two. he’s such a Loser woah ...

( written ) fluff ⠀ ✶⠀ five hundred words

after muttering a small thanks when heeseung’s fingers wraps around the handles of your purse and suitcase, you give him a sweet smile when he tells you it’s normal to do so.

you barely exchange a word with one another during the walk to parking lot. the spring’s sun kissing your skin the perfect way, the wind marrying your hair in the perfect way— the silence is neither awkward or boring, and a sense of comfort fills your sense when you are in his presence.

you hold the flowers he gave you, your favorites, mouth falling agape when your eyes land on the car in front of you, “is this yours?” he nods, a fierce smile on his lips, “it’s so pretty ..”

heeseung’s mouth opens and closes almost instantly, as if he fought the urge to say something to you, “i know right,” he says, not looking like he cares that much about the car, gaze fixed on your side profile while you admire the beautiful car.

he opens the passenger’s door for you, telling you to get in with a charming hans movement; showing you the seat with a smile only a real gentleman could ever wear this well. he takes your hand in yours as you get in, making sure that you don’t fall or, even, stumble a little.

a question comes in your head, you look up to him, “since when do you have a car?”

he looks down at you, arm resting on the top of the car; “i’m not a kid anymore ..” he responds, your name falling out if his mouth smoothly while his eyes scans you from up to down. you only nod along to his words and you let out small chuckle as he keeps watching you— he smiles and closes the door.

he gets seated on his side of the car, hands wrapping around the carting wheel. he puts his playlist on, and weirdly, it’s all the artists that you talked to him about. a warm silence sets itself in again, the music into your ears as you watch the horizon from the window.

heeseung breaks the silence after a while, “your boyfriend didn’t come?” he looks at you quickly before focusing back on the road. “what was his name again .. jack? job, maybe? or zack—”

“his name is seungchan, and you know it,” you laugh, shaking your head at his stupidity: the names he has pronounced have nothing in common with your ex’s actual name. “and we are not together anymore, he is dumb..”

you can see heeseung fighting the urge to smile after you announced the new to him, you decide to look out of the window again; hand discreetly hiding the smile growing on your face. he speaks again, “that’s good to ear,” and the silence comes back.
