what would they wear to prom?

ori wears a super flowy black dress.... maxi skirt, definitely, in a comfortable fabric; it’s gotta be good for spinning basically. embroidered flowers in gold on it... probably spaghetti straps honestly, but I think she deserves like the long flowy sleeves.... and her hair is up too obv. with ivy. she would let pen do very light makeup also.

anthe is just. shes in a tux and the shirt is mostly unbuttoned and everything’s dark-colored and she’s wearing clunky homemade jewelry as well. flowers in the hair, shitty emo kid makeup, she looks a mess but in, like, a fun way.

johnny... dark blue mermaid dress long sleeved hair in a neat braid makeup slightly less smudged than usual but she is a water genasi so like. too fuckin bad.

ves would not go to prom but if they absolutely had to they would wear a little brown-orange jumpsuit, and they’d bring a cardigan but not wear it to dance. no makeup, hair in a bun.

nobody wears something long and flowy as well, lace on it, spaghetti straps, probably brown or green. swamp colors for a swamp wizard. a few necklaces, some jewelry, either artsy makeup or no makeup at all. also she is smoking outside for the entire event.

eirlys is wearing like. a dark green jumpsuit with flowy sleeves, and she decorated her cane to match it also, and she just. looks so chill. her hair is down and she’s wearing handmade jewelry and she’s just vibing.

how did you name your character? why did you choose the name you did?

oriole oscines telltale is like. i wanted a character named oriole because it’s a pretty bird and a pretty name, and when i made the character that would become ori, she seemed to fit the bill! and telltale was--baltimore orioles = another baltimore reference = edgar allen poe = tell-tale heart, which suits o’s vibes pretty well too! and oscines is. im making a family whose names are all songbird names. also oriole means golden which is fun for a richboy!!!

anthe stone i mean. stone comes from critrole, bc i wanted to explore, like, there had to have been family members out in the world over the years, right? how are they living with the assumption that they were abandoned? and then anthe came from the word anathema + the character anthy from utena. and then i found out that the name anthe means flower, so. lol.

johnny c. carryon is named for johnny cash, and then dead bodies. thanks. i have more to say but it’s spoilers.

ves liyel sounded cool! i was just tryin syllables out because Space Names. i decided later that her first name is vestigia, as in, a remnant of something that no longer functions. but i think her name was just ves and then she was depressed after dropping out of med school so she started using vestigia lol.

nobody is because i saw the hexblood ua and i wanted to make a character who had lost their name bc of the fey! so. yeah!

eirlys morn ... eirlys means snowdrop flower means sympathy/consolation; morn means morning (new dawn!) but is also homophonic with mourn, so, yeah! yay!

if you could give your character one piece of advice, what would you tell them?

ori: be vulnerable with your friends!!! open up!!! talk to your friends!!!! kendall roy banging on the windows family therapy!!!!

anthe: You Cannot Keep Trauma Bottled Up Like That.

johnny: you stop that.

ves: yessss continue to work with this org they will help you do research probably!!!! also harvey is genuinely interested in your work!!!!! yes!!!!

nobody: not having an identity doesn’t mean you can’t build one. develop an ego or at the very least a spine. please.
