Icemen dating headcanons: flirting and first date
I thought I’d try my hand at some headcanon post. By the way, I take requests for other characters or group of characters too, so feel free to ask and I will try to provide my hcs! The reader is someone who hangs around the group or maybe even a fourth member, gender unspecified
Let’s start with...
Tumblr media
Tona
Tona is arguably the most mild mannered one in the team. He tends to be more of a follower and doesn’t seem to have strong opinions one way or the other. But he is not indifferent when it comes to you...
He would grow attached to you but hide it, not wanting to scare you. He does tend to come across as intimidating, after all.
Optional: he actually accidentally scared you while trying to be friendly. He gave himself a bit of a scolding afterwards.
Generally, Tona will end up making a move if you don’t make one first
Tona would try to plan a little and maybe take you on a trip to a meaningful place, maybe in nature or else.
Considering his hobby is cooking, he could arrange for you to go on a trip together, he rents a cabin with a beautiful view and makes you the fanciest home cooked meal you ever had (he’s particularly fond of seafood, but will keep your preferences in mind) Add a good wine to accompany it, candles and everything. He’s very detail oriented...
He wears a cute apron, too!
Or...just cozy yet fitting house clothes showcasing his toned physique...
Tona would probably feel less comfortable at a fancy restaurant. He attracts lots of attention with his stature and rather rough looks.
Privacy and taking his time for this are important to him. He loves his friends but seeing Pino jawdropping in either outrage or jealousy upon witnessing the romantic scenes between you is something he’d try to avoid.
He would be a little nervous confessing but he wouldn’t let it show. He’d act confident too, maybe offer a surprisingly mysterious and charming smile. He’d caress your hand when the discussion takes a more romantic turn
He is so happy if you say yes and would melt inside if you surprised him with a kiss. Otherwise he is perfectly content with not rushing things. ^^
Low-key would feel like he almost didn’t deserve you
Tumblr media
Zoria
Out of them is the most guarded one and the one that takes the longest to open up
Zoria is generally polite to everyone, eventhough she comes across as cold at times, especially if you’re not used to her
Just like with Tona, you grow on her, but it will take really long for her to process her feelings
If you flirt with her she will be either really oblivious(if you’re too subtle) or blunt
Even if she likes you, Zoria will wait for your confession. Not because she is passive, it is just hard for her to process her feelings and put them into words. She is also very patient, generally.
Probably said confession would happen when you two share a deep meaningful conversation when retreating somewhere outside by yourselves away from a loud party/main group gathering/etc...
If you let her make the first move, Zoria wouldn’t make a confession and instead just place her hand over yours or head on your shoulder, just enjoying the calm moment
It’s all very intuitive and afterwards she keeps sharing these increasingly intimate moments with you. You can see she trusts you too because she will begin talking more out of her initiative, sharing her feelings and concerns and maybe even opening up about her past to some extent
If you asked her out, she might either take some time to think about it, making you a little nervous
But she does show up on the date and is wearing the prettiest dress
Zoria actually said she loves flowers (not the Ponchi and Conchi sort) so she will appreciate if you put together a bouquet. She likes wild flowers, if you picked them yourself it’s even more special to her
Responds to your confession with a genuinely warm smile and holds your hand tight
Tumblr media
Pino
Pino formed a strong impression of you the moment he met you. He either liked or disliked you as he tends to think in extremes, but it seems like regardless of his initial impression, he fell for you badly in the end.
You know how Pino loves to brag?
Now picture this multiplied by ten or so
If the others are around or the situation involves even the slightest amount of competition, Pino will make sure that he looks the best in front of you even at the expense of the other person. He seeks your approval and its quite noticeable.
His teammates noticed this and already offered you the honor of being the one to talk Pino out of grandiose decisions or dramatic mood swings.
Pino will come up to you with unwanted advice about your training, technique, form and pretty much anything else you can imagine. Your life philosophy, goals, discipline, environment etc etc.
He might actually stop acting so arrogant if he sees it bothers you though
He tends to make himself look silly at times when his crush is really obvious for everyone present.
Zoria and Tona end up giving him dating advice and are very supportive of you two (they ship it)
Upon deciding to finally take action, Pino will invite you on a date. There are different routes for this
If you seem to be the type who enjoys a night out and you’re on the more sociable side (and your relationship is more casual and relaxed already), Pino takes you to his favorite pub to have dinner and/or drinks with all his friends. If you two had been flirting, he will openly brag about you and hold you in his arms.
He’d even take you for a dance (even better if there’s Irish band playing live) and swing you around while attracting all the attention. He is pretty skilled at it and depending how brave or tipsy he is he will go for a kiss at the end.
If he decides to confess first instead and you want to scrap the above scenario, Pino might invite you on a daytime date. A cafe/bar/pub, amusement park, outdoors trip, visiting some town etc.
If this was a official, more serious date however some of Pino’s confidence might fade and he will be actually shy with his confession. He tries to play it cool, maybe sliding an arm around you casually at times
He would blush and it’s visible with his complexion. He just gets all red but he brushes it aside with a laugh and tries to act cool about it
He loves kissing and would either initiate a kiss spontaneously during the date or after his confession
He would be flustered and a little embarassed if you rejected it, but still very happy about the whole thing
If you accept the kiss he will hold you in his arms for a good while afterwards
If you two spent the day alone he will walk back to his friends holding your hand with a cocky smile
Good luck meeting his father tho lol (He’s described as a very scary man)

Body HC - Zoria Amell
Zoria stands at 5′6″ or 167.6 cm. She’s naturally curvy, with an even ratio for hip to breast. That said, her hips and breast are full figured and waist is small, creating the bottle shape and has a habit of wearing corsets and bodices to accentuate that ratio even more. She has curvy legs, with thicker thighs and behind. Her skin is a dark, middle toned amber.
She hasn’t any scars to speak of, not any of major note, as it were. Her hands are strong but feminine, without much callousness to them. Her nails are well kept, fingers slender but firm.
Her gait always has a slight swing to it, an air of flirtatious confidence in her steps. She’s self assured and graceful, but very firm with each and every step she takes.

(     *     VALENTINE’S DAY ALPHABET   !    | ACCEPTING
@celestiae sent:  M : MOONLIGHT. what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc? (zoria)
This is a bit of a hard one to answer, because Zoria’s preferences on that sort of thing change and evolve throughout her lifetime.
Obviously, when she was in the Circle, there wasn’t much of a chance for dates. Mainly just stolen moments in the corridors out of sight of anyone else. And she did partake in that sort of interaction. Mainly just to feel something.
After leaving the Circle and going on the run after the Blight, just something with a few nice things like Antivan wine and Orlesian cakes would be good enough. Too much would get attention and she did not want to be dragged back to the Circle.
If Leliana becomes Divine, Zoria definitely likes to be taken somewhere nice, with good food and music, and then maybe a stroll under the stars and talk. Followed by going somewhere private, if everything else in the date went well.

Sometimes I think about Sorin’s plan when he arranged for his brothers and himself to go to Kinloch was to enable all five for them to escape, not to study magic in bloodlines and how to better nullify it like he told the Chantry in Kirkwall to be allowed to do this study.
And I think about how he’d managed to procure different information he required under Kirkwall’s guards’ noses, even being able to write back and forth with his father in Tevene. But he never told Dazbo who his connections were and where they would go afterwards.
He tended to act alone and did so due to having been raised in Kirkwall’s Circle. And that might have caused some hiccups in his carefully thought out plan to get him and his siblings out of the Circles, out of South Thedas, and into Tevinter.

💔 Zoria
send me a 💔 for my muse to talk about one of their exes. | ACCEPTING
“You could say I’ve a bit of a reputation for scandal in my life,” Zoria remarked dryly. “And that was no different as an apprentice.” She sucked in a breath, brows raising a bit. “My first time was when I was 16 with an instructor about 10 years my senior. And we kept up the relationship for some time. I decided I probably shouldn’t do it after a few months and glad I did that.” She paused.
“It turned out he was a blood mage, having studied under Uldred.”

You got: Impulsiveness
You don't think before you act, or get mad, or even speak. Before the notion has finished forming itself in your brain, you rush to make it real, and every nanosecond that it takes is agony. Good meals take time. Successful careers take years of hard work. The things most worth having require patience. You need to work on your long game. So relax and take it slow for once.

Heres that idea about what if my Amells dad was a Tevinter mage from an altus family. (Please note: this only has to be applicable to those interested. Also note; it’s sort of a fleshed rough idea and I’m open to any pointers.)
Aelius Ortus was the older son of the Ortus family in the Tevinter Imperium. They are an altus level family, with the head of house a magister in the magisterium. That was to fall to Aelius upon his father’s death, but his younger brother, Nox, decided he desired it for himself, using darker blood magic and connections to gain an upper hand on his brother.
Aelius decided to flee for a time, taking the name Alaric Ortega ending up choosing Kirkwall to hide in. There he met Revka Amell and fell in love, marrying her in his self imposed exile. He still had the birthright amulet, though, and he knew his brother would try to find him.
But a new concern arose with the children they had. Sorin was the first to develop his powers and taken to the Circle. Aelius chose to flee with his family, but each child was found and taken to the Circle. When the youngest, Aurora, was taken, he decided to return to Tevinter and gain enough pull to get his children out.
It was a slow, hard climb to get himself where he needed to be and had managed to get in contact with Sorin to come up with an escape plan. There were old maps of the Ferelden Circle tower he’d found and he’d discovered a forgotten tunnel. All he needed was for all his children to be there. Sorin managed to do that, but Uldred’s betrayal occurred. This caused Sorin and Elio to be killed, but Dazbo, who had been aware of the escape plan, managed to destroy his phylactery and escape. Aelius lost track of him afterwards, and with Zoria running off after helping the Hero of Ferelden, lost track of her as well.
Aurora remained in the Ferelden Circle and with what occurred, it would make things difficult. So he had to figure out another option. Yet when she was taken on as Wynne’s assistant with her work, that caused another hurtle Aelius would have to deal with.
And then the White Spire Revolt occurred. And he knew she was in the rebellion, but it proved difficult to keep track of her movements. It was only when she joined the Inquisition was he finally able to make contact, if he ever decided to. And perhaps, in time, she would be able to contact her remaining siblings, Zoria and Dazbo.

Honestly, Dazbo, Zoria, and Aurora are staunchly against blood magic due to what happened. Do they think a mage is evil who uses it, per se? Not necessarily. Do they think there are better ways and are against its use? Yeah.

Zoria actually has a low sense of self worth while in the Circle. She compensates this by acting confident, flirty, and making connections with people how she can. The memories of her family, of being on the run, not having a stable life due to her and her siblings’ magical gifts started it but then the Chantry’s discussion of magic being a curse only deepened this self loathing she suffered from.
But running away from all of that, and seeing the world, experiencing new things helped her feel...Free, for once in her life. Free from more than just the Circle, but free from the chains she created around herself.

A Completed History for my Amell Family Part I
*Please note, when interacting with other Amells, the mother doesn’t necessarily have to be Revka. They can be cousins
Part II: here Part III: here (warning: contains triggering content of sexual abuse/harrassment)
Please note, this will be long. It’s a whole history Dazbo, Zoria, Aurora, and their family. It is broken into multiple parts. Get ready for a novella.
Aelius Ortus was the older son of a Tevinter Magister who ended up in a blood feud with his younger brother. He found himself on the losing side and fled to Southern Thedas, taking on the fake name of Alaric Ortega, taking up being a merchant and passing himself off as Antivan. He found himself in Kirkwall, where he befriended the Amell family and fell in love with Revka Amell. The pair were married, and despite the dangers of Kirkwall and it’s strong anti-mage stance, he settled there. His brother wouldn’t think to look for him in Kirkwall, after all.
Their first son was born in 9:02 and they named him Sorin. in 9:05, they welcomed their second son, Dazbo. By this time, Aelius had firmly set himself up as a respected merchant in Kirkwall and he and his family lived comfortably. In 9:07, a third son was born named Elio.
The happy family situation changed, though, when Sorin’s magical abilities manifested sooner the Aelius had expected and he was taken to the Circle in 9:09. Considering this, Aelius looked into more of his and Revka’s family history, after Zoria was born in 9:10, he decided to leave Kirkwall to figure out a way to get Sorin back with their family. He was now suspecting his family would show magical abilities prior to the typical age due to both his own family history and Revka’s.
The next to be taken to the Circle was Dazbo in 9:13. While in the southern part of Antiva, Dazbo decided to get Zoria a birthday gift. Despite being warned about his magic, he used it to distract a shopkeeper to nab a necklace (not expensive and he would have bought the money back later, he had forgotten it). Unfortunately, there was a templar nearby who chased after him and took him to the Antivan Circle. Revka had been pregnant at this time and as soon as Aurora was born in 9:13 and she was able, Aelius moved his family again.
At the border of Ferelden and Orlais in 9:16, Elio was discovered by people outside of the family to have magic and they alerted the templars and Elio was taken to the Montsimmard Circle. Aelius and Revka moved with their two daughters deeper into Ferelden, hoping the nation’s culture of freedom would help them protect their two daughters.
That didn’t happen, though, as Zoria was playing with village children and got into an argument at one of their houses. In the argument, her magic slammed a door as well as caused a flurry of wind around her. This was in 9:18 and she was swiftly taken to Kinloch Hold.
The last to be taken was Aurora in 9:21. She had shown a greater connection with spirits from a young age, and Aelius suspected she would grow up to be a spirit healer. Due to the stress of the moving and losing her children one by one, Revka became ill. Aelius, not a healer, left to get help as he had heard a respected spirit healer was nearby. Left alone, Aurora called on a spirit of Compassion to help her heal her mother. Unfortunately, this was when the templars and Wynne arrived. Revka pleaded for them to take Aurora to Kinloch to be with her sister, and Wynne seeing Aurora’s abilities, arranged for it to be so, as the young girl had similar abilities to her own.
After losing his children, Aelius realized he couldn’t recover them with the powers he had now. He decided to work to return to Tevinter and retake his place as magister from his brother and use his connections that way. He and Revka traveled north and he began work on gaining alliances and connections to usurp his younger brother.
In 9:28, he had sufficient connections and alliances to start shaking his brother’s foundations. During this time, he managed to get in contact with his oldest son in secret coded messages. They worked out a plan to help him and his siblings escape from the Circles, but it required all of them to be at Kinloch. One of the items Aelius sent him in secret was a ring with their Ortus family crest on it so he could use it to prove himself to Aelius’s allies when he met them.
In 9:29, Sorin requested to be able to go to Kinloch Hold with his siblings in order to study magic in family lines. He made a good argument on why it was priority for all of his siblings to be there and he was a well liked and behaved mage for Kirkwall, so there was little reason to be suspect. He also said he hoped to find a way to cut off the magic without forcing Tranquility. It was a lie, but he was able to hold it and get permission, as long as he and his brothers had templar handlers travel with them and have their phylacteries so they could track them if they tried anything.
And this was precisely what Sorin had hoped for.

☆ Headcanon Prompts ☆ Clothing Preferences | ACCEPTING
@duchissa sent: 👑 = Does your muse always spend a lot of money on their clothes, or do they buy cheap clothes? (for your noble born babs!!)
Okay so my noble born (as in legitimate children of nobility) characters are as follows:  Antoinette, Aurora, Dazbo, Emrys, Etienne, Katarina, Lir, Seigfried, Selena, and Zoria. The answers for them are under cut.
Tumblr media
Antoinette is Orlesian so it’s definitely expected for her to spend a fair amount of money on her attire. It’s a status symbol and her wealth, considering she married into the de Ghislain family. She has dresses made from the finest silks, jewelry from the best quarries, and so much more. It’s something she’s accustomed to, and not necessarily something she thinks too much about. She keeps with Orlesian fashion, of course, but she prefers to occupy her mind with other matters.
Tumblr media
Aurora does not spend much on clothing, honestly. Just a few nice things here and there, but despite the nobility of her family, she was born when they were moving from place to place after Sorin was taken to the Circle. She learned how to be humble and that a plain dress was just as good as a jewel studded silk one. And often times, with her work as a healer, clothing gets messy so she tends to go for the less expensive. She does, of course, enjoy the occasional pretty dress or outfit, but is often more conservative with her style and it mimics Fereldan attire.
Tumblr media
Dazbo has a great love for the finer things in life, and does try to look his best and prefers clothing which suits him. Of course, this can add up in price, which is difficult for an apostate to come by. He manages, though, with under the table type dealings. Even then, if he knows it won’t do him any good to have fancy attire, he will forgo the expensive option for a cheaper, more durable type of clothing.
Tumblr media
Emrys has little interest for material items that don’t add to knowledge or wisdom. He wears the most reasonable and durable attire he can find, often for long periods of time. He’s in competition with Solas for the top looking “unwashed apostate hobo” look honestly. His nobility background has little bearing on his fashion choices, but he can be fashionable if he needs to be. And often times, he really hopes he doesn’t need to be as he finds expensive clothes stifling.
Tumblr media
Even though born from an affair with a mage, Etienne was legitimized by his father. And his father always made sure he had the best, even when he was sent away to the Circle. His father was his patron and this often meant some of the finest robes were made for him and sent to the Spire. He had to look decent as he often was utilized as a bridge between the mages of the Spire and the nobility. After the White Spire Revolt, he did chose for more practical attire, but it always had a little bit of an expensive flair to it.
Tumblr media
Katarina, herself, doesn’t spend a lot of money on clothes. The Order isn’t one for such frivolities. But her parents, on the other hand, often have expensive gowns made for her for when she visits them and they often will hold a gala when she’s there. She’s expected to be dressed to the nines, even if she might prefer to be hold up somewhere with a book in some training clothes instead. But that’s the expectation of being a noble in Wycome - always be present and looking wealthy and gorgeous at their parties while sipping on Antivan wine.
Tumblr media
Being from one of the highest noble families in Ferelden, it’s expected for Lir’s attire to match that. With a wealth of fur and the blues of the Cousland family, Lir has to spend a decent amount of money on clothing due to his work as a royal advisor and, at times, ambassador. That doesn’t mean he feels like he must always have the finest attire, though, and if he knows he has a long trip, he will go for something cheaper but more durable.
Tumblr media
Seigfried tends not to spend a lot of money on his clothing, as he tends to wear leather from his hunts. If he supplies the material, it cuts down the cost of the clothing. While he does have some expensive attire, he tends to save that for “stuffy” social functions, oftentimes preferring to dress like the lower class and that of his fellow Ostwick guards. Sometimes people are often surprised he’s a Trevelyan if they just run into him at Skyhold due to his preference of attire.
Tumblr media
Mm, yes, yes she does. Selena, while having run off from her noble family upon learning she was a mage, does like to look and feel pretty so does spend a little bit extra of her money from smuggling on the finer attire. Granted, it’s not as expensive if she had been a non-mage and remained home, but it’s expensive enough to suit her taste with nicer fabrics and jewelry to wear.
Tumblr media
If Zoria had her way, yes she would. But she doesn’t, so she makes due with what she has. She’s very interested in her own appearance, so she’d like her clothing to match her own looks and confidence level. And some people might even label her attire as a bit risque at times, it’s how she likes it and how she is. She’ll spend a little extra money if she sees something she especially likes and thinks would suit her, though.

A Completed History for my Amell Family Part II
Part I: here Part III: here (warning: contains triggering content of sexual abuse/harrassment)
Due to the length, this is broken up into multiple parts
The plan Sorin and Aelius had hatched involved the tunnels beneath Kinloch Hold. Aelius contacts had found an old layout for the Hold with tunnels leading away from the Hold. They were hidden and Sorin had learned the spells needed to find them. They were forgotten so no one would be the wiser. And the plan was for when Zoria’s phylactery was being transported to Denerim, “bandits” would attack the convey and destroy it while Sorin would destroy his, Dazbo, and Elio’s.
The one issue was solving how to get to Aurora’s.
Sorin knew he would require a templar but knew that would be difficult. As he and his handler met up with Dazbo and his handler, Sorin saw his chance. While the templars were off discussing matters, Sorin slipped Dazbo a note explaining the plan and requesting, with his personable personality and ability to read people, if he could comb over the templars to find a possible weak point.
While Dazbo was comfortable with his life in the Circle, the idea of Tevinter and the knowledge there was too enticing. Dazbo’s life in the Circle had been relaxed, as he knew how to get along with just about anyone he met, as well as convince the templars to allow him to travel with them to the local taverns to play games of Wicked Grace. But he was always interested in attaining more knowledge, and knew the Circle was stifling in that. So he agreed to help with the plan and Sorin taught him the spell to find the tunnels in secret as they traveled.
Upon arriving at Kinloch Hold, Sorin and Dazbo managed to explain the plan to Elio. By the time they arrived, though, it was early 9:30 and Zoria would be doing her Harrowing soon. She was of age and they would have to wait. Sorin continued the act of studying magic in blood lines while Dazbo scoped out any templars which he could convince to help them. He did hear some rumors of a young one having a crush on one of the Amell girls and quickly tried to suss out which templar it was.
Unfortunately, the events of Origins happened which threw a wrench in the plan. Now they had to get Zoria out of isolation, while getting into the Vault to destroy Aurora’s phylactery. While Sorin was devising a plan, that was when Uldred enacted his revolt.
Knowing something had to be done, Sorin gave the ring to Dazbo and ordered him to get their siblings out and Sorin would contend with Uldred to give them time. Dazbo didn’t argue and made his way through the tower, looking for his siblings. He was unaware Aurora was already moving to get Zoria out of isolation, knowing her sister didn’t have a chance in the cells.
After fighting for his own survival and staving off the temptations of demons, Dazbo found Elio with his templar, the two working together to fight off the demons in perfect sync, as if they knew each other intimately. Unfortunately, before Dazbo could help them, Elio was beheaded and his handler stabbed to death. This was a scarring moment for Dazbo and his rage encased the whole room in a righteous fire, destroying everything in its way.
Traveling deeper into the tower, Dazbo found his own handler, dead. Taking his moment, he grabbed his phylactery and destroyed it. He didn’t think his sisters were alive, especially not after seeing what happened to Elio. Aurora wasn’t harrowed and Zoria was a novice at best. Making a tough decision but knowing he had little chance for survival if he went to confirm they were dead, Dazbo used the tunnels to escape.
Aurora, meanwhile, successfully evaded the demons thanks to her abilities. Any time one was near, it would cause her great pain so she used that as a way to track their movements. When she arrived in the cells, Zoria was cornered and being tortured by a demon. Aurora used a disspell to break its hold and Zoria let out her fury against it and the two vanquished it together. Aurora released Zoria and begged Zoria to escape with her, back to Wynne.
But Zoria had other ideas. She wanted revenge against Uldred after Aurora explained what happened and the two swiftly made their way to his location.
The pair ran into the Warden and company when they met Cullen. While Zoria demanded to go in to fight Uldred with them, Aurora elected to remain behind to help Cullen by doing what she could to block the demons attempting to torture him. Doing so caused the young mage to end up in a coma for a week, as her body attempted to regain its strength from the difficulty of the task.
After Uldred’s defeat, Zoria demanded to travel with the Warden to stop the Blight, wanting to prove herself after what happened with Jowan and with her sister in a coma, she didn’t want to sit around and wait for the darkspawn to reach her sister.
After the Warden defeated the archdemon, Zoria found out her phylactery never arrived and took her chance to flee and have freedom. That left Aurora alone in the Fereldan Circle.
