Despite being the main character, I hate most Charlie blogs.

Yes hate is a strong word, but the sheer amount that people completely bowl over who she is to make her fit into this “helpless baby at the mercy of Alastor” fanon aesthetic blows me away. Not only do most of them completely erase her queer identity but also? She's not some helpless damsel in distress. She’s a headstrong brat who can hold her own and is extremely resilient. We see her flat out going against Vaggie’s wishes in support of what she wants to do, so what makes you think she would just roll over and completely give herself over to someone for exploitation? 

She’s the Princess of Hell after all, ignoring that fact to make her a helpless pawn in Alastor’s plans is inaccurate but also boring. I think we can be a bit more creative than the “whipped by a hot bad boy” trope. If she and Alastor were a couple, never going to happen other than in your mind and AUs, she would constantly try to fix him. Not only that, but she would infuriate him because in the end she's going to do what she wants as we see her doing with Vaggie.

Also PSA Charlies who only ship with men need to not exist thanks and welcome to my Ted Talk.

Anonymous Asked OOC:  What does it mean to be single ship locked?

If you’re referring to my note on Alastor, it means that I only ship with one Charlie. I’ll interact with them, and I’ll happily play out plots surrounding them, but as far as romantic relationships go I won’t do it. The sheer erasure of Charlie’s queer identity has made me really sick and tired of interacting with the character in general. Because @magnereixn is my wife and someone I know who supports every aspect of the character’s identity it allows for that comfort zone to be respected.

Other characters are free game and I greatly enjoy it as long as that’s not all I do with you. I need a bit of variety after all.
