been talking a lot with @pagesofkenna about ally and kristen this season, in part bc they realised some really interesting points about kristen’s seeming inability to be earnest which really nailed my own irritation with junior year kristen

like disclaimer i love ally, i think they’re a good and interesting player 99% of the time* but like. the more i think about riz and the student president arc the more i struggle with kristen focusing up on the bits and that’s all. i think at this point i honestly don’t want kristen to become student president, bc it is fundamentally not a plotline that kristen or ally have been able to take seriously at any point. personally i’m v much hoping this is going to tie into the “chaos isn’t cute” teaser at the beginning of the season, but like. it’s taking a long time to get there. i’m a fan of a bit, don’t get me wrong? but there’s just so little sincerity right now in over half of kristen’s actions, and specifically in the context of the student president plotline, it is just increasingly aggravating.

curious to see if the number of bits that kristen does are frustrating to anyone but the two of us, or the way in which the student president plotline has unfolded
