3. What's been your most popular fic this year?

oh it was definitely my beomgyu drabble mine !! it was the fic that got me a ton of my followers and it's my first post to reach 1k and 2k+ notes which was super exciting :')

9. What's a scene you wrote this year that you're particularly proud of?

hmm kind of a hard question cuz sometimes i think i'm a genius and other times i think a scene just doesn't work 😭😭 but ,,, i'll say i remember being super satisfied w lost at sea the pilot episode/chapter for my *cough* unfinished riptide!mark lee series ha,, haha

but in general, any feedback or comment just makes me so warm and fuzzy and excited !! once, someone told me they came back from the dead to remind people that i was one of the best writers here and tbh i could cry 😭😭😭 ??

*panics* UHM!! i,,, like that i've been improving in the description department? idk bro (´Д⊂ヽ like i'm trying to be more patient with my descriptions and i def have some work to do w solving my white room syndrome, but i think i'm getting better w touchy feely emotional things lol

i actually really enjoyed writing the fics with crack/humor in them a lot! i write a lot of angst and i do enjoy writing that too, but i also love writing banter sm

OOH !!! uhhhhh i really like "cruel mercy" (wip), "bird hunt" (wip), and "dear chan, have you ever been in love before?"

AHAHHAHA when i posted the one beomgyu drabble for my october mini series, almost all the reblogs were talking abt how tf were those cheesy pickup lines attractive 💀🤡 tbh only beomgyu could make corny ass pick up lines attractive but yuh ✨ also whenever em rbs my stuff, she's so funny sjfnejfbj like i once posted a fic at 2am and she rb'd w smth like wait y aren't u asleep beam (ignoring the fact that she was also not asleep 💀)

34. What's the weirdest thing you researched for a fic?

LMAOO i don't think i remember half the things i google while in the moment tbh 🤣 but i vividly remember going down the rabbit hole of cheerleader positions and stunts for this one wip bc idk what any of that cheer stuff is called (´Д⊂ヽ and i think soon i'm gonna need to spiral down the dance rabbit hole too @_@ like figuring out waltzes and tangos and what that one dance intak did for isac :')

it was after skating practice - meiying had stuck back after most of the others had left, wanting a little time to herself - when a boy came up to her and asked if he could talk to her before she left. she was confused, but agreed, despite the “what are you doing???” look pyotr was giving her from the other side of the rink. she finished a few more practice jumps, humming contently to herself as she did so, before going to get out of her skates and get ready to go home - pyotr and peyton had promised her coach that they’d walk her home, because he’d had some other things to do.

the boy who had asked to speak with her was waiting in the stands, so meiying left her bag with peyton and went over.

“what’d you want to talk to me about?” she asked, not bothering to sit down. peyton and pyotr were waiting, and she was tired - she just wanted to go home, though her gege’s had promised they would feed her first.

“oh, maybelle, hi.” the boy looked nervous, and meiying just tilted her head. “uh... i was just wondering if you want to, uh, like... go on a date with me?”

“eh?” meiying looked around a little, as if not sure if he was talking to her or not. “me? i don’t -”

“i know you’re like, really princess-y and stuff, but, uh... i could be your prince?” the boy cut her off before she could finish, and she pouted.

“i have a prince.” she said, gesturing behind her. “peter gege is my prince gege.” and peyton was her ducky gege, but that wasn’t really relevant at the moment. the boy blinked, confused.

“isn’t... isn’t he a bit old for you?” meiying blanked.

“i’m not dating him - gross.” she made a face. “i don’t want a prince in that way.” she settled for instead.

“oh... a knight then? i could be your knight?” was he stupid?

“no prince. no knight.” she crossed her arms. “i want a princess.” the boy blanked.

“what?”

“i like girls.” she turned away. “well, one girl right now, but i don’t like boys that way. i thought it was obvious.” she didn’t wait to see if the boy said anything else, instead hopping down the stands and walking over to where peyton (and now pyotr) were waiting.

“he tried to ask you out, didn’t he?” peyton asked, passing meiying her bag back and shouldering his own.

“yup.”

“what’d you say?” pyotr asked as meiying linked arms with him.

“that i want a princess - and i have a prince. and a ducky!” peyton laughed, holding the door open for the younger skaters.

“are you going to ask that princess of yours out then?” pyotr asked, prompting meiying to turn the same pink as her jacket.

“gege!” she shoved at his arm, but didn’t let go of it. “... maybe. i dunno if she’d like me.” peyton cocked an eyebrow.

“what’s not to like?” meiying wrinkled her nose.

“i dunno if she likes girls.”

a few days later, meiying found herself at xavier’s with alyce and asher, though asher had run off the minute they got there, saying something about finding orion. alyce said that was pretty normal.

“so...” alyce trailed off, and meiying really didn’t like the way that sounded. “you gonna ask anastasia out?” meiying stopped walking, flailed, and then launched herself at alyce.

“did peyton gege talk to you??” she asked, “or peter gege?” alyce laughed, not answering - didn’t, until meiying let go of her and stood there pouting.

“no, no - i didn’t talk to your skating oppa’s. you’re just really obvious meimei.” meiying made a face, crossed her arms and refused to meet her friends eyes.

“am not.” she pouted a little more when alyce laughed again - but then alyce raised an eyebrow, and oh meiying didn’t like that face.

“anastasia, hi - we were just talking about you.” alyce grabbed meiying’s arm before she could run. “meiying here had something she wanted to ask you actually, right mei?” meiying settled for hitting alyce’s arm, knowing her face was turning more and more red by the second.

“um, ana jiejie, hi.” she looked down at her feet, unable to meet the older girls eyes. “i, um... i kind of, uh, like you? and, um... dyouwannagooutwithme?”

4. What piece of writing are you most proud of?

ODSIFJDS I ACTUALLY CANT CHOOSE but I think if I had to choose it'd have to be either bloom into you (b/c it's my longest fic) and pocket money (b/c it's funny 💀)

9. What's a scene you wrote this year that you're particularly proud of?

On the top of my head, I think it's the scene where Wooyoung is reassuring the reader (or me since it's a self-insert I think) that they're not alone in dealing with whatever the future deals to them.

"He has walked the road unknown too but just as he told Yeo, “The road you walk to the unknown is no longer alone! You have me by your side, for now and for as long as we live.”

18. Do you have a fic that you wish received more attention?

I don't have just one fic but rather multiple 😭

but to just list a few: bloom into you , love at first dance & literally any seventeen fic + my new tbz fics (to be fair they are still new so 🤠 I won't say too much)

27. What motivated and pushed you to write more this year?

I think probably the satisfaction I get when I finish writing and plus your support along with so many other sweet people. Like genuinely will never get tired of hearing your feedback with others, it warms my heart and pushes me to finish writing & continue writing. so thank you for that meimei 🥺 (and of course, the people who leaves comments or send interactions b/c y'all make me feel like the writing I do isn't a waste of time and yeah :))
