first of all:

here is the thing. yes! i agree!! and i have thoughts! barty crouch jr. and boris are like so so so so babygirl coded to me in the same ways. but i also feel like (and this is just a personal thought™️) there can only be one babygirl per relationship (this town aint big enough for the two of us,, like this relationship aint big enough for two babygirls, yk).

so james is babygirl and regulus is not (to me) and barty is babygirl and evan is not (to me). but james potter is differently babygirl coded to the way that boris and barty are babygirl coded, and while i cannot explain exactly why or how,,, it is in these nuances where my characterization and love of all these characters is born.
