love (unintentionally) views sex as transactional but the only thing they get out of it is (perceived) validation for making their partners feel good lol
#usfw /#︵ ♡ 𝗠𝗨𝗦 ﹕ headcanons ꒱ .ᐟ#i say perceived bc it's like. very shallow. like bby ur self worth should nawt be measured by how good u are in bed#sadly what love learned from being in the entertainment industry for so long is that sex is the fastest way to get someone to like u#yet it's usually very surface level. they've had a lot of fwb type situations bc they're lonely n like#'give them the best sex of their life n they'll want to be around me more'#ofc this is a sex positive household!! but love's approach is very unhealthy and that needs to be acknowledged as well#most of her self esteem relies on her own objectification#random hc i have is that the number of times love's made someone else finish vs the number of times they have is... very imbalanced#bc they dont really care about their own pleasure they get that from tallying up the other person's organism lmaooo#i also half joke that love's one flaw is that he'd cry after sex but it's also partly true IF#he has an emotional connection with the other person first. and comes to the realization that it's about that connection n unity#and suddenly it's different than all the other experience love has had. it'd be overwhelming#and may take a bit for them to get comfortable tbh#idk why i started rambling about this LOL it's just been in my head for the past couple of days#love makes me sad. she's surrounded by love and yet feels like there's a huge part missing#bc sure fans love her. her family loves her. but she DOES want romantic connection as well#and i think that's valid and okay#will i let it happen tho? probably not ehehe

A concept that won't leave me in peace.
Soooo... A previous Six Eyes (SE) was murdered by Kenjaku. Screw the timeline and let's think that he did it while possessing Noritoshi Kamo.
The Gojo Clan declared the Kamo Clan as culprits for the assassination. It sadly didn't go anywhere because the Zenin Clan backed Kamos for political reasons. This made the Gojos seethe.
The 4th SE was born. They grew up long enough to stop Kenjaku again. However, their life was cut short in a duel against the Zenin's clan head. Again, the Gojos demanded reparations. They were ignored as the Kamos returned the favor and supported the Zenins.
Naturally, the Gojos went "Fuck this shit. We're out." And I mean really out. They had all their active sorcerers pulled out from everywhere. They literally burned their bridges by destroying their own compound to hide their traces so no one from the jujutsu society will ever find them again.
There was a great diaspora of the Gojo clans. They set roots in places far away and unexpected by the other clans to avoid further assassination attempts on their precious SE.
The Gojos became a strong-knit family after the complete disregard for the death of their leader twice. Even if they were apart and in hiding, they did their best to keep in touch in a variety of ways both mundane and magical.
And so, the Gojos successfully integrated themselves into society as sorcerers hiding in plain sight:
The main family founded a successful and powerful corporation in the tech industry. Through the use of a CT, the Gojos mass produced products that can pass as talismans to ward off curses from their customers.
One branch family entrenched themselves in the entertainment industry. Through musicians and dancers, they can enhance any Gojo products' potency as long as they are within range of their live performance or recordings in play. Actors, models, photographers, news reporters, and filming crew are the "field" agents in exorcising curses as they work their day jobs.
Another branch is in the pharmaceutical industry and is making their way slowly to the top. They don't have yet the perfect CT that can help make their products useful against curses but they are working hard on it.
A select few went into various temples, shrines, churches, hospitals, and the police. Their roles are akin to spies. Any curse or sorcerer-related cases tend to be reported there first. They are still mulling about going into politics and the food industry.
The reason behind their drive to succeed both in and out of jujutsu related everything is pure spite. They are living up the motto "I can live without you but can never live without me."
Beating the Zenins and the Kamos regarding sorceries without them being the wiser is their clan's mission. The two clans' frustration is a great source of entertainment for the Gojos ever since one of them had a CT that is like an SE offshoot that allows them to observe a room at a great distance. That particular Gojo infiltrated Tokyo and Kyoto jujutsu schools as a janitor to set up discreet "spy cams".
However, the Gojos do feel bad about the non-clan affiliated sorcerers. So they try to alleviate their burden by helping in a round about way to avoid revealing themselves.
Then, Satoru was born and he was spoiled rotten albeit suffocated. He is treated like the next best thing since sliced bread, the ultimate weapon, and a fine porcelain doll.
Satoru's childhood is a bit confusing but Satoru knows he is the clan's greatest darling. Adults are fighting over what he'd be in the future. Will he inherit the tech company? Should he go into acting or singing? Maybe he'd be charismatic enough to be a politician. A model was a good option too or an an athlete!
All plans were put into a halt though when the Gojo in the police department found Riko in a car accident. They learned she was a potential Star Plasma Vessel (SPV). So they took her and her maid in.
Satoru instantly fell in love at being an older brother. He wished for Riko to be his little sister to protect and spoil.
The Gojos know the SE, SPV, and Tengen have a weird connection with each other. They were wary about having the two children close and having the Amanais as part of the family. However, one look from two pairs of big baby blues and the entire family folded.
Tough luck for Tengen. The Gojo clan do not bear the old sorcerer any grudge but they are just really weak against this generations' SE and SPV. They unanimously decided to let them live a long satisfying life as much as possible. Tengen would be fine on their own.
So, Satoru Gojo and Riko Amanai became Satoru Misato and Riko Misato. They live an ordinary life together with their Aunt Kuroi Misato. They are students by day and exorcists (with a legion of chaperones/guards) at night. They are living up the superhero vigilante life.
Then a Meet Cute happens between Riko and Yu one mission gone wrong. Nanami gets slapped in the face. Then it is hate at first sight between Satoru and Suguru because they stole each other's first kiss Naruto style.

Could we learn more about Alice? Like what does Alice like to do, how did they react with other, any job other than Yogurt place, would they be friends with other sunshines?
Ahhhh, I’m so happy you like Alice enough to want to know more about her! I’m happy to give you some random facts.
First of all, I can think of many other sunshines that Alice would get along with. She’s a bit shy when she first meets people, but she tries her best to be friendly and approachable. Ironically, working such an embarrassing food service job helped her learn how to talk with strangers more easily, though she does get anxious easily if they get a little too personal too fast. Once she gets more relaxed around a person as they become closer as friends, she can get pretty silly and playful.
Popov’s Big Top Yogurtopia wasn’t exactly her first choice for a job (can you blame her?) When Alice was younger, she had a lot of different dreams, but her biggest one was to create a cartoon series for young adults. Think something similar to the Owl House or Gravity Falls, something with an overarching story to it and lightly spooky at times, but with characters who support each other and try to get to the bottom of the fantastical mystery they’ve been thrust into. She actually has a good number of notebooks with ideas as well as a lot of sketchbooks.
Alice is a pretty good artist, but she’s very sensitive to criticism. Sadly, art teachers who were unfairly biased towards real life photo realistic art critiqued her more stylized and fantastical works without really communicating how she might improve. Sometimes you come across some art teachers like this who see only one way of doing art, or they get jealous of a young student’s talents when they abandoned their own dreams long ago.
That’s not even touching on the bullying from her peers and online that Alice faced when she was a kid. She wound up deleting all the art and her social media after it got to be too much. It was several years before she posted anything online again, but it was under a whole new online identity distanced from her old one.
Fortunately, it seems Alice safely buried her dark past. No one will remember her shameful youth of cringe ships and Mary Sue power fantasies. No one will ever know... as long as Ian doesn’t say anything or share the copies he’s saved, and he better not if he knows what’s good for him!
Alice did learn how to draw more realistic art as well, and even took a couple art classes when bouncing around between degrees during college, but by that point she was heavily discouraged from pursuing her dream of creating cartoons.
Being an actor was a dream that was nurtured by Ian. Because Alice spent a lot of time helping him with his dream, rehearsing and learning how to act alongside him, she got better at it as well and found it to be another fun thing to do with her partner. That’s why at the start of college she disregarded her biggest dream to go after another dream that was still really fun and had the added fulfilment of doing it with the person she loved most.
Then, as I’ve said a couple times in past headcanon posts, the teacher in the acting class pulled Alice aside after class one day to give her the harsh truth that chubby actors get pigeonholed into degrading roles. With how sensitive she is about how people perceive her, the teacher was genuinely concerned about what the entertainment industry would do to her spirit. Plenty of actors suffer from eating disorders to maintain an unhealthy beauty standard, among other things, and the teacher didn’t want her to suffer from something like that.
After that, Alice tried different career paths, trying to find a new, more attainable dream to follow for her future. This led to a lot of dead ends - sometimes she found things she was good at but hated, and other times it was something she liked but a career in it seemed unfeasible. A lot of dreams died along the way as she tried many things until she ultimately graduated with a degree in computer science.
Alice has worked a few part-time jobs since she was a teenager until she got a full time position at Yogurtopia. It was a job she found within walking distance of her new apartment after she moved out of the place she used to live with Ian. It might be a cringe job, but at least she doesn’t have to waste money on gas to drive there.
After the disillusionment that came from having so many dreams crushed during high school and college, with the biggest one being a happy future with Ian, Alice was left very, very tired. She’s doing the bare minimum to take care of herself, often times forgetting to eat meals. She suffers from depression, but can’t afford to see a medical professional for it, as treatment for a chronic medical condition she suffers from eats a chunk out of her budget as it is. Trying to find a better paying job is difficult, especially when she has to work long hours most days of the week and is left with little time or energy to do more than to treat herself and try to feel better.
Alice is the oldest child in a pretty big family. Although her family is very loving and supportive, she feels pressure to make it on her own. There are so many siblings in her family home, and one of her younger sisters has more severe health problems than she does, which eats through her family’s funds. When she was younger, she caused a lot of issues due to her health problems until doctors were finally able to diagnose and treat her for it. She would have moved back to her family home after the breakup if she wasn’t so against being a financial or emotional burden on her family when things are already rough as it is for them.
Despite having such a caring family, Alice feels that she can’t burden them or anyone else with her problems. She has to handle them on her own, so she stubbornly is living in a crappy cheap apartment, working far too many hours for not enough pay, and struggling to care about herself more.
The illness Alice has is something that can’t be cured, and I would rather not pick any real life condition. It is, however, treatable through pills that she takes daily. It allows her to go through life without symptoms keeping her from living her life. It can flare up despite treatment, but they’re rare nowadays, and she has a high tolerance for pain as a result.
When Alice does have time to herself to do something fun and relaxing, she tends to watch TV, play video games, doodle in one of her many sketchbooks, or even make small RPG Maker horror games for fun. She’s just barely active enough on social media to keep up with the handful of friends she has, occasionally posting her art there for little to no attention outside of her friends circle. She’s overall a pretty introverted person and finds social engagement exhausting.
If Alice is feeling particularly good, especially on a nice crisp autumn day with a relaxing atmosphere, she sometimes goes out to the park near her home to draw in her sketchbook. Sometimes she sketches people passing by or the scenery, but most often she draws more stylistically. Although her dream of making a cartoon series is pretty much dead, she still draws little comics for her own fun, and has a fair amount of lore written up about different stories she’s made. Even if she can’t animate the scenes she imagines in her head, she can still enjoy the worlds she’s made just for herself.
Although, admittedly, the stories Alice plays with currently are all brand new characters and ideas since she’s moved to the new place. It’s been hard for her to touch the older works she held dear, especially those she’s had since childhood. Those ideas and characters were among the many things she shared with Ian, and he left his thumbprint on them, offering encouragement and ideas of his own. When they were together, it helped nurture these stories and characters she made, but after their breakup, it’s hard for her to look at them without thinking of him and feeling the pain of love that turned into something so very toxic.
Alice is trying to move on. She’s trying to start fresh with pretty much everything in her life that Ian touched. The tattoo on her back symbolizes her “rebirth” into a new person, one who doesn’t need to be loved romantically to not only live, but thrive. She’s always wanted a tattoo, but couldn’t afford it after the breakup when all her savings had to be used to rebuild her life. Fortunately, her younger sister Barbie insisted on paying for one as a birthday gift to her.
Tumblr media
It’s not in color in this drawing, but in color it’s a pair of phoenix wings, intense bright blue near the center leading into fiery red, and eventually transitioning to glowing yellow embers that come off similar to feathers. (Yes, the subtle blue/yellow/red nod is intentional here too in her design.) It creates a heart in the empty space between them. It’s intended as a representation of her strength. Even though old dreams died, particularly what she thought was true love, she can still rise from the ashes and live on, shining bright.
Alice designed the tattoo herself, and she’s posted the drawing of it on her socials when she got it done, but she’s too intimidated to post any photos of her bare back online. Only members of her family, the tattoo artist, and a couple doctors have actually seen what it looks like on her.
Although the tattoo is in a hard to see place, it makes Alice feel empowered just having it. She doesn’t like to look at herself in the mirror anyway if she doesn’t have to. Still, she does make it a point to look at the tattoo sometimes to remind herself that she is strong enough to keep going, no matter how hard things might feel at times.
I think I’ll end the post here on that uplifting note. Thank you again for asking about Alice. I’m so glad you like her. If you’re interested in hearing more about her, feel free to ask me. I’ll be more than happy to go on another ramble about her, her relationships with the other Sunny Day Jack Characters, and the story of Sunshine in Hell in general. Thanks for reading! 💖

about language
just a little rant i feel like sharing somewhere.
so I'm 24 right, and I'm here in Seoul trying to 'properly' study Korean because I've actually been learning the language since I was like 11 or 12? It's been that long that I don't even remember.
I've always loved learning languages, and am lucky enough to be granted the ability to learn them pretty quickly if I may say so myself. I could already understand roughly 80% of the conversations held in Korean before I even arrived here, I constantly hear my korean friends saying my skill is good enough that I don't need to be enrolled in a language school. I take it as a compliment even though I, in return, constantly tell people I'm still far from being fluent.
I love the language, love the expression it entails, love the words, and I think the language is just beautiful in ways I'm not sure how to describe. And as much as I love it, I think that's also a higher standard I hold to myself when it comes to being 'fluent'.
It's the same thing with English, another language I've basked in since I was a kid. A language that I took proficiency test on and got a full score, and still I say I'm far from fluent and has got a lot to learn about.
But something bothers me about Korean.
I hate that I'm, in a way, unable to use it on any setting like I would be able English. If I rant here in English, people wouldn't blink an eye. But if I just blast out full Korean, I feel like people would label me certain names bc I'm a foreigner, it's my third language, and there's stereotypes overall that sadly comes with the language.
And it upsets me. Because this is a language I genuinely love regardless of my interest in its entertainment industry; a language I've been learning since I was a kid, a language I'm comfortable with, a language so beautiful but couldn't really use to speak unless I'm in the country bc else, it'd be reduced to something else and I'd hate for that to happen.
Anyhow, I'm not usually very conscious about it. I still use Korean when I update elsewhere bc I consider the language very dear to me and who cares what people say, right? But it's very unfortunate that there are things happening out there that made me feel this way.
Makes me wonder if I'd feel this way too if it was another language entirely that I learnt.

Bonus Level Unlocked
This week marks the release of Jason Schreier’s Press Reset, an incredibly well-researched book on catastrophic business failure in the gaming industry. Jason’s a good dude, and there’s an excerpt here if you want to check it out. Sadly, game companies going belly-up is such a common occurrence that he couldn’t possibly include them all, and one of the stories left out due to space constraints is one that I happen to be personally familiar with. So, I figured I’d tell it here.
I began working at Acclaim Studios Austin as a sound designer in January of 2000. It was a tumultuous period for the company, including a recent rebranding from their former studio name, “Iguana Entertainment,” and a related, ongoing lawsuit from the ex-founder of Iguana. There were a fair number of ghosts hanging around—the creative director’s license plate read IGUANA, which he never changed, and one of the meeting rooms held a large, empty terrarium—but the studio had actually been owned on paper by Acclaim since 1995, and I didn’t notice any conflicting loyalties. Everyone acted as if we always had been, and always would be, Acclaim employees.
Over the next few years I worked on a respectable array of triple-A titles, including Quarterback Club 2002, Turok: Evolution, and All-Star Baseball 2002 through 2005. (Should it be “All-Stars Baseball,” like attorneys general? Or perhaps a term of venery, like “a zodiac of All-Star Baseball.”) At any rate, it was a fun place to work, and a platformer of hijinks ensued.
But let’s skip to the cutscene. The truth is that none of us in the trenches suspected the end was near until it was absolutely imminent. Yes, Turok: Evolution and Vexx had underperformed, especially when stacked against the cost of development, but games flop in the retail market all the time. And, yes, Showdown: Legends of Wrestling had been hustled out the door before it was ready for reasons no one would explain, and the New York studio’s release of a BMX game featuring unlockable live-action stripper footage had been an incredibly weird marketing ploy for what should have been a straightforward racing title. (Other desperate gimmicks around this time included a £6,000 prize for UK parents who would name their baby “Turok,” an offer to pay off speeding tickets to promote Burnout 2 that quickly proved illegal, and an attempt to buy advertising space on actual tombstones for a Shadow Man sequel.)
But the baseball franchise was an annual moneymaker, and our studio had teams well into development on two major new licenses, 100 Bullets and The Red Star. Enthusiasm was on the upswing. Perhaps I should have paid closer attention when voice actors started calling me to complain that they hadn’t been paid, but at the time it seemed more like a bureaucratic failure than an actual money shortage—and frankly, it was a little naïve of them to expect net-30 in the first place. Industry standard was, like, net-90 at best. So I was told.
Then one Friday afternoon, a few department managers got word that we’d kind of maybe been skipping out on the building lease for let’s-not-admit-how-many months. By Monday morning, everyone’s key cards had been deactivated.
It's a little odd to arrive at work and find a hundred-plus people milling around outside—even odder, I suppose, if your company is not the one being evicted. Acclaim folks mostly just rolled their eyes and debated whether to cut our losses and head to lunch now, while employees of other companies would look dumbfounded and fearful before being encouraged to push their way through the crowd and demonstrate their still-valid key card to the security guard. Finally, the General Manager (hired only a few months earlier, and with a hefty relocation bonus to accommodate his houseboat) announced that we should go home for the day and await news. Several of our coworkers were veterans of the layoff process—like I said, game companies go under a lot—and one of them had already created a Yahoo group to communicate with each other on the assumption that we’d lose access to our work email. A whisper of “get on the VPN and download while you can” rippled through the crowd.
But the real shift in tone came after someone asked about a quick trip inside for personal items, and the answer was a hard, universal “no.” We may have been too busy or ignorant to glance up at any wall-writing, but the building management had not been: they were anticipating a full bankruptcy of the entire company. In that situation, all creditors have equal standing to divide up a company's assets in lengthy court battles, and most get a fraction of what they’re owed. But if the landlords had seized our office contents in lieu of rent before the bankruptcy was declared, they reasoned, then a judge might rule that they had gotten to the treasure chest first, and could lay claim to everything inside as separate from the upcoming asset liquidation.
Ultimately, their gambit failed, but the ruling took a month to settle. In the meantime, knick knacks gathered dust, delivered packages piled up, food rotted on desks, and fish tanks became graveyards. Despite raucous protest from every angle—the office pets alone generated numerous threats of animal cruelty charges—only one employee managed to get in during this time, and only under police escort. He was a British citizen on a work visa, and his paperwork happened to be sitting on his desk, due to expire. Without it, he was facing literal deportation. Fortunately, a uniformed officer took his side (or perhaps just pre-responded to what was clearly a misdemeanor assault in ovo,) and after some tense discussion, the building manager relented, on the condition that the employee touch absolutely nothing beyond the paperwork in question. The forms could go, but the photos of his children would remain.
It’s also a little odd, by the way, to arrive at the unemployment office and find every plastic chair occupied by someone you know. Even odder, I suppose, if you’re actually a former employee of Acclaim Studios Salt Lake, which had shut down only a month or two earlier, and you just uprooted your wife and kids to a whole new city on the assurance that you were one of the lucky ones who got to stay employed. Some of them hadn’t even finished unpacking.
Eventually, we were allowed to enter the old office building one at a time and box up our things under the watchful eye of a court appointee, but by then our list of grievances made the landlords’ ploy seem almost quaint by comparison (except for the animals, which remains un-fucking-forgivable.) We had learned, for example, that in the weeks prior to the bankruptcy, our primary lender had made an offer of $15 million—enough to keep us solvent through our next batch of releases, two of which had already exited playtesting and were ready to be burned and shipped. The only catch was that the head of the board, company founder Greg Fischbach, would have to step down. This was apparently too much of an insult for him to stomach, and he decided that he'd rather see everything burn to the ground. The loan was refused.
Other “way worse than we thought” details included gratuitous self-dealing to vendors owned by board members, the disappearance of expensive art from the New York offices just before closure, and the theft of our last two paychecks. For UK employees, it was even more appalling: Acclaim had, for who knows how long, been withdrawing money from UK paychecks for their government-required pension funds, but never actually putting the money into the retirement accounts. They had stolen tens of thousands of dollars directly from each worker.
Though I generally reside somewhere between mellow and complete doormat on the emotional spectrum, I did get riled enough to send out one bitter email—not to anyone in corporate, but to the creators of a popular webcomic called Penny Arcade, who, in the wake of Acclaim’s bankruptcy announcement, published a milquetoast jibe about Midway’s upcoming Area 51. I told Jerry (a.k.a. “Tycho”) that I was frankly disappointed in their lack of cruelty, and aired as much dirty laundry as I was privy to at the time.
“Surely you can find a comedic gem hidden somewhere in all of this!” I wrote. “Our inevitable mocking on PA has been a small light at the end of a very dark, very long tunnel. Please at least allow us the dignity of having a smile on our faces while we wait in line for food stamps.”
Two days later, a suitably grim comic did appear, implying the existence of a new release from Acclaim whose objective was to run your game company into the ground. In the accompanying news post, Tycho wrote:
“We couldn’t let the Acclaim bankruptcy go without comment, though we initially let it slide thinking about the ordinary gamers who lost their jobs there. They don’t have anything to do with Acclaim’s malevolent Public Relations mongrels, and it wasn’t they who hatched the Titty Bike genre either. Then, we remembered that we have absolutely zero social conscience and love to say mean things.”
Another odd experience, by the way, is digging up a 16-year-old complaint to a webcomic creator for nostalgic reference when you offer that same creator a promotional copy of the gaming memoir you just co-wrote with Sid Meier. Even odder, I suppose, to realize that the original non-Acclaim comic had been about Area 51, which you actually were hired to work on yourself soon after the Acclaim debacle.*
As is often the case in complex bankruptcies, the asset liquidation took another six years to fully stagger its way through court—but in 2010, we did, surprisingly, get the ancient paychecks we were owed, plus an extra $1,700-ish for the company’s apparent violation of the WARN Act. By then, I had two kids and a very different life, for which the money was admittedly helpful. Sadly, Acclaim’s implosion probably isn’t even the most egregious one on record. Our sins were, to my knowledge, all money-related, and at least no one was ever sexually assaulted in our office building. Again, to my knowledge. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure we remain the only historical incident of corporate pet murder. The iguana got out just in time.
*Area 51’s main character was voiced by David Duchovny, and he actually got paid—which was lucky for him, because three years later, Midway also declared bankruptcy.

Glances a Jung Hoseok One-Shot
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jung Hoseok x famous!reader
Genre: romance,
Warnings: none
Here I was at another big fancy event. Don't get me wrong it was an amazing opportunity and it showed how far I had come in my career. I was honored to be invited to the Variety Hitmakers Brunch, yet I detested how snotty everyone here was.
All award shows of sorts were always the same thing, people bragging about what they won. It seems they forget the reason we are here is to celebrate the music that has the power to change many people's lives. Even the dirtiest songs have the power to help a person. Music can lift people's moods, give them closure, become their relationship songs, give warmth to a romantic moment. Music is always in our lives one way or another making every moment better. It's why it's so crucial in moviemaking. It sets the mood and without it, everything would be much less anticlimactic and boring.
Back to the point at hand, it's not so much the artists who I frown upon, it's the people behind them. Managers and CEO's, they suck the life out of events treating it like a business (which it is for them). Their greedy eyes looking for the next collaboration, for the next hit. They whisper in your ears making you think it's your idea, but it's not. It's all part of their master plan to make more money, to make you do most of the work. Having barely any regard for your health or wants or needs.
I don't want to say it's like I describe all the time because it's not, but a lot of them are like that. I'm one of the lucky few who got a good team behind them. It was no easy task though I failed many times and people failed me, somehow, I managed to get through it. I had my family and friends to pick me up every time I fell and made a mistake. Eventually, I found my amazing manager Carly and she led me to my amazing record label.
It's been five years since I've been in the music industry officially. It all started when I was 16 and had a dream of becoming a successful singer. How naïve I was thinking it was just going to be me signing to my heart's content. HA! It was eventually, but first I had to learn to produce, to practice singing, and to practice dancing. I had to face failure every time my CEO said she didn't like my new song or theme. Having to start over again to come out with something that satisfied her. After finally coming out with an album I loved with all my heart and it being a success I also had to face a lot of hatred and as a 17-year-old girl, it hits you hard. Other than the hatred I also had to manage my personal life and learn to adapt to a new way of life.
It's all in the past now. I learned how to ignore the hate to my best ability. I learned to focus on the fans that loved my work. To hear them out and become even better. There were a lot of things that happened in between, but I like to think they don't matter anymore as long as I learned my lesson. Although my dream to become a singer was very different from what I imagined, I didn't regret it one bit. It led me to where I was right now receiving an award for artist of the year at the Vanity Hitmakers Brunch.
Walking around with Carly leading the way I saw a lot of my colleagues and friends. Depending on what they were doing whether that was being interviewed or simply talking amongst each other I'd wave hello or stop and talk to them. These award things could be reunions between friends since it was hard at times to meet up with everybody since we were all on tour or filming or in different parts of the globe. It was one of the reasons I still came to these events the other reason being the fans. I owed them my success so if seeing me in an award show made them happy then I would go. I would also fangirl over other artists. Can you blame me? I'm only a human that likes listening to people's music.
As I walked around, I saw Billie Eilish, an amazing artist I collaborated with a few months ago. I liked her since she also saw the truth behind this industry, we had an understanding about it and that made us bond. I could only wave since she was in a conversation with one of the organizers of the awards.
As I kept walking and looking around my eyes landed on seven gorgeous men. My jaw dropped not only because of their beauty but because of who they were. It was none other than BTS. My heart raced; I have been a fan of their music since practically the beginning. How did I not know they were going to be here? I've always wanted to meet them, but we never coincided on any past award shows because for some reason every time they went, I had something else going on. I hated myself for it.
With sweaty palms, I debated on going over to them. I mean they were probably busy talking to somebody else yet nobody was approaching them. They even seem bored. Why was that? They were an amazing band that everybody wanted to collaborate with or be seen with. It just didn't make sense. Maybe it was the language barrier? It could be since not many American artists knew Korean.
With that thought in mind, I hung my head in defeat since I didn't know Korean either. Disappointed I turned around to leave when I almost slapped myself across the face in realization. One of them knows English surely with his help you could get the point across that you were a huge fan and not only that, but this dumb bitch also knows Korean.
How could I forget I know a whole other language is beyond me, but it happened. Thank you Nari for teaching me. Nari is my best friend we have known each other since preschool and are still very close. Her parents moved to the United States from Korea when she was still just a baby.
While I was in school my parents often were not around much so the Seong family took care of me until they got off work. Thus, I learned the Korean language and a bit of its culture. Plus, I gained a whole other family who I love very much.
Shaking my thoughts away I began walking over to them. My hands trembling in excitement, my inner fangirl begging to come out. I kept her locked up though because I did not want to make a fool out of myself. As I got closer, I saw Jimin look my way from his spot on one of the sofas that were around the tents.
When I got to where they were, they all stopped talking between themselves and looked up at me. Eyes wide not knowing what to expect.
With a gulp, I bowed and with a trembling voice said in Korean, "Hello, my name is y/n and I am a huge fan of your work." I crossed my fingers hoping my Korean didn't fail me.
With anxiousness, I waited for their response. Suddenly it vanished as Jungkook smiled up at me, stood up and shook my hand.
"Hello y/n, I'm Jeon Jungkook I'm glad you enjoy our work." He said smiling brightly at me.
I almost fainted seeing as 1/7 of BTS was standing in front of me shaking my hand. I was never going to wash my hand again. Gathering my wits, I kept on smiling as the introductions kept going around.
Once all introductions were done, which I think weren't necessary, they made a space for me to sit with them.
"I got to say I didn't expect anybody here to speak our language," Yoongi said from his seat as he looked at me.
"Oh, I only know because of my best friend. She's also Korean and taught me everything I know," I explained, "If I say anything wrong, blame her," I finished joking.
"No, you are doing very well, your friend did a good job," Hoseok said from his spot beside me.
"I have to say I am also a big fan of your music," he then said abashedly.
"Really?!" I said surprised not expecting them to know much about my music.
"Yeah, he has followed your music for about two years now," Taehyung exclaimed as he shot Hoseok a teasing smile.
"He even has a collection of your albums," Jin blurted out trying to get the point across.
"Yah, stop it you are embarrassing me," Hoseok told them, trying to play it cool and hide his blushing face.
"There's nothing to be embarrassed about. It makes me so happy that you enjoy my music!" I honestly said holding my hands close to my heart.
It was one thing to meet your idols but for them to also know your music is another level. I felt proud of myself since I looked up to them and their work.
We sat in the middle of the tent talking to our heart's content for a while. I was glad I had the guts to talk to them seeing as they no longer looked so serious or bored. I guess they were just a little lonely and wanted some company. Talking to them felt easy. I thought it would be a bit more awkward, but I was proven wrong. They knew how to hold a conversation. We talked about everything from their upcoming music to my music, to the places we've traveled, and about the awards in itself. There was never a boring moment; they made everything entertaining or interesting.
It was when we were laughing loudly about something Jimin said that my manager came to tell me it was time to go find our seats since the ceremony would begin shortly. With a disappointed sigh, I went to stand up and say goodbye to BTS.
"Well, guys I guess this is goodbye," I started saying sadly, "It was great meeting you, I hope I get to see you again."
"I hope so too," Taehyung said enthusiastically, "I had a lot of fun talking to you."
I looked at them as I bid my farewells. When I got to Hoseok he looked as if he wanted to tell me something but couldn't bring himself to.  Yoongi, noticing his reaction, took matters into his own hands.
"Hey y/n, how about we take a picture to remember this day?" he asked, offering a smile.
"Let's do it!" I responded.
They all stood up and got into position. It was Jungkook, Jimin, Taehyung, Namjoon, me, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Jin. I felt as Namjoon wrapped an arm around my shoulders and Hoseok partially wrapped his arm around my waist not quite touching me. Something strange happened to me as I felt very aware of his body heat, touch, and the smell of his cologne.
Once the pictures were taken, I felt disappointed as he stepped away from me. Disregarding those thoughts, I shook my head and bid them goodbye once again. I couldn't believe I had met BTS wait until I told Nari. She is going to freak out and ask me all kinds of questions. I would be able to fangirl with her, but until then I'd have to hold it in.
The awards went, as usual, I cheered on my fellow friends and colleagues, yet I cheered a little louder for my new friends BTS, they truly deserved the award. As someone who has seen them from the beginning, I could say they worked very hard to get to where they are now and had been through some tough times. Not only did they manage to become successful in Korea, but they also paved the way for many Korean artists to get recognized in the United States.
Once the awards ended and all the photoshoots and speeches were done, I found myself walking to the back entrance of the building to get to the SUV waiting for me. My feet were killing me making my back hurt, the makeup on my face felt uncomfortable, and not to mention the dress I was wearing got scratchier the more I had it on.
Deep into my thoughts, I didn't hear a voice calling out to me until Carly nudged her elbow into my side. I looked at her questioningly and she pointed over to the man walking over to me his dimpled smile being a welcoming sight.
"Oh, sorry Namjoon I didn't hear you, what's up?" I spoke as I stopped walking waiting for him to catch up.
"Don't worry, it happens to all of us, I wanted to ask if you were going to the after-party?" he asked as he tilted his head in question. It was a cute sight not going to lie.
"No, I'm not a big fan of after-parties they get too wild," I explained.
"In that case, would you like to meet up with us in a few hours after we get out of here?" he eagerly asked "We are not big fans either of American after-parties. They get awkward for us because of the language barrier," he finished saying.
"I understand," I told him reassuringly, "Count me in."
"We'll stay at our hotel and celebrate there. I'll send you the address," he stated, giving me a smile, his eyes closing at the same time.
"I'll see you there!"
"One more thing!" He exclaimed, "Come in comfortable clothes it'll just be us hanging out, no need for fancy clothing," he then finished explaining seeing my confused face.
"Even better, this dress has been getting more uncomfortable the more I wear it," I said relieved that I wouldn't have to dress up again.
It was fun dressing up, but it got uncomfortable quickly.
"See you later?" Namjoon asked one more time as he started walking away.
"Definitely," I replied as I waved him goodbye.
As soon as I got to my apartment, I took a quick shower and changed into a pair of high waisted leggings and a cropped hoodie. I didn't do much with my makeup, just applied some tinted moisturizer, did my eyebrows, applied some mascara, and some lip balm. Trust me compared to what I was wearing earlier this was nothing. As I got ready Namjoon sent me a text with the address of the hotel and what time I should get there. Luckily the hotel wasn't that far, and I had about an hour to spare. So, I did the only reasonable thing. I took a nap. After my nap, I realized it was time to go.
When I arrived at the hotel, I quickly made my way up to the room Namjoon told me about. As I got closer to the door, I heard a lot of loud voices, yup, I was definitely in the right place.
I knocked on the door and waited for somebody to open it. I didn't have to wait long when Hoseok confusedly opened the door.
"Y/n?" he asked surprised.
"Yeah? Hi Hoseok," I greeted smiling up at him.
"I didn't know you were coming," he confessed, still looking confused.
"Oh, I invited her," Namjoon began saying, "I guess I forgot to tell you, Sorry Hobi."
"Yah Hoseok let her in already," Jin yelled from his place on the sofa.
Hurriedly Hoseok got out of the way and gestured me in. I walked inside and noticed they were all dressed comfortably too in Jeans and their signature Hoodies. As I looked around somebody ran up to me and engulfed me in a hug. When they stepped back, I realized it was Taehyung.
"Hi, Taehyung!" I greeted him.
"Y/n I'm so glad you're here!" he said excitedly, "I was getting bored with these people around." He then said seriously.
I started laughing when I heard a hurt "Hey!" from Jimin.
Unbeknownst to me, Taehyung was sending Hoseok a teasing smile as he glared at him not liking the proximity between us.
"What were you guys up to?" I asked curiously.
"Nothing much we were going to start a live soon," Jungkook answers as he set up a tripod in front of the sofa.
"Oh! In that case let me know so I can scooch over a corner while you talk to army," I told them kindly.
"Nonsense you get to be with us in the live," Jimin said from his place on the dining table the hotel offered.
"Are you sure?" I questioned with uncertainty, "I know you guys don't usually have guests in your lives."
BTS usually didn't do lives with other people. They did them mainly amongst themselves. I didn't know how army would take it if they had somebody else with them, especially a girl. They would certainly have something to say about it.
"We're sure. Don't worry, it'll be fun!" Hoseok said from behind me as he patted my shoulder.
As soon as the setup was done we all gathered around the sofa. Jungkook, Jimin, Namjoon, Jin, and Yoongi sat on the L shaped sofa while Taehyung, Hoseok, and I sat on the floor leaving me in between them.
Surprisingly the live went very smoothly and it was a lot of fun. I didn't see many hate comments just questioning ones as to why I was there. The guys introduced me as their new friend and as we went along the live there were opportunities for me to get to know them a bit better.
While I sat there, I felt as Hoseok's leg pressed against mine, making me feel flustered. Warmth spread through me the more the live went on. At some point he whispered something in my ear in a low voice that made me lose focus on what was happening around me. He was doing things to me I couldn't explain. I wonder if he also felt the same things I did. Towards the end of the live I couldn't focus anymore. The strange thing was that Taehyungs leg was also very close to mine and he even had his arm around me for some time, yet that did not bother me in any way.
When the live ended my thoughts were interrupted by Jimin giving out a yell as he opened a bottle of champagne. Deciding not to think of my bodies reaction to the rapper beside me I shook my head and accepted the glass Namjoon offered me.
I was glad I came to what I now call the BTS afterparty. The guys were amazing and came up with the weirdest games.
Throughout the night I couldn't help but sneak glances at Hoseok. My eyes always wondered to him without my consent and whenever he spoke my attention would instantly be on him. At one point when I turned to look at him, he was already staring at me very intensely. I tried to hold eye contact, his eyes were very dark and alluring causing me to get lost in them, feeling as if I had fallen into a dark abyss. There was so much emotion in his gaze, I got overwhelmed and looked away. I felt as a blush crept up my cheeks and as I looked back up again, he gave me a smirk.
Wasn't Hoseok supposed to be the sunshine of the group? This wasn't sunshine, sure it was fiery but it was also sinful and flirty and dark.
After a while and I decided I had enough to drink so I got up to leave. I wasn't drunk or tipsy but if I kept drinking, I would get there. I bid my farewells promising to see them again soon and left the room. As the doors to the elevator started to close a hand stopped them and a man came in.
Looking up at him I confusedly asked, "Hoseok?"
"Y/n wait," he said rushed.
"What is it?" I asked nervously.
It was only the two of us in the elevator and as I recalled all the glances and grins he gave me back in the room, I started growing nervous. I stuck my hands in the front pocket of my hoodie to try and hide their trembling.
He got very close to me, our chests almost touching. He leaned his face down towards mine. I felt his hands graze my cheeks with his breath mixing with mine. He got closer, his lips brushing on mine until he pulled away. I hadn't realized I had closed my eyes but as he grew the distance between us, I opened them in confusion, disappointment reflecting in them. I was breathless even though the kiss didn't happen and as I looked at him, he was the same way.
Hoseok still had his hands on my face and I felt as he grazed his thumb on my lips. For some reason, he also had a disappointed look on his face. I wonder why, he could have kissed me if he wanted, plus,  he was the one in control of the whole situation. He could have done anything and I wouldn't have protested.
"Let me take you out on a date first," he said, answering my silent question.
I could only nod but that was not enough for him.
He got closer again but this time it was to whisper in my ear, "I need to hear you say it."
His voice was low and raspy. I couldn't stop the goosebumps from arising on my skin.
"Y-Yes, I'd, um, love to go on a date with you," I felt like a schoolgirl as I stuttered.
I jumped as I felt the elevator ding signaling it had arrived at its destination. Somehow without me noticing he had stepped away taking his warmth with him and leaving me cold.
"I'll see you soon for our date, y/n," he then said cheerfully, his attitude changing completely from before.
"Bye Hoseok," I said perplexed at the sudden change.
I walked away from the elevator but turned to look back. There he was staring at me again as the door closed and just before they did, he sent me a wink as a seductive smile made its way to his lips.
A/N: I don't think I've ever written anything like this. So, if you guys enjoyed it please let me know and make sure to like and reblog to show your support.
Im still shocked at what I wrote. It honestly started as an innocent idea but towards the end something like happened. It's not smutty but like I tried to write a tension between them.
Did you feel it? Did it need more?
Please let me know!
See you guys later ;) 💜 x

*slides into your asks with a rose in my mouth* why hello, tis me!
Apologies for the long wait but your favorite long asks anon is here and OOF so much has happened. Let us break it down one by one lol
Monsta x our beans, welp we can officially say we are army wives for them because shownu is now at the military and just welp this feels weird lol. I lowkey forgot he was meant to enlist so when the news came out I went through so many emotions. Its why the latest comeback feels a bit bittersweet to me. It is their BEST for sure and for this year, I agree so to not see him perform right before he left is a bit sad. I don't blame him of course (if anyone does i am fish slapping you) but just a shame. I'm happy we do get content with him still? Seems pre-planned so that is nice!
Onto legends exo, fantastic comeback. I cannot stop listening to the album, its just bops full of bops to me. They broke so many records and I'm over here sipping my tea because fudge yes. It isn't a full member comeback, 2 of the members featured in the comeback are off playing call of duty and they still did THAT. While having lay properly in the comeback!? (Or at least some form, better than tempo era!) Kyungsoo my beloved, the man that can swoon you off your feet, his proper solo album. Omg I am just in love? The album feels like a Playlist that you hear while taking a walk or on a raodtrip? I love it, I just love everything about this with how much thought was given. It makes me feel warm and I'm so proud of him (I think he even got a first win) but sadly xiumin got the it shall not be named virus D: I feel so bad and I can only hope he gets better! It makes me worried because I keep seeing more and more idols getting sick and I can't help but wonder why don't the kpop entertainment just put a pause with stuff? Of course that is VERY unrealistic, I am aware that is naive for me to think but its just so idk how to word it properly (my English brain is not working I am sorry) I cannot help the feeling of while I get people are being safe and yes we need to still live like normal beings, is it worth risking idols health just for some entertainment? Idk how to explain my thoughts properly but maybe I hope I made sense!!
Onto svt! That is perfectly fine to not vibe with a comeback! I will admit, I didn't fully vibe with this comeback and it shocked me because every comeback was a hit to me. Even fear, left and right or homerun where I know many fans were split on, I liked but RTL was a grower. For me, listening to it without watching the mv, helped it alot and it is a song I like. Is it their best? No I don't think so but it is alright to say "hey I didn't bop to this, not my cup of tea" (imo I blame the mv? The mv REALLY didn't do the song justice at all, I am sorry if I sound like a fake fan but this mv Just is bad in all aspects. Sure we have some pretty shots but like it just doesn't fit at all?) So if anything listening to the song or wishing the live performances does it better. Seeing the choreography amps the song up more, cannot go wrong with their dancing. As for the rest of the songs, I admit game boy is my top favorite? Idk if it is because I am a gaming nerd and found all the production of the song so creative but yeah. We can wait for the next comeback! Svt always have something up their sleeves, plus we do have their music projects to look forward too (I wonder when we will get one? Seeing as RTL promotions stopped) some positive news with the boys is they resigned like a year before their contract ends and I'm a bit emotional :') I'm excited to see the boys future projects. We did have caratland recently! Did you watch it if I may ask? We did get in the soop confirmation so I'm excited to watch that, the boys deserve that nice break (even if it was filmed for a show fjsbsns)
Ok I think that is it for kpop updates? XD I do hope life has been treating you kindly! Life has been a bit all over the place sadly so I hope it wasn't like that for you as well! Until next time my bean!
hii!!!! omg sorry for the late reply i've been pretty busy these days 🙈
indeed so much has happened! and much more since you sent this ask omg!!
our shownu is at war *looks into the distance* *wipes away tear* *sighs* by now I got used to enlistment news (see what happens when you stan 2nd and 3rd gen groups) but STILL [[IT HURT]] when they uploaded the monchannel videos of his goodbye day like ????? what kind of twisted mind diuhdfuihdifuhs but the boys were all so cute and soft but they seemed so sad they didn't want to let go of their super leader :(( I hope he's learning lots and making new friends (and also we've got our international super spy yoo kihyun giving us small updates on him every now and then so everything's fine!). Yeah I totally get you it felt empty without him this comeback and at first it didn't really clicked with me but when the enlistment news came out i understood he had to take care of his health and thoroughly check on his eye sight in order to be 100% ready for the military so it made sense he had to be absent :( everything was so close (the comeback and enlistment) that I'm sure there was no other way for doing it I'm pretty sure he couldn't maybe postpone the enlistment day any further
onto exo! my ksoo my soft boi my romantic boi 🥺 his album is so him SO HIM i can't explain it bur it's just HIM you know it's the type of album you'd play on loop on a summer afternoon when you've taken your papers and paints outside in the garden to paint a bit with the warm soft breeze moving the trees lightly 🤧 and he signs in English and SPANISH (he did it for me) my multilingual king he's a native. Also I've been watching Honeymoon Tavern with Jongin these days and OMG i could d word for him really (if you haven's watched it go do it when you have time) he's SO SOFT and SO CUTE and he works as a waiter and a wedding planner and helps with the room preparations and is also a tour guide and he's just so cute so happy al the time the way he interacts with everyone is so 🥺🤧😭 onto more serious stuff now: yeah i was so worried about minseok catching covid omg but i'm glad he went through it with our any major complication and the rest of the boys are safe too! I guess the industry doesn't stop bc that would mean a huge loss of thousands and thousands of dollars/won/etc so as long as the gov doesn't prohibit going out or gathering like at the beginning of the pandemic, they'll keep on going with the idols' schedules otherwise the industry would just shut down having no way of earning money to sustain all the companies and idols.
as for seventeen! yeah i like the songs too! the mv sure ruined rtl and listening to it without watching it has really helped it grow on me more but still it feels kind of meh to me idk i really like anyone i think it's my favourite from the album. AND NOW WE'VE GOT A COMEBACK IN OCTOBER!!!! yayyyyy i can't wait they seem to be preparing very diligently (i hope they release a sexy bop) it's a shame junhao aren't gonna be present for this comeback but i'm soooooo happy they have the opportunity to visit their families again omg they have spent 2 whole years without seeing them in the flesh they must be so happy to get back to them again!!! it's so funny seeing them be bored at the quarantine hotel and doing lives every day duhdfiudhfiuh i hope it passes quickly and they can see their loved ones finally! and I did watch Caratland!! omg the unit switch song was the best thing ever hhu doing lilili yabbay and not being able to stop laughing idfuhdifuhs perf team doing chocolate and owning it????? hello??? performance team more like main vocal team wow! and the vocal team being a complete mess during check in lmaooo i loved it! In The Soop has finally started!!! I love these kind of "normal life" concepts I love seeing the boys being themselves cooking and relaxing I've watched the first and second eps as of today and also few clips from the third and omg mingyu and jeonghan drowning in the pond dfuhidfhidfs lmao they're so dumb i love them 🤣 i'm glad they could go away for a few days and spend time together away from their hectic schedules!
I hope you're well now and if not hang in there it'll all pass soon enough! 🥰💕 bye bye!!
p.s.: I got your request for the svt this or that gifset and i promise i’ll do it one day i just don’t feel like giffing these days dhbduusi i’m out of energy

daddy jaehyun
iii.xvii. (m)
"Is that you?" Eunbi held out her smartphone and showed you an article from a Korean celebrity magazine. She was a fellow student and you hadn't talked to her very much yet. She was always nice and polite and you once exchanged transcripts. She was very young, maybe 20 years old, like your little sister Mia. "Uhm yes." It was an article about Jaehyun on Return of the Superman and a picture of you was also posted. You try to read about it for a moment, but Eunbi is too excited about it. "Oh my god, I can't believe it. I was wondering all the time why you got a Korean last name. I've always been a fan of NCT. Ahhh Jaehyun and Haechan are ... were .. are my bias." She didn't quite know how to express herself so as not to look disrespectful. "To be honest, I was a little bit sad when I found out that Jaehyun had married you. But ... wow ...you look so beautiful!" She talked and talked and could hardly breathe with excitement. You had never experienced anything like this before. "Hey Eunbi, could you maybe not tell anyone? Almost nobody in the university knows that and I would love it if it stays that way. Can it remain our secret?" At some point it had to come out anyway, but you wanted to have your privacy for as long as possible. "Yes, of course, I promise. I swear!!!!" She smiled and put her books on the table. "Thanks, that's really important to me." You smile kindly and turn a little to her. "I just can't believe it. I'm studying with Miga and Sunoh's mother. I love Return of the Superman. They're both so cute." Now she sat next to you and you found it all very exciting, because you never met someone like that yourself. It was always Jaehyun who gets the reaction. You have deliberately moved away from the media, especially since your miscarriage. "Thank you, yes they are both angels." The thought of your children made your heart warm. "Jaehyun seems to be such a good dad. I'm looking forward to a new episode of Return of the Superman coming out tomorrow." She was delighted, but at that moment Matthew came to you with a female colleague. "Are you talking about Return of the Superman?" You didn't really know her, she was in a higher semester, but she may be a good friend of Matthew's. "Yes. Do you watch the series too?" Eunbi smiled kindly and she was just cute in her way. But the other student laughed contemptuously. "What? No. I'm not looking at how parents sell their children to subordinate themselves to capitalist social structures." You had to cough after this statement and hope that you don't react too obviously. "Oh no, it's cute." Eunbin looked at the other woman in shock and tried to defend you also a little. "What is sweet about it? Let us now congratulate the men that they are finally get to know their children? In reality, women are still forced to stay at home in our society. In addition, how should the children lead a normal life? Especially those of former idols. They are already being put in the spotlight and what will become of them later. Like their parents idols? Are they also sexualized? When does that start? " You don't know what to say, you were simply shocked and couldn't say a word. But you didn't have to say anything because Mathew spoke. "In our pluralistic value system, it goes without saying that such things develop. But I am shocked that such industries still sell women and men, portray them as sex objects. Politics only want to keep us from the real problems with such conversations and everyone who supports this supports capitalism and the restriction of democracy." Eunbi looked at the two in shock. "Why do you put that on a political level? Can't someone just enjoy the music and the entertainment without losing social values?" This sweet soul was not only lovely but also super intelligent. "If you consume and support everything, you promote sexism and political secrecy. Who benefits from all of this?" Slowly this debate was too much for you and you feel more and more uncomfortable. "But that's normal business. I still enjoy their music and admire the work of the groups." Eunbin not only defended you and your husband, but also yourself. "Nevertheless, you support sexism and slavery. We have been fighting for women's rights for years and there we see girls jumping on stage in short skirts. They correspond to an ideal that we are not all. For example, I could not be tattooed." She pulled her sleeve up and she could see that her arm was completely tattooed, but then she pointed to you. "Or it would not be okay to be a bit fatter liker her...” She points to you. “...because a flat stomach and a very thin figure are required." You then had to cough. Apparently no one really noticed that you were pregnant, they just think you have just gained some weight. "Hey, that's going too far." Eubin was really angry now and at this moment you get a message from Jaehyun that he was in front of the university. "I'm sorry, I have to go now, unfortunately." You get up and smile. "Yes me too, I still have to learn." Eubin also got up and you leave the cafe together.
"I hope you don't take what they say seriously." Eunbi looked at you with concern and you both slowly left the campus. "No, I can't take things seriously from people who don't know what they're talking about." You smile and Eunbi seems calm. "And you're not fatter. If then it is me." She looks down at her sadly. Eunbi was a bit firmer and she took it all to heart. "That shouldn't be important. She should never have said a comment anyway." You smile and notice how angry Eunbi is. That's why you're trying to calm her down. When you were in the parking lot, you can already see the car, with darkened glasses, that had your license plate. "Jaehyun is already there, should we take you somewhere?" She was so nice all the time and you wanted to reciprocate. "What? No, no. I live here in a student dorm, that's only a bus station away." She smiled and you see the car door open and Jaehyun get out. "Shall we really not take you home." You wanted to offer it to her, but her eyes suddenly grew big and you feel Jaehyun's hand around your waist. Eunbi squeaked softly, turned stiffly and quickly ran away without saying anything. You had to laugh and turn to Jaehyun. "How are you? How are the two?" He kissed you gently and his hands stroked your stomach. "We're fine. Are you ready to see our babies?" You smile and put your hands over his neck. "I can’t wait any longer." He kissed you again and then you set off.
It was your next big check-up at the gynecologist. It was the next important appointment in which you will now find out whether everything is going according to plan. Since you can feel the little ones, you are now less worried than before. Jaehyun was almost more excited than you. When you were talking to the doctor, he held your hand all the time and you notice how restless he got. When the doctor started the ultrasound examination, he only looked at the screen. And when the gynecologist put the device on your stomach and you could see the two of them moving, you were completely fascinated. "I will now check the umbilical cord, the cervix, the amount of amniotic fluid, the placenta and the organs." She tried to explain everything to you, but you were only focused on the screen. You can feel the babies moving, but seeing it at the same time made you so happy. "I would now start with the 3D / 4D ultrasound. I have to know beforehand whether you want to know the gender or not." She replaced the device and you feel Jaehyun stroking your head. "We don't want to know it." You smile and the doctor immediately noted this in her files. "Okay, I'm starting now." You look at the screen again and you could hardly believe it. First, you could see their little feet. They were so tiny and while one baby was kicking, the other had crossed the little legs. Then the doctor zoomed in on their face. You could already see so much, there were just two little people in you. "Oh is that a dimple?" The calmer baby was now sucking on his thumb and it looked as if there was dimple on the cheek. "Maybe, but it doesn't have to be." The doctor examined everything further, but you don't really get any of it because it felt like a dream. "Imagine they would get your dimples as well as Sunoh." You smile and feel Jaehyun kiss your forehead. When the doctor zoomed out further, you could now see the whole stomach and you can see how close the two were. They lay side by side, head to head. It was incredibly cute. "Mr. and Mrs. Jung, the babies are in perfect condition. Everything seems to be perfect. There are no abnormalities. The babies have a perfect size and weight for twins. We are still waiting for your blood test, but I will only check your Blood sugar and iron level. But the babies are really fine." You were incredibly relieved to hear that. The gynecologist sent you the videos and photos by email and you head back to the car. "I am so relieved that everything is fine." You smile and buckle up. "Me too. I can't wait to show the kids." He looked at you and kissed you. At that moment you just feel happiness.
It was late now, but Johnny had managed to get all the children ready for bed. You were really excited that he had all three under control so well. "And they're in there?" Miga looks at the 3D ultrasound and cannot believe it. She taps your stomach and you can feel how one of the babies reacted to their sister. It's so sad for you that nobody else could feel it. Sunoh also had his hands on your stomach and giggled.  "Yeah, they're in Mummie's stomach." Jaehyun stroked his daughter's back and smiled. "Where are you?" She leaned forward and palpated you. "One is here and one is here." You draw along your stomach and Miga was totally thrilled. Her reaction was very different now than it was with Sunoh. But at that time she was still an only child and now she had developed into such a great big sister. "When can they get out?" She continued to ask curiously while Sunoh was already falling asleep in your arms. "It takes a little while, they have to grow a little bit. Now they are too small." This time Jaehyun explained it to her and slowly put her in bed. "Tell them to grow faster. I want to play with them." She giggled and you kiss her. After Miga had also fallen asleep, you two put Sunoh in bed and then goes down to the living room. "Would you like to watch another movie?" You ask your husband, he nodded and you make yourself comfortable on the couch together. You sit in front of him, your shoulder lies on his stomach, so he could stroke your belly. You pull a blanket over yourself because you have already gotten cold and you go through the films that are available. "Hey, can I join too?" Johnny came to you and Jaehyun waved him on the couch. You keep looking and in the end, you agree on a film that Johnny and you thought was good but Jaehyun found a little boring.
Halfway through the movie, you hear a sigh and you know Jaehyun didn't think the movie was great. But you keep watching it when you suddenly feel Jaehyun's fingers a little further down and suddenly under your panties. You press your lips together when he starts massaging your clit under the blanket and you look briefly at Johnny, who was almost asleep. Jaehyun didn't respond at all, just kept looking at the TV. If the feeling gets too intense, you clear your throat to suppress your moaning. But Jaehyun didn't massage you too hard, so you won't get to orgasm right away. In between, he stopped and left you behind. But then he kept starting teasing you again. He then put a finger in you and you feel how needy you already are because your muscles around him contract tightly. You look up at him, but he keeps staring at the television, but at the same time you feel how he put his second finger in you and slowly you can't stand it any longer. "Jaehyun ..." You whisper while he only gives you a kiss on the head in response. He slowly pulled his fingers out of you and starts massaging your clit again. You went crazy, your whole body reacted. It felt like your whole panties were already completely wet. But then suddenly you hear Johnny and you startle for a moment. "Hmm, I think I should go to bed. Good night." He got up, yawned, and then left the living room. You wait until you hear the door that locked. Then you turn around very quickly and sit on Jaehyun's lap. "How can you tease me like this?" You put your hands on his chest and he just grinned. "It's your own fault if you choose such a boring film." He put his hands on the upper side of your thigh and pushed your sweater dress up so that your ass is free. "What if Johnny had noticed?" You start to grind on his middle and you can hardly stand the tension anymore. "That never bothered you in the dorm before." He winked and grabbed your ass. He was right, at that time he had done it often and you both had found it exciting to test limits. "Shit Jaehyun, I need your dick. Now. Inside me." He immediately took off his shirt as you pull his sweatpants down further. His length immediately jumped out and you don't hesitate a second and raise your hips to place it in front of you. Jaehyun put his hand on your ass again and pulled your panties aside with his fingers so that they weren't in the way. You sit down and feel full lust when you have completely absorbed his dick. "Fuck, you make me so hard." Jaehyun groaned and threw his head back. You put your hands on his chest to support yourself and start riding him. The feeling was incredible and you feel how you got closer to your climax. Jaehyun was louder this time too, his moans made it more intense. At some point, he wants more from you. While riding him but throwing your head back. He pushed your dress up so far that your breasts were free. He was playing with your swollen nipples and you feel that your orgasm would come soon. You wanted to lean forward to ride him faster, but when you lean your head forward again, you see someone standing in the room. "JAINA!" You cried out and quickly pulled your dress down. Jaehyun also turned and looked at the little girl who was staring at you with wide eyes. "Shit." Jaehyun swore as you climb down from him. You straighten your dress and walk towards the girl. Then suddenly she started to cry. "Mummy." She was looking for her mother because she missed her and you were so sorry for all of this. "Come on my little one, we're going to your daddy." She rubbed her eyes and nodded.
Slowly you go back to the guest room with her and wake up Johnny, who then takes care of Jaina again. You go up and see Jaehyun waiting for you. "It can't go on like this. We can't do anything in our house anymore. We should enjoy the time before the twins come." You go up to him and kiss him. "It won't be long anymore." You try to calm him down, but Jaehyun was already pissed off. "But it's enough for me now.”

Humorous Fiction: reading recommendations
The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. by Neal Stephenson, Nicole Galland
When Melisande Stokes, an expert in linguistics and languages, accidently meets military intelligence operator Tristan Lyons in a hallway at Harvard University, it is the beginning of a chain of events that will alter their lives and human history itself. The young man from a shadowy government entity approaches Mel, a low-level faculty member, with an incredible offer. The only condition: she must sign a nondisclosure agreement in return for the rather large sum of money. Tristan needs Mel to translate some very old documents, which, if authentic, are earth-shattering. They prove that magic actually existed and was practiced for centuries. But the arrival of the scientific revolution and the Age of Enlightenment weakened its power and endangered its practitioners. Magic stopped working altogether in 1851, at the time of the Great Exhibition at London’s Crystal Palace—the world’s fair celebrating the rise of industrial technology and commerce. Something about the modern world "jams" the "frequencies" used by magic, and it’s up to Tristan to find out why. And so the Department of Diachronic Operations—D.O.D.O. —gets cracking on its real mission: to develop a device that can bring magic back, and send Diachronic Operatives back in time to keep it alive . . . and meddle with a little history at the same time. But while Tristan and his expanding operation master the science and build the technology, they overlook the mercurial—and treacherous—nature of the human heart.
Jane Bites Back by Michael Thomas Ford
Two hundred years after her death, Jane Austen is still surrounded by the literature she loves—but now it's because she's the owner of Flyleaf Books in a sleepy college town in Upstate New York. Every day she watches her novels fly off the shelves—along with dozens of unauthorized sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations. Jane may be undead, but her books have taken on a life of their own. To make matters worse, the manuscript she finished just before being turned into a vampire has been rejected by publishers—116 times. Jane longs to let the world know who she is, but when a sudden twist of fate thrusts her back into the spotlight, she must hide her real identity—and fend off a dark man from her past while juggling two modern suitors. Will the inimitable Jane Austen be able to keep her cool in this comedy of manners, or will she show everyone what a woman with a sharp wit and an even sharper set of fangs can do?
Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights by Salman Rushdie
From one of the greatest writers of our time: the most spellbinding, entertaining, wildly imaginative novel of his great career, which blends history and myth with tremendous philosophical depth. A masterful, mesmerizing modern tale about worlds dangerously colliding, the monsters that are unleashed when reason recedes, and a beautiful testament to the power of love and humanity in chaotic times. Inspired by 2,000 years of storytelling yet rooted in the concerns of our present moment, this is a spectacular achievement--enchanting, both very funny and terrifying. It is narrated by our descendants 1000 years hence, looking back on "The War of the Worlds" that began with "the time of the strangenesses": a simple gardener begins to levitate; a baby is born with the unnerving ability to detect corruption in people; the ghosts of two long-dead philosophers begin arguing once more; and storms pummel New York so hard that a crack appears in the universe, letting in the destructive djinns of myth (as well as some graphic superheroes). Nothing less than the survival of our world is at stake. Only one, a djinn princess who centuries before had learned to love humankind, resolves to help us: in the face of dynastic intrigue, she raises an army composed of her semi-magical great-great--etc.--grandchildren--a motley crew of endearing characters who come together to save the world in a battle waged for 1,001 nights--or, to be precise, two years, eight months and twenty-eight nights.
The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop by Fannie Flagg
Bud Threadgoode grew up in the bustling little railroad town of Whistle Stop, Alabama, with his mother Ruth, church-going and proper, and his Aunt Idgie, the fun-loving hell-raiser. Together they ran the town's popular Whistle Stop Cafe, known far and wide for its friendly, fun, and famous "Fried Green Tomatoes." And as Bud often said to his daughter Ruthie, of his childhood, "How lucky can you get?" But sadly, as the railroad yards shut down and the town became a ghost town, nothing was left but boarded-up buildings and memories of a happier time. Then one day, Bud decides to take one last trip, just to see where his beloved Whistle Stop used to be. In so doing, he discovers new friends, new surprises about Idgie's life, and about Ninny Threadgoode, Evelyn Couch, other beloved Flagg characters, and also about the town itself. He also sets off a series of events, both touching and inspiring, which change his life and the lives of his daughter and many others. Could these events all be just coincidences? Or something else? And can you go home again?

A Miraculous Tale of Rubybug and Cat Blake Chapter 3
Previous / First / Next
If I don’t, who will?
Glynda Goodwitch was never one for tardiness.
Every year she'd get a new batch of students and they would all be the same. On one hand you have the lazy and unmotivated, the ones who coasted through high school and came here expecting an easy grade.
On the other hand, you have the tired and unfocused. These people struggled to get into Beacon and feel the weigh of expectations thrust upon them. They fear that they will not be able to pos the grade with even a C.
The last group are the ones she both loved and feared. These students are eager, motivated and ready. They are fearless in the face of error and have so much potential ripe to be unlocked.
The common factor among these groups was that they all needed discipline. And she would show them that discipline.
Glynda would most certainly do that for the girl who walked into the room just as she was in the middle of her lecture.
"Good of you to join us Miss Rose," She said. "Take your seat."
Ruby nodded, clearly embarrassed over being called out like this. Glynda wasn't sure which of the groups she fit in yet. She could only hope that the short girl learned her lesson.
"You will be taking your seat next to- OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD YOU TWO STOP THAT!"
A pair of girls interrupted their passionate make out session to look at their teacher. One of them had long brown haired and blushed furiously at Glynda's outburst. The other one, who had a black beret on her head and a pair of sunglasses, only smirked.
"Sorry teach," Sunglasses girl adjusted them. "We just couldn't keep to ourselves this time."
Glynda was not amused. "Well since you clearly can't manage such a basic task, then you won't mind if I have Miss Rose take Scarletina's seat?"
"I… well." The shy girl said. "No it won't be a problem Miss Goodwitch."
She moved up from her seat, Ruby taking her place on it. The shy girl had to sit next to Ruby, a desk apart from Sunglasses Girl.
Yang had asked her to make friends this year. Ruby felt she was pretty lucky yesterday, Weiss aside. Maybe this time might also work?
"…Hi!" Ruby said whispering to the shy girl. "I'm Ruby?"
She really hoped she wouldn't get yelled at.
"Huh? I'm Velvet. Velvet Scarletina." The shy girl smiled. "Pleased to meet you."
Oh thank God it was another nice one. However, before any more conversation could be said, Glynda had already returned to the lecture.
"We have only 20 minutes before class ends, so pay attention." Ms Goodwitch said to the students. "The Fashion Industry is a harsh and cruel place where only talent and luck will save you. Thousands enter but only few make it to the top. Because of that, we need to perfect our skills to stand out among the crowd."
Ruby took out a pen and wrote down on her notebook. She was already late, but maybe she could get this right. Something had to go right today…
_______________________________________________________________________
After class ended, Ruby made a bee line for the bathroom.
No one was there (which was odd but she rolled with it), so Ruby rubbed the earrings. Out from them came Tikki, who looked concerned.
"Ruby!" She screamed. "I was so worried did something happened?!"
The girl was forlorn. She sighed sadly.
"I'm so sorry Tikki," Ruby said. "I went to look for Nooro but therewasthisbadguyandheturnedpeopleintomonstersandIcouldn't-"
"Slow down Ruby!" Tikki waved her stubby arms in front of her chosen. "I couldn't understand… did you say monsters?"
She nodded. "Yeah… that bad guy I beat up the yesterday, Roman… he had this tacky bowler hat and awful eyeliner and was calling himself Chadwick (like that Pinocchio character) and he turned all the prisoners into these… these donkey people! It was horrible!"
"Donkey… people…?" Tikki tilted her head in confusion. "Now I know something is strange, Nooro is a kind Kwami. His powers shouldn't be able to be used for evil gain."
Ruby herself had question marks written on her face.
"If that's true then how comes Roman was able to get this power?"
"Because he wasn't." Tikki said. "He was borrowing it from whoever is Nooro's chosen… they wee wielding dark power."
"Dark power?" Ruby asked, "What do you mean?"
The red Kwami hesitated. She closed her eyes, ha an utterly serious look on her face. It was the first time Ruby had seen her truly afraid. It worried her immensely.
"Ruby, this is more serious than I thought. The power… it's similar to an ancient evil that me and the previous Miraculous users faced before. When we lost the butterfly miraculous we just thought it was broken. That would have been preferable to this."
Tikki opened her eyes, a fierce glare.
"Nooro's power has been corrupted by the Grimm."
Ruby scratched the back of her head. "Okay… And who are they exactly?"
A few seconds pass.
"Oh right. You don't know the legends…" Tikki blushed a little. However, she regained her composure. "The Grimm were terrible things… evil things. They fed on the negative feelings human beings have and used it to become stronger. Nooro is the Kwami of Compassion. His power is supposed to heal and nurture whoever he possesses, help them overcome their flaws. Instead, his power is being used to corrupt people into monsters!"
"Like some kind of… Grimmification." Ruby hesitated to say, "It would explain his power."
"Yes that's exactly right! We have to find whoever is causing this and beat them!"
"I don't know Tikki… he managed to beat me this time what if he does it again? How do we even depower him?
"Don't worry about you losing that time Ruby!" Tikki quickly reassured. "It was your first real fight, and now that you know more you can do better this time! As for how to depower him…"
She conjured up the yoyo. Tikki opened it up.
"Nooro's power is to posses someone and grant it powers. However, each of these victims have a special item that contains the butterfly possessing them. If you can break it, you can use the yoyo to capture the butterfly and undo their effects on the world."
"Yeah! I can get help from Chat Noir!"
"Chat Noir?" Tikka's eyes widened. "Shit, that means Plagg's out."
"Wait, who's Plagg? Is he a Kwami?" Ruby asked. "What's wrong with him?"
"Him I don't have a problem with. It's his wielders I'm concerned about." Tikki said. "Beware of those chosen by the Cat Miraculous, Ruby. Such people tend to a sketchy history. I wouldn't want to get you hurt by them."
Ruby shrugged. "I dunno Tikki, she seemed nice. She saved me out today and promised she'd help me find Chadwick."
"She did?" The Kwami raised it's stubby arm to her chin, scratching it. "Just be careful. She could be manipulating you for her freedom. Previous users would woo Ladybugs to receive a kiss, made from love… and then leave them at a moment's convenience. I don't want you going through that heartbreak."
Ruby blushed heavily. 'True love's kiss breaks the spell, huh… like a fairy tale.'
Ever since she was a kid, Ruby loved fairy tales. Tales of heroes, princesses and creatures that lurked in the woods, she loved how even though they go through horrible and painful things they would eventually have a happy ending. Maybe even get married! That seemed nice…
Nowadays, she still liked them. They were entertaining, questionable moments from heroes aside. But Blake had been right when she said the real world wasn't like a fairy tale. Ruby kept that in mind when Tikki continued talking.
"We should go find him immediately! When do we get started?"
"I… I have to be with my friends first." Ruby said. "Once dinner is over then I'll get search for Chadwick again. I promise."
If Tikki noticed anything up with Ruby, she did not say. She only nods, and vanished back into the earrings.
Satisfied, Ruby left the stall. She opened the door only for it to bump into someone.
"Blake? Oh I'm so sorry!"
Her new friend waved it off. "Don't worry about it, Ruby. Where are you headed?"
"I was… umm…" Ruby chuckled. "I was heading to the cafeteria!"
"Good. Me too."
"…"
"…"
"So um… wanna walk together?"
"…"
"…"
"Sure."

Chadwick sat down on a rooftop, panting heavily.
He had made a reasonable amount of distance from the prison. Roman didn't do that much exercise before or during his stint as a crook so this was a bit more than he could take. He wished he had a cool limo getaway car.
Or a scooter. Scooters were nice.
The more Roman thought about, his entire situation was pretty weird. The moment that butterfly landed on his hand and he heard a voice in his mind Roman thought he had been going crazy, Getting the power to turn people into donkeys and fighting those pesky heroes did nothing to soothe his worries about being insane.
Maybe the voice in his head would stop being vague and finally explain herself. He hoped for that as a glowing violet butterfly symbol appeared over his face again.
“You failed to get the miraculous, Roman.”
"Give me a break, woman." He said. "I was just about to when those stinkin' cops were about shoot me."
“If you hadn't gloated for so long you might have been able to take both. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't take away your power and give it someone competent.”
That wasn't good. Roman had to think about this carefully. If he wanted to keep this power, he needed a plan of attack.
"Wait your disembodied majesty, I may have something that can get your special magic jewels!"
The voice hummed in thought.
“Go on.”
He got down on his knees and begged, "Now see here, Mayor Ironwood's gonna give a speech later today. It's gonna attract a whole lot of press… and a mountain of cockroaches I call people. So many people that I can turn into big grey jackasses and overwhelm those so called heroes and steal those earrings! I can make this work, trust me I won't do any screwing around that isn't in service of your goal!"
Chadwick hoped this would work. He wasn't prepared to go back to being Roman Torchwick, the puny criminal who got caught by a freaking toddler. With this power he can be more.
A feeling of sinister content flowed through him. The voice seemed to have made her choice.
“Very well. This is your second chance. If you fail, it is your own fault.”
Good. This was good. Chadwick gave no one but the air a cruel evil grin.
"Thank you mistress… say, what do I call you anyway? I'm pretty sure sure you're not just a voice in my head."
"Well Mr. Torchwick, I could be your magical godmother or your evil queen. So I guess I'll be your very own… Monarch."
_______________________________________________________________________
"Breaking news! The most unusual prison break!"
Lisa Lavender's voice and image was for all the students to see. The cafeteria watched with passing interest at the latest news to available.
"Reports found that all the prisoners had mysteriously disappeared, with donkeys found all over the place! Ladybug and a mysterious new Cat Girl were last seen fleeing the scene. No word had been given but suspicions are now placed upon Vale's latest vigilante…"
On one table, one Yang Xiao-Long sighed.
"Oh great don't tell me she's a fake. A real shame, If I can't trust an anonymous vigilante who can you trust?"
The same table sat not just her, but her… friends? Acquaintances? She hoped that these people were friends
"They can't be the ones responsible," Jaune said. "Okay maybe the Cat Girl might have done something but Ladybug could be going after the real bad guy!"
"At least she got a better costume," Ren said. "The other one didn't feel like her if I say so."
"I just know that I like Cat Lady's outfit!" Nora yelled while raising her fists up and down. "Quick Ren, do we have time to go shopping for cosplay?"
Yang rolled her eyes. She turned to find her precious sister and roomie walking towards them. Noting the seemingly forlorn look on their faces, Yang wondered if something had happened. If she should ask any questions.
"Yo Rubes! Blakey! Why not come with the cool kids at the table?"
Blake glared at Yang. "Call me that again and I'll end your life."
"What's going on Yang?" Ruby asked trying to prevent a problem. "How's the first day for you?"
"It's been going fine Ruby. Boring, but I met some cool people." Yang pointed at the TV. "We were just talking about Ladybug. People disappeared from prison and the news think it's her and some Cat Girl's fault."
Ruby frowned. 'They didn't say anything about Chadwick? That's so strange… or maybe that's how it is. The bad get away and the good get blamed…'
Blake had her own reaction. 'I expected the cops to cover up for their own incompetence. Police look out for each other, not the people. But… Cat Girl? Seriously? Would it have been that hard to get my name right? At least translate Chat Noir to Black Cat or something, I hate this.'
"Hey Pyrrha, you haven't said anything yet." Jaune said. "What do you think of this thing?"
Pyrrha seemed nervous about something. He wasn't sure what about, but Jaune didn't want her to be left out. She seemed pretty nice.
"Ah, well," Pyrrha said. "I'd rather wait until more information comes through. Sometimes we have to wait for the truth to come through right?"
"Yeah… that makes sense." Jaune nodded. "I hope her name is cleared. She saved my bacon and I'm not sure what I'd do if-"
"Ah, Pyrrha Nikos! Right in our midst!"
The group turned their heads towards the offending voice. The sight of Weiss Schnee with something that wasn't a frown or annoyance would normally be a pretty sight, but the gleam in her eye indicated that trouble was afoot.
The way Pyrrha was shaking from her words rang some bells in Jaune's head. She looked around to see if anyone heard.
"Um, could you please keep it down? I'm not-"
"This will be perfect!" Weiss interrupting. She clearly wasn't paying attention to her discomfort. "The great fashion model combined with the famous Vale athlete! Together we will be unstoppable!"
Everyone at the table looked at Pyrrha. Ren and Nora didn't really care all that much. A pal is a pal after all. Yang had an eyebrow raised. Ruby was rubbing her chin as gears were turning in her head trying to figure something out. Blake just stared impassively, not caring either way.
Weiss kept talking over them. Jaune had previously asked her out because she was pretty, but the way that Pyrrha tensed up at being recognized made him have second thoughts.
"I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be even bigger celebrities together! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!"
That about did it. Jaune had stood up now.
"You know what else is great?" Jaune said. "Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to see you again, Snow Angel."
Weiss was irritated at the buffoon from yesterday speaking to her. "You again? Haven't I told you enough that your incessant flirting will get you nowhere?"
"Yeah I figured. But you're not exactly being friendly yourself right now soooo…"
Weiss looked annoyed. Blake observed how Pyrrha seemed relieved when Jaune spoke up. She'll admit that this moment was about the most spine he'd shown but Blake thinks Pyrrha could do a little better than Jaune. He showed basic respect and nothing else.
Still, anything that annoyed Weiss was good in Blake's book.
"Jaune, is it?" Weiss said. "Do you have any idea who you've talking to?
Jaune shrugged. "Not in the slightest. Should I?"
"Miss Schnee, please." Pyrrha begged. "I don't want anyone to know!"
The ice queen ignored her words. "This is Pyrrha Nikos! Graduated top of her class at Sanctum, she's a super star football player who's athletics are known far and wide!"
Looks like the cat was out of the bag. Yang's eyes widened in surprise while Ren and Nora stared at Pyrrha with awe.
Pyrrha for her part was angry. It would have been foolish to think that her secret would be kept hidden for long, but she expected at least a week before it happened. Not immediately the day after arriving. She readied her fist to pummel the offending Weiss right now.
"Really?" Jaune tilted his head in confusion. "Never heard of her."
… What?
Pyrrha reeled a bit from the shock. He really didn't know her? Wonderful words to hear admittedly, but… really? Her fortune couldn't possibly be this good.
Any moment of shock Weiss had quickly disappeared. She scoffed at this clearly moronic ingrate too low for her.
"Oh please, you mean to tell me you're NEVER HEARD of the invincible girl who won the Mistral Football Tournaments four years in a row, establishing a new record!"
Jaune scratched the back of his head. "Can't say I've heard of them no."
Eye twitch. Weiss was feeling a very annoyed eye twitch happening right now.
"There's no way you could not know! She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!"
A loud gasped was heard. It came from Ruby, looking as if a lightbulb was shining over her head.
"Holy crap you were on my cereal boxes!" She pointed at Pyrrha. "I used to eat Pumpkin Pete's all the time back at Patch and I didn't expect you to be a real person! Holy crud this is SO awesome!"
"Yeah, I remember doing that for a charity event." Pyrrha chuckled, shaking her head. "Sadly the cereal isn't very good for you."
Yang laughed heartily. "That's what I keep telling Ruby, but her sweet tooth overrides her common sense."
"Hey!"
"Wow I can't believe you didn't say anything Pyrrha!" Nora said. "Must be so fun being a famous football player! Closest thing to football was when me and Ren threw badgers at the trees expecting them to break down and reveal HIDDEN TREASURE! They didn't though which is so disappointing."
"I kept telling you it wouldn't work." Ren said. "You find treasure inside of caves, not trees."
"See Ren, this is why you're my other half!"
Weiss rolled her eyes at this most unorthodox nonsense. She simply had to get Pyrrha out of there for her own good.
"So, after hearing all of this do you really think you're in a position to talk to Pyrrha at all? You're not quite on our level."
Jaune frowned. "If she wants to talk to us, then that's her deal, Snow Angel. Not yours."
"Don't be ridiculous." Weiss said. "Pyrrha come with me, you need to be with people of your stature!"
At that, Pyrrha stood up from the chair. She glared at the Schnee with fire in her bright green eyes.
"And I'm telling your right now, I don't want to be around you. I asked you multiple times to stop and you haven't done it. Now leave me alone. I won't say it one more time!"
Her stare made Weiss take a step back. Her attempt to save this pure maiden from the savage ingrates had clearly failed. Oh well, she would try again another time. She wouldn't be intimidated by anyone. Definitely not going to run with a tail behind her butt because she was scared.
It was definitely that.
"Fine," Weiss turned around, scoffing. "Throw your lot with useless peons! But I'll be there if you need a true equal."
The heiress stormed off in a huff. As she took steps away, everyone on the table smiled in relief.
"Wow you handled her so well Pyrrha!" Nora said. "Maybe we can break her Schnees Knees next!"
"I… really wouldn't want to do that." Pyrrha sat down again, blushing in embarrassment. "I get enough press already. I just want to be a normal girl right now, at least for a while. Normal knees and all."
"I know what that's all about." Ruby said. Then she frowned. "Ohhhh and I have her for a roomie! Crud my life sucks."
Unable to help themselves, everyone laughed. Yang placed an arm on her precious sister's shoulder and rubbed it reassuringly.
"Hey don't worry Rubes. It's one semester. Soon as it's done we'll work on transferring you out of there into another room. "
Ruby smiled. She was so lucky to have a big sister like Yang around. It always seemed like Yang knew what to say, what to do… how to do it… Ever since Ruby was a little girl Yang had been her hero, the light that shined in the dark. In every way that mattered Yang had the qualities of a hero. She could have been a champion if Ruby hadn't been picked.
Maybe she should be. Ruby still had time to rectify it. Maybe Yang can be the hero she could never be. maybe-
"Ow! Stop it! Stop it please!"
Everyone at the table turned from the table. burly looking guy. He had an ugly crew cut and muscles meant for wrestling. He had been grabbing someone by the hair. Aside from a few glares, no one was lifting a finger to help.
"Shit man," Yang said. "Wonder if a teacher's here."
She turned to her sister, but Ruby wasn't there. Yang followed the sound of footsteps and found she was heading for the trouble.
"Hey Ruby? Wait a sec!"
Ruby wasn't listening. The girl instead travelled to where the noise came from. As she got closer, Ruby could hear words being exchanged.
"Fuckin' bitch, not so tough without your girlfriend here huh?!"
The girl- Velvet Scarletina. Ruby remembered her from class- strained against his grip. "Leave me alone, Cardin! You bastard!"
Cardin Winchester grinned. "Yeah? Well who's gonna stop me?"
"Hey!"
He didn't even notice the tight grip on his arm before he felt the punch coming.

Blake Belladonna waited outside the conference room.
After the incident at the lunchroom, Ruby and Cardin had been called away to receive discipline. Cardin had left a few minutes earlier, not all that worried. Ruby had been inside longer.
Worry had built up within her. Blake hoped Ruby wouldn't get in trouble.
That worry only increased when the door opened. Ruby stepped out of it, looking… unlike herself. Previously Blake had seen with sunshine and smiles pouring from her very being. Now, Ruby's normally flashy grey eyes seemed dimmed, as if dulled by resignation.
It was not something that made Blake happy.
"You okay?"
Ruby looked at her. Thankfully a small smile seemed to form on her lips.
"Maybe… Surprised to see you here Blake." Ruby said. "Where is everybody?"
Blake shrugged. "The headmaster been called to attend a rally later. Mayor Ironwood will be speaking. I decided to stay behind to get you."
"Oh…" Ruby looked away. "Good."
"… Ruby." Blake said. "What did they say to you?"
The girl didn't seem sure what to say. She then sighed.
"Cardin Winchester acted out of line. But you shouldn't have acted so violently. You have to think about his future prospects." Ruby mimicked. She sighed. "They said if something like this happened again I would be kicked out."
Then, Ruby frowned. "It's so stupid. Cardin was the one hurting people. He got a tiny reprimand, but I'm the one who's punished? I thought it would get better in University… but it doesn't. It's so unfair!"
"I'm not surprised." Blake agreed, nodding sadly. "The world can be pretty unfair."
Ruby nodded, not saying anything.
The pair were walking outside. Ruby had noticed that the students were being filed into a line.
"Why are they lined up? Is it for that rally you mentioned?"
"Yes," Blake answered. "Yang and the others are in a different group. We'll see them later."
"Ooohhhh… nice!" Ruby said. "So what's this Ironwood guy all about? I don't really read much news."
"… Ironwood is… controversial." Blake tried to find the right words. "He's considered popular for raising the economy in Vale but some of his policies have been questionable."
"What do you mean by…" Ruby bit her lip. "Questionable?"
"Well," Blake said. "He increased funding for the police department, allowing them access to military grade guns and weapons."
Ruby raised her eyebrows. "Doesn't that seem… excessive?"
"Some think it's needed."
"What do you think then?"
"… I think it's horrible." Blake said. "I haven't had the best experiences with cops, and the last thing we need is to give them more stuff to harass people with."
"Sounds about right." Ruby scratched her chin. "The sheriff back in Patch acted all high and mighty 'cause he had a gun. Freaked my classmates out whenever he walked near the school waving that thing around. If that's one sheriff imagine the whole department like that."
They walked a bit further as the line continued.
There was a thought that had been nagging at Blake. A relatively simple question she wanted to ask. Considering that they were going to be there for a while, it seemed about as right time as any to start.
"Ruby…" Blake said. "Why did you do that thing earlier?"
The girl turned her head around. "What do you mean?"
"Punching Cardin." Blake said. "You knew you were going to get in trouble, but you did it anyway. Why?"
Ruby frowned.
"… Blake? Remember what I told you last night? How I wanted to be like the heroes of those fairy tales?"
Upon hearing those words, Blake's face morphed into a subtle glare.
"Is that it? You wanted to play a hero?"
"No no, it's just-" Ruby shook her head, pinching her nose. "Listen. Cardin wasn't going to stop harassing Velvet, and no one was standing up for her. No one. If I didn't do something, who would? Evil triumphs when good men do nothing. When someone's in trouble, you have to stand up for what's right even if bad things happen to you. Because if you don't… if I don't… then we would be no better than Cardin. The world's damned if nobody did the right thing. Just like you helped me the other day with Weiss, I had to do something. The fairy tale heroes worked for their happy ending. I'll do the same, maybe for everyone else. You understand?"
"…"
"… Sorry."
"No it's fine."
The two said nothing. They continued their walk.
At this moment, Blake felt an odd mix of emotions. Ruby thought she was saving her that time with Weiss… the girl didn't know. That time, Blake hadn't helped Ruby out of any sense of kindness. All she wanted to humiliate the mighty Weiss Schnee, nothing more.
Blake couldn't even say Chat Noir was helpful. She only helped Ladybug out because Plagg told her she would solve all her problems. A simple kiss was all that was needed, and Blake would wait until they defeated Chadwick to ask her for that.
If there was one thing Blake knew, it was that she was not a good person. A good person would help out of the kindness of their heart, wouldn't help people because it was convenient. A good person wouldn't run away when they did something bad, or stand around and watch as someone was going to get hurt. If she was good, she wouldn't have that accursed Plagg on her fingertips.
Every day, Blake looked at herself in the mirror wondering when she will feel fine. Perhaps…
She looked at the ring in her finger.
Perhaps with this, she might finally feel like herself.

The crowd had gathered at Town Hall.
They surrounded a tall platform that was surrounded by several armed guards. The wide metal fences kept the people back.
Amid the cheers and screams of the audience were students either too tired or too jaded to care about the conference either way. One of those was Yang Xiao Long, who, bored out of her skull, searched around for her friend and sister.
"Where's Blake and Ruby?" She said annoyed. "They're supposed to be here aren't they?"
"Hey relax," Jaune smiled. "The crowd's pretty thick after all."
Yang knew as much. Upon hearing claps from the audience, she turned her head to see a tall bearded man in a white suit walking towards the podium. He waved, a practiced smile on his face and a slight shake on his right arm.
He cleared his throat, before taking the microphone into his left hand.
"Thank you all for coming ladies and gentlemen!"
James Ironwood considered himself a lucky man. Having served in the military for years, he knew the value of sacrifice. How men on the frontline were considered expendable by the chain of command, how compromise was necessary in order to complete the mission.
"In just a few months, elections will be heading underway. I will be running a campaign for reelection."
James kept that same attitude in the political arena. He had to pull strings and make alliances in order to get stuff done. Things that have made people uncomfortable, even suspicious. It was worth it in Ironwood's mind.
"Thanks to me, crime rates have gone down by 20% and the city infrastructure has prospered in my time. If you can get me elected again, we can do so much more."
The city is infected by lowlives and scum. He will do whatever it takes to ensure order in his city. He will protect the people from themselves.
His words faded into the background of applause, as Yang heard an apology or two from behind her.
"Sorry we're late," Blake said. "Thick crowd."
"See, I told you!" Jaune pointed at Yang. "Don't be so worried."
Ruby looked up to the podium. "Has he said anything interesting?"
"Eh," Yang said. "Just drumming up publicity for his campaign. Nothing solid, like usual for politicians."
"… on my soul, I promise," Ironwood said. "I promise to do a better job this time around than I did before. I will focus on the real issues affecting this city, and drive them out from our town!"
That got a round of applause from the audience. Ironwood basked in the praise, doing a little bow here and there.
This was not the best part of the job, far from it. The best part of the job is getting behind the desk and going through the boring, practical paperwork that'll allow him to make the big decisions. James smiled. Things were going well.
"Excuse me, Mayor Ironwood! Just a question!"
Now the questions barrage. Sometimes he wished Winter were still there to sort this stuff out.
"Of course," James said confidently. "Just as expected from the press."
"What do you have to say about the Ladybug vigilante? And her Cat-themed assistant?"
Ironwood breathed with a heavy sigh. Of course this would come up. Might as well get it out of the way.
"I will make my position clear. Ladybug is a threat to peaceful society as we know it. If we allow her to run the streets unsupervised she will bring harm the innocent and destabilize order. Her existence will cause an escalation in crime. If she cared to save people, she would join the police. As soon as this meeting is done I will put together a task force to hunt her down."
Now that caused quite a stir. The people were going uproar at Ironwood's declarations, some baffled, some relieved but most of all confusion.
"Guess someone's not a fan." Yang crossed her arms. "Not sure if I'm liking the guy so far."
"He has to pay lip service to law and order." Blake said. "Potential backers wouldn't be too pleased with a politician who openly supports a vigilante."
"That guy's a load of crap!" Nora yelled. "Ladybug's not a bad guy and I'm sure she'd do a way better job of being a mayor than that jerk face over there! Ren do we have the eggs?"
"Nora no"
"Nora YES!"
Ruby herself was not sure how to respond. Ironwood raised a good point. What if she made things worse by stepping in? Roman turned into Chadwick because of her. Maybe-
"Glad to find someone who isn't a fan of that bug!"
Several bowler hats spread around the area. The guards protecting the rally had them stuck to their heads, and dropped their guns. One fired in fear. That caused the crowd to disperse!
"RUN FOR IT!" Someone said. "They're gonna- AH!"
Ruby looked around in horror. Everywhere people ran, there were a couple or so who were writhing in pain, turning into creatures they were never meant to be.
"Get away Ruby!" Yang yelled in her ear. "Run!"
"YANG!"
Ruby felt her sister push her away. She couldn't see Blake, her friends or anyone she recognized in the crowd. Even amid the crowd she was alone.
Her earrings glowed.
Perfect.
_______________________________________________________________________
The situation had turned insane.
It was as if Ladybug was not a lucky charm but a symbol of a doom according to the world of James Ironwood. All it took was saying her name and then the cavalcade of bullshit reigned on him today. To think James was looking forward to a nice meal after this event.
He hid behind the podium. He could that his guards were being turned into hideous beasts, and despair gripped his heart at the thought he could end up like them.
"What the hell is going?!" James tapped his ear piece. "What's causing these attacks!?"
"I don't know sir," The voice on the other line. "Everything is getting chaotic. You need to get out of there."
"Spoken like a true detective," Ironwood said. "This is clearly a terrorist attack. Coordinate the police to block the perimeter."
The static in his ear gave him no answer as to whether his instruction was heard. Just then, Ironwood heard a thud. He surmised that someone had landed on the platform.
"Excuse Mr. Mayor," The stranger leaning his head on the cane. "I hope you don't mind if I take the mike."
Ironwood glared at this gaudy looking villain. He took out the gun from his pocket, only for the criminal to knock it out of his hand with the staff.
"You're a parasite to our city," James said. "I will stop you."
The criminal laughed. "Nah. I don't think so. You just sit there while I wait for the bug."
The man who was Roman Torchwick smirked at the Mayor glaring at him. He never liked Old Ironwood anyway. This has been the second most amazing day of his life. Seeing everyone turn into the horrible monsters they are deep down, causing chaos everywhere… It was truly an honor to see.
He would have to thank the Monarch. Chadwick will get the miraculous, after prying it from Ladybug's dead hands.
"Chadwick!"
Speaking of whom…
"If it isn't the stupid brat I beat earlier," Chadwick turned his head towards the teenage heroine. "Ready to hand over your earrings?"
Ladybug clutched her fists. "You wish. What are you doing here, Chadwick? Why are you involving innocent people into this?"
"Ignoring your remark about innocents." Chadwick said. "I can say with certainty that you are in fact the one responsible for this."
She hesitated. Her eyes widened in fear.
"I… what?"
Good, Roman thought. Shiny knight types tend to be the most easy to manipulate. Just use their sense of shame to your advantage and you win the deck instantly.
"That's right Ladybug, YOU are the one at fault!" Chadwick said. "I was but a mere criminal that night until my new master sent a teeny butterfly and VOILA! Chadwick got his start! I have the power to turn everyone I want into stupid little mules, which I wouldn't have been able to do if you didn't step into the limelight."
The violet symbol of the butterfly appeared over his face.
"Hand over the miraculous my child," A whispery, angry voice could be heard in synch with Roman's own. "and you will save everyone."
She had taken a step back. Roman was close to getting to her. If he kept talking, he would get the Miraculous from her own hands.
"Come on…" He smirked. "Hand it over… and do nothing."
Suddenly Chadwick was struck by a staff to his skull.
He fell to the floor, blood spilling from his mouth. Chadwick looked up to see Ladybug's partner.
"You are a liar and a cheat. Ladybug won't listen to you."
Chat glanced at her partner. Ladybug was breathing in and out, trying to control herself. Chat had seen this sort of thing before. What was needed was encouragement. That was something she could do.
"If Ladybug had not interfered, you would have endangered the life of an innocent boy. You've had a life of crime beforehand. All Ladybug did was beat you before you could perpetrate more harm. She did the right thing then, and she does the right thing now. Whoever your master is, they are not ones to be trusted. If they would endanger the lives of civilians to get the miraculous then how can Ladybug trust them to stand down when she does? The only way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Neither of us will stand aside to let you do as you please. Not now. "
Chat could feel the presence of her lady next to her. Ladybug stood tall, with yoyo in hand.
"Not ever." She said, staring down the criminal in front of her.
Chadwick wiped away from the blood from his mouth. Slowly he got up from the floor, facing the heroes in front of him.
"Stupid girls like you, always demanding things go their way. Fine. I'll just rip off the miraculous from your dead bodies!"
Yang won't lie. The situation was pretty weird.
One minute she and her friends were sitting at a boring political rally. Then everyone was turning into… Donkey dudes? She couldn't really tell what they were.
All she knew was, she had to punch. So she did.
Her hand hurts a bit, but these guys went down easily. That's a good sign.
"LAY OFF MY FRIENDS YOU BUTTS!"
Nora was off to the side whacking people around with her own punches. Now that Yang could take a good look, that girl was jacked! Not quite as much as her, but if Nora told a story about how she suplexed a bear Yang would believe it in a heart beat.
Ren wasn't doing too badly either. He wasn't hitting anyone, but no one was hitting him either. He was swift, moving like the wind to avoid getting swamped.
"Watch out Yang!"
Yang was caught off guard, getting hit from behind.
When she came to, a giant Donkey Man was standing over her. It was snarling, ready to attack anything was in it's way.
And she was right in front of it.
"… hey buddy?" Yang said nervously. "Sorry for hitting your friends?"
"HYAH!"
Something had hit it.
The giant Donkey Men fell to the side. Yang looked up, wondering who could have saved her then. Was it Pyrrha? Nora? Did Jaune do a second cool thing and save her?
Nope.
She certainly didn't expect to see a panicking, scared out of her own mind Weiss Schnee dropping a fire extinguisher.
"You people are idiots!" Weiss was practically screaming. "There are MONSTERS everywhere in this god forsaken street and you're just standing there and fighting?!"
"… Yeah." Yang said. "Seemed about right."
Weiss face palmed at that admission. "Whatever. Come with me, we can get out of here!"
"JAUNE!"
Yang and Weiss turned to the scream. Pyrrha was holding Jaune in her arms… or at least they presume it to be Jaune.
His hoof hands and transforming face are making it hard to be clear.
"Stay with me Jaune!" Pyrrha held Jaune tight. "Fight it! Don't let it control you!"
Yang didn't wait to ask the question. "What happened?"
Pyrrha frowned.
"I was trying to get away, but one of the hats almost landed on me." She said. "He sacrificed himself to save mine."
Jaune groaned in pain. Pyrrha gently rubbed his hair.
"Hey don't worry about it…" Yang tried to reassure her. She wasn't particularly fond of Jaune, but this was too much. "Ladybug will find a way to save him. I'm sure of it."
Yang hoped she did. She wasn't sure what's gonna happen if she couldn't.
_______________________________________________________________________
Roman remember when he thought this was the second best day of his life? He was mistaken.
Trying to dodge Ladybug and Chat Noir's attacks was a tricky feat. Unlike before, where they were exhausted by his Donkey Men, this time they were coordinated. They worked together.
If he tried to jump, Ladybug would use her yoyo to pull him back down. If he tried to run, Chat Noir's staff would bring him in. He would dodge one of the staff's swings, but Ladybug would punch him. He would swing his staff to try hitting them, but that just left him open for another attack.
'It is getting ridiculous!' Chadwick thought. 'Why don't they just give the fuck up and let me go?!'
"Ladybug!" Chat yelled. "The butterfly miraculous needs items to possess people. We need to find the item to break the butterfly out."
"Right." Ladybug nodded. "Working on it."
Ruby remembered Tikki explaining Nooro's power as well. She tried to guess at what item could have been possessed. Her first guess was the cane, but Roman was swinging it around without worrying about it. It was pretty sturdy too.
That left only one other place. How did he transform people into those monsters again…?
"Chat!" Ladybug yelled. "Aim for his hat!"
Chat raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
"I think his hat is the key! Break it or something and I can purify it!"
Roman was sweating bricks. He might actually lose…
"You're not stopping me! I have the power!"
He made a desperate charge at Ladybug, swinging his cane at her. However, Ladybug caught it between her hands.
"What the hell-?" Chadwick felt something come out of his head.
"Let's hope you're right, my Lady." Chat said. "Cataclysm."
The black bowler hat in her hand turned grey. Chat Noir gripped it even as the pieces turned to dust. Seconds later the wind carried the destroyed dust away from the palm of her hand. From the ashes, a glowing violet butterfly fluttered away.
"No no no" Chadwick was kicked away, tumbling to the floor. "Stop! Stop!"
Ruby knew what to do. She brought out her yoyo, and tossed it into the air. The yoyo opened up and captured the butterfly.
"Time to de-grimmify!"
"NOOOOOO!"
"Miraculous…CURE!"
The yoyo spun around. A storm of tiny insects burst from it, and covered… everything. Little ladybugs crawled everywhere, covering people, objects, anything in it's path. The average person would be horrified at the wave. It would have been a sign of a mini apocalypse.
However… it was the opposite of that.
The monsters that Chadwick brought into the world were undone. The donkeys returned to their original human shape, little by little.
"What… what happened?" Jaune groggily opened his eyes. "Did we… get em?"
"JAUNE!" Pyrrha held him close. Her eyes threatened to burst into tears. "You're alright!"
"Looks like Ladybug did it." Yang said. "Good on her."
The bugs where everywhere. More and more people were restored to normal. Any sign of damage had disappeared from their spread.
To make a bad pun… it was simply miraculous.
From the podium, Ladybug and Chat Noir were being watched by a curious audience. Some were frightened, unsure of what to say. Others…
They started clapping.
Ladybug and Chat Noir looked on at the audience applauding them. Both of them smiled. They beat the villain and saved everyone. What more would be needed?
"We did it…" Ladybug said, not quite believing those words. "We did it."
"Yeah." Chat placed a hand on Ladybug's shoulder. "We did."
Ladybug grabbed her hand. The two looked at each other again, closely.
"Was… there something you wanted to tell, Chat?" Ladybug had to ask. She needed to be sure about Chat's answer. "Anything at all?"
If she wanted to stop things here, if she wanted to be free from her curse… Ruby wouldn't have a problem. She did plenty, helping her today.
If Blake could hear those thoughts, she would violently banish them.
"No." Chat Noir said firmly. "We have yet to catch our mysterious butterfly villain. I will assist you until we manage to capture her, my lady. I won't let you down."
Hearing Chat say those words sent Ladybug's heart flutter. A blush appeared on her cheeks. She hadn't felt this way since…
Ironwood stood up from his hiding spot. He grabbed the microphone, and stared at the heroes in contempt.
"That criminal was after the likes of you two!" Ironwood yelled. "You two will be put under arrest!"
The crowd went insane. Yells and insults were thrown at the Mayor for his frankly godawful decision.
"What the HELL man?!"
"They saved our lives!"
"FUCK OFF!"
"LADYBUG! LADYBUG! LADYBUG!"
"I guess we should get going," Chat winked at her partner.
Ladybug nodded. "Yeah."
They jumped away from the scene. Ladybug swung in the air with her yoyo, while Chat crawled up the side of a building. The guards were disoriented from the earlier attack, so they didn't even try to fire on them.
Ironwood glared at the vigilantes.
"You won't get away with this, Ladybug. We'll hunt you down."
_______________________________________________________________________
"Oh thank goodness Ruby, thank you!"
Velvet had been crushing Ruby in a rather tight bear hug. She was shaking Ruby around wildly, which made the smaller girl dizzy.
"No problem Velvet," Ruby managed to say. "Stop crushing me."
"Sorry it's just," Velvet put Ruby down, smiling wildly. "Not a lot of people stand up for me, but you did! I'm super grateful for that!"
"Haha… it was nothing…"
"That was not nothing." Sunglasses girl came to the scene. "I'm Coco. Coco Adel. Thanks for helping my girlfriend out. Shame about Cardin not getting punished."
"Oh she was great!" Velvet hugged Coco. "I expected something like that to happen. I'm just glad she didn't sent away or something."
"Haha, that's true." Coco said. "Listen, Rubes? Me and Velvet need to do some work but thanks a lot. Hope to see more of ya in class."
The pair walked from Ruby.
Well that was nice. Ruby would say she did good today. She considered that a win. With that, Ruby turned around to head to her dorm.
Problem was, her dorm was all the way to the other side of the University. She'd have to cross the courtyard to do it.
It was also raining.
"I guess today wasn't so lucky," Ruby sighed. "Oh well. One bad thing in a day of good things I guess."
She was about to make a step, when she felt something over her head.
"Hey."
Ruby turned to see that Blake was standing next to her. She was holding an umbrella over her head.
"I was…. heading in the same direction." Blake said. "Maybe we could share?
Ruby blushed, but nodded.
The two headed out, the umbrella over their heads.
Ruby stole glances at Blake. She thought Blake looked so pretty then… it's like Chat Noir, the way she swore to help her and how she said she wouldn't let her down. Ruby knew that Blake wouldn't let her down either. Funny… both Blake and Chat Noir both caused her to blush so much today. She wasn't sure what that meant.
Blake thought about Ruby. All things considered, Ruby looked pretty cute right about now with the way she blushed. She also thought of Ladybug. Blake could have asked Ladybug for a kiss so she could go back to normal. Ladybug even seemed to give her an opportunity to do so. But then that would mean people would get hurt, and Ladybug would be alone. She won't let her down. Ladybug and Ruby inspired the good in her, it seemed.
As Blake protected Ruby from the rain, neither noticed two sets of eyes staring at them.
"I'm just gonna say it Ren," Nora said. "They're gonna be together together."
"It's incredibly obvious Nora."

aaaa you really put into words what i have been struggling with for a longer time now :( i always struggle talking with my friends in my native language, as opposed to my online friends who i mostly speak with in english... also some of the things i say in english, i just cant imagine myself saying them in my native language, which leaves me thinking whether i should be saying them... it baffles me how im all lovey dovey in english, but in my native language im unable to express any affection
i’ve spent a lot of my time growing up disliking my native lang, thinking that since it’s just spoken by few people and most of them live in the same country, i wouldn’t need it if i ever went to live abroad. those thoughts were mostly the product of years of exposure to american and british tv and movies, songs and books. exposure that, yes, was necessary in order to improve my english skills but at the same time, i didn’t realise the lack of those media and sources of entertainment and learning in my own native lang. i sadly live in a country that has no self-preservation instict language-wise and that means that kids and adults are still exposed to foreign media and subconsciously learn to value the sound of the english language over their own. (countries like turkey, france, spain, italy have great dubbing industries that help kids, adults, immigrants learn the language of the country, but also offer the subtitled version to the part of the population that enjoys watching content in the original language)
i think it’s that exact exposure that makes people unwillingly separate themselves from their native lang when they come online. we reserve our language for more intimate situations bc we believe that words like i love you carry a whole different weight. and it’s kinda true but it’s also kinda in our heads. english provides non-native speakers with a protective “wall” that allows us to say things more openly bc it’s a language that speakers can still shape to fit their needs: take for example the internet language and how many of those things that you write in engish wouldn’t make sense or can’t even be said out loud in your own lang, like you said. i may be wrong but, from my exprerience with translation, i think that the internet lingo has given us the false idea that english provides a linguistic freedom that one can’t achieve in their own language and that’s not true. all languages have the potential to their linguistic freedom, we’re just too busy shaping the english language that we forget to do it to our own (new words get added to the english language very often, whereas that happens rarely for other and minor languages; we just adopt the english terms) bc many of us (younger generations on the internet) don’t read books, articles, listen to music or watch tv, movies in our native language as much/anymore. and the answer to why that is, is basically the western influence over language, our entertainment, our media and basically everything else. when you are a country as big and as powerful as the us (and maybe the uk) you want to exude that power over the world, but at the end of the day, the way american media has taken over everything feels, dare i say, propagandistic? also there’s the topic of the internet being a threat to languages but it’s already a long post...
my conclusion is, don’t think less of your native language. read and write in it as much as you do in english and start saying i love you again even if it feels like it makes you vulnerable. so many things get lost in translation and i believe saying i love you in english is one of them...

tokumusume’s list of best and worst movies and dramas watched in 2019:
Tumblr media
There’s a new category this year. Inspired by kpopalypse, welcome the Honorable Mentions! Movies that weren’t exactly bad but also weren’t good. Movies and dramas are qualified to enter if I watched them for the first time this year, not that they were released this year. Click on ‘keep reading’~~
Best Movies:
1.      Parasite
Another masterpiece from the director of Snowpiercer (let’s pretend Okja never existed). A poor family con their way to a rich household. Choi Woo-Shik from The Witch (see below) is the eldest son and mastermind, fabulous as always. Definitely the best movie of this year. For me, movie of the decade.
2.      The Witch Part 1 The Subversion
This movie is amazing, hard to describe without spoilers. A perfect mix of Stranger Things and Hanna. Choi Woo-Shik can come to my house and kick my ass anytime. I can’t wait for part two.
3.      Death Trance
Visually stunning, kinda like Amemiya Keita’s style in early Garo or Mad Max. I wish the movie was longer and the characters were better fleshed out, Ryuen the monk and the little girl had so much potential... The most interesting thing about this movie is how sexualized the main male character is compared to the female ones, and apparently, the swords were designed to look like veiny penises (can’t find a source for this info), and yes, they do look like veiny penises. The final showdown is heavy with sexual energy. Have I already said that Ryuen deserved better? #RyuenRights
4.      Gintama 2: Rules are made to be broken
The barber shop scene is a fucking cinematic masterpiece. I never laughed so much like I did with this movie. The way it doesn’t take itself seriously, the meta jokes, everything is perfect. Even better than the first one.
5.      Kingdom
While I think that some fight scenes were way too long (like the bamboo forest one), the dynamics between Shin and Hyou/Eisei were highly entertaining, at least in my shipper eyes. I like that (SPOILER) the King of the Mountain People is a woman and not once they try to call her Queen. She is a King. Hashimoto Kanna is adorable as a Ten, Kanata Hongo does a great job as Eisei’s psycho brother, Sakaguchi Tak waves his sword around, the usual stuff but with added layers of dirt and sweat.
6.      Bravestorm
A movie I lovingly call “Japanese Pacific Rim”. Full of Kamen Rider stars (Hino Eiji! Misuzawa Haruka! That girl from Heisei Generations, the one with a sword! She has a sword in this as well!) and giant robots (god, I love giant robots!), I waited so much for this movie and it exceeded my expectations. I just wish I could’ve watched in theaters, it had a limited showing in my country.
7.      Twelve Suicidal Children
What begins as a murder mystery ends with a twist you won’t see coming. All of the actors are amazing, but special mention to Sugisaki Hana and that guy from that one boy group I forgot the name but can’t be bothered to Google.
8.      Gakkou Gurashi
Four girls and their teacher try to survive the zombie apocalypse trapped inside the school. This one destroyed me for days.
9.      Forest of Love
I’ve watched some Sono Sion movies but nothing prepared me for this. Be aware of extremely gory sequences and sensitive topics. Hinami Kyoko is so amazing as blue-haired, punk girl crush Taeko that I totally didn’t notice she was AkibaBlue in Akibaranger.
10.  The Host
After watching Parasite I decided to go on a Bong Joon Ho binge and watched this horror movie. Not as good as Snowpiercer and Parasite in my opinion but heart-wrenching nevertheless. The little girl is the star of the movie.
11.  The Hungry Lion
A story about the dangers of social media and slut-shaming. I want to punch Mizuishi Atom in the face.
12.  Cromartie High
A little absurd comedy about yakuza-style high school boys (played by middle-aged men lol) forming a club to battle aliens summoned by themselves just because. It made me laugh like a child. A hidden gem.
Honorable Mentions:
1.      River’s Edge
Depressing as fuck. Warning: the cats die. It’s not graphic but it’s traumatizing. Yoshizawa Ryo is a gay boy who sleeps with old men for money. There’s a graphic sex scene (not Yoshizawa, sadly) where my only thought was “That thing is gonna get stuck in there! Use a condom!” Can’t remember much from it except for these three scenes.
2.      The Disastrous Life of Saiki K
Yamazaki Kento has the acting chops of a dead fish but it comes handy for playing a teen with psychic abilities and zero social skills. Hashimoto Kanna is one of the prettiest girls in Japan. Yoshizawa Ryo with white and blueish hair looks more like Sakata Gintoki than Oguri Shun in the Gintama live action. The end is a huge let down but the fun ride is worth it.
3.      Ano ko no, Toriko
Congratulations to Yoshizawa Ryo, he has FIVE movies in my list of favorite movies this year! This is to make up for crowning GIVER as the biggest waste of time of 2018, this list is totally not biased, lol. “Ano ko” could be just another romance movie but the (very) little insight into how the entertainment industry works and not focusing on school life made me love it. Poor Sugino Yosuke being left behind again, when will this boy get the main girl?
4.      Monstrum
It doesn’t reinvent the wheel but it’s pleasant enough to fill a rainy afternoon with a lot of blood and spilled guts. Hyeri of Girl’s Day is the heroine and Choi Woo Shik is the commander she falls in love with.
5.      Weirdo Go
I confess I watched this one just to see Ji Li (aka my snake son Nie Huaisang) dressed as a woman but it was enjoyable and not that problematic.
6.      Real - Kanzen Naru Kubinagaryu no Hi
Directed by the same guy that did “Creepy” and “Before we vanish”, there are lots of twists you won’t see coming. And a dinosaur. A fucking dinosaur.
7.      Tomodachi Game: The Final
The movie loses its focus halfway through then picks up again minutes before ending. Yoshizawa Ryo delivers again as the sadistic Yuuichi, much like his role in Gintama. The plot twists are the star of the movie.
8.     The Living Dead
Sorry Wen Ning. I saw the plot twist coming in the first 30 minutes of the movie, not very smart of the writer. His personality did a 180° turn for worse and I’ll demote the movie to an honorable mention for it. Gao Han is cute though, I would like to see him as a better character.
9.      Backstreet Girls
Some recycled scenes from the drama to situate the viewers, a completely new story for the movie, it is certainly funny and enjoyable, if you can get past the forced gender reassignment surgery background and transphobic jokes (you shouldn’t get past it btw). I like the soundtrack.
Best Dramas:
1.      The Untamed
Do I need to say more?
2.      The Tale of Nokdu
This Korean romance had everything to be a mess but it wasn’t!!! *claps* I don’t hate the main female character and the whole palace politics actually kept me interested until the end. The complete shift of atmosphere mid-season was strange at first but ultimately very welcomed.
3.      The Naked Director
Netflix original Japanese content is amazing. This one is a look at the life of a legendary porn director in the late 80s, I learned a lot about the history of Japanese porn and censorship (yay pixels!) and went looking for his, erm, works. Very graphic, 69/10 don’t recommend watching with people in the house.
4.      Channel wa Sonomama!
I don’t remember it well but it’s about a news station and what is like to be a journalist and it was very interesting and funny.
5.      SCAMS
Forgettable. Sugino Yosuke with black hair cons old people via phone calls.
Worst Movies and Dramas:
1.      The cat in their arms
The cats spend 90% of the movie in human forms, and halfway through it they simply abandon the cats’ plot to show a fucking long montage of a weird guy painting a picture of a nude girl. It’s also super creepy to see a grown-up man acting like a cat, getting belly rubs and eating cat food from a bowl. Yoshizawa needs to choose his roles more wisely.
2.      Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
A waste of Suda Masaki’s talent. Can Japan stop casting Tsuchiya Tao already?
3.      Samurai Marathon
Almost two hours of dirty men running through a forest. Maybe Japanese History experts will enjoy it, because I certainly didn’t.
4.      Lady Vengeance
While there are legit great moments, I didn’t find this “classic” to be anything special. The animal cruelty was too much for me.
5.      Hot Gimmick
This movie makes Bohemian Rhapsody’s editing look like a work of art. There are more flashing cuts than a T-ARA music video. I have no idea who likes who, who’s banging who, what even are they saying. Too much poetic shit for my like. I wanted to see Shimizu Hiroya naked. I was bamboozled.
6.      The Divine Fury
While some parts were interesting, at the end I still don’t know if the protagonist is possessed by a demon (if yes, then why would he help a priest destroy his friends?) or if he was blessed by God when his father died and talked to him (the glowing hand thing, why and how??). The exorcism parts are really, really scary, or maybe I’m just a chicken, but I had to avert my eyes. The best (only) part is that the protagonists are hot. Hello Woo Do-Hwan, you can sacrifice me to Satan any time…

➜ EVENT: star bright casting ➜ LOCATION: park hyatt hotel - interview room ➜ DATE: sunday 28th 2020
Tumblr media
why was he doing this? subjecting himself to this ordeal all over again? was this what he wanted? did he really want to start himself on this journey that lead him down the path of self destruction all over again?
to put it simply, yes, he did want to do all this again. when he’d come back from his three month long disappearing act he’d known from the moment he set foot in seoul that he’d be fighting for this dream once more. of course, people would judge - he’d had his chance, and he’d blown it. but performing, being on stage, dancing and singing for people was something ten had always wanted to do, and probably always would want to do. so, it’d be a disservice to himself if he didn’t take every opportunity presented to him to get back to where he was before.
being judged was what led ten to his breakdown, and he knew it’d be hard to deal with being judged all over again, even more so now, but his therapist was on speed dial if he needed her, so he couldn’t let his fears take over again. not this time.
he has his doubts as he’s filling out the form, wondering whether he’s too old to try again, or if he’ll be judged poorly for throwing everything he had away, but somehow the form gets filled out and then he’s just waiting to be interviewed. he’d never gone to something like this before. when he was signed in the past he’d been noticed through an event and invited to audition, rather than go out of his way to attend one. the second time he’d only had to send in a few videos he’d filmed himself.
this feels different.
eventually, his names called, and though he notices the heads of some other people waiting snap up to look at him, recognising his name, he ignores them and heads into the interview room. he’s not sure what his chances are like, since they might just write him off because they’re worried he’ll quit like he did before, but he knows he’d got experience in front of cameras, and with being interviewed, so he’s not nervous.
he stands, perfectly at ease in front of the camera while they check the sound and the video, then give him to cue to introduce himself.
“my names chittaphon leechaiyapornkul, or ten. i’m 22 years old and a dance teacher at 1million dance studio, and a first year dance student at korea national university of arts.” it’s short, but sweet, and punctuated by a relaxed smile at the end. he wonders for a moment whether whoever will watch these will recognise him - he’s changed a lot since he was in the idol world.
the interviewer, eyes on her clipboard, finally glances up at him and speaks.
“thank you. now, i’ve just got a few questions to ask. please look at the camera while responding.” ten nods, glancing to the camera, then back to her.
“so, why do you want to be an idol?”
ten’s not entirely sure how to answer, having already been one, and given it up. “ever since i could walk and talk i’ve loved to sing and dance. i can’t remember a time in my life where i wouldn’t have rather been dancing.” he smiles, a genuine smile as he thinks about his greatest passion. “i was lucky enough to have the chance to be an idol for a while. dancing and singing on stage, interacting with the people who really cherished my performances and my skills gave me the biggest rush of euphoria. there isn’t a single thing in the world that’s comparable to the feeling of knowing you’ve brightened someone’s day just by doing something you love. i wasn’t able to keep ahold of my dream for a long, due to health issues, but now that i’m better, i know i can’t just give up on my dream. it’s not too late for me to try again.”
“you mentioned both singing and dancing - which is your best skill? do you have any other notable talents?”
“i’m a dancer, first and foremost, but i do love to sing as well.” he responds with a smile. “i started out focusing more on rapping, but found i preferred singing after a while, so focused my energy on improving in that area more so. but, really, dancing is my biggest passion. i’m at my best when i’m dancing. nothing makes me happier than dancing. i love all styles!” he beams, thinking of all the styles he has yet to master. “i’m mainly based in hip hop, but i’ve been dabbling in contemporary recently, and have taken a few ballet and tap classes over the years. my ultimate goal would be to master all styles of dance, even if that is a little far fetched.” he laughs as he finishes speaking.
“you wrote on your form that convex are an inspiration to you - your former group, correct? could you elaborate more on how they’re an inspiration to you?”
this question tugs at something still raw in ten’s chest and he finds it hard to push a proper smile onto his lips this time. “everyone in that group were, and still are, like brothers to me. i don’t personally know the new members, but even so, i care very deeply about them by association - they’re carrying on the convex name when i couldn’t, and just seeing them all work so hard to continue to do something i know we all loved to do, and all still do, despite us being separated, inspires me to work harder to get back to that level. so that maybe i can perform on the same stage as them again one day. i’d like to meet them again on award shows, maybe even watch them win right there beside them.”
“you had to leave convex for health issues, you say. could you tell us more about that? were there any other obstacles in your life you’ve had to overcome that were bigger than that?”
ten’s quiet for a moment as his stomach twists and turns, recalling the day he had to leave sphere, leave convex, leave his family. he knows it was for the best, but it doesn’t help to dull the pain. “yes. i... became a trainee at a very young age, when i hadn’t fully figured myself out yet. being a trainee is hard, harder than a lot of people expect or anticipate. harder than i anticipated, that’s for sure. i never really had the time to learn healthy coping mechanisms before i entered the entertainment industry, and because of that i wasn’t able to look after myself very well when things got hard. being an idol was ever harder, and i refused to ask for help until it was too late. i had to step back for my health, even if it was the hardest thing i ever had to do. i knew if i didn’t i could really hurt not only myself but the group, so i did what have to be done. i took some time away to get help and learn those coping mechanisms i didn’t have before, and i’m much better now. i’m ready to face the hardships of being a trainee, and an idol, again.” he thinks about the second part of the question and hums. “my childhood was tough. my older brother and i never got along, and he made growing up around him pretty difficult. i didn’t really do much to overcome that, sadly, as we’re still not on great terms, but i did move away with my mum, which helped a lot. being away from him, i think, probably helped us both out. we just have clashing personalities.” he says, knowing he’s sugar coated and underplayed the whole thing to hell and back.
“through these hard times, did your family help you out? could you tell us about them?”
family. something ten still hasn’t found a good balance with. it’s not something he enjoys talking about, but it is something he’d had to talk about with his therapist, had to face up to and figure out. “they wanted to, but i had to do it on my own, i think. it was right for me to take the time to be on my own and focus on myself and being happy in myself without needing outside help, at least at first. my dads side of the family, apart from my sister, well, i’m not very close to them, and likely wouldn’t ask them for help. my older sister though helped me a lot growing up, and still helps me now. she’s one of the few people i feel comfortable going to for help. my mums side was definitely a lot of help when i came back to seoul early this year. i have two younger siblings on my mums side, a brother and a baby sister, and spending time with them is always fun and relaxing, so whenever i feel stressed i make sure to visit them.”
“okay, only one more question. if you weren’t trying to be an idol, what do you think you’d be doing right now?”
ten thinks hard, struggling to find an answer as he realises he’s never even thought of an alternative. “i’ve never thought much about it. not being an idol never seemed like a possibility. i feel like it’s what i’m destined to do. but i suppose i’d be finishing university, probably teaching dance as i am right now. i’d always be doing something to do with dancing. i can’t see my life any other way.”
“thank you, that’s all. do you have any questions?”
“no, i don’t think so.”
“alright, well, have a nice day.” the interviewer stands and heads over to the door to hold it open for ten to exit through.
“thank you, you too!” he replies with a smile, walking through the open doorway and out past the other people waiting. as he makes his way out of the hotel he wonders whether a rejection would sting as badly as he thinks it might. would his fear of never having another chance, having been blacklisted for quitting, be realised?

[ARTICLE] X-ENTERTAINMENT HOLDS DEBUT SHOWCASE FOR GIRL GROUP, SYMPHONi
X-Entertainment’s SYMPHONi held their debut showcase on November 15 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong.
SYMPHONi kicked off the showcase by performing their B-side “Moon”, an upbeat EDM song co-written by the group’s rapper, MiMi. Immediately following the performance came their introductions; the members introduced themselves individually.
EV: I’m EV of the fresh-faced group, SYMPHONi! I'm the leader who also works on our choreography. Please love and support us in the future!
Jade: Hello. I’m SYMPHONi’s lead vocalist and lyricist, Jade. Please look after us.
Mimi: Hello, SYMPHONi’s cute main rapper Mimi here! Thank you all for meeting us~
Mei: Hello, I am SYMPHONi’s visual and lead dancer, Mei! We’ve worked really hard on our debut, so please watch carefully!
Serah: Hello! SYMPHONi's sunshine maknae, Serah, here. I hold the main vocalist title and compose for the group. Look at my unnis, aren't they beautiful? Please watch us well; we have a lot to show you!
When asked about the group’s meaning, the leader described SYMPHONi as the group that’s capable of filling up an entire venue through their charisma alone; combined with their talent, the five girls can put on a powerful performance.
“Our talent will speak for itself.”
What’s unique about SYMPHONi are the members’ experiences before debut.
EV is the daughter of a famous dancer and producer, Jade was a former contestant on an MNET survival show, and Mimi and Serah were previously introduced as DALBIT. Each of the members expressed their feelings on the expectations the public has and being a member of a girl group.
EV: Before we had officially debuted, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of if I was capable of being the member that these talented girls looked up to. As the leader of an upcoming group, there’s already pressure to do well, especially in such a competitive market. I don’t feel my parents gave me any advantages here; they never even crossed my mind. My and my members talents’ will be the reason we go far, so you’ll have to watch us closely.
Jade: [Being in front of the cameras] was a little uncomfortable at first. I’ve never performed onstage before, so I wanted to make sure that I did well for our members. I focused so much on making sure I didn’t make any mistakes, that I think my expressions were a little… [She laughs.] But with the members by my side, it became comfortable and fun.
Mimi: We have a strong team of girls here, and the company does its best to give us everything that we need. I think SYMPHONi can go far in the industry, and I look forward to growing as an idol group, but as well as close friends. I hold them dear to me.
Serah: You can expect to see many colors of myself. I don’t want to be known as just cute Serah, but attractive and cool Serah, too. I want to show all aspects of myself. "LADY" will start show a cooler side, so please look out for it. I want to be as cool as MIMI and EV unni. They're so powerful on stage; maybe I could be like that some day. I also have a hand in composing more, I hope our projects lead me to showcase even more writing talents. You’ll see WRITERSEO here soon enough!
One member, Mei, didn’t have any experience before SYMPHONi. However, she didn’t have any worries about debuting.
Mei: Truthfully, I am no longer nervous about debuting. While we were getting the EP ready and practicing the choreography I would get nervous, but after expressing my feelings to the members, they calmed my worries and I now feel confident to debut.
Mimi and Serah’s relationship is particularly special; they’ve followed each other loyally since their first encounter under Royal Crown, a now-defunct company.
Mimi: Serah and I have known each other for a while and we’ve been through a lot over the years, so this debut means a lot to both of us. Debuting is always exciting, but doing it with someone who is your best friend makes it more special and meaningful. I’ll never forget it.
Serah: Mimi is the love of my life, honestly. Everyone has that person that speaks to your soul, who is not a lover romantically but platonically. She supports me-- everything I've put out or written she's supported. When dealing with boys and family issues, Mimi has always been there. She's everything to me and I cherish her so much.
Mimi: Serah isn’t only like a sister to me, but one of my closest friends. I really value the friendship she gave me. Ever since I met her, she’s always been there for me and shown how supportive she can be. She’s like a cute little baby. I feel like I have to protect and love her endlessly.
Love is the central theme of “LADY”. When asked about the meaning of “Moon”, Mimi described it as a song that describes wanting to become closer to someone.
Mimi: “Moon” is a song about wanting to get to know someone on a deeper level, but part of them is always hidden from you despite your efforts of learning more about them.
The explanation led to a similar B-side called “Goodnight Like Yesterday”. Albeit slower in tempo, Jade described a different one-sided longing.
Jade: “Goodnight Like Yesterday” is the opposite of “Lady”. It’s about someone who laments a relationship that is on the verge of falling apart. The melody is light and bittersweet, reflecting the thoughts of the person who’s in denial of losing the person they love.
Who is SYMPHONi?
After their second performance, SYMPHONi took the opportunity to acquaint themselves with their fans by playing games and answering fan questions, including showcasing their individual charms.
EV: Gymnastics! I can do the splits, backflips, and a backbend.
Jade: Acrostic poems [using the letter of each word to create a line of poetry].
Mimi: I...can do cheeseburger aegyo!
Mei: Like EV unni, I’m very flexible. I can turn my hands around in a full circle.
Serah: I can play the guitar and make unnis fall for my charms!
When Mimi showed off her cheeseburger aegyo, the fans reacted positively. The members had different responses, much to the amusement of everyone else; the older members were embarrassed, while the younger members were supportive of Mimi’s aegyo.
The next question also showcased the girls’ creativity. A fan asked each member what they’d do if given a pencil and piece of paper.
EV: I’m not much of a writer, nor am I great at drawing, but my initial thought is that I’d write a letter to my parents. Since I’ve been training, it’s hard to see them or even call them, but I want them to know that I’m doing well and that I’m thinking of them.
Jade: It depends on how I’m feeling at that moment. I’ve really been into origami lately, so I might try and make something out of it; I’d use the pencil to add details once I finished.
Mimi: I would probably do some cute little doodles. If I don’t have anything to do, I just sit and draw what ever may come to mind.
Mei: Right now? Ah…I’d write notes to the fans that came here today, and I’d fold the paper into an airplane and throw it into the crowd. [She smiles and nods, making a heart with her hands.]
Serah: I would tear it nicely and write sweet notes to each of my members with cute little drawings! They deserve cute messages. I might even give one to my older sister and brother.
Next, the girls began to choose questions that were handwritten by the audience.
Q. Which member(s) do you feel the closest with and why?
EV: I feel protective over all of them, and I don’t say this to spare anyone’s feelings. I make a conscious effort to make sure everyone’s included in our activities. They bring out an instinct in me to make sure they’re happy and healthy, even if I don’t say it forwardly. I want to take care of them.
Q. If you could switch bodies with any member for a day, who would you choose and why?
Jade: My answer might seem a little unexpected, but… [She looks at Mimi.] I’d like to switch with Mimi. Mimi is known for being our vitamin in the group. She also has a lot of aegyo. Compared to her, I have neither the energy nor the ability to act cute, so I’d like to experience it for a day.
Q. You previously starred in a rap survival show, but were eliminated rather quickly. What were your thoughts and feelings as you prepared to be on the show, and how did you deal with the elimination?
Mimi: I was only eighteen when I was cast to join [a rap survival show]. I’d never really rapped prior to this, so I didn’t know a lot since I had only ever done it when I was alone. I thought if I tried hard enough, I’d be able to last a few rounds, but sadly I lost in the first round. It was rough. I felt so disappointed in myself for it and I was a little depressed after I went home. Since then, I think my rapping has improved greatly and I look forward to showing everyone what I can do.
Q. Your Korean is really good! Do you think your Korean is the best out of all the members? Who do you think has the hardest time with foreign languages?
Mei: [She smiles awkwardly at the compliment before collecting herself.] Coming from a foreign country while knowing only a little of the language, even after learning a lot, I don’t think my Korean could ever surpass the rest of the members. Sometimes in the dorm, I mix up my languages still-- it’s a steady process and I think once you start learning a different language, you never stop. I don’t think any of the members have a harder time with foreign languages; we’re all trying our best to learn for our foreign fans and there are all parts we struggle with, but we’re getting better each day. We hope our foreign fans watch out for us, we’ll make you proud!
Q. You’re very affectionate towards the members. Who receives the most and least affection from you?
Serah: I think it's pretty obvious Mimi unni receives the most love. She's had the most time to obtain it. It's been almost seven years since we've met; that's almost half my life. I see her as a big sister, so she gets a lot of love.
That's not saying I don't love on my other members. Mei unni receives lots of love because she's so pretty, cute, and talented. EV unni receives a lot of love because she's our beautiful leader who takes care of us; if I ever need anything, I can go to EV unni. I give her love afterwards. I can learn a lot from Jade unni-- I have already. She's so smart and gorgeous. I trust her a lot and love on her differently; I enjoy sitting and talking with her, and creating with her.
Each of the members receive love in their own way. I love all of my members and I hope you will too. They're so talented and precious...please treasure them like the jewels they are.
Their final question came from the MC, who asked the girls about their thoughts on their debut EP and how they participated in “LADY”.
EV: There were late nights where all of us would stay up and write tirelessly. This EP meant the world to us, and we wanted to pour our hearts out into it. I worked hardest on our song “Don't Text Me”. While I've never properly been in a relationship, I wrote my feelings into this song with the help of Jade. Yeah… [She chuckles.]
Jade: The theme in “LADY” was unique to me because I don’t have any experience with love. While I was writing with EV, I felt a little nervous about portraying these thoughts appropriately. I received encouragement and help from the people around me, so I think the song came out well. We [the members] really came together to showcase our colors.
Mimi: I was really excited! It was nice to know that after our hard work, we were finally making it happen. I think I cried when we were told we’d debut. I wrote my own raps for the EP with the help of not only my members, but the producer too.
Mei: Ah…our debut EP was already in production when I joined SYMPHONi, so there wasn’t much left for me to do. Our members worked really hard, and I’m very proud; I think it came out very well. I want to return the favor and make everyone proud with our performances!
Serah: It was very exciting, writing with my talented members. I remember back in Royal Crown, I couldn't write very well. Mimi and I experienced a lot before our EP release, writing music we enjoy and love with other talented women. It's a dream come true. I really hope our fans really enjoy our music and listen well. We put a lot of work and heart into this release!
After the interactive segment of the showcase, the SYMPHONi members introduced the last three songs of their EP: “LADY”, “Don’t Text Me”, and “Sweet and Easy”.
EV: Our title track, “LADY”, is a cool song about being with someone who doesn’t share your feelings anymore. Even if they don’t feel the same way about you, you still want them to tell you how they truly feel. The song has a retro, nostalgic vibe that makes you want to dance and sing along.
Mei: “Don’t Text Me” is about a relationship that has ended, and wanting to move on but the other person won’t let go. It expresses frustrated feelings, but does so with a sweet melody.
Serah: “Sweet and Easy” is a callout to longing for a loving and carefree relationship, something I hope to have when I age.
“We wouldn’t be here without your love and support.”
After their final performance, SYMPHONi spent the last thirty minutes of the showcase with the audience relaying their final thoughts and expressing gratitude to everyone who came to support them.
They also thanked their family and fans in four different languages-- Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, English-- and KSL, to the surprise of many.
EV: All of us have worked especially hard to be here today-- not just on this stage, but in our lives. We have everyone here and our families to thank. I’m very grateful for all the attention we’ve garnered in such a short time, and the amount of love our fans gave us without falter. I couldn’t be more thankful. I wish to bring you more great music in the future. Please continue to watch us.
Jade: “LADY” is not only our first EP, but our first work as SYMPHONi. Though we’re still lacking, we hope that you enjoy our songs and continue looking after us. I’m extremely thankful that I get to debut with five members who’ve become like family to me; let’s continue working hard and moving forward together.
Mimi: First, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has helped not only myself, but my other members over the years. I’ve had a rough journey to become a member of SYMPHONi. I also have to prove my spot among these talented ladies. My family has always supported me and I want to make them proud.  Thank you to everyone who joined us today.
Mei: I want to thank my family for encouraging me to travel all this way and continue my dreams. It helped me grow out of my shell more. My fans are so supportive...you're a pillar of strength for me, and I’ve found light and support in you all, including the members. I’m so happy to be a part of SYMPHONi, and wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my friends, family, and fans. I hope you enjoy our first EP, and that you’ll watch out and be excited for more.
Serah: My whole family is here today, on and offstage. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get this far. The road was hard and painful, and there were moments when I thought of giving up. I had a few heroes during those times. My big brother Jung-min supported me through my hardships and really believed in me. He supported me financially and emotionally through so much. [She starts to tear up.] Even now, he's here watching this showcase to support. I know now that wherever I go I have my own personal cheerleader and hero. Thank you for helping me get to this point. I hope all our fans, family, and friends enjoy this EP. We've worked so hard, look after us well. The music always speaks what the heart cannot.
Please continue to show love and support for SYMPHONi as they embark on their new journey!

Costume Party - Noah Centineo
Tumblr media
A/N: this was requested by the lovely @irishfangirlxx as part of my Fall Blurb Week! hope you like it girl x.
The large LA mansion was packed full of drunken young adults. It was a real who’s who of the entertainment industry. From actors to musician, models and social media stars. Literally everyone you followed on Instagram was at this party.
Luckily for you, your friend had gotten casted in a new show that became quite popular almost overnight. You’d met a few of her cast members back when you’d visit her on set and most of them were here. Including the very sweet and talented Lana Condor, who already felt like a close friend. It hadn’t taken long for you and your friend to spot Lana amongst the groups of people.
“Hey girls! Are you having fun?” she greets you both with a quick hug and a large smile.
“We just got here, but it’s definitely the biggest party I’ve ever been too” you didn’t know anyone in your hometown who lived in such a big house so tonight was for sure a new experience.
Lana tugs your friends arm to grab her attention. “You have to come meet some of the cast from Riverdale! They’re really fun”
“Sure! Wanna come Y/N?” your friend asks turning to face you.
“No thanks, I’ll think I’ll go get a drink” as much as you did want to meet them, you still felt a bit out of place and needing something to calm you down.
“Okay, the kitchen is that way” Lana turns and points to the left. “We’ll be by the pool, come meet us after” she chirps and you nod. The girls walk away from you so you start to make your way to the kitchen, trying not to hit anyone with the fake wings strapped to your back. Since it was a costume party, you and your friend had dressed up as fairies. You wore a tulle skirt, fairy wings and had glitter all over your eyes & lips.
You got to the kitchen and spotted the large bowl of what you assumed what spiked fruit punch. It was a deep red and had fake eyes in the bowl making it look slightly gross. You grab the ladle and pour the bloody looking liquid into your plastic cup. You take a large sip of the drink and shudder as the strong taste of vodka hits your tongue.
“That looks awful” you look up and see a cute guy wearing a Spider-Man costume, minus the mask. He was looking at the punch bowl with his lips curled in disgust.
“Doesn’t taste that great either”
“It’s not tequila, is it?”
“Nope, vodka” the boy sighs with relief and reaches over to grab a cup.
“Had a bad experience with tequila?”
“Who hasn’t”
You chuckle and nod. “So true” you then take a second to really look at him and realize that his charming smile and messy curls were familiar. It hits you that the cute boy who was now slowly sipping his drink in front of you was Noah Centineo. Ever since the movie with him and Lana came out back in August you’ve had a huge crush on him. Of course, you never told Lana that, not wanting her to tell him. You had this weird thing of running away from the guys you liked, never wanting them to know you liked them. It wasn’t the best thing to do but you were working on it.
You nervously take another long sip of the fruit punch and hope that the tipsy feeling would hit you soon. Noah places his cup down next to yours and clears his throat.
“So, a fairy huh?”
“Yeah,” you feel your body heat up as he takes a longer look at your costume. “It was easy to put together and turns out I really like putting glitter all over my face.”
Noah lets out a laugh and you giggle along with him. “Well it looks great.”
“Thanks” you look into his eyes for a second before glancing away, feeling like your heart would jump out of your chest if you stared for too long. He truly was a lot hotter in person, if that was even possible.
“And you’re Spider-Man”
“You know it” He grins and sticks out his hand to do Spidey’s web-hand thing. “I’ve got some competition though” he cocks his head to the right where you see another guy in a spidey costume.
“Oh definitely.
“So, what are you up to?”
“Well currently I’m drinking a very strong fruit punch with Spider-Man in the nicest house I’ve ever been in.” you smirk and he chuckles.
“I meant, why are you alone in the kitchen” he takes a step closer to hear you over the loud music.
You sigh and move a stray piece of hair away from your face. “My friends went to go meet the Riverdale cast and I wanted a drink, so here I am. Plus if I’m being honest, this place is so crowded and I wanted some space”
“I get that. Parties like these can be overwhelming at times”
“Yeah, especially since I don’t know anyone. My friend is the actress, I’m just a lame college student.” You shrug sadly and he frowns.
“Being a college student isn’t lame. You’re learning important stuff.”
“I guess so, I just wish I knew what I wanted to do with my degree. Life after school seems a bit daunting” you look back up at him. “You’re lucky you get to do what you love.”
Noah sighs and leans back against the counter, looking effortlessly cool. “I know. It was a lot of work though. Finally being able to get some roles that I connect with.”
“Of course. I bet things got a lot better after To All The Boys”
He cocks his head slightly. “So you know who I am”
“Well…you’re all talented and cute and stuff…um…I mean…yeah” you mumble feeling flustered. Noah chuckles and runs his free hand through his hair.
“Mhhm, so you think I’m cute AND talented?”
You groan and hide your face with your hands, feeling embarrassment crawl up your skin. “This is so embarrassing”
“Woah, woah, whoa. No, it’s not” he gently removes your hands from your face and you timidly look up into his eyes. “I think it’s cute. I think you’re cute, fairy girl”
“Oh thanks” you grin at his compliment before realizing that you hadn’t told him your name yet. “I’m Y/N by the way” you stick your hand out for him to grab.
He shakes your hand. “Nice to meet you, I’m Noah.” He grabs his plastic cup and takes a quick look behind him. “Do you want to bring our gross drinks outside? There’s a cool gazebo in the backyard, we could sit and talk if you want” he offers sweetly.
“Yeah, I’d like that” you reply with a wide smile.

hello, hello !! my name is eleanor, i’m 21 and in the gmt timezone. this is celine, real name being celine zellmann, my ol’ solo artist. under the cut is a little more about her. please come and plot with me !!
↷ ・:*:・゚☆ ( constance zimmer. forty six. cisfemale. she/her ) ↷ ( celine ) has been spotted by the paparazzi in los angeles. they are an ( a ) list celebrity known for their career as a ( pop & jazz singer ). they’re known by their fans to be ( compassionate, dedicated & innovative ) but the tabloids frequently portray them to be ( defeatist, impulsive & sensitive) . i wish them every success in the entertainment industry. [lady gaga vc]. (eleanor. 21. bst. she/her) ・:*:・゚☆
this intro is more about her personally than her professional achievements; this will come later !!
born to german migrant parents, they always taught her to work hard for what she wanted. they were proud of her but always put a lot of pressure on her when she was at school; they wanted their daughter to succeed in academics and while she proved to be intelligent, she was always more drawn to arts.
she was an artist. loved to paint, sing and dance. her mother did enrol her into ballet but it was always too restrictive to her. she’d always be getting into trouble for adding her own spin or improvising in some way and that didn’t make her mother impressed that they were throwing away their money on her to disobey the teacher and her wishes to do well at it.
while she attended private school growing up, celine absolutely hated it. although she kept her head down, there was always someone picking up on what she was doing; she learned to ignore them. despite her insecure nature in adulthood, she was extremely confident in her younger years. sadly, people took this away from her as she started to be more open about writing her own songs and doing her own choreography. she tried to collaborate with friends at one point but her vision was too great and she needed control of all of it. thankfully, she has improved on letting people take the wheel and has had some very successful collabs with people.
as her parents were all about academics, they pushed her to get into julliard only for her to get in and quit when she was nineteen, in her first year. it all seemed a bit pointless to them and they were incredibly disappointed in her. with no secured job, she ended up working as a barmaid and singing in some dive bars before she was discovered at the age of twenty.
celine was young, maybe not younger than most but not old enough to know what she really wanted. although she was a person of great vision, she did let herself be controlled by her management. the young woman was sick of scraping by and needed some financial comfort; the only way that could happen was for her to make it big. it was all or nothing with her.
she was always worried about disappointing her parents and all those around her and that’s exactly what she felt like she did.
as if it were overnight, she had her big first hit at the age of twenty three and everything seemed to rush off from there. she brought out multiple albums and the tours shortly followed. celine was always so dedicated to them. whether the event was big or small, she’d put her everything into it. unfortunately, there were always people to give negative comments and even write her off altogether and she took all of this very personally and always has.
however, the bigger she got, the harder it got for her to cope with her fame. she was lead astray, she knew that and tried to resist but the party scene seemed to suck out her soul and she ended up doing some questionable things. it wasn’t that she was necessarily addicted to it but the people she was spending time with were toxic. celine’s insecurities heightened and all she wanted was to me loved and appreciated by other’s in the industry.
she’s a gay icon, i called it. she’s been openly bisexual but did receive a lot of backlash for it as people believed she was just out for attention, like her behaviour indicated. the tabloids would never leave her alone and her team just seemed to throw her to the wolves.
she was severely damaging herself for a while with this behaviour and it wasn’t until a stranger in a club took her to one side and was honest with her; she needed help to solve her issues instead of trying to ignore them. that person would be her ex husband. he had been honest with her fro day one and had tried to help her out of a place of concern, not because he wanted anything from her.
they were married and their daughter, tabitha, was born in 2009.
the two of them were happy for a while. celine was in therapy, she had taken a hiatus to explore the world of jazz after her daughter was born and she had a supportive husband. yes, she did mess up some days and go on the wrong path but he was patient with her and trusted that she would always find her way back home to him and tabs.
however, in 2011 she was involved in a car accident. a drunk driver was speeding, going out of control on turns and smashed into the car she was in. it look her a long time to get back on her feet. the woman hated that she couldn’t do things alone for the first year; her dignity was lost and she couldn’t really control anything. all she could think about was how this was the end of her career.
after the accident as she recovered, her relationship did deteriorate with her husband. she was bitter, depressed and there was only so much he could take from her. her pain never seemed to subside and it was tough on him. she did understand when the divorce came around and it was all under wraps until her manager leaked it to the press.
her comeback was in the year of 2013 but it was clear the accident had taken a toll on her both physically and mentally. she was able to get to a better physical health but she lacked the mentality behind it all. people around her continued to push her, even her new team and it just made her pain worse.
celine was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015 a
she is back but feels like she’s too old for a comeback. she’s just come off her tour (managed to get to the end of it) but her body is failing her and she sees all of these up and coming stars that just remind her that if she’s not considered one of the greats by now (which she is with gaga’s vc let’s not lie to ourselves) then she’ll just be forgotten about. she has earned a lot of money but it’s not everything. she constantly fights with her ex about the well-being of their daughter and he has a few things to say about her public behaviour; he does care about her, he just doesn’t know how to put that into words anymore. he has moved on and is remarried but that doesn’t stop him caring about her family.
her daughter tabitha absolutely loves her. she’s sad that she doesn’t get to see her as much as she likes as celine’s constantly throwing herself into her work but the girl thinks the absolute world of her. don’t get me wrong, tabitha is a savage nine year old and she does lecture her mom on a few things but deep down, she’s using up her humor to cover up the worry she has for the woman. she can tell when her mother’s either having a bad day, in pain or both and she doesn’t like it at all.
celine is frequently featured on tabitha’s youtube channel, mostly centred around her mother and annoying her to death !! it’s funny but savage; she gets away with it because she’s cute. tabs is very honest and that’s honestly great for her mother, she helps to keep her grounded. despite her reluctance, she has started taking tabitha to red carpet events because the little girl is so interested in it. she wants to become a comedian and the president so needs to get all the exposure she can get.
say something bad about tabitha to celine’s face and that’s it, you’re done.
as her pain worsens, she’s being dramatic and thinking of quitting the industry completely. she’s such a creative person and a talented piano player/songwriter, she should look over all her options but she is so quick to become defeatist.
the media just makes everything worse as she’s getting really sick of the drama it causes. she’s reaching fifty and she knows that her levels of insecurity aren’t normal.
personality traits:
protective, caring, humorous, empathetic, good-natured, loyal, nurturing, charismatic, approachable.
impulsive, self-depreciating, obsessive, defeatist, sensitive, over-emotional, neglectful, insecure.
all in all, celine has a heart of gold but does have her issues. she is one of the greats, even if people don’t necessarily like her and she has dabbled in a lot of musical genres over the years. please come and plot with me !!
