TOTAL DRAMA REVIVAL TIERLIST + THOUGHTS
Tumblr media
After binging all of the new season, I've updated my initial tierlist! Priya stays winning, no surprise there. Thoughts about the ENTIRETY of the new cast (with spoilers) under the cut!
Let's just start off by saying that the over the top toilet humor and intro aside, this was a great season. While Pakhitew Island was rancid with blatant obvious character tropes, this season managed to make most of their characters relatable while parodying at it.
But as for Caleb, Scary Girl and Ripper... Those were on the nose too much for my liking. Caleb got the season 1 Justin treatment, Scary Girl is literally Jinx from League of Legends, and Ripper is nothing but a shoehorned character for fart jokes. It sucks because I thought Ripper was going to be great. His personality is pretty solid and reminds me loads of McArthur.
Now that I've got the slog out of the way, time to dissect the more intriguing parts of this show!
Nichelle, Damien and Axel were tremendously robbed this season, and you know it.
Axel's dexterity and agility would have no doubt gotten her far. Unfortunately, her prickly attitude got her booted very early, akin to Eva's elimination back in the original TDI. She's definitely the Shawn of this generation though. And hey, which begs the question — is she his kid? It's been 15 years after all...
Nichelle was nothing like the mean girl label everyone pegged her for. Just a typical rich, famous celebrity that's never been out of her comfort zone. Rude and vicious? No, she had the team spirit and was always ready to pump up her team. I love Dakota, so I am definitely a fan of Nichelle, the two being so alike. In her elimination episode, she had a breakdown where she realized that she wasn't "all that". It was honestly pretty sad to see.
Damien was the person with the most common sense on that show. It's funny how he's just wants the million bucks and never seen the show before. But when he sees what there's up against? He's totally done. FINALLY, A CHARACTER THAT GETS IT. He's a whole vibe. In the end, he decided he wanted to stay after he did some awesome heroics, but his team voted him off like he wanted... Better luck next time.
Speaking of next time, apparently these three do have another shot. They've all been invited back for another season, which means that we can explore these characters far more! Let's hope that the writers do not miss this opportunity.
As for someone that I don't think overstayed their welcome, MK definitely takes the cake. She was honestly a great character with witty comebacks and superior intellect. I think she got just the right amount of screen time. We got to see her in action while making room for other character's developments to shine. Nice.
Wayne and Raj are what happens when you combine Katie and Sadie with Geoff and Brody. I found their bromance pretty sweet actually. I don't think they had much time to grow more distinctively from each other though. And I know how everyone was betting their money on them or Caleb/Bowie as the gay couple, but I'm so so glad that they weren't.
Instead we got a delightfully surprising pair — Bowie and Raj. While I did want to see more build up, with 13 twenty minute episodes, you can't really do much. But no matter, I still thought they were plenty cute! I needed to see them smooch in the finale though. It would've been loads better than...
Chase and Emma.
How this pair irks me to no end. Chase is an incel and Emma is stupid for going back to him. Really hit the nail on the head with the on and off again couples of the world. Seen this way too often.
Speaking of which, I think you all owe RR Emma an apology. Because RR Emma actually had loads more character outside of her boyfriend. We got to see her in action, taking charge, her fiesty attitude, the great dynamic with her sister!
But this Emma? All she did was whine nonstop about how Chase was a horrible boyfriend only to go back to square one. Every second of her on screen was either her wanting to torture him in the best way possible or lusting after him. Girl... After everything Chase's done to you, him granting you immunity in a round does not cut it.
I'll give some points for the Bowie/Emma friendship. Except for the fact that it centered around Chase mostly, UGH. Bowie going "ew straight people" is how I felt about this whole ordeal.
And in case it wasn't obvious enough, Chase deserves to be ejected into sun. He radiates toxic masculinity. He wanted to change Emma's name to "Chase's Girlfriend"? He thought a guy should win the finale? He can't take no for an answer and keeps pursuing his ex? I hope he rots, ew.
Bless Zee's heart for being bros with him. Goodness knows I could not do that. But let's face it, Zee is bros with everyone on this island. He's that stoner friend everyone needs. Just chilling, making some unintentional funny comments, you get the gist. I first pegged him to be the scaredy cat type, but seeing him in the zone instead was hilarious. And he's the amputee! How cool is that?
Now I know I haven't talked about one of the best parts of Total Drama — the villains/antagonists.
Julia was a very fun twist villain. At first, she was just Dawn but if she was a social media brat. I was surprised to see that facade crack and her true colors shine. Instead, she's a two faced teenaged girl, which I see a lot in society. Putting on a show for others only to bash them in private. Watching her let loose was a thrill and I was here for it. Her manipulation, scheming and determination is unmatched.
At least, that's what I would say if Bowie didn't exist.
How Bowie absolutely dominated that competition. He was here to win and he meant it. Seeing him pull the strings was a sight to behold. He convinced the team to vote off Caleb at first glance, outsmarted Julia at her own game, ruined Priya and Millie's friendship, and snagged a pretty cute boyfriend too. If that's not absolute winner things, I don't know what is.
Which brings me to the part I've been waiting for. Last, but certainly not least of all, Priya and Millie.
These two are MY Total Drama inserts, I'm so sure of it. Millie disgusted by her own generation and Priya's obedience to follow her parent's dreams were things I felt in my soul. I know that they weren't popular when the characters were first leaked, but I'm so glad that they beat the early boot allegations.
Millie's character arc is one of the best things of the season. She came here to write a book slandering the people her age and thought of herself as above everyone else's nonsense. But then Priya happened. Priya was nice to her, she was the first real person to ever make Millie feel good about herself. And that was the wake up call Millie needed and the turning point of her life.
Priya also learned something too — self worth. She was too eager to be friends with Millie off the bat and have nothing but good energy all around. Only to realize that maybe she's putting more effort into their friendship than the other person is. And as someone whose been in that position multiple times, it absolutely broke me.
And everything went to hell when Bowie gifted Priya the notepad in which Millie was writing smack about everyone. Of course, Millie had changed her mind and was trying to be a better person, but karma catches up to you. Priya finally let herself be gulfed in anger and Millie truly got hit with the great significance of Priya coming into her life.
In the end, Millie managed to apologize and pour her insecurities out to Priya about everything. It brought both tears to me and Priya and the two of them reconciled. This was the best friendship story I've ever seen written on Total Drama. It's like what Gwen and Courtney could've gone through in All Stars...
Also, Priya wins. How cool is that? I rooted for her at the very start AND SHE WON. I'm loving this so so much. I'm sure there's another alternative ending where it's Bowie but the one I watched was Priya so that's the true happy ending to me :3
Sidenote: Anyone wanna talk about the Priya/Damien ship tease? Honestly I'm glad Priya didn't blush at anything Chase said; I know the fandom thought they were going to be a couple. But the best girl Priya and the best boy Damien had a hint and that's another win for me.
Think about it, a girl who's prepared for Total Drama all her life with someone who's never seen it before? GOLD. They were even paired for the finale! Do you think next season will have them be a couple? Manifesting that so bad with a real Chase/Emma breakup. And more Raj/Bowie while we're at it too, yeah?

replica raybans justin
replica raybans justin  arrived on the scene in 1957, twenty years after Ray-Ban designed and patented the world's first Aviator Sunglasses. A new take on the  replica raybans sunglasses , the Caravan featured a square lens to replace the iconic large teardrop shaped lens of the classic Aviator, a brow bar and a streamlined, geometric design.
The replica raybans aviator had originally been designed with pilots in mind (giving rise to the name) who required a pair of large lens sunglasses to block out glare from the sun while flying. The style to launch Ray-Ban, (the name itself literally derived from the "banning of the sun's rays") the Aviator with it's oversized, protective lens and lightweight metal frame had gained popularity in mainstream fashion following the second world war. US army General Douglas McArthur had been photographed wearing  replica raybans sunglasses   as he strode ashore in the Philippines in 1944 and the military inspired look had taken off.
By the end of the fifties, Ray-Ban were ready to develop a new Aviator design. There was a demand for a smaller version of the classic Aviator, and the fashion was moving towards geometric influences. Also, as the Wayfarer had proven popular in the 1950s, Ray-Ban was also looking for a way to rejuvenate the Aviator design, and so the    replica raybans justin   was born.
Available in all the classic replica raybans sunglasses colour ways - the G-15 or B-15 lens with the gold, silver or gunmetal frame, the Caravan's sharp, minimalist design also offered the gradient and mirror lens. The smaller lens still offered a good amount of protection for the wearer from glare and a certain amount of anonymity desired by politicians and celebrities.
During the Aviator revival of the 1970s, the Caravan style also gained ground as an alternative Aviator option. It was prominently featured in Martin Scorsese's 1976 film, Taxi Driver, being worn by Robert DeNiro as he played Travis Bickle.
The Aviator style was adopted as the sunglasses of choice for the disco scene in the seventies as well, so too the Caravan provided an alternative look. Here is Barry Gibb wearing a pair of Caravan sunglasses in the seventies. discounted raybans sunglasses

The Shining, Part One: Redrum is the New Black, Mrs. Torrance
Tumblr media
Before we go any further, I am very aware that The Shining was released in 1980, and thus should be exempt from the perusing of a blog dedicated to 1970s horror architecture. It’s probably the most-mentioned movie from friends asking me to cover a film, and I’ve been pretty dogged about sticking to my script with 1970s movies. But maybe I’m feeling generous, as we’re about to put this last decade to bed (and I never really figured out what to call it - the Twenty-Tens? Nope. The Tens? I don’t think so). Anyway, The Shining is one of my earliest favorite horror flicks, based on a book from one of my earliest favorite horror writers. And technically, Stanley Kubrick shot the bulk of his adaption of Stephen King’s 1977 book in the ‘70s. In fact, it could be argued (and will be in fact be argued forthwith) that The Shining is the last of the great 70s horror movies, and very different in tone and setting from what characterizes most 1980s horror films. What is this criteria, you ask? I’m so glad you asked!
Tumblr media
The great 1970s architecture horror flicks tend to be set on stately country manors (most of The Omen, the beginning of Don’t Look Now), stylish city apartments/lofts (Audrey Rose, Sisters, Profondo Rosso), or otherwise sophisticated urban or bucolic location, such as a dance academy (Suspiria). In contrast, many of the iconic 1980s horror flicks are set in manufactured wilderness (the Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp franchises), or safe suburbia (the Poltergeist and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises). These are spaces for children and teenagers, with nary a cocktail tray or curated window treatment in view. I’m pretty sure the transformation occurred because the target audience shifted to that age demographic, but it also does speak of the 1980s flavor of paranoia versus the 1970s psychosis. The 1980s were all about outsiders (slashers/monsters) attacking safe traditional spaces, where the settings of 1970s horror flicks were somewhat sinister themselves in their old-world elegance.
Tumblr media
And speaking of sinister, Kubrick and cinematographer John Alcott did a wonderful stitch-up with the opening vista. Ariel shots from a helicopter above Going-to-the-Sun Road in Montana’s Glacier National Park are cobbled together with a wide view of Oregon’s Timberline Lodge, which served as the exterior shots of the fictional Overlook Hotel. I shall pause here to note that these endeavors, both park and hotel, exist courtesy of FDR’s Works Progress Administration. I first visited Timberline Lodge almost exactly 18 years ago while spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Hood River with my sis, bro-in-law, and nephew, and got to visit Glacier for the first time this past September (a lovely side trip after my brothers-in-laws’ wedding), and I gotta admit, I find nothing scary about democratic socialism. The WPA was responsible for providing work and hope to a lot of desperate people during the Great Depression, and leaves as its legacy some of our loveliest landmarks in America.
Tumblr media
In contrast, the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado was Stephen King’s inspiration for the Overlook. The Stanley was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley, of Stanley Steamer fame. Stanley the Steamer decided the local accommodations (where he fully recuperated from tuberculosis) were a bit too “rustic,” and the social scene too “relaxed,” so he built himself an exclusive enclave for the rich. Bully for you, Freelan.
Tumblr media
The Overlook Hotel existed mostly as a set in Elstree Studio in England. Kubrick and production designer Roy Walker purposely set out to make the Overlook an amalgamation of bits and pieces of real hotels, rather than giving it one single design aesthetic. The red men's bathroom was modeled on a men's room in the Biltmore Hotel in Arizona (often credited to Frank Lloyd Wright, but in fact designed by his student Albert Chase McArthur).
Tumblr media
The Colorado Lounge (that serves as Jack’s writing studio) was based on the lounge of the Ahwanee Hotel in the Yosemite Valley. The set of the Colorado Lounge ended up burning down; apparently, the fire was caused by the intense wattage of the set lights needed to make the interiors appear day-lit from sun reflected off the snow.
Tumblr media
The Overlook also does not follow any laws of physics: rooms that should be wholly interior have windows, and hallways and floors don’t make any sense directionally-speaking. This disorientation helps to build the feeling of disquiet and unease in the early scenes. There’s a really worthwhile analysis of this and other Kubrick krazy-ness on YouTube by Rob Ager.
Tumblr media
Before we break, here’s one last thing to chew on: the iconic carpet that Danny spins down on his Big Wheel was created by David Nightingale Hicks, the hot designer of the Swinging Sixties. The carpet wasn’t commissioned for the film, but in fact was in existence for about a decade prior. That particular pattern of brown, magenta, and orange is now licensed as Hick’s Hexagon, and you can buy a square for your own pad. Or (the more affordable option) you could just get a pair of socks. Kubrick was already familiar with Hicks’ work, though. The filmmaker featured the Chelsea Drugstore in a Clockwork Orange, a space designed by Hicks and the architectural firm he worked with (Garnett Cloughley Blakemore). Here’s a weird rabbit hole I fell down while researching: Hicks was married to Lady Patricia Mountbatten, the daughter of Louis Mountbatten, aka the First Earl Mountbatten of Burma, aka the last British Viceroy of India, and the man who oversaw the partition of that country into a separate Muslim state of Pakistan. It can be reasonably argued that Mountbatten’s clumsy transition to partition hastened the deaths of thousands during that period, as Hindus and Muslims scrambled to establish themselves in friendly territory. The bloodshed continues today in the two countries’ battle for control of Kashmir. Maybe something to ponder in concert with the image of an ocean of blood spilling from the elevator onto the brightly patterned floor? Another fun fact: Lord Mountbatten was assassinated by the Provisional Irish Republican Army 40 years ago.
Well, um, on that cheerful note, here’s to 2020! To be continued...

Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool tactical analysis via /r/LiverpoolFC
Crystal Palace 1-2 Liverpool tactical analysis
Liverpool went into the international break in the best possible way, beating Manchester City 3-1 to extend their lead over their main title rivals to nine points.
Jurgen Klopp went with Liverpool's usual 4-3-3 formation, although Mohamed Salah was rested as he recovers from an ankle injury, replaced by midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Roy Hodgson welcomed his former club to Selhurst Park with a 4-5-1 shape, hoping to put an end to a four match winless streak that saw Crystal Palace face off against some of the league's toughest opponents: Man City, Arsenal, Leicester City, then Chelsea.
As expected, Palace quickly set up trying to defend while Liverpool sought to break them down. Palace would drop off into their own half and allow Liverpool to come forward with the ball, their narrow defence blocking the centre and their midfield five giving them some defensive width to combat Liverpool's marauding full-backs.
While Palace pretty much completely ceded Liverpool's half to the visitors, they would begin to press Liverpool once they ventured near the half-way line.
Palace drop off
Jordan Ayew would hover around Fabinho when Palace sat back, but once Liverpool got towards Palace's half he would move out to close down the centre-back on the ball, still blocking the pass into the Brazilian. When he did this, one of his teammates would move up in support. If Dejan Lovren had the ball, Wilfried Zaha would push up close to Trent Alexander-Arnold and then curve his run to join Ayew in closing down the Croatian, also blocking the pass into Alexander-Arnold. If Virgil van Dijk had the ball, either Andros Townsend would do the same thing as Zaha, or Cheikhou Kouyaté would move up out of midfield to close down the Dutchman - the latter mainly happening when Ayew had been dragged far away from Van Dijk to close down Lovren. Palace's midfield would shift across behind them to cover the gaps opened up by whichever of them pushed forward to join Ayew - this was particularly important to cover Zaha as Jordan Henderson would often pull out to the right flank behind him.
Ayew covers Fabinho
Ayew presses. Zaha gets close to Alexander-Arnold
Zaha closes down Lovren, blocking the pass out to Alexander-Arnold
Lovren goes long
The centre-backs' response to this pressure was almost exclusively to hit a long pass in behind of the Palace backline. Palace would drop off deep enough so that Lovren and Van Dijk had plenty of time and space to pick out these passes and there was never much chance of them getting caught out by Palace's pressing, but the home side sitting back meant there also wasn't much space behind their backline for these passes to be played into. Van Dijk and Lovren, aided by the speed of their frontline, kept nearly pulling off perfect assists only for them to just be inches out of reach of the attacker, the backline getting in the way or Vicente Guaita rushing out to claim the bouncing ball first.
Aside from these long passes, Liverpool didn't really offer anything creatively. They would slowly pass the ball around the backline until they reached the half-way line, draw Palace's press then hit it long over the top of them.
With a lack of attacking inventiveness in this game, it's perhaps better to look at what Liverpool didn't do than what they did. The win against Tottenham Hotspur acts as an excellent comparison to this match: Spurs scored early on and then set up to defend their lead in a 4-5-1. In response, Liverpool moved the ball around quickly, passing the ball out to one flank, drawing Spurs across then switching it out to the other side. Palace were set up even better for Liverpool to exploit than Spurs due to their pressing: when Zaha, Townsend or Kouyaté pushed up alongside Ayew the other midfielders would tuck inside to cover their space, however this would inevitably leave the full-back on the opposite flank in loads of space if Liverpool could quickly switch play.
Liverpool seemed to try to stretch the pitch early on, hitting balls out to players hugging the touchline, yet gave it up fairly quickly when it didn't immediately work. Joel Ward and Patrick van Aanholt were doing really well to get out and meet these wide attacks, but as they were having to start from such narrow positions this wouldn't have been sustainable over 90 minutes. Sprinting out from the box to the touchline is fine the first or second time, but it's likely that they would have slowed down by the thirtieth or fortieth. That leaves two options: either Liverpool get more space in the wide areas or the full-backs take up wider positions that give Liverpool more space through the centre.
Palace's narrow defending made it understandably difficult for Liverpool to play through the centre, but Liverpool never really made any effort to manipulate it. Against Tottenham, Georginio Wijnaldum would drop deep next to Fabinho, drawing Moussa Sissoko up the pitch and leaving a gap behind him. Given Kouyate was keen to push forward anyway, this same movement would have probably worked against Palace, which could have helped Liverpool play through the centre, or, in the event that Townsend would simply have tucked inside to cover him, more space for Andy Robertson out wide.
Fabinho was also quite often an open-but-unused passing option. Ayew would block the pass into him initially, however once the ball was passed across to the other centre-back his efforts to get across and cut off the Brazilian again were unenthusiastic. Liverpool could have quite easily drawn Ayew's pressing, switched the ball to the other centre-back and played a short pass into Fabinho. This would have asked questions of Palace's midfield: do they step up to stop Fabinho and risk opening up a gap for Wijnaldum, Henderson or Roberto Firmino, or do they sit back and give Fabinho space to use himself? Liverpool never asked these questions of Palace though, they just thumped the ball over their heads.
That it was a fairly even game when the gulf in quality between the two sides is large would suggest Palace were doing something right. While this was certainly true defensively, it's questionable offensively. They grew throughout the first half, but they only really seemed to actually engage Liverpool due to Alexander-Arnold have a terrible start to the game, continually gifting the ball away with poor passes or touches. When they did attempt it, Palace were able to play around Liverpool's press with fantastic one touch passing (the best example is 27 minutes in if you want to hunt it down) but more often than not they simply looked to get the ball as quickly as possible to their wingers and break.
Ceding Liverpool's half meant that they had plenty of space to run into once they won the ball back, however Liverpool's tendency to smack the ball long meant Palace were generally winning the ball back in low areas of the pitch. Townsend's one-footedness meant that when the ball came to him, he was having problems moving the ball forward without just running in the direction of Van Dijk.
Zaha was much more useful, causing Alexander-Arnold problems, however Palace were rarely able to catch out Liverpool's defence. James McArthur and Kouyaté would sprint forward in support of Ayew, but Palace were generally starting their runs from so deep that Liverpool's defenders were back in position before they could get there. Palace had the better chances of the first half, but it was more due to the poor play of Liverpool than their own brilliance, as these attacks were more useful for winning corners which then let them get their defenders forward than for creating goalscoring opportunities in open play.
Shortly into the second half, Liverpool took the lead. You could tie it to some of Liverpool's strategy - their counter-pressing making them likely to win loose balls, Firmino dropping off into midfield, them keeping three men forward to make them a threat on the counter - but in truth it was simply individual quality that won Liverpool their lead.
They won the loose ball from an aerial battle, Robertson bombed down the left and hit a first-time cross, Firmino's run panicked the Palace backline so none of them tried to cut it out and Mane finished. Ayew had two superior chances for Palace to take the lead and fluffed them, Mane had one half-chance and put it in the net. That was the difference between the two sides.
With the lead Liverpool looked more comfortable. They still lacked creativity, but now they were on course for three points they didn't need it. They simply played keep-away for most of the second half while Palace were forced into chasing them in an attempt to get back into the game. Robertson also seemed to realised Townsend simply isn't very good, repeatedly rushing past him whenever there was space.
Just as Palace seemed to grow into the game in the first half, they seemed to fade out of it in the second, only to then score late on. Liverpool had a throw-in in their half, Alexander-Arnold's pass rebounded off of a Palace player and Zaha was on the break, slipping away from Liverpool players before offloading the ball to substitute Christian Benteke down the left.
Lovren moved out to cover the right flank and display why he's now fourth-choice. He initially shaped his body well, showing Benteke down the line while positioned to block a touch inside. He then squared up (shifting in anticipation of Bentek cutting inside? Who knows?) and stuck out a leg as Benteke easily knocked it past him, completely cutting him out of the game.
Lovren shapes himself well to confront Benteke
Lovren squares up
Lovren sticks out a leg as Benteke eases past him
\"Oh no!\"
Benteke passed inside to Townsend, who knocked it on to Zaha. Robertson quickly moved across in anticipation of blocking a left-footed shot but Zaha brilliantly let the ball roll across him, winning himself space at the far post to finish.
Robertson moves to block a shot...
…but Zaha lets the ball roll across him, winning space to finish
There was barely enough time for Liverpool to panic before they retook the lead though. They won a corner and Van Dijk, as he had throughout the game, got himself free to turn the ball towards goal. Palace blocked the initial touch and Van Dijk's follow-up, but there were so many players crowded around the ball that there was no space to clear it, enabling Firmino to pounce and restore Liverpool's three points.
Part of this goal can be blamed on disorganisation, as an injury to James Tomkins meant that other players had to switch roles: Benteke can be seen running out to pick up a Liverpool player pretty much as Alexander-Arnold swings it in, hardly giving him enough time to work out what's going on.
It also shows some glaring flaws with man-marking though. Terrible camerawork means the movement of Liverpool's attackers for the corner isn't obvious, but here's an earlier example:
Gary Cahill doesn’t get close to Van Dijk
Gary Cahill is the man who is supposed to be marking Van Dijk. As England's love train showed, crowding players together leaves no space for defenders to get tight to their man. When they can't get tight to their man, it's easy for that attacker to go free, and Van Dijk managed it throughout the match.
Secondly, it's easy for defenders to all get dragged into the same areas if they have to follow their men. When that happens there can easily be no space for them to actually do their jobs effectively, such as clearing a football:
The Palace defenders are packed so tight they can’t clear the ball
It wasn't a great performance from Liverpool but it is a familiar one. Liverpool have often grinded out victories this season, and last, due to their individual quality or excellent counter-pressing rather than blowing away their opponents. While last season's easing off into a mid-block felt like it was a reaction to opponents shutting down and looking to counter, this season it appears to be more of an attempt to manage their heavy schedule across the season, doing the bare minimum to get their points and stay fit. Why get the full-backs to bomb forward if they don't have to, especially with little back-up and the Club World Cup to contend with?
It's all guesswork without Klopp or the coaching staff admitting it, and while it has led to many close games that Liverpool should probably be winning with greater ease, you also can't really argue with decisions that have led to just two dropped points so far.

Whenever ascertained, the Bushfire Attack Level Toolbox tool stash gives characterized levels:
BAL– LOW
BAL– 12.5
BAL– 19
BAL– 29
BAL– 40
BAL– FZ
How would we decide BAL
The Bushfire Attack Level Toolbox tool kit applies Method 1 from AS 3959– 2009 to decide the BAL. Strategy 1 is an improved system to decide the BAL, which includes five stages. This technique is liable to impediments on the conditions in which it can be utilized.
Decide significant FDI
The significant Fire Danger Index (FDI) depends on Table 2.1 from AS 3959– 2009, for every purview or locale inside a ward. The FDI means that the shot of a shoot beginning, its rate of spread, force and the trouble of suppresion in view of the mix of air temperature, relative dampness, wind speed also, both long-and here and now dry season impacts. The FDI utilized as a part of AS 3959– 2009 alludes to the Forest Fire Danger Index figured by the McArthur Mk 5 Forest Fire Danger Meter utilizing the conditions distributed by Noble et al. (1980)
Vegetation characterization
The vegetation of the site is characterized as per the direction gave in Table 2.3 and the relating figures in AS 3959– 2009. Where there is more than one vegetation write, every vegetation compose is characterized independently with the most dire outcome imaginable connected. For instance, if there is a blend of prairie and shrubland, at that point the vegetation would be delegated shrubland, as this outcomes in a higher BAL assessment .
All in all, the land cover datasets frequently just present the dominating vegetation write. Consequently, we can't generally decide the "assuming the worst possible scenario" estimation of BAL rating. This could additionally be controlled by approval on the ground.
AS 3959– 2009 gives a rundown of avoidances to low risk vegetation and non-vegetated zones, where the BAL is named LOW. This incorporates vegetation more noteworthy than 100 meters from the site, little (< 1 ha) territories of vegetation that are likewise in excess of 100 meters from other vegetation and low risk vegetation that incorporates field overseen in negligible fuel conditions. This incorporates yards, fairways, plantations and developed greenhouses, among others. Non-vegetated zones incorporate conduits, streets, structures, trails and rough outcrops.

With restaurants ubiquitous with wireless fidelity signals to feed the digital generation of its hunger for online presence, Urban Table Bistro maintained its wifi-free environment to foster interaction and quality bonding. The restaurant would welcome you with intimate interiors of wooden fixtures with homey accents. Warm lighting fosters the feeling of calmness and relaxation.
The Pampanga Blogger’s Society group with Chef Don Quito
With Chef Don Quito’s passion for maintaining the quality of his food and not sacrificing innovation, he developed the array of dishes in his menu at Urban table Bistro which he described as the Classic Favorites Reinvented. There are many dishes that I have made my first try in this very restaurant. The overall visual presentation of the food is excellent that is perfect for social media post enthusiasts.
What caught me by surprise is his unique CHOCOLATE BAGOONG PASTA, the mix of sweet and salty tastes made a wonderful surprise on my taste buds with that miraculously lesser obscenity of the fermented shrimp paste.
Chocolate Bagoong Pasta
The SEAFOOD PASTA came with an al dente pasta with flavourful sauce and humongous prawns partnered with a long crunchy toast.
Seafood Pasta
Best during long barkada catch ups, the DIRTY FRIES  with FLAVOURED BEERS comes in almost perfect partnership while waiting for the late comer friends.
Dirty Fries and Flavoured Beers
Being a Filipino, who would say no for the uber CRISPY CHICHARON that comes in thin fried strips and that divine vinegar sauce, and the Kapampangan classic, MORCON for a protein packed meal.
Crispy CHICHARON
MORCON
Treat your parents with tender DRUNKEN BBQ RIBS and GRILLED CHICKEN INASAL with delightful Mango Salsa on top.
Grilled Chicken Inasal with Mango Salsa
Drunken BBQ Ribs
Ever craved for something ultra crunchy pork? Try Chef Don’s own version of BAGNET.
Crispy Bagnet
Feeling  an ailment is about to arouse from the abyss? Gulp the MALUNGGAY DOUBLE APPLE SHAKE, STRAWBERRY SHAKE and HONEY CALAMANSI JUICE with CHIA SEEDS, packed with nutrients that would surely help you ward off any starting illness.
Honey Calamansi with Chia Seeds and Flavoured Beer
Strawberry Shake and Malunggay Double Apple
Have a good morning feel with his own version of SPAM FRITTATA, I personally loved the cheese sauce toppings! Partner this egg dish with the HOUSE SALAD for a complete meal.

To perfectly cap your bonding, it is best to share the MANGO TANGO and YEMA BRULEE for your sweet tooth cravings.

Panagbenga Festival is considered as one of the most attended festival in the Philippines and one with the largest media coverage. The highlights of the yearly flower festival are the Street Dance Parade and Float Parade that showcases multicoloured floats made entirely from flowers of every kind. Baguio has so much to offer to tourists. Visitors can visit religious sites, heritage sites, military camps, Spooky Places, Do Ukay-Ukay Shopping all day and even midnight, go on a food trip, pasalubong shopping and so much more.
Here are some of the recommended things to do and see in the Philippines Summer Capital:

Now under the auspices of the Bases Conversion & Development Authority (BCDA), Camp John Hay is now a sort of country club complete with an 18-hole golf course, horseback riding, camping and many more.

Panagbenga Travel Tips
Panagbenga Festival 2017 Official Schedule of Activities
Book your Bus Tickets ahead
Try to make the trip at night as there will be less cars and pedestrians on the street that may cause traffic
Book your Hotels in Advance
Bring comfortable walking shoes
Always bring an umbrella and a rain coat / hoodie jacket.
Secure your important belongings when in crowded places
Arrive early in Session Road to secure your spot if you are planning to watch the Grand Street Parade (February 25) and Grand Float Parade (February 26)
Bring wide array of wardrobe as the temperature varies from extremely hot (noon-time) to extremely cold (night-time).
It is advised to walk when visiting tourist destinations in the town center because they are actually close to each other and it will save you money.
How to Get to Baguio City
By Bus from Manila: Air-conditioned bus trips to Baguio leave Manila, Pasay and Quezon City terminals daily in an hourly basis. Popular bus lines offering Baguio route are Victory Liner, Partas, and Genesis among others. One way bus ticket would cost you P450, and travel time will be approximately 6-7 hours (or longer) during Panagbenga Season.
Via private vehicle:
While it takes at average 4-6 hr to get to Baguio City by car, it takes much longer during holiday long weekends, Holy Week, Panagbenga Season etc.
Drive through NLEX.
Take Exit 85 right into SCTEX.
Transfer to the right lane and drive to Baguio via Tarlac.
Take the Tarlac exit and follow the road signs that will take you to MacArthur Highway.
Once you’re on MacArthur Highway, drive straight to Tarlac and Pangasinan until you reach Rosario, La Union.
From the Rosario junction, you can turn right into famous Kennon Road. This is the most popular and scenic route up Baguio City.
If you prefer the wider lanes of Marcos Highway, drive further into Rosario and turn right towards the new entrance.
[Note: TPLEX is now open; you can take it from SCTEX to avoid much of McArthur Highway]
