300 Grams Prahan
Coburg burgerholics head to 300 Grams on Gaffney Street to find the burger of their childhood dreams waiting on the plate. Sister venue to 300 Grams in Northcote, this fun and funky fast-food joint rocks a bright orange façade and serves burgers inspired by the owner's childhood memories of Clifton Hill McDonald's. Wrap your hands and mouth around the signature 300 Gs, with beef patty, cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and 300 G sauce; or go clucky over the Hot Bird – Southern fried chicken, slaw, cheese and chilli mayo – with a side of Mac fries and Oreo thick shake. Seafood lovers salivate over ocean-fresh D'lish Fish, with crumbed fish fillet, tartar sauce, cheese, lettuce and pickles; while vegans are catered for with a healthy plant-based patty, or vegan fried chicken option. from Recently Reviewed Australian Restaurants : AGFG https://ift.tt/R7mxSH4 via http://bundabergdirectory.com.au/

Is Your Melbourne Electrician Qualified to Complete Your Home Safety Inspection?
Each Melbourne electrician employed by Fish Brothers Electrical is a highly qualified and experienced electrician required to complete your next home safety inspection (HSI) successfully. These top electrician professionals have been highly trained and educated on today’s best practices in home safety inspection. They make it their mission never to cut corners when it comes to the safety of the electrical installation in your home.
Home Safety Inspection from a Melbourne Electrician
According to the law, all domestic homes must be in accordance with the Wiring Rules, Electrical Installations Regulations and the Electricity Safety Act. The importance of a home safety inspection is to prevent electrical malfunction and deterioration that may cause unnecessary dangers in your home. Such incidents may occur for any number of reasons such as amateur electrical work that is defective, hazards due to the electric installation from an under-qualified Melbourne electrician, overloaded circuits or equipment or failure to have sufficient bonding or earthing. These are all of the areas a qualified Melbourne electrician will be able to easily recognize during a certified home safety inspection.
Top Melbourne Electrician HSI Recommendations
Whether you performed a perfect DIY electrical repair job or you hired a professional, electrical installations inevitably deteriorate over time. For this reason, it is recommended to take a proactive approach when it comes to a home safety inspection. Your local Melbourne electrician should recommend that you complete a home safety inspection every five years, at least. They should also recommend that you schedule an HSI if the wiring has become old, if the house is more than 25 years old, if you were unsure whether the equipment was installed properly or if you intend to sell your home or buy a home.
What to Expect from a Melbourne Electrician HSI
A top Melbourne electrician will speak with you before the home safety inspection begins to explain the process in great detail. They should inform you that the electricity may have to be shut off for some time while they perform various tests. They will also visually examine the work of the installation. If they do find concerns, an exceptional Melbourne electrician will attempt to make repairs on the spot. If such concerns are unable to be repaired, the power will remain turned off until it can be restored to a safe condition. Once you receive your HSI certificate a few days after the inspection, the certificate will show that your installation is either unsafe, safe requiring remedial work or safe. The certificate will also include the electrician who performed the HSI, any inspection limitations during the process, the location of the HSI, any remedial tasks to be completed and more.
A regular home safety inspection by a top Melbourne electrician is essential to the safety of your home and loved ones. Fisher Brothers Electrical has a superior reputation in all areas pertaining to a home safety inspection and can ensure that your HSI certificate meets and exceeds a safe status in no time. Only trust the best electricians when it comes to your home safety inspections.

Folk on the Rocks is an incredible music festival that takes place in gorgeous Yellowknife. It has an amazing schedule spanning two full days and five stages. It is an incredible opportunity to discover new music and to visit another part of Canada’s beautiful landscape.
I have the unique opportunity of being able to visit Yellowknife from time to time, as I have a brother that is firmly entrenched up there. This will be my second time to the now 37 year old music festival – Folk on the Rocks (FOTR).
My first day at the event was on a bit of a tight schedule however; the single engine prop plane that was supposed to pick me up from the fly-in cabin and have me back in Yellowknife no later than 11:30am, showed up at 1pm.

So, after a quick hose-off and a change into something that didn’t smell like fish, off I went to catch the last bit of the Dene Drummers opening prayer for FOTR.
Folk on the Rocks has an amazing schedule spanning two full days and five stages. This includes a L’il Folkers stage for the young’uns as well. Several of the bands will play on at least two of those 5 stages throughout the weekend. So if you miss someone on day one, there is a really good chance to see them the next day on a different stage.
The Dead South. Folk on the Rocks 2017. Photo by Dale Sinclair
There was maybe a half dozen bands I didn’t get to see, so if you can’t find the band in my photos, I have included the 30+ artist lineup below for your Internet searching pleasure.
Top 5 picks-
Tanika Charles – Wow. Great performance, style and soul.
The Dead South – Unique sound mixing bluegrass, rock and folk.
The Trade-Offs – Great blues …from the Arctic.
Rosie and The Riveters – Love the retro 40’s feel and amazing vocals.
Earthbound Trio – East coast folk with a chill roots sound.
The Rest of ‘em-
SHAD
City and Colour
Jason Collett
Operators
The Pack A.D.
Elephant Stone
The Bushman NT
Megan Nash + Bears in Hazenmore
Digawolf
Chocolat
Moe Clark
Scary Bear Soundtrack
Earthbound Trio
Nadia Gaudet + Jason Burnstick
Ava Wild
Boots and The Hoots
Justin Nozuka
Rellik

Nick Jackson
Cynergii
Veronica Johnny
YK Throat Singers
Miraj featuring Taiga Yoga
Bella Dance Academy
NWT Creative Collective Special Showcase
Youth Showcase presented by Rainbow Coalition of Yellowknife
Yellowknife Dene Drummers
There are a number of bands that were in competition for my top 5 choices, so please check out the others, if not all of them, when you get a chance.
Shad gave a good performance and energized the crowd that was there to see him – it just seemed out of place at a folk music festival. But to be fair – Ottawa’s Blues Fest hosts heavy metal bands, so who am I to judge.
Shad. Folk on the Rocks 2017. Photo by Dale Sinclair
City and Colour, a.k.a. Dallas Green, did a fine acoustic set. Maybe a bit slow, but the lounging crowd soaked it all in.
City and Colour. Folk on the Rocks 2017. Photo by Dale Sinclair
After Dallas, the Dene Drummers came out again to close out the festival with a drum prayer that had everyone stomping up clouds of dust. With that in mind, I would also like to point out the festival was originally on rocks, hence the name, but has since been covered over in this wonderful beach sand. It looks nice until you find yourself snorking it out of your nose 2 days later.

Aside from the sand, it is an amazing event. You would be hard pressed to not find at least one new artist that you could fall in love with. Next year will predictably be the same, with lots of local talent and bands from across Canada that will undoubtedly grace these stages.
A visit to Yellowknife should be on your list of places to see as well. Not that you need an excuse with all of outdoor activities Yellowknife has to offer, but this festival just makes for a really good excuse to go.

MOUSTACHE ANT w/ This Life I Live & Turn South @ Sooki Lounge, March 2017
After finishing my Meditation class at Just Be Yoga and Meditation in Beaconsfield, I drove down to Belgrave and got myself a snack pack at the local Fish n’ Chip shop (Yes I know it’s unhealthy but I was starving and I’ve been eating well all day). Tonight’s gig at the Sooki Lounge (formerly known as Ruby’s Lounge) was a very chilled out affair with a moderately sized crowd. The venue was decorated with multi-coloured Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling, ornate-styled furniture, crystal light fittings and floral wallpaper.
I bumped into quite a few of my band related friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I was trying hard to accept that it’s okay to be socially awkward and not have much to say. Everyone was showering me in complements and I felt really humbled by that. I’m such an incredibly modest person and I never know how to respond to positive feedback about myself besides saying thank you. Either way, it did feel good to be acknowledged and appreciated.
TURN SOUTH...It’s been probably over a year since I last saw this Indie Punk-Rock band play, the last time being at the 303 Bar in Northcote. The most recent addition has been their drummer Aidan Lukas Ginn who joined the band last year. The boys incorporate a mixture of different styles into their sound including psychedelia, punk-rock, emo and grunge, complete with a raw fiery energy on stage. Check out their latest two-track EP “Sad Sun/Holes” here:  https://turnsouth.bandcamp.com/
THIS LIFE I LIVE...It’s been a few months since I last checked out this Progressive Death Metal band play, the last time being at the Reverence Hotel in Footscray. Despite a few feedback issues, the boys still played a really solid set with lots of loud, passionate energy. Bassist Michael Tuffcore Dean was being a cheeky devil, walking into the crowd with his bass and riffing away with friends in the crowd. They played several tracks including Ronin and Plot 33.  https://thislifeilive.bandcamp.com/...
MOUSTACHE ANT...The last time I saw this three-piece Progressive Metal band was at The Barn Live in Bayswater. They always manage to put on an entertaining set with lots of banter between the members and the crowd in between songs. Vocalist Daniel Jeary has a very versatile delivery from manic screams to wailed, sing-a-long cleans. Some of the tracks seemed to stretch on for an eternity which provoked many ill-timed applauds. The band played several tracks including Tribal, Cognitive Distortions and What We Become.  http://www.moustacheant.com/

300 Grams Richmond
Northcote burgerholics head to 300 Grams on High Street to find the burger of their childhood dreams waiting on the plate. Sister venue to 300 Grams in Coburg, this fun and funky fast-food joint rocks a bright orange façade and serves burgers inspired by the owner's childhood memories of Clifton Hill McDonald's. Wrap your hands and mouth around the signature 300 Gs burger, with beef patty, cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and 300 sauce; or go clucky over the Hot Bird – Southern fried chicken, slaw, cheese and chilli mayo – with a side of Mac fries and Oreo thick shake. Seafood lovers salivate over ocean-fresh Scalable, with crumbed fish, tartar, cheese, lettuce and pickles; while vegans are catered for with a healthy plant-based patty, or vegan fried chicken option. from Recently Reviewed Australian Restaurants : AGFG https://ift.tt/7zcD6Mt via http://bundabergdirectory.com.au/
