starlight blushy-lovey-icons either bc I barely have any icons for them at all and idk it's difficult to picture Moonshot blushing

(not a single blushy-lovey icon of Sheshe in my icons of her that I made so far, what a shame - there are a few where she's blushing but it's always in pain so have these instead)

(nothing really that blushy-lovey here either but it'll do - obviously had to include one pic of the IQ-outfit too bc she's just so pretty in there!)

Out of seemingly nowhere, a large double-axe was swung into Blackfire’s way, and she stopped out of reflex only to then meet eyes with another tamaranean. “You will not approach him further,” he spoke, in tamaranean, and she rose an eyebrow for a moment while looking up and down the other. Clearly he was a warrior, and rather old-fashioned too, if his armor and choice of weapon was any indication.
“No way,” she replied after a moment, also in tamaranean, and her voice raising in surprise. “Ggringo?” Of course she recognized him, she had already heard of another tamaranean being around, and did her research on who it was. But it was better to ‘be’ surprised. “Ggringo, is that really you? Look how you’ve grown!”
He narrowed his eyes to her words, and didn’t move his weapon out of her way yet. “I have heard the stories. I know that you are always intending to harm Kori and Ryand’r.”
Shrugging, Blackfire had already expected such a response. “Oh come on. If you’d ask the Gordanians about us, you wouldn’t exactly hear anything good either, would you? It all depends on the point of view.”
Now his weapon was lifted a little bit away from her, though he still held it ready. “Then you are not intending harm for them?”
“Is that all you ever think of? Always those two?” She stepped closer now, one of her hands moving to gently stroke across the side of the blade of the axe, then wandering along the sharp edge of the blade too. “A great weapon. You brought that along from Tamaran, didn’t you?”
Her attempt of distracting him from the topic worked, and Moonshot's posture even relaxed a little as he nodded. “I would never use another weapon unless I am forced to.”
“Of course not. It’s really useful how our weapons cooperate with our energy.” She inspected the blade closely, and hummed a little as she did so. “Infused blades, huh? Good choice.” Now Blackfire gently pushed the weapon out of her way, and Moonshot either actually allowed it or maybe simply was too baffled by her approach as she now touched one of the spikes on his shoulders. “Sharpening them on the regular, it seems. Wise of you.”
His focus stayed on her with any of her movements, but he didn’t actually stop her. “It would be foolish to not do so. A good warrior is always prepared.”
“And what a good warrior you are. I can see that by looking at you alone.” She purred as her hand moved along another spike, then the one on his belt, then the sharp edge of his glove with the broken gem. When she started to trace across the glove, he pulled away the hand along with the weapon that he was carrying in that hand, and she tilted her head. “Sorry. Bad memories, I presume?”
He had immediately moved the other hand to rub over the broken gem after pulling away, and for a moment didn’t answer her. “… No. I… I am not interested.”
Now she pouted, but still didn’t remove herself from being so close to him. “I wasn’t even thinking about that; all I was doing was admiring your armor.”
“Oh.”
Hard to believe he considered himself a good warrior, when he was falling for her words so easily. Still, now that he had avoided it, she was curious about one thing. Pointing at the gem, she asked: “What’s with that? Didn’t like the perfect look?”
He froze for a moment when she pointed out the gem - strangely enough the simple question, the simple attention towards the remains of the stone, was enough to have a mix of fear and panic wash over him. “It wasn’t my choice,” Moonshot uttered after a moment, his face turning away.
“So bad memories indeed. Sorry.” She grabbed his hand in a form of apology, and this time he didn’t pull away. “I’ve got my share of that, too; you’re not alone.” Still keeping his hand in hers, her other hand moved in to gently move across the armor on his chest. Sleek and neither dented nor scratched - clearly he hadn’t fought a real battle in this suit yet. Warrior, right; he might know how to fight and handle most weapons, but he sure didn’t seem like a proper experienced tamaranean warrior. “Now, since you heard stories, I guess that means you already reunited with my sister and our baby brother. How’s it going between you and her?” She was still more or less clinging to his chest, doing her best to pretend to simply be doing it to check out the details of his armor, which of course was not the actual point of her doing it.
“I… she is… there is no going between us.”
“Aw. And that when you’re such a strong, brave, glorious warrior… enduring the terrible times you no doubt have been through, all to return… and she? Did you at least talk to her?” She was as far as basically cuddling against his chest by now, and he only stared down at her, weapon in one hand and the other still in her grasp. Heh. He might think himself strong, or resistant, but Blackfire could sense how she was winning him over. It would take time to reach a good point, but, this was still easy. “Wait, don’t tell me.” A quick finger on his mouth hushed him just as he was about to answer to her question. “Let me guess. You talked to her, wanted to take your connection up where you left it, and all she had in her mind was Earth, and her little friends.” Moonshot nodded, and Blackfire frowned. “Thats so typical of her. You deserve better! You should go, and try to talk to her again. Right now.”
He blinked a few times to those words, and for a moment looked skywards as if considering to start flying over, but then returned his attention down to her again. “I am here to protect Ryand’r from you. I will not simply leave.”
Ah, looks like at least a part of his mind actually is as tough as he probably thinks himself to be. “I thought I explained well-enough that there’s nothing to protect him from. All I want is a little reunion. A bit of talking. There’s no harm in that, is it?”
He took a step away from her, and folded his weapon down to stash it away again. “I will stay close.”
Again Blackfire shrugged, even though deep down she delighted in how easy he gave in to her wishes. “Of course. It’s your choice if watching him from afar is more important to you than being with my sister.” A swift gesture of her hand, and Moonshot moved aside (while slightly growling), making way for Blackfire to hover down and towards Wildfire.

If Blackfire ever were to stay on Earth for longer (while still being herself and having her powers and abilities and all) for whatever reason, she would definitely go into… um, I don’t know the right term. Vlogs, I guess? Influencing? Idk. Something like that. S he would definitely do something where people can watch her do things.
She would very much not mention that she’s an alien, probably pick some earthen alias too to make her being an actual human more believable; and she might start with simple, do-able things, but she’d soon be one to ‘start challenges’ or give ‘advice’ to people on how to do something that’s simply impossible for humans. She would use that she’s more resilient, and for example swallow a cloth-cleaning pod whole and tell people that if they don’t bite it open they can eat them just fine. Or lay herself naked into snow (would gain watchers/attention simply from being naked, probably) and tell people that if they do this for a whole day without breaks they’d never feel bothered by the cold anymore. People would likely die trying to do what she says is fully possible if only they know how to, and she’d have a lot of fun over that.
Another example: “Oh, everyone can lift a car! It’s just that no one uses the right method. First, you need some way to have the car above you, a cliff, a machine lifting it, a superhero friend, who knows. And once you have that, you position yourself right in the middle of the car, raise your hands up - it’s important you aren’t touching the car yet, and don’t look up! - and focus. Focus on your strength, on your arms, and then tell whoever helps you to drop the car. And you’ll be holding it, just like me now - easy!” And she’d continue to twirl the car around a little or something, all too excited for hearing how many people will end up being smashed by cars (or similarly heavy objects).
I could probably continue this list with more examples, but I’m gonna not mention any more, I think I gave enough examples with this.
Also - She would totally pick some random humans she encounters to comment how they totally succeeded with her methods. Maybe some fake-proof images or videos added in, too. She has methods to pay them for doing so, so it’d help increase the fun.

Still not quite sure if this is really “worth” a full headcanon-post, but bringing this one over too.
Kissing for Tamaraneans usually means simply ‘holding the lips together’. There’s no movement to it from their side, it’s literally just the lips staying in contact. It is the only way they learned, so unless they
a) learn of someone how it’s (human-ly) to be done (either by being taught it or by trying it out and learning during the action - the latter would probably require ‘breaks’ during the kiss though to actually explain and talk about it) or b) are like Blackfire and enjoy trying out things, have probably seen someone else do it, and/or go with what the other does without worry or hesitation
they will not immediately reciprocate the kiss in the same way that your muse might do it.

What if, back in the episode Sisters, no one noticed Star trying to leave (and being caught in the process)? She left, with no one (outside of Blackfire, probably) aware that she’s caught they assume that she did leave perfectly well on her own wishing. Maybe she even ‘left a goodbye-letter’, which of course wasn’t really from her, Blackfire wrote it once she noticed that Starfire had left to make the team not go look for her - but how was the team supposed to know that? And basically, no one knows of Blackfire’s… ways, yet, and she’s actually staying with the team, to become a member?
She wouldn’t change her ways, and in the long run it’d probably be noticed, but I’d be very much interested in playing out her sticking with the team some more.
-- This is basically what my verse "Sister Substitute" is made for, and I'd still love to play around in this AU with people!

I posted this on my blog before it became a Multi, but here's a repost because I plan to do that (slowly, over time) with all things.
Tumblr media
Below the cut, you’ll find a rough summary of what I set for myself as Starfire’s (and Blackfire’s) background story, and maybe a few points here and there that I know of the comic-origin and why I’m not taking certain things into my version.
One: Their mother died shortly after Wildfire was sent away/presumed dead. The TTGo!-comics (the ones following the cartoon) said that both parents fell ill from heartbreak after Blackfire negotiated with the Gordanians and made Star become a slave, but that’s not how I see it. I also have no idea what the ‘other’ comics say about this, so I just made my own decision for that. The parents both suffered from grief, after Wildfire was sent away and presumably killed (not after Starfire left, this happened way earlier). The father recovered (enough to stay alive) whereas the mother actually died to the heartbreak.
Two: Galfore took care of them almost all the time after their mother died. Their father was too busy now, both with his duties as ruler and with trying to not give in to too much grief about the loss of his wife (and son). Galfore had been a prominent part in their education and protection before this already - though Blackfire never really listened to him at all - but after the death of the mother, he spent even more time with the two princesses, though his attempts at getting through to Blackfire were still in vain. Again, no idea how the other comics say this (I don't think Galfore even exists outside of the cartoon and the comics that follow it?), but it’s what I chose.
Three: Starfire decided to leave Tamaran on her own. She wasn’t taken as slave from the planet, but she left it on her own accord, with the intention of exploring different worlds. She wanted to see more of the planets, learn about all those different beings and cultures out there, and she knew that it wouldn’t be possible with guards always at her side or when she would have become ruler. Both Galfore and her father didn’t want her to leave for such a journey and without any protection, but in Blackfire she found a reassuring voice. The problem I have with the comic story of ‘she was taken as slave so that the Gordanians would leave the planet’ is basically based on Betrothed: The future of the planet was at stake, and Starfire agreed to the arranged marriage without further discussion once she knew of the consequences that refusing would have. She was willing to do what’s best for Tamaran, without considering much how she herself felt. She wouldn’t be fighting against capture and escaping her captors if it happened through a deal like that, or at least not immediately. Maybe after years or so, once she felt like it was long enough for the deal to end or when she couldn’t endure it anymore, yes, but not right away only as she was first taken. It would put much too high of a risk to Tamaran if she did; because the Gordanians might just as well have simply returned to Tamaran and continued with the war if she refused to be their slave.
Which leads me to four: When Starfire came to earth, she hadn’t been a slave yet. Yes, she was captured by the Gordanians, and I’ll explain the reason and how it happened later, and yes, she was intended to be their prize and slave.  But she had not experienced any slavery yet. She was still wearing perfectly fine tamaranean clothes, and armor. Now, if she would have already had experienced years (or even only months) as slave before this, I’m pretty certain her clothes would’ve suffered through it. And I’m even more certain that the Gordanians would take any armor, any protection against their new masters away from new slaves as soon as they could, so that they would understand their place better. I also think they wouldn’t have allowed her to keep her clothes, to take away all that reminded her of where she actually belonged. Starfire was intended as a slave, but her escape happened during the transport and thanks to the Titans she managed to not become the slave of the Gordanians in the first place.
Five: The reason behind the capture of Starfire The war between tamaraneans and gordanians was still going on, even when Starfire decided to leave the planet for exploring. But she had told Blackfire about her plan before doing it, and the black-haired princess used the night in which her sister decided to disappear for her own plans. She quietly guided a Gordanian through the castle, into the room of the ruler. When the morning began, the tamaraneans found their ruler dead, and the one that was supposed to become the new ruler was nowhere to be found either. So, as the only remaining family member, Blackfire became the ruler. And she immediately called for a truce in the war with the Gordanians, but instead of them winning control over the planet, she called for a rule that allowed the winner of a war to capture any and all inhabitants of the planet that wouldn’t stick to it during the next weeks as their prizes, and slaves. Starfire was probably the first tamaranean they caught, as if some of the Gordanians had already known of the plans of the black-haired now empress before already. They also told Starfire of the death of her father, because they needed to explain that the rule of capturing prizes had been activated. This rule did not forbid escaping from the captors though, so that’s why Starfire did all she could to try and escape. Which she eventually did, and then she headed to the closest planet to find a way to get rid of her handcuffs. This planet just happened to be earth.
Six: After the death of the previous ruler, Blackfire kept being seen as the new ruler. This is, in a way, already explained in the previous point, and I won’t repeat the information here. But I wanna summarize how the rule of Tamaran continued after Starfire’s escape to earth. Blackfire heard that Starfire hadn’t ended up in captivity/slavery, and that gave her enough anger in her subconsciousness that she couldn’t enjoy having what she had always wanted. Instead, she left Tamaran without informing anyone, to go to earth, after her sister, but she took a few detours on the way, both for fun and for the new plan she made. Once Blackfire had left, Tamaran once again stood without a ruler. But since it wasn’t possible to say just what happened to Blackfire, there was no new ruler chosen. Instead, a group of people gathered (heads of certain parts of the government), and they lead Tamaran all together. It was a very unusual form of reign over Tamaran, and it didn’t really lead to much since they rarely ever came to agreements about things, but they did what they could, always expecting that Blackfire might return someday. And she did. After failing to send her sister to prison and ending up in it herself, Blackfire didn’t stay there for long. She broke out soon, and headed back to Tamaran to try and get over the thought that Starfire was happy. She couldn’t though, and that’s why she then arranged the marriage. As for what happened after the marriage failed, it should be obvious when you have seen the episode ‘Betrothed’. Galfore became the new ruler, and is it still.
----
This should be mostly all about it, I’m sorry that this got long but I wanted to try and explain my thoughts to it. If you’re actually reading down here, I thank you a lot for taking the time to go through this! I can work with the comic origin if someone prefers that or doesn’t read my headcanons for stuff, but it means a lot when people actually consider my things.
