very sex positive, open about her sexuality and whatnot but in comparison to regular humans, love has low - average libido / sex drive. not necessarily out of disinterest but just because time works differently for vampires (and turned dhampirs) since they're immortal. what seems like a long "dry spell" to most people is nothing to love. that being said, if you're in the mood, just tell them and they'll be down to play too! communication is key!

love hasn't had many partners as one would expect from someone who's been alive for more than 100 years. again, love's libido is pretty average and she spent most of her years in the vampire community that shunned her for being half - human so love mostly kept to herself or her adopted family. most of her sexual activity is during the short periods of time she came up to the human world.

creepy headcanons bc love is a lil creepy

while they're by no means threatening or sinister, there is definitely something off - putting about love. everything about them is too perfect, not just in physical appearance but also the way they move, speak, carry themself, etc. the uncanny valley theory is definitely applied here, but even when there's an instinct to keep your distance, there is also a magnetism as well. people want to be around love, similar to how poisonous animals in the wild will be the most colorful.

love's blood is unnaturally sweet to the taste, something closer to honey than iron. drinking it will give a sort of warm high, you'll crave more and the more you have, the more desperate you get to taste it.

when love sleeps, his breathing and heartbeat slows to an undetectable rate. it's pretty much impossible to wake him; he might as well be dead.

there are times where love forgets how to act human. they forget to breathe, to blink, to have some movements and show signs of being alive. they can become uncomfortably still out of nowhere, as if someone pressed pause on them for a minute, before they suddenly remember function again.

love came for cami years after the murder, when she had nothing left for her except wrath and revenge. cami begged for her life and love turned her — the first and only time in canon that she would damn another human to the curse of vampirism — then dragged her out into the ocean and watched her drown and burn at the same time as the sun rose.

love's senses are so acute, he can sense what is going on in a person's body usually before they can. most effectively would be through tasting their blood but he can also smell and hear the different reaction that goes on. on that note , love constantly can hear and feel the blood traveling through his veins or the air to and from his lungs. he becomes especially sensitive to this when hungry and feels as if his skin and bones is too tight and suffocating him.

i mentioned a while back that i'll be doing a revamp of my vampire lore and having them originally come from fallen angels! the pieces are slowly coming together and eventually i'll update the lore carrd to reflect that but thankfully MOST things about vampires in love's canon will remain unchanged.

love themselves will also be pretty much the same in their main verse as they are still a very young dhampir but i still wanted to highlight some background stuff that'll come with the update!

love's biological father is still what is to be described as an "ancient vampire". however, unlike the traditional / modern vampire, he and the two other ancients were directly created by angels (their act of defy god in retaliation to the punishment of their sins) rather than being reborn. just like before, they're considered monstrous abominations in comparison to the "gift" that is humankind. but this is not to be confused with nephilim! they're different!

love's father is classified as a "vampire" solely due to the need of blood to sustain himself. however, that is as far as similarities go with the traditional vampire of european lore. similar is applied for love themself as a "dhampir".

love's blood is mostly human but not quite. they also don't have the "undead" quality that turned vampires have but have been “touched by death” due to crossing over before (even if it was just briefly). what seems Off about love’s blood comes from the “divinity” of their lineage. most modern day vampires do not have this due to being so far removed from the original bloodline.

eventually when love is old enough, they'll gain extra abilities such as mind control and levitation. this is what gives them the leverage they need to win over the high council in future verse.

future verses can go 2 ways for love okay so: they lose their humanity after losing everyone they ever loved. coming to the realization that they'll spend an eternity being left behind devastates them, leaves them completely hollow. so what do they do?

join the vampire society she had actively tried to avoid during her early life. they shun love for his half-human nature and yet are fascinated by it. eventually love will learn about how vampires work, the structures of their government and their laws. that's when she realizes something; those very vampires that looked down at her were hiding a very specific rule of their government. it states that a seat of power can be seized by anyone... so long as they're willing to kill for it. it is rare— there's a unspoken and (begrudgedly) respected acceptance of the elders within the vampire society— but it can happen. and it does for love who harbors little compassion for authority figures. so love commits the deed in a public dual and wins; much to everyone's surprise. he assumes a seat in the high council which simultaneously makes him untouchable and also puts a target on his back. they become a diplomat for the vampires since their human nature turns out to be leverage when it comes to dealing with the affairs between the two species. and she's almost militant with her reign, far from the warm and bright love park that once lived. but the city love oversees is the first to see vampires and humans living peacefully side by side.

love fucks off and lives his eternity out in a cabin in the woods alone while occasionally eating a hiker that strays too far from the path, unintentionally becoming an urban legend.

after feeding. always. it doesn't matter how it plays out, love will always feel guilty for having to steal someone's blood to survive. even when the other person greets this with nothing but acceptance and understanding, love will never be comfortable with this life they're forced to live. she often feels sick afterwards, a visceral reaction that manifests physically even though it's impossible for her to get sick. hours are usually spent trying to clean the blood off himself as if it'll wash away the act itself, only to do it all over again and again.

love doesn't shy away from express their true emotions, they will almost always be very straightforward! it can be refreshing for some to never really have to question what her motives or feelings are but at the same time, love is extremely volatile emotionally so it can be exhausting or frustrating to keep up with.

fencing, which he was more actively participating in during high school. at first, it was just to gain some foundation in swordplay so love could perform fight stunts without a double but they enjoyed it and even ended up earning a few medals in trophies in tournaments with their team. she hasn't properly practiced in years now but still has her equipment (though it's collecting dust now)!

actually it's rare for love to fake a smile. they're generally a happy person especially around others; it may seem insincere but positivity is contagious and love's usually determined to spread it. it might be a bit ironic considering she is in actor but once the cameras are done rolling, love is very authentic and genuine. he doesn't pretend to be happy or welcoming if he doesn't feel like it. . . i think the closest to faking a smile love will express is when they're reaching the point of starvation but are not in a position to feed and doesn't want to worry anyone around them. but even then, she'll more likely give the excuse that she's sick to escape the situation before keeping up an appearance and potentially endangering people.

love collects dvds, especially old horror ones! they probably have close to a thousand at this point, filling up a entire wall with floor - to - ceiling bookcases in their home, which the clean and organize regularly.

she's into life simulation type games such as s.ims and a.nimal c.rossing, as well as m.inecraft but only in creative mode. love was definitely a pink ds type of kid with games like t.omodachi c.ollection and n.intendogs.

love has a secret account on t.iktok where he never shows his face but will ramble about whatever comes to mind while the camera is pointed at the ceiling. occasionally, you might see a hand come into frame when love getting too excited about the story he's telling but that's the most you can see of him. one story in particular went viral about the time he and his sisters went to a haunted house and love ended up having to carry the younger one out while their older sister took off running and left them behind.

love is actually really good at card games like poker, blackjack and gin rummy! they're very good at recalling / reading cards and as well as people that it almost feels like a supernatural gift (i guess in a way, it is) which ends up being the source of entertainment when people play with them. love doesn't bring it up often just because it doesn't come up in conversations but they tend to use that to their advantage and fake ignorance to get people to let their guard down during games.

she and her younger sister are the big singers of the family despite neither of them having a serious career in the music industry. they both just really enjoy singing and will absolutely go all out during karaoke! there have been a few viral clips of them duetting songs like 'creep' by r.adiohead, 'i have nothing' by w.hitney h.ouston and 'how am i suppose to live without you' by m.ichael b.olton floating around the internet.

there's been times where love has gotten hurt on set because he insists on doing his own stunts. most are just a few cuts and bruises that mysteriously vanish in a few hours but the most severe was when love fractured his ankle when he landed on it wrong. filming was cut short that day but much to everyone's surprise, love returned the very next day perfectly healed and it became a 'crazy story' that love's co - stars will tell during interviews.
