i know i’ve talked about luna having a nearly fixed expression from training and her need to fulfill this idea of “perfection” BUT have i talked about how she loves to watch people’s expressions? it’s why she’s drawn to very charismatic people. she enjoys people who can feel their feelings, and wear their feelings. especially because she has such a hard time with it. its just...a habit now not to express herself so she really admires people who can and do so without shame or worry 

anyways, she might stare -- but its so affectionate. truly the softest stare, sometimes a lil sad. but luna is just sad a lot of the time. / and on the naughtier side its what makes her a lot of fun during intimate moments because she loves to work an expression / response out of you

CANON DIVERGENCE: Contact during the One Year

I can’t remember if it’s ever explicitly stated, but it’s seriously implied that once FT disbanded, everyone went their separate ways (few in a small groups together) and had no contact with each other until the revival.

And I’m here to say....no. Fairy Tail is a guild that prides itself on it’s bonds of friendship and family, as we all know, so I don’t accept that they all cut ties easily when the guild was disbanded. They’re not going to go cold turkey on each other and be all ‘well we’re not in the same guild anymore so i dont care about u’

So, here’s a tweak. Everyone tried to stick around after the announcement, but after a few weeks, they did have to accept they couldn’t keep it up. They did begin to go their separate ways, but tried to keep in contact, which could be difficult at times before the mobile lacrimas became more available. 

Levy mostly kept in contact with Jet, Droy, Lucy, Lisanna, and Wendy but did become incredibly busy with council work and become more sporadic.

Lisanna kept up with Mira and Elfman (they were together for the first couple of months and then Lisanna joined BP), and made an effort with Lucy, Levy, and Wendy especially.

Lucy initially kept in contact with Levy, Erza, Wendy, Mira, Lisanna, and Cana (potentially Juvia too, depending on portrayals and she would have tried with Gray if he hadn’t ditched). 

As things often go, people get busy and conversations and messages become few and far between. 

Lucy in particular did feel incredibly lonely, during the first half of the year especially, even with the bits of contact with the others. She still fell into the deep sadness as canon, feeling isolated and left behind as others moved ahead and became busy. She did pull herself out of it but it wasn’t easy.

What contact and interactions she did have helped her with her project of keeping track of everyone, which she did as a way to feel closer to them and give her a focus.

Dearest Grandmother, 

My days here are spent well and certainly not entirely different to the way I used to wile away my hours at home. Leonette and my other ladies do wonders for keeping my mood buoyed but I find it is easy to feel comfortable here with so much at my disposal, even if their singers are not a patch on ours. One large benefit of being here is being able to spend so much time with the small folk and I truly feel that both I and our family’s kind donations continue to make a difference. It still is not quite as much as I would like to do, there is still so much more all the wealthy can do to help, but perhaps with time the queen will warm to me enough to finally allow Tommen and I to be wed and I can begin putting more lasting changes in place to help those less fortunate than I.

Still despite all these positives I find it hard not to feel your absence. There is not a day goes by that I do not miss seeing your face - perhaps even more than I miss the white walls and groves of Highgarden. I sometimes see the rose adorned walls or hear the gentle sound of the fountains in my dreams and those are always the sweets night’s sleep that I have here. A rose surrounded by lions and stag is perhaps the stuff of poetry but I suppose there is no safer place than tucked away among them all. I do rest easy here knowing that too. Rest assured that for all I long to see my home once more it has not distracted me from my goal and it holds no sway over the actions I undertake here in Kings Landing. I will always strive to make you and our House and family proud. There is some resistance to my presence here - as I am sure you are aware though I can vow to you that there is no substance to the rumours that may have reached you - but I do feel as though I have more friends here than enemies still. Though we both know that numbers do not always equal power.

Your ravens and those from my brother’s do much to cheer me and also remind me of why I have chosen this path. I can only hope that this has served to soothe some of your own worries about my well being. I am quite fine - you have taught me so well.

All my love and with the hope that we will be reunited soon,

☕ - Tea or Coffee?  How do they take theirs?

It’s usually always tea over coffee unless she’s really in need of a caffeine hit. She takes her coffee black with one sugar but she tends to prefer fruit or herbal teas. Peppermint is usually her go to.

💐 - Favorite type of flower

She grows roses on her balcony as well as having a number of pot plants but really she just loves all kinds of flowers. She’ll often pick a bunch up on a whim and enjoy whatever is there as well as buying herself new pot plants from time to time.

🔪 - Have they ever killed someone?

Not directly but she’s definitely not got clean hands. Blackmail was her role in the Citadel before she rose to being Grand Maester but she’s certainly been complicit in a number of deaths and now she wouldn’t hesitate to order one if it was for the best of her family.

 brief intro.    the power of the oracle is a special one and gifted only to those in the bloodline of the fleurets. the powers and abilities of the oracle, although powerful and often at her own control, come with limits and a price. each use depletes the oracle’s livelihood and it is expected for oracles to live short lives due to this. in lunafreya’s case, as the youngest oracle, her life begins to end from birth.  

part one: abilities.     the abilities of the oracle although centered around healing are quite miraculous. not only can the oracle heal and elite a light in the most darkest of places, but she can set protective barriers, cast out evils, burn, and blind. her powers are centered around “light” , which although come with mainly good connotations, could have a darker side (no pun intended). the oracle is also known to commune with the astrals, one of the abilities she doesn’t quite have full control of, whether the astrals decide to speak to her / gift visions or not is not entirely up to the oracle, but the astrals themselves. of course, the oracle can questions, can pray, and meditate, but an answer isn’t always guaranteed. the oracle does not get the choice, either, when it is an appropriate time to receive a message from the astrals. it can happen at any time and any where, although most likely to happen when the oracle is in a relaxed and open state of mind. 

part two: the cost.    living with a blessing can often be seen as a curse as being “chosen” comes with the price of your life. it is simply because gods were not meant to be seen by humankind, and though the fleurets and the caelum family lines are “chosen” to be apart of them, they lack the magic that would make them immortal. simply put, the astrals are far too strong in all aspects to be perceived by humankind without weakness. the astrals are also in need of that energy in order to communicate. just like when they rise, they rest to recuperate... even communicating spends a lot of energy and so the astrals will steal this from the oracle, herself -- an even exchange. this is why it is extremely important for the oracle to remain healthy, even if her energy or livelihood is depleting. long story short, the entire relationship between the oracle and the astrals are an symbiotic one. the oracle needs to commune with the gods / and the astral need energy. and so this relationship continues until the oracle is fully depleted and dead. 

part three: lunafreya.     it is important to note that lunafreya is the youngest oracle known to eos, and the gods had began their commune with the lady lunafreya from birth. this means that lunafreya has had her life drained from birth. her childhood was a complicated one as she was constantly in communication with the astrals due to her role in the prophecy and her training. lunafreya was in a constant battle of weakness and maintaining strength. it is one of the many reasons she has grown accustomed to the “mask” she wears, an attempt to often hide the weakness and pain she feels on a daily basis as not to worry those around her. a habit she’s learned in her youth. due to this, lunafreya has always suspected her death would be inevitable and early.  and it is another thought she battles daily, the will to live and the will to die. 

tldr;     essentially the oracle are extremely powerful women, however, tend to focus their energies on healing / the better of humanity, and of course with communing with the astrals, themselves. this constant communication with the astral is what drains the oracle of her life and why many live short lives. the astrals, being far too godly, not only hurt those they communicate with due to their power, but also feed of their energy to maintain themselves. with lunafreya, however, the astrals have decided to commune with her since birth, and hence lunafreya has not only become the youngest oracle known to man, but the sickliest though she tries her best not to show it.

CANON DIVERGENCE: Lucy - Avatar Arc

As per this post on my other blog, Natsu does not steal the job from Rogue and Minerva. 

Minerva does not say all that crap about Fairy Tail being a wonderful guild and if she does apologise/admit to maybe going a bit too far in the GMG, it’s not because she really believes it, it’s simply a sort of political move to get on Lucys/FTs good side because like it or not, FT is a guild you probably don’t want to be on the bad side of. Lucy is aware Minerva isn’t sorry and honestly, she Gets it.

Anyway. Natsu and Lucy do still head to Avatar HQ and cause the same commotion with Gray and the creepy torture guy. Gray still saves Lucy from nearly being cut in half when they’re captured. While that was going on, Rogue and Minerva had gathered intel and learnt how big the whole operation is. Considering it all, they decided to work together.

Wendy, Carla, and Juvia do not appear for the final battle (unless plotted otherwise). Therefore, Gray defeats Briar with no interference and Mary is stopped by Rogue when Lucy is attacked.

When the war god is summoned by Arlock, it is a team effort to destroy it. Natsu does not defeat it on his own. Minerva is the most useful in this fight, as she knows magic of the 18 war gods. It is her spell that changes the tide for them.

At the end, the Avatar members, including Gray, are arrested.
